Its folded size is just 16cm x 9cm x 3cm and it weighs just 60g (less than your smartphone) so you won’t feel like you’re lugging the kitchen sink with you every time you leave the house.

This cardboard eco potty is made from fully biodegradable material and is surprisingly strong – it can hold a child weighing up to 30kg so will definitely cope with your toddler or preschooler, even if they’re big for their age. It is used with a biodegradable pad, which will absorb up to 250ml in just 30 seconds. And once your child has been, you can close it up to stop any of the contents and their odours escaping before you dispose of them.

2. Pottiagogo folding travel potty, £14.99

– best for one-handed opening.

Awards: Silver – Potty & Toilet Training Product, MadeForMums Awards 2022

One of the best features of the Pottiagogo is that you can open it quickly and easily with just one hand – ideal if it’s an emergency and there’s no time to spare. It is extremely simple to set up and is used just like a standard potty – you just need to add a bag with absorbent liner to catch the contents.

The travel potty is lightweight but sturdy and it folds down flat so it won’t take up too much space when you’re out or when storing it at home. Tester Petya, mum of 2, called it “the perfect size – not too big or small” and said that it was “very easy to carry around”. It isn’t as discreet as some of the options on our list, but it will fit neatly in the bottom of most pushchairs.

Overall our MFM testers liked the quality and sturdiness, with a safety lock to secure it in place, but found fitting the bags a little bit tricky at first. Tester Graham, dad of 2, also felt that it needed a raised front and back for easier positioning.

3. Potette Plus Convertible Travel Potty, £19.99

– best for doubling up as toilet seat.

The Potette Plus is a full size travel potty that also turns into a toilet training seat, so you can use it at home as well as on the go. The plastic potty folds down small and comes with its own convenient and hygienic drawstring bag to carry it round in. When using it as a travel potty, you will need to use disposable liners – it comes with 3, which are fragranced, absorbent and biodegradable.

We loved the fact you could use it as a seat as well as a travel potty, meaning you get 2 products for the price of 1. This also means you can use it on public toilets when your child is a bit older but not quite ready to use adult-sized loo seats. Remember to make sure the legs click securely into place before your child uses it as a potty, as one reviewer forgot and found it toppled over easily.

Parent tester Varvara tested this with their 2 year old and said, "It's very sturdy and looks great. The colours are vibrant and the potty is pleasant to use with a very convenient design. My child loves using it on a big toilet and took to it straight away".

4. My Carry Potty, £29.99

– best for cute designs.

My Carry Potty is probably the cutest looking portable potty on the market! It comes in lots of colourful character designs including a fox, bumblebee, ladybird, penguin and dinosaur so your child can choose their favourite.

But the My Carry Potty does more than just look good - it’s lightweight, leak-free and bag free so you don’t have to keep remembering to buy bags or liners. There’s also a handle making it easy to carry and it looks like a cool little suitcase. It isn’t as compact as some of the others on the list, for example you can’t sling it in your bag, but it is durable enough that you can use it as your main potty at home too.

This is handy if your child is particular about where they do a number one or two, as you can make sure they always have their familiar potty with them. The lid forms a completely watertight seal so you also don’t have to worry if you can’t empty it straight away.

5. Pejoye Foldable Toilet Seat, £9.95

– best for using public toilets.

We love this foldable toilet training seat with its bright colour and cute, quirky design. This product is perfect for older children who are making the transition from potty to toilet, but still feel a little uncertain about sitting on adult-sized seats.

The toilet training seats you typically have at home are a bit unwieldy and awkward to take with you on a day out, but this one folds up into 4 so it is a quarter of its normal size and it weighs just 200g. It comes with a little bag to carry it in, so you can put it into your bag or the boot of your car without worrying about germs.

The seat has been designed to be wipe clean so you can clean it ready to go for your next trip out. It fits most standard toilets and has non-slip silicone pads to keep it firmly in place, so it won’t move about when your child is sitting on it either.

6. Whizzer (Kiddiwhizz), £19.99

– best for discreet toilet trips.

Whizzer's portable and eco-friendly urinal is great for avoiding accidents when you’re out and about. This cute flask-sized product, made from silicone, looks like a reusable bottle so it isn’t obviously a potty and can be used very discreetly.

