I was looking for a fun and different activity to do with our out of town family. Since none of us had ever been on an airboat, we thought this would be fun. A friend recommended Wild Bills and we were not disappointed! The reservation was easy to make online. Upon arrival, check in was easy and smooth. Restrooms are on site and they also have a cool gift shop for souvenirs. There is a fenced area that has a few alligators to see up close. Also big bubba is in his own fenced area because he is huge! Captain Steve did a great job keeping us engaged and showing us the different areas and wildlife. It was a fun trip and great experience to do with friends and family.

We enjoyed our time on the Wild Bill Airboat. The driver was helpful in trying to locate gators and such. It was nice to get so close to the mom gator in the weeds, with all her cute rascal offspring. The driver stops the boat to narrate as the engine is quite loud. Normal traveling speed is pleasant, but later when he opns it up, pay attention to his warning to hold onto your eyeglasses, hats, and ear protection, because he really flies there, it was fun.

Arrived early like they recommend- Went inside and was greeted by a very Happy Lady ! Check in was SMOOOOOTH and simple.. she explained to us, about the Ride and where to sit if you do an don't want to get wet. She also explained about the Fenced in area with all the Baby Gators, and the One further back with Bubba in it. Got a little feed for the Babies and it was cool to see them eat. Beautiful walk back once you decide to head to the Boat, The tour was very simple. Not sure why they call it " WILLD BILL's" to be honest of all the airboat tours I have done this was by far the Most Tame and uneventful. IT was for the most part super low speed with a dozen stops where you roasted in the sun. Never been on one with so many stops-- Way too many for me. I Would say this is a good tour for more of the older group that really just wants a simple boat ride

We were excited to go see the gators but unfortunately we didn't see any in the swamp due to the weather dropping to a cooler temperature, we were told they go under water to keep warm and may take 2-3 months for them to come above water again since colder weather is crucial for them, so it was a disappointment for us the boat ride was fun and all, on the other hand, we didn't get to hold one either which that could of been a great experience other places let you carry a young gator to takes some memory pictures. October might not be the best month to do this kind of adventure, we're from California so we go back home with nothing to brag about.

Don't sit toward the bottom unless you wanna get wet. I had a blast, and I really enjoyed my ride. The airboat driver takes you out and helps spot gators. It was cool we got to see a couple of babies. Nice gift shop. The only thing I didn't care for was the pen where baby gators are kept. The pen needs to have a bigger pool, it is overcrowded.

Great time cruising down the river. Great scenery, got to see the Gators prior to leaving and seen a couple while on the trip, a bit too hot for them. Dad is 88 and Mom 87 but had no trouble getting on and off the airboat.

We had a great ride, saw cool birds, alligators, and baby gators! The website was easy to use to make reservations. The lady who greeted us in the gift shop was lovely- so welcoming and easy for our shy kids to open up to. Our guide was very knowledgeable and knew right where to look for wildlife. It was a great experience for our first visit to Florida!

We really enjoyed this experience. We went with a private tour, which was really nice because it felt catered to what we wanted to see and it wasn't that much more expensive than getting tickets on the bigger boat. With the bigger boat, you have to get there early and get in line to get a good seat. Our tour guide was great and he did warn us that because it was cold, we probably wouldn't see any alligators. We did see one baby alligator which was a nice surprise. Our guide told us all about the area and wild life, should us different spots of interest, and overall it was a cool experience that our kids loved. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it would have been nice to know in advance on their website that you don't see alligators in cold weather as we may have chosen a warmer day to go. Otherwise, really nice staff, great guide and great experience.

GATORS GATORS AND MORE GATORS! this place is amazing! The woman working the front desk was so nice and welcoming. I called in and scheduled a 3 o'clock tour last minute not really sure what to expect and what a treat this was! Gift shop had tons of fun items for the kids, the tour was super fun and our tour guide which I can't remover his name was a total bad ass! Was able to spot gators for us off in the distance and took us up right to some of the little babies in the water. This was fun for the whole family. Thank you WILD BILLS TEAM!

First trip to Florida and this was one of my things to go too. Awesome place for Swap Tours. Great people at the front office with a smile as you walk in. Captain Jim is the man. Very likable and great personality! We got to see an 8’ alligator which was pretty cool. Great job guys!

This was an absolutely great airboat tour. AJ was our guide, who was informative and humorous too! I had a keen interest in birding and he pointed out about 10+ species of birds including 4 bald eagles. We saw about 5-10 alligators during our visit. Would visit again & highly recommend!

Wild Willys was a great Airboat ride through the marshes. Saw several gators and lots of wildlife. The guide was knowledgable about the area and very friendly. The people inside were also very friendly and knowledgable. Definitely recommend.

The one-hour airboat ride was perfect. We saw a variety of wildlife. The speed of the boat (what I really came for) was good, some fast times, some slow times. I chose the 9am time to avoid the sun and heat, and that was perfect too. I highly recommend Wild Willy's.

TAKE A WILD RIDE IN FLORIDA ON THE WITHLACOOCHEE RIVER!

Your opportunity awaits on the Withlacoochee River! Voted “Best Fun” by Fox 13, Wild Bill’s Airboat Tours is something you must experience.

Wild Bill’s Airboat Tours is located in Inverness Florida which is about an hour drive from Orlando. Their massive billboard sign cannot be missed! It is highly recommended that you make a reservation in advance so your wait time is greatly diminished. Another important thing to note when visiting is to arrive early! Thirty minutes to be exact. This business runs like clockwork and they don’t want to be waiting around for you to locate your phone that you dropped between your car seats. The staff are super friendly but timing is everything.

WHAT THE HECK IS AN AIRBOAT AND WHY CAN’T THEY JUST USE A REGULAR BOAT?

Airboats have two distinct features on them that set them apart from your average lake boat. These boats are designed for maneuvering through shallow, weedy waters that can be mucky so the bottoms of the boats are flat. If you put your run of the mill fishing boat into these waters with a submerged propeller, your boat would be ruined in no time. Airboats have a large cage propeller that sits on the back of the boat which keeps the boat moving like a well-oiled machine. In fact, Wild Bill’s Airboat Tours takes safety seriously and were the first in Florida to have Coast Guard Inspected U.S. airboats. Does anyone else begin to think of a classic movie when you think of airboats and swampy water? Water Boy anyone? Adam Sandler? Sun Kind of Living sure hope’s you’ve watched that oldie but goodie and experienced a laugh or ten.

DO PEOPLE REALLY SWIM IN THAT RIVER?

Sun Kind of Living is no stranger to wildlife and loves to pet an exotic animal or two but we are witnesses to people really choosing to take a dip in the Withlacoochee River. Now, they might have had an adult beverage or six BUT the fact of the matter is, there were people just wading in that water and we had questions.

The Withlacoochee River is teaming with wildlife. It flows all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. On the Withlacoochee you can see anything from big ole turtles sunning themselves on logs to beautiful birds sitting peacefully among the treetops but guess what also is prevalent in it’s waters…GATORS! Lots and lots of gators! Last time we checked, alligators and humans do not mesh well together in swampy wetlands but maybe with beer goggles on, they become friends instead of food. The people that were spotted by Sun Kind of Living on our tour didn’t become gator food so it seemed to have worked for them.

Wild Bill’s Airboat Tour is unique because you have the opportunity to see wildlife in their natural setting, not just in some aquarium tank or in an aviary at a zoo. These creatures are free to roam and live their life as they choose. With every airboat tour you take you get a new experience. Let us reiterate that if you love spotting gators, this is the place to go.
