Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is one of the most celebrated vocalists alive today. Her uniquely powerful voice, exceptional vocal talent, songwriting expertise, and relentless drive to improve her craft have cemented her firmly at the top of the music industry – and the charts.

Adele’s impressive songwriting credits, long list of music awards, and consistently sold-out tours are testaments to her widespread fame. Since her debut in 2007, no one can deny she is one of the best vocalists of our time.

Before Adele became a powerhouse musician, she honed her skills during her childhood in London, UK. Adele held a deep passion for singing and refining her vocals from the age of four, which eventually led her to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. She spent her school years diving deeper into music creation, learning songwriting and guitar. Soon enough, her pathway to success was well within reach.

Following graduation, Adele took the next step toward securing a solid record deal. She quickly landed a recording contract with the UK’s XL Recordings in 2006. Her 2007 single “Hometown Glory” provided a sneak peek of what Adele was capable of. New listeners couldn’t deny her strong, powerful singing range as she belted out her best on the breakthrough track.

Her rise began earnestly when “Chasing Pavements” hit the radio waves in 2008. It slid smoothly onto the UK charts and set the tone for her debut album 19. Adele’s signature sound made waves in mainstream media. She had the voice, songwriting skills, and full-fledged potential to become the next certified phenom.

Because of 19’s undeniable versatility, Adele earned two Grammy awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2009. The stakes were high for the songstress’s follow-up projects, but thanks to Adele’s staple work ethic and natural talent, she tackled her next era with grace.

In 2011, Adele stepped away from her usual ballads with “Rolling in the Deep,” delivering pop-friendly, blues-inspired beats. As the single soared in popularity on the radio and internationally, so did Adele’s star status. Her sophomore studio album 21 dropped in 2011, bringing with it multiple smash hits. With “Rolling in the Deep,” “Someone Like You,” and “Set Fire to the Rain” all topping charts, Adele became the first female artist to have three simultaneous singles in the Billboard top 10. At the next year’s Grammys, Adele took home all six awards she was nominated for, becoming the only woman to ever do so other than Beyoncé.

Adele entered 2015 with more Grammys and renewed vigor under her belt. After nearly eight years since her official debut, the artist was ready to take on her title as one of this generation’s greatest popstars. She effortlessly segued into her next project by releasing the smash hit “Hello.” The single’s nostalgia, regret, and wistfulness weaved their way into listeners’ hearts and laid the groundwork for her next album 25.

With the help of “Hello” and Adele’s impeccable vocal range, 25 was one of the best-selling albums in 2015. It was no easy feat, especially with other top-notch artists like One Direction, Justin Bieber, and Rihanna also releasing new music. However, Adele’s presence pushed forward and remained steady on the worldwide charts.

Her most recent LP 30, released in 2021, continued to take the world by storm. Adele broke new ground as she sang about motherhood, depression, and divorce. It was a candid look into the artist’s private life, unveiling her struggles during the past six years.

Like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Celine Dion, and Britney Spears, Adele joins the long list of artists who have made themselves comfortable at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas as performers-in-residence.

As Adele’s discography grows, so does her popularity. Her breathtaking voice, devotion to her creative development, and work on upcoming albums keep her at the top of her game.

Adele continues to tour and perform live. Like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Celine Dion, and Britney Spears, Adele joins the long list of artists who have made themselves comfortable at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas as performers-in-residence.

Live reviews

(Adèle in Ziggodome 6-6-2016)

"Make You Feel My Love" blijft bijzonder als cover, hulde ook aan Bob Dylan.

The journey from the center of the arena to the main stage was lit by camera phones and shrieks of joy. Once there, “Hello” transitioned into “Hometown Glory”. London landmarks gave way to the Denver skyline, as the lyrics changed from ‘my hometown’ to ‘your hometown.’ What could have come across as gimmicky at some mainstream country show, somehow rang true as an honest tribute to the city in which Adele was an honored guest. The cynic in me didn’t want to show any emotion, but there was something so enchanting about the way she sang “the wonders of my world”, while images of the Rocky Mountains towered above her, that I just couldn’t help myself. It had been less than ten minutes since she had first appeared and I was already powerless against her charm.

“How many of you did not want to come tonight?”

(only someone with extreme self-confidence would ask that question, so when a few men confirmed, she had the perfect response.)

“Thank you for being a good sport and making my show sold out.”