One of its major selling points is selling points is that it is leakproof so you can take it with you if there is nowhere convenient to empty it straight away. Designed to be unisex, its capacity is large enough to be used by older children up to the age of 8. Our testers did think it was quite pricey, but parent tester Charlotte commented that it's a “handy and attractive bit of kit that’s useful.”

It is small enough to put in your bag for when you need it, plus the flask shape means you don’t need to find somewhere for your child to sit down like with traditional potties and it can even be used in the car on long journeys. Parent tester Lauren, who tested this with their 6 year old, said: “Harley absolutely loves being able to use his whizzer, especially when out and about as he doesn’t have to wait to find toilets. He loves the colour and how it doesn’t look like a toilet. Super easy to set up, with just a couple of wiggles.”

7. Oxo Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty, £20

Like the Potette Plus, the Oxo Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty is both a travel potty and a toilet seat. It’s easy to set up – it just takes 2 clicks to get it into the right position – and the legs fold up so it can be carried around flat in its own bag. When it’s in its bag, it’s still the size of a small toilet seat and weighs 680g so bear that in mind when planning trips and days out. However, it does fit into most backpacks and would be easy to stow at the bottom of a pushchair.

The potty comes with 3 disposable bags but you’ll need to remember to buy more. Customers liked the size when it was set up, as it is small enough to be comfortable on little bums yet felt sturdy and secure. Its no-fuss design also means it’s simple to keep clean.

8. Pourty potty, £9.99

– best for value.

The Pourty isn’t marketed as a travel potty but we’ve included it on the list as its clever design makes it super simple to pour the contents away after use. This potty would work well as both the main potty at home and popped into the car or pushchair to use while out and about, saving you from the expense of buying 2 products.

The British design includes a handle at the front and a pouring duct at the back. It’s still comfortable for your toddler to sit on, with 2 back rests for support so they won’t topple off if they lean back. There is also a high splash guard at the front to stop anything spilling out. We also like the quality of the product – it feels sturdy and well-made and is a doddle to clean after use.

If your child needs a little persuading to use an adult-sized toilet, this Paw Patrol-themed seat might do the trick. Ideal for children who are starting to move from the potty to the toilet at home, it will help them feel confident sitting on a public toilet and means you don’t have to worry about them touching the loo itself.

Made from lightweight plastic, it folds up into quarters so it is small enough to pop into a changing bag or backpack. Other currencies can take up to five days. Alternatively, you can order any currency for next weekday delivery to most of the selected customer service desks.

Please make sure you collect your money within four days of your chosen date. If you don't, your order will be returned and your purchase will be refunded, minus a £10 administration charge.

You can cancel a Click & Collect order any time prior to collection. We'll refund you with the full Sterling amount that you paid for your order, unless you cancel less than 24 hours before your collection date, in which case we'll charge a £10 late cancellation fee.

Generally speaking, the freestanding potty chairs were more stable than the seat covers since they sit directly on the floor and are low to the ground. We did notice, though, that the chairs tended to be very low to the ground and were not always as comfortable.

We also noted whether or not potties that may hold liquid would leak. One such style of potty is the OneDone Urinal. This cute, boys-only cup includes a funnel that slows down any potential leakage. When we filled the urinal with liquid, closed it, and shook it up, a few drops leaked out, so we would recommend dumping it as soon as possible, but it does well at keeping liquid contained under normal conditions.

Cleanability

In this category, we tested each potty to see how easily it could clean when taking on inevitable messes. To keep things sanitary, we used a squirt bottle of apple juice and sprayed it on and in the seats. We tested if the chair potties were easy to empty or dispose of messes. Potties that have cracks or crevices that trap urine are more difficult to clean.

A couple of seats, like the OXO Tot, included absorbent pads in their disposable bags. We liked these better than potties with just plain bags because the absorbent pads prevented splashing and made clean-up much easier. All of the seats with any kind of bag, though, were very easy to keep clean.

Seats like the BabyBjorn Smart Potty and the Summer Infant Play had removable bowls that could be easily dumped into a toilet after use. We did find, though, that seats like these tended to have crevices where the bowl met the seat that could catch liquid and either drip or be harder to clean up.

Standard potty seat covers that simply rest on the top of an adult toilet seat were overall the easiest to keep clean since they are not collecting any waste themselves. There was also less splashing with these kinds of seats, since there was more distance between the seat and bowl than with a shorter potty chair.

