Today, Jamaican-American multi-instrumentalist, singer, rapper and producer Masego announces his return to Australian shores, with a national run of performances visiting Brisbane, Wollongong, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth throughout October 2023.      A platinum-selling prodigy with a billion streams to his name, Masego’s meteoric rise to fame in the world of jazz and hip-hop fusion has been bolstered by his live and unrivaled performances. From moving between microphone, drum machine and saxophone, Masego’s instrumental jazz rides the modern realm with soul, with his grand vocals sitting atop. A breakout series of EPs including his signature song, “Tadow”, were followed by collaborations with FKJ, Kaytranada, Kehlani and VanJess. Their widespread success paved the path for Masegos two studio albums, Lady Lady and this year’s critically applauded, Masego.      Masego touches down in Brisbane to perform at Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday, October 12. Two days later, he performs at Wollongong’s Yours & Owls Festival on Saturday, October 14. On Sunday, October 15, he takes to Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion for an all ages show, before heading down to Melbourne’s Forum for an 18 plus affair on Monday, October 16. Come Thursday, October 19, Masego makes his way to Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall before finishing off the impressive run with a stop at Perth’s Metro City on Friday, October 20.      An artist who thrives on mixing contemplation with extroversion, smoldering romance with knowing humor, promises his most spectacular shows to date in some of Australia’s most beloved venues.

Concert was everything I could imagine and more. He sounds wonderful live , VanJess did an amazing job opening. Crowd was very active a very intimate setting and would definitely see him again !!

The show was amazing! The crowd vibed so well with the artist which made the show flow very well. The only downside was that it was kinda short imo, but it was sweet so I can't complain too much. Maybe an inclusion of a cover or 3 may extend the show and it would be an amazing experience.

I'm so happy and impressed with Masego's performance. He has an amazing way of genuinely connecting with the crowd, rather than just "performing". Would definitely love to see him again!

Masego Announces ‘You Never Visit Me Tour’ 2023 Dates

Grammy-nominated artist Masego has announced his headlining You Never Visit Me Tour . 

The North American tour begins March 12, 2023, in Santa Ana, California, at The Observatory.

From there, Masego will visit major cities, including Seattle, Minneapolis, Cleveland, New York, Atlanta, Miami and Houston, before he concludes on April 27, 2023, in Los Angeles, California, at The Wiltern.

The comedic title of Masego’s tour is pure fun, as he gets in a running joke made by his U.S. fans who say he never tours in North America.

“To everyone that says I never tour in AMERICA, this is not a drill, I am going on tour in the states,” Masego wrote in an Instagram caption.

No supporting acts have been announced at this time. 

Tickets are available for presale on his official website . General on-sale tickets go live this Friday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. local time. 

Masego is currently playing dates overseas. He will end his abroad run with back-to-back concerts on Dec. 20 and 21 in the Netherlands.

While performing for enthusiastic fans elsewhere, Masego is debuting his latest single, “ Say You Want Me .”  The Afro-R&B track, co-produced by P2J and E.Y., is the lead single from Masego’s forthcoming untitled album.

Masego is supporting his most recent project, Studying Abroad . The record was initially released in November 2020 as an EP and subsequently expanded in the spring of 2021.

Studying Abroad: Extended Stay featured all the original songs from Studying Abroad , including the Don Toliver-assisted “ Mystery Lady ” and “ Passport .”

The former track was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with more than 500,000 equivalent units sold.

At the 64th Grammy Awards, Studying Abroad: Extended Stay was nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album . 

Since then, Masego appeared on Ambré’s new EP 3000° and featured on Robert Glasper’s one-off track “ All Masks .”

Masego officially announces "You Never Visit Me Tour" dates

Today (Dec. 7), Masego officially announced his extensive North American “You Never Visit Me Tour,” which is named after his forthcoming single. The Grammy-nominated artist will hit the road next year on March 13 at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA and hit cities like Manhattan, Miami, Boston, and Dallas before wrapping up in Los Angeles in April.

Masego took to Instagram to directly provide fans with the code word for presale tickets, which will be available this Friday (Dec. 9). “To everyone that says I never tour in America, this is not a drill. I am going on tour in the states. ‘GEMINI’ is the code you’re looking for. Full tour on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time. Sign up for updates in the bio,” he wrote.

The “Mystery Lady” singer unleashed his  Studying Abroad: Extended Stay project back in 2020, which was an 11-song body of work that boasted appearances from Shenseea, Don Toliver, and TeaMarr. Since then, he has treated fans with well-received loose singles like “Garden Party” featuring Big Boi and JID, “Say You Want Me,” and “Yamz” featuring Devin Morrison, the last of which is making headlines once again thanks to a recent viral cover by Fetty Wap.

Studying Abroad followed his debut LP, Lady Lady ,  which dropped in 2018 and included features from SiR, Tiffany Gouché, De’Wayne Jackson, and FKJ. The TrapHouseJazz originator can also be heard providing assists on recent tracks like “Oveja Negra” by Llane, “Silk” by Kojey Radical, “Must Be Nice” by Joyce Wrice, “Stickin’” with Sinead and VanJess, and more.

Masego has announced dates for a UK and European tour in early 2022, including some of his biggest dates in the region so far.

The LA-based multi-instrumentalist will kick off the new tour in Warsaw, Poland on February 12, before moving on to visit a further 19 cities across the continent and in the UK.

The tour will culminate at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on March 13, following dates in Dublin and Manchester. Tickets for the new raft of dates will go on pre-sale on Wednesday (October 20), followed by being made available for general sale at 10 am BST on Friday (22). They will be available to purchase here.