Speaking as one of those people who don’t listen to Adele’s music on a regular basis, my biggest complaint is the lack of variation across her songs. There is no denying that voice of hers, but I feel like her albums are very vanilla. I do believe her lack of range is by design though. Keeping it safe is what has allowed her to appeal to so many, while offending so few. Last night didn’t exactly change my mind when it came to her songs, but her tremendous personality and sense of humor provided a depth that I wasn’t aware of before. She could have performed the entire concert solo and I would have been entertained. The fact that the screen eventually dropped after “One and Only”, exposing twenty musicians, including a whole crew of extraordinary backup singers, just added to the spectacle.

“My music isn’t that much fun…I hope you knew that.

I do have a couple upbeat ones…

let’s get them out of the way, so we can cry.”

Self-confidence gave way to self-awareness as the crowd came alive for “Rumour Has It” — one of the few songs you could actually dance to. There was a very classic feel to the presentation. The stage was framed in solid light, while Adele’s image projected in black-and-white like some movie star from the 50’s. The stellar band was separated into strings, percussion, and voice; all indispensable to each composition, but also completely anonymous and respectful of who they were there to serve. For a diva, Adele was surprisingly approachable as well. When she asked questions, she made it a point to listen to the answers coming from the front rows. There was a dialogue between her and her fans. When she saw a guy in a purple shirt, passionately singing along, she invited him and his friends on stage to take a selfie.

Hi, my history at the concert is really sad...For months I have tried to reunior the value to tell them..i tell you:

I am Venezuelan, In my country it is very difficult to get money to go to concerts, But adele in mexico was my best opportunity Since I have an uncle living there, So look for money in bank credits and work very hard to get a ticket for the concert and plane to get to mexico on November 15...After a lot of fight and help from incredible people who held out my hand ... I did it Had ticket for the show of November 15, and flew to mexico on November 12 with stopover in panama.

Everything went very well until two days before my trip my boyfriend in a fit of jealousy burned my passport, Yes as I tell them I burn it in a microwave, and there was no way to be able to travel so my dreams were shattered and my bank accounts at zero since the plane tickets were not Refundable and in my country the crisis worsened and it is impossible for me to leave my country now ..

Do not know how much I struggle to go to the show, for me not only is the music of adele she for me is inspiration and admiration for showing that dreams come true so it was very sad for me to lose everything to two days of achieving it.

I regret not having a great story to tell about the show ... sorry for my english I confess to ask the translator for help

I do not know if someone read this, I just know that I finally gathered the courage to be able to tell it .. if I had the opportunity I would try again, no matter if my dream is to go to an adele show, maybe other people have different dreams like knowing Snow, travel to Paris, no matter how big or small the dream or how many people oppose or discourage us, the important thing is not to give up ..

for now I will not be able to reach this dream but I hope I can do it and get up Again until I said I did !!

It is hard to know what to say that hasn't already been said, the list of superlatives has been done and each one is accurate. Adele may be nervous performing live, and there are times where that shows through, but somehow the fact that, arguably, the worlds finest singer shows a vulnerability adds to the performance especially when combined with her self deprecating honesty.

The attention to detail is clear, the fact that she thanks the guy who delivers 'hot honey' by name, thanks the guys who surround the stage during Skyfall and says 'see you all Saturday' shows that she is no Prima Donna artiste, Somehow through a meteoric rise, through all the fame and fortune she still retains that ordinary north London girl wanting to entertain her audience and entertain she does, in spades!

The T Shirts personally signed fired into the crowd, the note left on the back of someone's seat all these acts of kindness make someone's night unforgettable.

However, all of the humour, beautiful touches and adept performance are totally dominated by that voice, that wonderful, utterly unmistakable, beautiful voice which towered over Wembley Stadium and owned the evening. The songs are expertly crafted works of art in their own right and I love them all but if she sang the phone book I would pay to listen.

The highlights for me are predictable, Hello, Skyfall, Feel my Love, Set Fire to the Rain and Someone Like You, all of which were belted out by 100,000 people, these are the spine tingling moments you experience rarely in life. The one song I would still love to hear live is River Lea, lyrically brilliant and one of my all time favourite songs.

If you have never seen Adele perform live you really do need to and this may be your last chance, although I cannot tell you how much I hope it is not!

