About the Event

Eddie B. soared to new heights by creating his own opportunity starting with his series of comical videos titled "What Teachers Really Want to Say". In a matter of hours, those videos sparked the attention of educators all over the country when they realized that they were not alone and finally had someone to joke about the things they were reluctant to say out loud. 

Shortly after, Eddie decided to take his videos to the stage selling out comedy clubs, theaters, and arenas with his “Teachers Only Comedy Tour” in 2017-2018 and the “I’m Already Professionally Developed Tour” in 2019- 2020. When the worldwide pandemic made it impossible for Eddie to see his fans in person he began performing his "Teachers Only" comedy virtually! Now that things are getting back to normal Eddie B is ready to give educators more of his unfiltered comedy beginning with his " Teachers Only Summer Break Tour" in 2021!

Eddie B has established himself as the official voice of teachers across the globe. Comedian Eddie B brings uncensored, raw, and hysterically realistic portrayal of a teacher's hectic life with "Teachers Only Comedy Tour" to Atlanta's Fox Theatre on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 8 p.m. Eddie B is comedy on steroids! The Houston native is single handedly changing the comedy game, tapping into the minds of teachers around the world and selling out major arenas throughout the country in minutes.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased by visiting www.FoxTheatre.org , by calling 855-285-8499 , or at the Fox Theatre Ticket Office. Tickets are priced at $25-65, plus applicable fees.

While others waited in the wings for a shot at becoming a top standup comic, Eddie soared to new heights by creating his own opportunity with the blockbuster "Teachers Only Comedy Tour!" The worldwide comedy showcase is shattering attendance records with sold-out shows at venues including the Houston Bayou City Event Center and Stafford Civic Center. The "Teachers Only Comedy Tour" has established Eddie as the official voice of teachers across the globe. Educators from America to Africa, Dallas to Dubai, New York to New Delhi (and beyond) are getting a lesson in the funniest ways to express their worst frustrations and they are loving every second of Eddie B's point of view of an actual teacher!

The phenomenon, which began with a series of videos entitled "What Teachers Really Say" (written, produced, and starring Eddie B) has tapped into a niche only this multi-faceted comic/teacher can comprehend. Age Requirement

Please note that all guests require a ticket, regardless of age. Children under the age of 6 are not allowed at this performance. Children must be able to sit quietly in their own seat without disturbing other guests.

NEW - Cashless Payments for Snacks and Beverages at DPAC

• Cash is no longer accepted for snack or beverage purchases at DPAC’s lobby bars or snack and beverage stands.
• Snack and beverage purchases now require payment using credit or debit cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay or a DPAC gift card.
• If you happen to arrive at DPAC with cash only, guests may purchase a DPAC gift card in $20 increments at our Entry Lobby Guest Services window. These gift cards can then be used at any lobby bar or snack and beverage stand.

• Photography and video recording using mobile phones is not permitted .
• Mobile phones must be turned off before the start of the event.  
• GoPro’s, tablets, and cameras of any kind are prohibited at all DPAC events.

Safety First - Bag Check

• For your safety, all guests and their bags are subject to inspection before entry.
• This inspection may include the use of metal detectors.
• Restricted items include, but are not limited to: Alcohol, Cameras, Glass Bottles, and Weapons of any kind.
• In addition, no large bags are allowed including backpacks and large purses 12 or more inches deep.
• Small clutch purses are STRONGLY recommended.
• For family shows that allow very young children, diapers bags are allowed for guests with infants and toddlers (child must be present).

Special Effects

• For many events at DPAC, the performances contain bright lights, flashing strobe lights and theatrical fog or haze.
• DPAC does not control these lighting effects which are designed as part of the show and are used for dramatic effect.
• Theatrical fog or haze, comprised of safety tested glycol, glycol/water mixtures, water, mineral oil, or dry ice, is used to make lighting effects more visible, and to create a specific sense of mood or atmosphere.
• This event has not provided DPAC with any specific advisory.

For many concert, comedy, and special events at DPAC, we offer added views of the stage with two big screens (size: 16’ x 9’) hung to the sides of the stage or above the stage. These big screens can add to the visual experience of our concert, comedy, and special events and give guests seated farther from the stage what we like to call “a tenth row view”. Approval to use these screens always rests with the visiting show and about half of all concert and comedy events do use these screens.

Please note that group rates are typically offered for groups of 20 or more, but are sometimes offered for groups of 10 or more. Discounts range from 10-20% but vary from show to show (not all shows support a group rate due to high demand or other restrictions).

SMALL PURSES ONLY, PLEASE. PURSES ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH To efficiently create a positive and safe experience for all patrons, only small purses (13″W x 4″D x 9″H and smaller) are allowed into the theater and all are subject to search.

All other bags  including backpacks and oversized purses are  strictly prohibited  and  bag storage is NOT available  at The Pabst, The Riverside, Turner Hall Ballroom or The Back Room @ Colectivo.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED AND ARE NOT ALLOWED INTO ANY OF THE VENUES. Weapons, laser pens, signs, banners, electronic smoking devices (vapes, Juuls, etc.), oversized bags, backpacks, outside food and beverages including water, cans, bottles, alcohol, illegal substances, iPads/tablets, selfie sticks, laptops, professional audio recording devices (unless approved by artist), and any professional photography equipment. The use of vape pens inside the venues are prohibited as well.

PLAN AHEAD: LEAVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME Plan to arrive 30 minutes before you want to be in your seat  to allow time to go through our security check.  Please leave large bags at home or in your car.