Something else we took note of was whether or not a potty included a splash guard. Many critical reviews complained that they didn’t feel like their boy could easily use certain seats because of the lack of a splash guard. Many of the portable toilet seats did not include a splash guard since several of them folded into quarters and were open at the front. All of the non-folding seats did include splash guards.

In the usability section, we tested how user-friendly each of the potties was. We set them all up, had children sit on them, took them down for storage, and determined their universality.

Most of the potties were pretty easy to set up and did not have very many components. The only ones that required much assembly were those that included disposable urine bags, and that setup process is generally very simple.

How I was treated by Tesco for putting my son on the potty!

My son turned 2 in May and we are mid potty training. Been in to places like Boots and M&S and got fold away potty out in store for my son to have a wee. I've also used it in Tesco with no complaints from them. This morning I went in and my son was crying 'wee wee'. Got him out of the buggy and put him on the potty - I wasn't in the middle of an aisle and went t clothes section where we'd be more hidden away as that section was close by to us. My son did a wee but come to get him back in the buggy and he had the most hideous tantrum. Once I got himm back in the buggy, I stood up to find 2 members of managerial staff stood over me. They told me that there was a toilet in the store where I should have taken my son to. I explained that he's just started potty training and when he needs a wee it has to be then and there and I don't have time to get him to a toilet. They told me they undestood that but that there was a toilet I should really have used. So again I explained that I don't have time to get him to the toilet. The woman then said 'it's not nice for our customers to see, it's not nice for your son and now you've just caused a big scene in the store'. I said 'well now you've made me feel absolutely rubbish' and they both walked off. I walked out of the store but thought 'no I'm not having that' and I went back and gave it to them both barrels that I was disgusted with the way I'd been treated, I'd been talked to very rudely and spoken to like I was a child myself. The senior manager came down and was very apologetic and I asked her of Tescos policy was that if there's a mother with a tantrumming child, do you train your staff to go over and tell the mother she's created a big scene in the store. She was very apologetic about the way I'd been treated. I'm still fuming. I've used the portable potty in other shops without complaints and I've seen other mums do the same in shops too - that's the whole purpose of the portable potty being invented. I just wanted people to know how badly Tesco have acted in this instance towards a mother potty training her 2 year old. Can anyone else recommend best places to post to make sure Tesco know I'm letting people know about this? Thanks.

I see their point too and to be honest if I saw your dc pooing or weeing near the food I was going to buy it would put me off buying it. Why not rush to the loo when he says he needs to go and use the potty for out of the store.

I am just potty training DS and I would never consider just getting a potty out in the middle of tesco that is rude and unhygienic - there is a time and a place for everything and the middle of a supermarket isn't the place to wee. What did you do with the full potty afterwards?

I've potty trained 3 children now and wouldn't even consider putting one of them on a potty in the middle of a shop. Quite frankly, people don't want to see it and what happens if the potty is knocked over. I don't understand why you didn't ask a member of staff if there was a toilet you could use, I think that you'd find that in most cases the shop staff are very helpful (and often mothers themselves).

I will probably get flamed for my less than sympathetic response here but I have never seen anyone allow their child to use a potty in the middle of a store, ever! I'm sorry if you felt unfairly treated by the staff however but really don't think it is worth making a fuss over. Good luck with the rest of the potty training though

It wouldn't occur to me to use one of those in a shop. I wd probably head for the door and find somewhere in the car park despite the weather! Sorry that's obviously not what you want to hear and to be fair I wasn't brave enough to try potty training at just turned 2. We're doing it at nearly three so probably a bit more controllable.

Don't use it in shops - I can't believe you think this is a reasonable thing to do - it's not, it's really, really not. Go to toilets, go out less until he is potty trained, piss against a tree if you have to but for the love of fuck pissing and pooing in the clothes section of Tesco is beyond minging.

Lots of posts while i was typing, I think you know the general view now.

I can see their point too. If your dc really can't last long enough to make it to the toilets, maybe you are training him too early? Perhaps try to make sure every shop you go in, you mentally check out where all the toilets are so as soon as he mentions it you can dash straight there, or take him to toilet first before looking round the shops, if he is not able to hold it for very long?

Yuck. I've potty trained two and never, ever took a potty out in a shop.

Whaaaaaat!!!! That's a terrible experience, I'm so sorry. I too am in the middle of potty training with a portable potty and have done exactly what you've done in numerous shops. I would have been so embarrassed if staff/managers said that to me. I'm sorry I don't know where you should go to make this more visible but you have my full sympathy.