Having seen Adele previously at the Hammersmith Apollo a few years ago we really wanted to get tickets again, my wife tried for many hours to get tickets for her last tour and when this 4 night tour went on sale she tried again we were successful getting tickets for the Wednesday night, the only problem was she had no choice but to buy the drinking package at £249 each but because we wanted to see her we had no choice but to buy them. We had had an email form Songkick advising us to arrive early for security check which was understandable in the light of recent events, the line to enter was building up when we arrived at 4.30 pm, everyone was waiting for the 5pm opening, 5pm passed and everyone were patient but they did not start letting people in until around 5.20 pm. Eventually we were let in to the Bobby Moore suite to start the evening with a drink, the food choice for the suite was very limited, sushi, salad or hot dog (which were not hot at all), we enjoyed a few glasses of wine before we entered the stadium. Once we got to our seats for the start of the show is when we realised that if we wanted to see anything we should have taken binoculars even though we were only on the second tier to be honest Adele was a dot on the stage. Adele performance was amazing and once again she meet our every expectations she has an brilliant voice and is so down to earth. Paying that kind of money to see her show was worth it just to experience her voice and music, but paying that kind of money for the entry to the Bobbie Moore suite (which was just a function room) was really over priced. We had a fantastic time listening to Adele but the before part was a total waste of money.

Few artists have enjoyed the success over the course of a career spanning several decades that Adele has achieved over the past few years. Escaping the curse of that dreaded second album, ‘21’ propelled Adele into superstardom faster than anyone could have predicted and has broken probably every record that was there to be broken.

Seeing Adele live at the Royal Albert Hall back in 2011 was a really special moment. Clearly overwhelmed by the whirlwind success of the album, she took to the stage with a vulnerability that made her instantly likeable and relatable, whilst still delivering a class A performance.

Chatting to the audience like they were all friends and wanting them to feel like they were watching the gig ‘in their living rooms’, the most special moment of the evening came when the every single member of the 5000 strong audience belted the lyrics to hit single ‘Someone Like You’, leaving a speechless Adele visibly emotional and barely a dry eye in the house.

No big production or special effects were needed, as the beauty of the live arrangements and of those lyrics that made ‘21’ the masterpiece that it is, were enough.

Having publicly admitted that she suffers with severe stage fright, it is probable that we will not witness Adele touring arenas or stadiums. I believe this to be a good thing, as the beauty of her live show could not be appreciated in such big surroundings. Just make sure your one of the few who gets a ticket.

I was waiting ages and hoping Adele would announce a new tour since the 21 tour that i missed for being minutes slow for the tickets.

As the 25 tour was announced my only goal was to get those tickets at any cost! Everything seemed go bad from the start as the page for the ticket pre-sale did not work for me. I had no choice but to divert to viagogo and pay my ass off for two tickets - all my savings were lost... BUT - it definitely WAS WORTH EVERY DIME!

After few hours driving, overnight trip by ship and frustrating times getting to the concert area - We finally really were there.

I did not know what to expect from the show. But what ever it would be, i knew i would love just to see and hear her sing live.

As the show kicked off the feeling was just phenomenal - the emotion was to be hand felt. The show was not rockets, pyros and any fancy stuff... just Adele and smooth graphics and wisely chosen video backgrounds. But what else would it even need - nothing! Because... Adele!

The show kept the audience in it's embrace the whole set. It even made the bond to the audience deeper as she really got involved in person with some of us. She asked a couple fans up on stage and even sang a duet with one!

Anyways - will recommend to go see and hear her live to everyone! Adele is my number one female artist and i would not have missed her live tour again - and am really happy i did not.

Go, see, hear and love Adele!

First, I must say, that show was AMAZING!!!The black & white screen matches her music style perfectly, including the videos playing on.

Let's talk about Adele and her performance. She's a talented singer over the world, of course. Not only she can write and sing such good songs as Hello, When we were young, Send my love, etc., but also she's able to control the live show very well. Her voice, stage style, funny small talk between songs, even the eye contact with each audiences, proves that she can hold this grand show all by herself! That is a two-hour performance without any silence break, except for 3 minutes underground walk from central stage to main stage. It's unbelievable since almost all songs she sang were highly difficult!

She is a kind and responsible singer, also. No matter where you are, you can receive her beautiful smile and shining eyesight during the concert. She can even play jokes nearby the crowd! That must be everybody's good memory! Her humors and straightly personal characters make her so closed with fans. After each song, you may just treat her as a good friend when she talking!

As a VIP, I do think it's valuable to have such good musical listening and watching experience, except for the seat, which is not good enough for a VIP. However, that should be the problem of the hall's condition.

I must say, you should go for at least one Adele's concert in your life!

Our family of 4 daughters, my husband and myself saw Adele on 10/03/17, her first Sydney show. We have loved Adele since we listened to her first album in 2010. As soon as we heard she was coming we knew we had to be there. Even though we were seated very far away from the stage Adele made everyone of the 950000 crowd feel like we were all much closer.