The news follows Masego’s latest single “ Garden Party ,” which features Atlanta royalty in Outkast’s Big Boi and the rising Spillage Village collective member and Dreamville-signed rapper J.I.D.

Since its release earlier this month, the track has racked up over 1.8 billion global streams. Before sharing the track with the world, Masego teased its sax riff in a TikTok video, which surpassed a whopping 100,000 views in less than 24 hours on the platform.

“Garden Party” is one of a slew of new material the star has shared since the deluxe edition of his acclaimed 2020 EP Studying Abroad arrived last November. Earlier this year, he released singles including “Enemies” and “My City.”

Vibe hailed Masego as a “self-taught saxophonist, pianist, singer, and producer here to give an old soul sound a fresh new take in today’s hip-hop climate.”

2024 Memorial Tournament prop bet picks and PGA Tour predictions

A stellar 3-week stretch of the PGA Tour schedule begins this week with the 2024 Memorial Tournament , the last event before the U.S. Open at Pinehurst. As a signature event, most of the game's best players will be in the field at Muirfield Village, all vying for a victory handshake from tournament host Jack Nicklaus on Sunday. The 1st round from Dublin, Ohio, begins on Thursday morning.

Below, we search for the best value prop bets from BetMGM Sportsbook among the 2024 Memorial Tournament odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions .

The top-ranked golfer in the world and in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, Scottie Scheffler , comes in as the betting favorite once again at +350. Xander Schauffele has the 2nd-best odds (+900) and is also ranked 2nd by Golfweek/Sagarin, followed by Rory McIlroy (+1000), who's 3rd in betting odds and the latest rankings.

Muirfield has been renovated multiple times over the years and now plays at 7,585 yards as a par 72. Viktor Hovland won the Memorial last year with a score of 7-under-par, 12 shots worse than Patrick Cantlay's winning score (19-under) in 2019. The rough is long and penalizing, which makes hitting approaches into the small, firm greens even more difficult when missing the fairway.

Memorial Tournament – Top-5 picks

Patrick Cantlay (+400)

Cantlay is a 2-time champion at this course and also has 2 other top-5 finishes since 2018. His game isn't in peak form right now, but his course history makes him a worthy bet for a top-5 finish again this week.

Ludvig Aberg (+350)

Assuming Aberg is fully healthy, he's more than capable of cracking the top 5 at Jack's place. It'll be his 1st time playing the Memorial Tournament, but that didn't impact him at all at the Masters when it was his 1st time seeing Augusta National.

Memorial Tournament – Top-10 picks

Collin morikawa (+105).

Morikawa is on a hot streak coming into the week, finishing 4th in each of his last 2 starts. His ball-striking is back and if he gets even an average performance on the greens, he'll be in contention.

Sahith Theegala (+275)

Theegala struggled at the RBC Canadian Open last week and surprisingly missed the cut, but he had just finished 12th at the PGA Championship not long before. Perhaps a longer course like Muirfield will fit him better; he finished 5th here in 2022.

Corey Conners (+300)

Conners is always in danger of his putter going ice cold, but with how well he hits his irons, he's going to give himself plenty of birdie opportunities. His best finish at Muirfield was a T-13 in 2022 and he's made the cut in 4 of 5 years.

Memorial Tournament – Top-20 picks

Will zalatoris (+160).

This is either a good buy-low spot for Zalatoris or a bit of a risk if he isn't actually healthy. He showed signs of being back to his usual form earlier this year and his iron game is still on point (14th in SG: approach), but he needs to be better on and around the green.

Keegan Bradley (+138)

Bradley is heating up, finishing 21st or better in each of his last 3 starts – including a T-2 at the Charles Schwab Challenge two weeks ago. He's 21st in SG: tee-to-green, evidence of how well he's hitting the ball coming into the week.

Russell Henley (+110)

Henley may not have the desired length for a course like Muirfield but he's going to keep it in the fairways and his short game is excellent. Other than SG: off the tee, he ranks in the top 37 in every other category, including 35th in approach.

Memorial Tournament – Matchups

Suggested play is golfer in bold .

Corey Conners (-120) vs. Tom Kim (-105)

Kim is starting to turn things around, finishing 4th in Canada last week, but he missed the cut here last year – his only appearance in the Memorial. Conners is 4-for-5 in cuts made at Jack's place and finished 13th 2 years ago.

Justin Thomas (-125) vs. Tommy Fleetwood (+100)

Fleetwood doesn't have a great track record here, with his last 2 starts (2017 and 2015) resulting in missed cuts. Thomas is playing well right now, with finishes of T-5, T-21 and T-8 in his last 3 starts.

Memorial Tournament – Top Asian

Byeong hun an (+333).

This is a closely contested market with all 5 players between +300 and +400 odds, led by Hideki Matsuyama at the shortest number. Matsuyama hasn't played much (or very well) since the Valero Texas Open in April, and An is in the midst of the best season of his career.

Memorial Tournament – First-round leader

Viktor hovland (+2200), hovland was the champion here last year and though it's mostly been a disappointing season for him, he finished 3rd at the pga championship last month. it's easy to see a scenario where he goes low on thursday and keeps up that momentum., shane lowry (+5000).

Lowry shot 69 in the opening round last year, which put him tied for 3rd and only 2 shots off the lead. He's in good form and can weather some difficult scoring conditions like the ones at Muirfield.

More expert prop bet predictions

Will there be a playoff yes: (+350).

Hovland won in a playoff last year, the 6th playoff at Muirfield in the last 10 years. For whatever reason, this course yields close finishes and we'll bet on another one this year.