Tesco is a food shop. We had one of those foldaway potties but we only used it by the roadside on long trips, never in a shop.

One of the most useful elimination communication supplies is a small potty. However, it can be tricky to find a potty or toilet seat reducer that is the right size for your baby to use while practicing elimination communication. Considerations when choosing an elimination communication potty:

Born Ready has an informative post on choosing a potty for EC , written for the UK audience. She mentions to just buy a small cheap potty at the supermarket. That made me stop and think. Here in Thailand, where I am currently living, I can buy a tiny potty at Tesco Lotus. But in the USA? I can't remember seeing a potty in the grocery store back home. There's a row full of disposable diapers, that much I can remember. But for a potty, I think you'd need to head to Target, Ikea, or Babies-R-Us, if you aren't ordering online from Amazon. Plus, most potties in the USA are designed for three-year-olds, so the challenge is finding a small potty that fits a baby comfortably.

My son used the BabyBjorn Smart Potty from the time he was a newborn (just the insert in my lap) until he was 3-years-old. It's still one of my top recommendations!

Best Elimination Communication Potties for Home

BabyBjorn Smart Potty

If you plan to only purchase one potty to use for your child's entire potty learning journey, I recommend getting a BabyBjorn Smart Potty . It is a useful tool from the newborn stage through toddlerhood. The compact Smart Potty fits babies who are sitting up unassisted and young toddlers. It is a two-piece potty with a removable insert that allows for easy cleaning.

The removable insert can also be used alone as a top hat potty. This is especially helpful during the newborn phase and for nighttime EC. Hold the potty insert securely between your legs and then hold your baby over the insert. For pottying while breastfeeding, it works well to hold your baby in the cradle hold with one arm and use the other hand to hold the potty insert below your baby's bottom. Tilt the front of the insert (with the splash guard) up for boys!

My son used the BabyBjorn Smart Potty since he started EC at one-month-old. Even when he was three-years-old and potty independent, he still liked to use it for pooping. He would dump it in the toilet, rinse the potty with the toilet sprayer, and flush the toilet. He preferred to stand to pee into the big toilet and squat to poop in the small potty, which is more ergonomic.

When I asked other EC'ing parents which was their favorite potty, the second most popular response was the high-backed BabyBjorn Potty Chair . This model is not my favorite, since it is wider and also higher off the ground, making it harder for the baby to firmly plant their feet on the floor.

The Baby Potty - Mini Potty

The Baby Potty -Mini Potty is designed especially for babies practicing elimination communication and young toddlers who want to get onto the potty independently. It is a similar size to the discontinued BabyBjorn Little Potty, which was smaller than either of the two BabyBjorn potties currently available. It has a high splash guard to help keep pee in the potty. There is a handle on the back to make it easy for toddlers to empty it into the big toilet, however, both the handle and the bottom edge of the potty are sharp. It doesn't have any non-slip grippy material around the bottom edge like the BabyBjorn potties have. This is a very thin potty, so it's probably best for EC away from home.

Ikea Lilla Potty (little green potty)

The Ikea Lilla Potty, which many refer to as "the little green potty" is an economical option, especially if you are near an Ikea store. The Lilla Potty is a nice small size for babies. It is one solid piece, so when it's time to dump and rinse the potty, you will need to take the entire Lilla Potty along to clean it.

The Lilla Potty works for EC at home and is also a popular choice to keep in the car or trunk, for practicing elimination communication away from home. Unfortunately, the Lilla Potty is too big to fit in a medium size Planet Wise Wet Bag, so it would not work as well for carrying along with you on-the-go.

EC Potties: Potette Plus, BecoPotty, and BabyBjorn Smart Potty

And the new Mini Potty next to the discontinued BecoPotty. They are a similar width, but the Mini Potty is shorter. The bioplastic from which the BecoPotty is made is much thicker and heavier than the super thin and lightweight Mini Potty.

Best Elimination Communication Potties for Travel

It is helpful to have a compact folding potty for trips around town. A travel potty is especially useful for the toddler stage, when your child is too heavy to hold over a public toilet. I was so happy to have the Potette Plus for road trips when my son had recently switched to wearing underwear and would only give us short notice when he needed to potty.