Every moment was fantastic, Adele's phenomenal voice, the amazing video footage of Adele's eyes opening as the show started to the final song of Someone Like You, where the sound of the huge crowd singing in unison with Adele was unlike anything I have ever heard. The circular stage setup was amazing, giving everyone access to seeing Adele. Adele walked the circle giving every part of the stadium a chance to see her. The video footage that played with the songs was beautiful and ensured you kept your eyes on the stage.

The set list was a wonderful collection of Adele's 3 albums. Her interaction with the audience was funny, sincere and she really made us feel like we were right there with her.

I think when you see your daughters crying with the emotion of getting to see Adele live and then more crying because it was even better than you could of dreamed, speaks volumes. I would see her again in a heartbeat if I could and would say to anyone if you can go then do it!

I attended her concert in the biggest venue here in Oslo, Norway – Telenor Arena. It is perhaps mostly known for its lack of acoustic quality. The room is simply put way too big and sterile for that. Nevertheless; The Adele Tour team actually pulled it off this time though, and were able to fill the «dead» space in a more that satisfying manner.

Now, enough said about the venue. To the music: Being the big fan that I am it would be hard to hide my subjective judgement of the performance and music presented by Adele. But with that said I think it is fair to say that she, as a performer, is one of the best there is in the world today. She gives a lot of herself to the audience and often includes random attendees in the most spontaneous ways.

Music wise there is almost nothing to say other than that it is absolutely outstanding. Adele brings such a huge presence with her voice, unlike anyone else in the industry. Even the less “complicated” songs become big and overwhelmingly magnificent.

All in all, you get the feeling that Adele knows how it is to be “on the other side” (had to write that) and therefore she isn’t afraid of posing for a selfie or giving out large amounts of waves to the crowd.

There is no doubt that Adele forever will be remembered as one of the greatest artist of our century.

Adele

Adele , master of the slow reveal, has unveiled what appear to be the first two dates of the tour in support of her forthcoming album “30” — and they’re a blockbuster: two nights in London’s Hyde Park next summer, the sprawling green in the middle of her hometown that has hosted concerts by everyone from the Rolling Stones and Queen to Elton John and Blur.

Adele announced the dates, which are scheduled for July 1 and 2, 2022, on social media early Tuesday.

Oiii Oiiiiiiiiiiiii♥️ Pre sale at https://t.co/hbsotis7lr pic.twitter.com/HBSmDereSv — Adele (@Adele) October 26, 2021

She announced earlier this month in a lengthy Instagram post that her long-awaited ‘30’ album will be released on Nov. 19. The first single, “Easy on Me,” dropped earlier this month.

In the post, she writes: “I was certainly nowhere near where I’d hoped to be when I first started it nearly
3 years ago. Quite the opposite actually. I rely on routine and consistency to feel
safe, I always have. And yet there I was knowingly – willingly even, throwing
myself into a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil!
I’ve learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way. I’ve shed
many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful
and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I’ve finally found my
feeling again. I’d go as far as to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life.

The album finds the singer working again with Greg Kurstin — who paired famously well with her on “25” — and Max Martin, Inflo (known for his work with Sault) and Swedish composer and producer Ludwig Göransson, who won an Academy Award for his “Black Panther” score and has worked closely with Childish Gambino. There are no featured guests on the record.

Adele revealed the first tour dates for '30.'

Adele Revealed The First 30 Tour Dates

Here’s what to know about Adele's upcoming 30 tour.

Ahead of the release of her highly anticipated fourth studio album, 30 , Adele has revealed the first tour dates where she’ll be performing her new body of work.

Though she now lives in Los Angeles, the singer will be returning to her hometown for the dates: two nights in London’s Hyde Park next summer, where all-time greats like the Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac have played.

The dates are scheduled for July 1 and 2, 2022, according to Adele’s posts on social media announcing them. The rollout for 30 has been a slow reveal, with Adele first sharing that 30 was on the way in a lengthy Instagram post, followed by two profiles for Vogue and British Vogue . In her Instagram post, the singer noted how much she’s changed since she first wrote and recorded 30 three years ago.

“I was certainly nowhere near where I’d hoped to be when I first started it nearly
3 years ago,” Adele wrote on Instagram. “Quite the opposite actually. I rely on routine and consistency to feel
safe, I always have. And yet there I was knowingly — willingly even, throwing
myself into a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil!
I’ve learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way. I’ve shed
many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful
and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I’ve finally found my
feeling again. I’d go as far as to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life.”

