For just over $180 guests can book this tour that takes them through some of Kauai’s most beautiful destinations while simultaneously sending them on an unforgettable off-road adventure! The tour lasts approximately four hours and begins at Kipu Ranch. Safety helmets, goggles, and bandanas are included in the price of a ticket. Your ticket also includes a variety of drinks and beverages along the way.

Once you arrive at the ranch you’ll be introduced to your friendly and knowledgeable guide who will instruct you on how to drive and handle either a two- or four-person four-wheel drive vehicle. Once you’ve mastered the art of off-road driving, you’ll hit the rugged trails following your guide. Prepare to be amazing by the jungle scenery that awaits on one of the most exciting Kauai tours .

Once you reach the Huleia River, you’ll take time out for a scenic picnic lunch on the banks. Those looking to cool off might be interested in a quick dip in the water as well. • Can we switch drivers? Yes, up to 2 Drivers may take turns driving. Eligible Drivers may switch at designated stops
• Are solo rides available? Yes.
• Duration: 3 hours.
• Trail conditions: Journey down a 3,000-acre trail system, the tour is bumpy with tight winding turns. Ride along bamboo jungles and on unpaved dirt trails full of obstacles. Be ready to share the area with cattle, wild pigs, pheasants, peacocks, and wild chickens!
• Age restriction: All drivers must be at least 18 years. Children 9 years+ are welcome to join the tour as a passenger.

Local expert tips

• This a popular Kauai ATV tour, we recommend making reservations at least 2-3 weeks in advance.
• All drivers must provide a valid Driver’s License.
• The short hike is optional, the waterfall can be viewed from a lookout spot without the hike. The trail is rated easy to moderate on uneven ground, approximately 75 meters down and back up.
• What to wear: Closed-toe shoes are required. Guests may get dusty or muddy depending on weather conditions. We recommend guests wear dark clothing or clothing they don’t mind getting stained by Kauai’s red dirt.
• What to bring: swimming suit, sunscreen, towel, change of clothes, water bottle.
• If you are bringing a camera, we recommend using a case for dust, mud, and water protection.
• Tours operate rain or shine with the exception of severe weather conditions.
• Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour time to sign waivers and get geared up for your off-road adventure.

• From North (Princeville) or East (Kapaa & Wailua) Kauai: Head south towards Lihue on Highway 56. Hw 56 runs into Hwy 50 and continue on through the town of Puhi. Turk left at the 3 Mile Marker (Kipu Sign). Go 1/4 mile and take the first right onto Kipu Road, cross over a small bridge and follow the road to the top. Take a right at the "Kipu Ranch" sign and pull into the first driveway. From South (Poipu or Koloa) or West (Waimea) Kauai: Head east towards Lihue on Highway 50. Turn right after the Kauai Humane Society on the "Lihue Alternate" Road. Go 1/4 mile and take your first right on Kipu Road, cross over a small bridge and follow the road to the top. Take a right at the "Kipu Ranch" sign and pull into the first driveway. Parking is free. Do not go past the pine trees or monument after entering the Kipu Ranch parking area.
• Return times are approximate based on group size and riding conditions.

• This activity is not wheelchair accessible.
• Children 9 years old and above can participate in this activity.
• All drivers MUST be at least 18 years of age to operate machines and MUST provide a valid Driver’s License.
• No participants with recent surgeries, neck/back/knee problems, pregnant women, or any serious health conditions are allowed on tours.
• Drug and alcohol use is not permitted before or during tours. Impaired participation is not allowed for your safety.

• Participants are required to sign a liability waiver at the time of check-in.
• Safety helmets and goggles are provided by Kipu Ranch Adventures and are required for all guests to wear.

• A credit card will be required upon check-in to hold as a deposit for your vehicle. This card will only be charged if your vehicle is damaged due to negligence.
• Bring a water bottle. Water refill station available at check-in.

We had such an amazing time! If your lucky enough to get guides Cousin Kemo and Cousin Giggles then your in for a treat. They were both super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and sites. I loved the waterfal ... l and the fact we got to go swimming in the pond and under the waterfall! Next time we are on the island I will definitely book this tour again.

Very well organized! Our guides were very informative of the area. It's the perfect blend of riding with brief stops to take amazing pictures and breathe in Kauai's beauty and gorgeous scenery. It rained throughout our t ... our which made it muddier and that much more fun! We saw the waterfall, but for safety reasons, weren't able to swim in it. Be sure to take clothes and SHOES you won't mind getting muddy. The facility had an area to rinse off after the tour. It's an adventure must do!

Great ATV experience through rainforests

Great hosts we had, very informative about route, scenery, and hazards to watch for. The waterfall was really shorter than I expected and that day showed too much dirt in the bottom of the waterfall lagoon area. Yet Ove ... rall,it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this tour to friends/family.

Restrictions: For the safety of all participants, people who are pregnant, have significant neck or back problems, have extreme allergies to dust or pollen, or have had recent surgeries within the last three months will not be allowed to participate. Participants must be 9  years and older.

Drivers must be 18 years and older; 18-year-old drivers must provide proof of age and a picture ID at check-in. We reserve the right to request proof of age from any participant who will be driving. The weight limit on all vehicles is 320 lbs per person.

We tried the ATV adventure this week while visiting Kauai with our grandkids (ages 10 and 12). We all loved seeing the various locations for movie filming and learning the history of the ranch and island culture. Our guides were awesome and the kids had fun! Daniel and Boo Boo were our guides and they did a fantastic job of describing the history of the ranch and the views were amazing. They also were very good about emphasizing safe riding. The trails were quite fun and the side X sides all performed flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this trip. It was a once in a lifetime experience with a very friendly and helpful staff.

The event is nicely organized, safety is #1 priority, and lots of instructions that made us feel at ease. This was my first time driving a UTV, especially sliding in mud, but we felt very confident following the guide and another behind the group. The guides are brothers, and they work so well together that it made us all feel like friends; we heard many stories and information about the island and its history in the places we were standing, I really appreciated that! Taking the time to share with visitors the deep culture and importance of preserving the land is so important, I felt so grateful to be there!

Visited Kipu Ranch and did the 3-hour tour with my husband and 11-year-old daughter. We had a blast and very much enjoyed the stories told by our guide, Justin, whenever we stopped along the tour. I would recommend this to anyone, very safe and fun if you follow directions. The banana bread as a snack was homemade and amazing!!

Troy and Giggles were our guides and did an excellent job of showing the group how to drive the UTVs properly over the terrain. They shared some Hawaiian history and pointed out famous movie scenes that were filmed on the ranch, we were also treated to some great views of the island that you wouldn't otherwise see!

What a way to check out the private ranch where a couple of movies were shot. Our tour guides were very informative and funny. The test drive session they gave made us comfortable with the ATVs, which were well maintained and took on the most rugged surfaces with ease. The locations were beautiful!

Tons of drive time and great trails. Our six person atv was perfect for our family of five! We did this on the last day of our trip and it was the perfect way to finish the trip!