For extended holiday travel or while traveling abroad, I recommend bringing your child's favorite potty from home. Even if it seems big, get a tote bag to carry it along. We took our son traveling in SE Asia for a year when he turned one-year-old. We left behind our beloved BabyBjorn Smart Potty and brought the Potette Plus. I really regretted that decision. The Potette Plus was too wide to use in my lap for nighttime EC and the reusable insert was too flimsy to use alone as a top hat potty. If you are traveling somewhere long-term (weeks, months, years...) bring along your baby's favorite potty. It's worth it!

For errands around town or a weekend get-away, a folding travel potty can be carried along in your diaper bag, backpack, or large purse . As you can see from the photo below, the BabyBjorn Smart Potty is much larger than the folded Potette Plus.

Kalencom 2-in-1 Potette Plus

I purchased the Potette Plus for my son when he was a baby, but soon realized that it was too large for him. He almost slipped right through the middle into the toilet. Good thing I was holding onto him! For my son, who has always been small, the Potette Plus worked best once he was a toddler.

My daughter, who is much chubbier, started using the Potette Plus at 3-months-old. She fit well on it with the reusable liner and was also able to use it as a seat reducer on public toilets.

The main feature I love about the Potette Plus is that it can be used with a reusable liner. If I'm not near a bathroom where I can rinse it out, I put a preemie prefold into the collapsible liner to soak up the pee. Then I put the wet prefold into my wet/dry bag along with the other wet diapers. It's a great zero-waste solution!

OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty for Travel

The OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty for travel is a great option for using as a toilet seat reducer in public bathrooms. It can also be used as a small potty with disposable liners. Unfortunately, there is no reusable liner available.

If you are reading this OXO Tot, please offer a reusable liner for your travel potty! Then it would be, by far, my favorite potty for packing in my diaper bag.

The OXO Tot travel potty has a more comfortable seat design with a smaller opening than the Potette Plus. The legs release with a button and are much easier to fold and unfold. (The legs tend to fall off the Potette Plus if you pull too hard.)

Comparison of Potette Plus and OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty

Disposable liners are available for both the Potette Plus and the OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty. Or you can improvise and use a plastic bag lined with a paper towel. Disposable liners are useful when you are on-the-go and don't have access to water to wash out the potty. You simply tie the bag shut and toss it in the trash. (If it contains poop, I suppose you technically should dump the poop in the toilet and then dispose of the bag in the trash. Did you know you are supposed to do that with disposable diapers too?)

A collapsible reusable liner is available for the Potette Plus, but not the OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty. The reusable liner is particularly useful if you use the Potette Plus at home, in the car, or in a hotel room. It also makes the rim of the seat more comfortable.

Kalencom Potette Plus

• Outer measurements when folded: 8.75" W x 8.5" L x 2.75" D
• Opening in the center: 5.75" W x 7" L
• Height when unfolded: 5" (to the top of the splash guard)

OXO Tot Go Potty for Travel

• Outer measurements when folded: 10" W x 11" L x 2.8" D
• Opening in the center: 5.25" W x 6.5" L
• Height when unfolded: 6" (to the top of the splash guard)

When folded flat, the outer dimensions of the OXO 2-in-1 Go Potty are larger, so it will take up more room in your bag. However, the opening in the middle is smaller, making it a better fit for a baby or young toddler!

Best Elimination Communication Potties for Newborns

If you want a separate potty to use specifically during the newborn phase, you can use a top hat potty or chamber pot. These are also useful for nighttime EC or traveling.

Top Hat Potty

A top hat potty is the classic newborn potty. It is shaped like an upside down top hat, with a wide rim. You can place a top hat potty between your legs and hold your baby over it. Top hat potties work well for nighttime EC, nursing while pottying, and travel. I enjoyed using The Baby Potty: a top hat potty with potty cozy and non-slip band while practicing EC from birth with my second baby. Chamber Pot

Old fashioned chamber pots are great for EC! This enamel chamber pot is a darling option. I purchased it from Nova Natural, but they no longer seem to carry it. You might be able to find something similar on eBay.

Best Toilet Seat Reducers for Elimination Communication

A discussion of the best elimination communication potties just wouldn't be complete without mentioning some toilet seat reducers. A toilet seat reducer sits on top of an adult sized toilet seat, to shrink it down to baby or toddler size.

My son started using a toilet seat reducer when he was about six-months-old. It was especially useful for catching his daily morning poop, since it went straight into the toilet.