For those who won’t be at the London shows, Adele will also perform a “One Night Only” concert special for CBS , which will be accompanied by an interview with Oprah and air Sunday, Nov. 14.

Until then, you can listen to the first single off 30, “ Easy On Me,” and learn about the meaning behind the song here .

Portrait of Justin Curto

Hello. It’s Adele. She’s been wondering if, after all these years, you’d like to hear some new music. [ Silence. ] No … we swear this isn’t another spam call. After days of teasing and years of rumors , the singer-songwriter announced that her first song in just shy of six years, “Easy on Me,” will come out October 15. What do we know about it? Well, it’s got some crisp piano chords and a black-and-white music video, per the 21-second clip she posted to Twitter, which is to say — it’s an Adele song. Otherwise, at this point, Adele Atkins has left us with more questions than answers about her return, on the yet-unconfirmed album 30 (if that’s even its real name). Here are 30 of the biggest things we’re wondering.

1. So … we’re back to numbers? Promoting 25 , Adele told Zane Lowe, “I think this will be my last age one” — referring, of course, to her signature titling, following her albums 19 and 21 . (The years refer to her age when starting the album, not when it comes out; she’s 33 now.) Yet if her upcoming album is titled 30 , as she’s hinted via a billboard campaign , it seems that those titles may have been harder to ditch. Though she may have alluded to why in the same interview. “I feel like the idea of calling albums after my age is showing a photograph almost of what’s going on in my life then and there,” she said. “I feel like not that much is going to change profoundly in me from now on in terms of how important eras of my life are to myself.”

2. But did she ever think about calling it Lady Gaga ? Adele also told Lowe her fourth album could be self-titled. But back in 2019, Lady Gaga seemed to beat her to the punch , (jokingly) tweeting, “I’m calling my next album ADELE.” Think Adele ever considered returning the favor?

3. What does Adele have up her sleeve to announce 30 ? Sure, we’ve seen the billboards, but 30 still hasn’t officially been announced. When it comes to single and album announcements, Adele has tended to veer traditional — but she is , after all, a pop star. So should we expect a big social-media campaign? A massive debut event ? Leveraging her new beau’ s connections for an ESPN spot ?

4. What did Adele have to do with the Facebook and Instagram shutdown? Was that the beginning of the 30 rollout? Exhibit A:

5. What does “Easy on Me” mean? Adele’s 21-second “Easy on Me” teaser clip includes zero seconds of vocals, leaving us to go wild wondering what the song is even about. Is it a breakup song asking a former lover to go easy on her, given the visual of her driving off with a packed trailer? Or is it about something bigger, like maybe the world going easy on her? Or maybe it’s just a message to stans to chill.

6. Will 30 be a divorce album? The biggest change in Adele’s life since releasing 25 has been her 2019 divorce from Simon Konecki , after the couple had been together since 2011. Granted, she was 31 when they separated and filed for divorce. But could the queen of heartbreak have something more devastating than “Someone Like You” up her sleeve?

7. Is 30 the drum-and-bass record she promised? This isn’t the first time we’re hearing of 30 — in fact, Adele referenced it in an Instagram post when she turned 31. “Bunch of fucking savages, 30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you,” she wrote , in a post about how “30 tried me so hard.” (Possibly an early “Easy on Me” clue.) An Adele club record? We would like to hear it ( and see her put her moves to use )!

8. Who directed the “Easy on Me” video? Adele doesn’t mess around when it comes to her visuals — “Rolling in the Deep” won the Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video, while “Hello” saw her working with Canadian luminary Xavier Dolan. The “Easy on Me” clip seems to carry over Dolan’s black-and-white “Hello” aesthetic, but Adele has also expressed a desire to work with Carol ’s Todd Haynes , who does have some experience working on music projects . Anyway, in addition to the video, can her makeup artist please drop this winged eyeliner tutorial?

9. What happened to expecting her album in September … 2020? Way back in February 2020, Adele told someone at a friend’s wedding to “expect my album in September.” On one hand, she could’ve just been messing with them, as she’s prone to do . On another, she could’ve gotten delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit a month later. But on a third hand, has she just been sitting on this the whole time?

10. So did she trick Lorne Michaels into booking her on Saturday Night Live in 2020? Adele turned heads when she was booked as host, and not musical guest, on an October episode of SNL last year, weeks after that alleged release date came and went. Some fans, though, still held out that she might have a crumb of album news to promote on the show. Nope! “My album’s still not finished,” she admitted, live on television on October 25, 2020 . Guess Lorne really is just a big fan .

