Whisky distilleries in Aberdeenshire are bottling the essence of our land into iconic blends loved the world over.
Visit the most easterly distillery in Scotland at Glen Garioch which maintains its original features like its barley mill. In the heart of the Cairngorms National Park try Royal Lochnagar which was favoured by Queen Victoria so much it was bestowed a Royal Warrant. Then there’s Glenglassaugh Distillery located on the Banffshire coast where its fans say you can taste the sea and further inland find GlenDronach Distillery , outside Huntly where the finest sherried malts have been created for over 200 years.
You can even take a whisky inspired trip to discover “ The Secret Malts of Aberdeenshire ”, produced by a cluster of ancient distilleries dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. Whilst getting up close to the traditional skills of the distilling process, explore the rural settings of picturesque Aberdeenshire villages , wooded hills, rolling fields and tranquil beach bays where these distilleries are nestled amongst.
And if you can’t decide on who wants to be driver, no one has to miss out on tasting at each distillery you visit with our local tour guides and tours creating bespoke tours to ensure you see (and taste) the best of the region.
Whether you like your whisky neat, on the rocks or mixed up into a cocktail form our local bars and restaurants will keep you right with recommendations of how best to taste our local whisky blends. 71 Brewing Tour
Join us on a walking tour around Dundee's first brewery in 50 years and learn about the wonderful journey of brewing beer!
Upon arrival you will receive a pint or schooner of beer, depending upon choice, you will then be taken on a walk through the history of the building and the process of brewing, from raw ingredients to packaging the final product. At the end there will be some samples for everyone to enjoy!
Over 18's will only receive a alcohol. Soft drinks will be provided for under 18's. You may be asked for I.D.
Under 18's must be accompanied accompanied by an adult.