With my daughter I tried to skip using a plastic toilet seat reducer and go straight to a built-in adult/child toilet seat. That didn't work out, since the hinges came loose on the toilet seat. Now I'm back to researching seat reducers.

Prince Lionheart weePOD Basix - Discontinued

With my first baby we mostly used the Prince Lionheart WeePod Basix (pictured with Baby above). This model is made from a soft squishy foam. The shape of the Basix raised my son's knees and helped put him in a position similar to squatting. One drawback with the WeePod Basix is that it has a tendency to rip in half, especially if your baby likes to pull up on the front of the reducer.

*I no longer recommend this reducer in light of the class-action lawsuit alleging injuries to toddler boys when their genitals stuck to the Prince Lionheart WeePod Basix.

OXO Tot Sit Right Potty Seat

We purchased the OXO Tot Sit Right Potty Seat when my daughter was 9-months-old. We've been using it almost exclusively now that she's almost 12-months-old. She really likes that it has handles she can hold onto while sitting on the big toilet. At first she would stick her hand through the handle and get it stuck, but she stopped doing that. My daughter practices trying to put it onto the toilet herself.

I like the rounded shape of the OXO Tot toilet seat reducer. We also tried the Ikea toilet seat reducer , but that one was so flat that it didn't elevate her knees at all. This one doesn't exactly create an ergonomic squatting position, but it is pretty good for a seat reducer. It's hard plastic but still comfortable. I like the non-slip grippy material along the bottom edge.

Here are some comparison photos of the  OXO  Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty for Travel and the  OXO  Tot Sit Right Potty Seat. The OXO Tot travel seat reducer doesn't have a ledge that extends down into the toilet, preventing pee from spraying out between the seat reducer and the toilet seat, but the OXO Tot Sit Right Potty Seat does.

Squatty Potty Kids Potty Pet

The Squatty Potty Kids Potty Pet is a dual height step stool and toilet seat reducer. It looks like an awesome combo for toddlers. The adjustable step stool would raise a toddler's knees, creating an optimal squatting position. I'm just not sure if this would work as well for a baby, since their feet probably wouldn't reach the step. If you try it, please let me know how you like it!

Top Seat TinyHiney Toilet Seat Adult/Child

I had high hopes for the Top Seat Tiny Hiney built-in adult/child toilet seat. I was hoping to avoid purchasing a plastic toilet seat reducer for use at home with my second baby. I liked the idea of a wooden toilet seat that was securely attached to the main toilet seat. That way I wouldn't have to worry about the reducer slipping off the toilet.

We used this option for a few months, but we ended up taking it off of our toilet. Unfortunately, like some of the reviews say, the hinges come loose, so the entire child and adult toilet seat slips around on the toilet. I was afraid someone might smash a finger under the slipping toilet seat. The magnet that holds the child seat up is also super strong, making it difficult to pull down while holding my baby in my other arm.

If you have tried a similar built-in adult/child toilet seat, please let me know in the comments if you like the brand you tried. Thanks!

Regarding the toilet seat, I heard good comment about the bumbo today! As bumbo seat are comfortable and soft and babies really seat deeply in them, I think it could be a good alternative! Otherwise I like our simple Ikea toilet seat reducer.

I’d love an update on toilet seat reducers now that the prince lionheart was discontinued. I have the Bumbo which works really well on my parents’ toilet seat but it doesn’t sit well on mine. I also have the Hello Baby which is the same material and also contoured which baby likes but the splash guard isn’t as good because it’s just flat. My First Years was recommended but baby hates the flat plastic surface. The Graco and the Dream baby look exactly like the Hello Baby. The only two others that are that same material and contoured (that I’ve found online) are the Baby Throne (I’m almost tempted to splurge on it) or the Tenby Living. I’m also curious about the Munchkin and the SmartPotty.

Hi Kim, Thanks for commenting! This time around we decided to install a Top Seat built-in adult/child toilet seat and forgo using a plastic toilet seat reducer at home. Hopefully someone else can chime in who has tried some of the other options.

We bought the bumbo toilet seat reducer. It was so soft and comfy for my 16 month old. He loved it until it bend in half and fell into the toilet! I think it must be our toilet seat that is the problem 🙂

Oh, dear! I was just thinking that I might buy the Bumbo toilet seat reducer. We are currently using an Ikea one and it’s too flat. I’d prefer a reducer that helps give more of a squat position.