11. But why did Taylor Swift move her Red (Taylor’s Version) release date? As rumors of Adele’s return continued to bubble last week, Taylor Swift announced that, supply chain be damned, her rerecorded Red (Taylor’s Version) would arrive a week ahead of schedule, on November 12. To some, it looked a little too obvious: Was Taylor making way for an Adele drop on November 19? They may not be on the same label (Swift is on Republic Records, under Universal Music Group; Adele is on XL Recordings and Columbia Records, under Sony Music Entertainment), but they are noted friends, and we know Swift looks out for her friends.

12. So what happened with that Taylor collab? In July, a fan account suggested that Adele had actually been writing with Taylor Swift , reporting that the two registered a song called “Broken Hearts” with the Society of European Stage Authors and Composers. An E! News source promptly denied the rumor — but wouldn’t that be a convenient narrative for a musician trying to keep their upcoming album a secret? Plus, it’d be all the more reason for Swift to move her Red release date to not compete with an album featuring another one of her own songs.

13. And what about Beyoncé? Around 25 , Adele shot down rumours that she snubbed Beyoncé , one of her favorite musicians of all time , for a collaboration. Years later, Ryan Tedder alluded to a Beyoncé–Adele linkup , only to later cruelly clarify he was joking. Which all begs the question: Where did these rumors even come from? Was a Bey duet ever in the works? And if so, could it be hidden on 30 , perhaps?

14. Will Adele get to be funny on 30 ? Time and time again, Adele has made us laugh — just not on record, where her songs veer toward the serious(ly sad). There’s no evidence that’ll be changing on 30 , but we can dream.

15. Will Adele rap on 30 ? Because we know she has the bars.

16. Was a Skepta feature ever in the works? And while we’re at it, did they actually date ? Did they break up? The people (this writer) need to know!

17. Did any Skepta breakup songs make the album? That is, of course, if they actually dated and broke up in the first place!

18. Has Rich Paul heard 30 ? And when can we expect his and LeBron’s review? (And the ESPN 30 for 30 , literally! )

19. Will Adele keep expanding her circle of collaborators? 25 found Adele working with a wider array of producers than ever, bringing pop giants like Max Martin and Greg Kurstin and more independent-minded producers like Danger Mouse and Ariel Rechtshaid into the fold, alongside her standbys like Paul Epworth and Ryan Tedder. How will the credits look this time: Will she finally write with a woman? Has Jack Antonoff gotten close to Adele?

20. Can we expect her son to pop up on a song? Does Adele want to follow in Beyoncé’s footsteps and work with her own child? Adele’s son, Angelo, turns 9 days after “Easy on Me” comes out, meaning during the making of 30 , he would’ve been around Blue Ivy’s age when she dropped a feature on “Brown Skin Girl.” Adele has said before she wants to keep her son out of the spotlight, but come on: How cute would this be?

21. Will 30 be Adele’s California album? Another big change since 25 : Adele now owns a home ( well, three ) in California, and apparently spends a good chunk of time there, given it’s where she filed for divorce. California — especially the ’60s and ’70s Laurel Canyon music scene, including performers like Joni Mitchell and Carole King — has been a prominent muse in pop over the past few years, from Lana del Rey’s Norman Fucking Rockwell to Clairo’s Sling . Maybe Adele has been feeling similarly inspired.

22. Will she cover anything? Adele has made covers a mainstay of her repertoire, tackling Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love” on 19 and the Cure’s “Lovesong” on 21 , along with songs like Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and Sam Cooke’s “That’s It, I Quit, I’m Movin’ On” live. 25 , though, was her first album of fully original material, leaving 30 to either return to tradition or make that the new trend.

23. And who will take the challenge of covering new Adele music? Because you just know someone will be up for it. 25 inspired renditions by everyone from Céline Dion to Wiz Khalifa . Think Lil Nas X is down for this challenge, too ?

24. Will we be able to stream 30 ? When she released 25 , Adele made the gutsy decision not to put the album on streaming services right away . And it paid off, with the musician breaking the single-week American sales record for the Nielsen era in just three days. The world has only become more reliant on music streaming in the years since 25 — and Adele did eventually put the album on streaming months later — but if there were a pop star who could still successfully hold out from streaming in 2021, it might be her.

25. Will she break her sales record? Speaking of which: What of that sales record? Adele sold 3.378 million copies of 25 in its first week, besting previous record-holders ‘N Sync (for 2000’s No Strings Attached ) by nearly a million copies. The thought of breaking a record for pure album sales — that is, no streaming — in 2021 seems baffling, but then again, she did it once in 2015! And between the six-year wait for 30 and Adele’s popularity among Gen-X and boomer audiences, expect a good chunk of sales regardless.

