I cannot begin to express how excited I am to live in a region that has a professional golf tournament tour stop! As an avid fan and golfer myself I was so excited to get the opportunity to meet & talk with the team involved with this huge event. Back in 2020 when the Korn Ferry Tour announced that Huntsville, AL was going to be home to a stop on their tour the entire golf world took note… including me. With the amazing growth, premium golf courses, and phenomenal community it only made sense that we host a stop for the future PGA Tour Pros. But first & foremost… GET YOUR TICKETS TODAY 🙂

The atmosphere of the Championship has something for every member of the family, regardless of how closely they follow golf. We can’t wait to see everyone up on the mountain.”

Huntsville is one of 26 international cities hosting a Korn Ferry Tour stop on the 2023 schedule. In 2013, the Korn Ferry Tour became The Path to the PGA TOUR. Those who are on the top 30 of the points list at year’s end are given PGA TOUR memberships for the next season. Notable PGA TOUR players who started on the Korn Ferry Tour include major champions Justin Thomas, Harrison Endycott, Scottie Scheffler and Will Zalatoris.

Ticket Options

In 2022 over 6,000 fans attended the HomeTown Lenders Championship, I’d bet we can beat that number easy this year! Below are 3 different ticket options. (ticket link to purchase yours at the top of this article)

• Choose any day of the event (Thursday – Sunday)
• Starts at $33.75
• Includes access to each day of the event (Thursday – Sunday)
• Starts at $210.75
• Includes prime viewing opportunity on the 18th hole, continental lunch buffet, afternoon snacks & desserts and an open bar, complete with an assortment of liquor, beer, wine and soft drinks

Military, First Responders, and Healthcare Workers

• All Active and retired U.S. Military, National Guard, Reservists, First Responders & Healthcare Workers will receive complimentary admission with an issued ID. Display ID at the Admissions Tent located at the Main Entrance to receive a complimentary Good Any Day ticket.
• Juniors ages 15 and under are admitted for free with a ticketed adult. Juniors will receive their complimentary Good Any Day ticket at the Admissions Tent located at the Main Entrance.

HomeTown Lenders Championship

The HomeTown Lenders Championship is a professional golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour, taking place annually at The Ledges in Huntsville, Alabama. The 72-hole tournament, formerly known as the Huntsville Championship, first began in 2021 and each year features the world’s best up-and-coming professional golf stars. HomeTown Lenders, a rapidly emerging leader in the national mortgage lending industry, helped take the championship to the next level by signing a five-year title sponsorship deal through 2027. The host course, The Ledges, opened in 2000 as an award-winning design by Hurdzan/Fry GCD, Inc., with designer Mike Hurdzan earning the “Designer of the Year” award by Golf Magazine in 2003 for his work on the course. What to Expect at the Huntsville Championship Golf Tournament

Professional golf is returning to Huntsville with the Huntsville Championship PGA Korn Ferry Tour hosted at  The Ledges  from April 28 - May 1.

The Korn Ferry Tour is a development tier that is the final step before earning PGA Tour eligibility, and more than 75 percent of PGA Tour pros are Korn Ferry “graduates,” including Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, John Daly, Zach Johnson and Justin Thomas.

Keep your eye on the  Top 25 players on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List  while watching the Huntsville Championship. The top 25 at the end of the season will earn their PGA TOUR card!

There will be several things staying the same this year, including the Thompson Cat Kid Zone (behind Green 9) with family lawn games such as putter ball, corn hole and more.

The tournament director, Penn Garvich, also let us know there will be more food and drink options this year.

Before you go, here’s what you need to know:

What are the dates for the tournament?

The Huntsville Championship is April 29 - May 1  at The Ledges. Tournament rounds take place from Thursday, April 28 - to Sunday, May 1. You can see an event schedule online .

How can I purchase tickets for The Huntsville Championship? 

All tickets for the tournament can be purchased through Clutch!, the official ticketing partner of the Huntsville Championship. You can purchase your tickets online .

When do the gates open, and where should I park? 

The front gates will open at 6:30 a.m. every morning. Gates will close 30 minutes after the conclusion of play for the day. 

Spectator parking is located in the Sandra Moon Lot at the Sandra Moon Community Complex located at 7901 Bailey Cove Rd SE, Huntsville, AL 35802. There will be a complimentary shuttle ride up the mountain to The Ledges that will also be available for your return. The shuttle will run throughout the duration of the tournament.

If you are dropping off or picking up a guest, you will need to go to the main entrance in front of the clubhouse.

Is there a course map?

The course map for the Huntsville Championship can be found online.

What can I bring to the course? 

Permitted items to the Huntsville Championship include mobile devices, clear bags, collapsible chairs without bags, seat cushions and binoculars. Cameras are permitted during practice rounds only. Smartphones are permitted throughout the tournament.

Prohibited items include weapons, selfie sticks, beverages/coolers, oversized lawn chairs, computers/laptops, posters/signs/banners and motorcycles.

The Korn Ferry Tour boasts a hybrid of new-comers, experienced professionals and veterans playing for their future.

Whether you’re a golf enthusiast, passionate for sports, or simply wanting to take part in bringing a signature professional event to Huntsville, the tournament offers a large variety of volunteer positions. We encourage you to volunteer and support the tournament’s charitable mission in giving through The Community Foundation of Huntsville and the Huntsville Hospital Foundation. Being a Huntsville Championship volunteer provides a unique experience allowing first-hand support and access to a professional golf event. We look forward to having your support in making this the #1 stop on the Korn Ferry Tour!

• Weekly tournament credential (will allow grounds access on days you are not volunteering)
• Complimentary food and beverage in the Volunteer HQ (only on assigned volunteer days)

* Complimentary round of golf at The Ledges (on select days) for volunteers that register and complete 2 or more shifts during the tournament.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama provides a prime viewing opportunity on the tournament’s closing hole. Positioned in close proximity to the Main Entrance and Ledges Clubhouse, guests can enjoy food and beverage in the main bar area or move closer to the action in the tiered.

Just three years after unveiling its 187,000-square-foot Global Home in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, the PGA TOUR is set to integrate the latest cutting-edge media production technologies at PGA TOUR Studios, a three-level facility adjacent to the Global Home. Here's what to know about Raleigh's UNC Health Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour

T he world of pro golf descends on Raleigh this week with the Korn Ferry Tour — the PGA Tour's developmental competition — making a stop at the Raleigh Country Club.

Why it matters: The UNC Health Championship has become one of the region's premier golf tournaments, attracting up-and-coming pro golfers and local favorites every year.

• Proceeds from the tournament go toward the funding of a new children's hospital in the Triangle.

What to know: The opening round of the tournament begins Thursday and will come to a close on Sunday. Grounds tickets start at $40 .

• Former UNC basketball coach Roy Williams is the chairman of the tournament this year and will play in the pro-am that begins Wednesday.
• The tournament plans to recognize the late Raleigh golfer Grayson Murray , who died by suicide last week, and place green ribbons around the course for mental health awareness month.

Several players with local ties will be competing in the tournament, including:

• Raleigh natives and former UNC players Ryan Gerard and Carter Jenkins
• Raleigh native Doc Redman
• Campbell University alum Pontus Nyholm and Brett McLamb, who played at both Campbell and N.C. State
• And David Ford, a rising senior at UNC
• Ryan Blaum, a Duke alum from Durham