26. What’s this about a TV special? Sources told Vulture that, along with prepping to release new music, Adele has been shopping around a TV special . She did something similar around 25 , airing concerts on NBC and the BBC; this time, the reported event could hit streaming or a network like CBS before the end of the year.

27. And we can expect Adele back on SNL , right? Adele’s career broke in the U.S. thanks largely to her 2008 Saturday Night Live performance. Since then, she’s returned twice, as musical guest in 2015 and host in 2020 . Given how down she is for sketches , and that producer Lorne Michaels is a fan , we can be pretty sure to see her back as a performer this year. And while she said last year she wouldn’t think about doing double duty as host and musical guest, could she have a change of heart this go-round?

28. Will she tour 30 ? Adele faked fans out around 25 , holding off on announcing a world tour only to later drop the news — and send over 10 million people scrambling for tickets . As that tour came to a close in 2017, though, Adele told fans in New Zealand that she’d thought about giving touring up. “I don’t know if I will ever tour again,” she said. Years (not to mention a pandemic shutdown) later, has she had a change of heart ? Perhaps not, given a new report in Billboard that she’s plotting a 2022 Las Vegas residency, to be able to live somewhere consistent, spend time with her son, and be close to her L.A. home.

29. Will 30 be her Grammys three-peat? No pressure, but if Adele’s 21 and 25 Grammy track record continues with 30 , she could break a slew of records. Both of those albums won Album of the Year, and a third win would make Adele among the most-decorated performers in that category, alongside Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, and most recently, Taylor Swift. Adele could also be the second to win for three successive albums, after Stevie Wonder. But both times Adele won Album of the Year, she also took home Record and Song of the Year for singles off those albums, effectively sweeping the general categories (aside from Best New Artist, which she already won off 19 ). A third Record of the Year win would tie her with Paul Simon for the most among performers, while a third Song of the Year win (assuming she has a credit on the song) would give her the record for the most.

30. How much will we cry? Oh, wait, we know this one! A lot.

Adele

Adele is just months away from completing her Weekends With Adele residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The run of shows that kicked off in Nov. 2022 and were extended through a June 15 gig this summer is about to end, though the singer gave hope over the weekend that they might not have to travel to see her the next time she releases an album.

Rather than embark on another massive world tour to promote 30 , Adele — who has been open about her struggles with stage fright in the past — opted to stay put in Las Vegas instead after wrapping up the outing for her 25 release in 2017. “Touring isn’t something I’m good at… Applause makes me feel a bit vulnerable. I don’t know if I will ever tour again. The only reason I’ve toured is you. I’m not sure if touring is my bag ,” Adele said at the end of the 25 tour at a New Zealand show.

She concluded by saying the twice-a-weekend performances have gotten her revved up again about live performance. “I’ve felt so much and learned so much about myself and you. It’s humanized everything I thought was scary,” she wrote. “Mostly though – it’s just made me realize how much I really enjoy being on stage, that I’m bloody good at it and that it is 100% where I belong!”

Adele says she’ll do a world tour for her next album

Despite this, Adele also said she didn't think she'd write another album "for some time"

The artist recently resumed her ‘Weekends With Adele’ Las Vegas residency, which will be running at Caesar’s Palace until June after being extended .

In the middle of the show, Adele revealed that fans will probably have a while to wait before she releases the follow-up to 2021’s ’30’ , but she will tour it more than she has done with albums in the past.

““I just don’t think I’m gonna write an album for quite some time,” she told her audience last night (January 27). “But next time I do, I’ll come to wherever it is you live.”

A few months ago, Adele mentioned that the Vegas residency has helped her “fall back in love with performing live again”.

“I needed to reconnect with my songs and remember what they mean to me, and I have!” Adele wrote on X when it was announced her residency was being extended.

“Being on stage over the last year so up close and personal with an audience again after all these years has been a truly extraordinary restorative experience that I’ll never forget. All the hilarious, soulful, wild and heartbreaking interactions we’ve had are banked in my mind for life. The looks on your faces, seeing you laugh and cry together singing your hearts out and hoarding bags of confetti. All the simi dolls, friendship bracelets, flowers, facetime calls and flags. It’s crazy how joyful a show full of sad songs can be!!”

Adele also recently explained why she has had such large gaps between her albums .

“Sometimes I wonder if people think I’m calculated when I disappear for years on end and I’m elusive and I believe that less is more or something like that,” she said. But the real reason that I’ve only had four albums and I don’t think that many people know this – they know that I have a child – my son is 11 years old. So if you do the math, that means that at the height of ‘21’… I fell pregnant. To many that would be, and it was, considered career suicide.

“It was there and then that I chose to reject the scarcity of success, and the idea that you have to be constantly relevant to be successful,” she continued. “And that perhaps, just maybe, I could be a hit both on and off the stage. And you’ll never guess what — I fucking got away with it!”

Adele Unveils First ‘30′ Tour Dates

Adele , master of the slow reveal, has unveiled what appear to be the first two dates of the tour in support of her forthcoming album “30” — and they’re a blockbuster: two nights in London’s Hyde Park next summer, the sprawling green in the middle of her hometown that has hosted concerts by everyone from the Rolling Stones and Queen to Elton John and Blur.

Adele announced the dates, which are scheduled for July 1 and 2, 2022, on social media early Tuesday.

She announced earlier this month in a lengthy Instagram post that her long-awaited ‘30’ album will be released on Nov. 19. The first single, “Easy on Me,” dropped earlier this month.

In the post, she writes: “I was certainly nowhere near where I’d hoped to be when I first started it nearly 3 years ago. Quite the opposite actually. I rely on routine and consistency to feel safe, I always have. And yet there I was knowingly – willingly even, throwing myself into a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil! I’ve learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way. I’ve shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I’ve finally found my feeling again.

Inside 'Adele World' - the stunning new stadium built for 80,000 fans a night revealed

Adele is planning a break from music very soon and if you want to see the superstar in action in Germany you still have a chance with a small number of tickets still available

Adele

  • 08:31, 2 Aug 2024
  • Updated 10:59, 2 Aug 2024

She has been playing to 4,000 people in her Las Vegas gigs so this will be quite a shock to the system.

But builders are putting the final touches to Adele's super stadium in Munich. Dubbed ' Adele World' the venue will be home to the London singer and global start from next weekend. And 74,000 fans are expected to watch her every night in the specially-built "pop up" stadium.

The venue will also host an "Adele experience" featuring an English pub, a stage for a cover band and stalls selling specially designed cocktails. Organisers are also aiming to get into the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest outdoor screen of all time.

If you can't see the poll, click here

The 220 metre wide and 30 metre high LED screen being installed will cost £34million. The entire setup is designed to resemble a concert shell, reminiscent of venues in Las Vegas but on a grander scale. Adele posted pictures of the venue to her Instagram account after visiting it earlier this month, calling the set-up "bloody exciting".

And she told German Broadcaster ZDF that the giant video installation would enhance the experience for fans. "They just want to see your face and know it's you, so the screens are enormous." Despite the first show starting on Friday, around 5% of tickets for the shows over the next month are still available to buy.

They are likely to be snapped up though as the 10-date residency will be her last gig of the year aside from some more Vegas shows which are already sold out. "My tank is quite empty at the minute," the star said ahead of the residency in Munich. "I don’t have any plans for new music at all. I want a big break after all this and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while. You know, I don’t even sing at home at all. How strange is that?”

Fans going to the shows next weekend may get to hear from Adele about her reported new engagement, as she is known for being chatty on stage between songs. Despite months of speculation that they had wed already, American sports agent Rich Paul is actually said to have proposed last week.

Adele, 36, had previously sparked rumours they were hitched by referring on stage to Rich, 42, as her husband and calling herself his wife but it was an "in joke". Previously she was married to entrepreneur Simon Konecki from 2018 to 2021 and they share an 11-year-old son Angelo.

Adele could take time off to plan for a wedding next year, with her residency in Las Vegas ending in November. Her last album came out in 2021, and she has spent the past two years playing a weekend residency, recently completing her 90th show at the 4,000-capacity Caesar's Palace.

Adele said one of the reasons she wants to take a break from music is because of a struggle with the limelight. "I miss everything about before I was famous, I think probably being anonymous the most," she said.

"I like that I get to make music all the time, whenever I want to, and people are receptive to it and like it. That's pretty unimaginable. But the fame side of it, I absolutely hate. The fact that people are even interested in my songs and my voice is pretty wild. I don't think it ever gets normal. So it's worth it, the balance."

James earl jones, authoritative actor and voice of darth vader, dies at 93, adele on why new album will serve as a pandemic “reminder,” won’t be followed by a major tour.

The singer presently has no plans for a major tour for '30,' due out Nov. 18, in part because of lingering concerns over COVID-19: “It’s too unpredictable."

Adele

Adele ‘s long-awaited fourth studio album, 30 , was delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic, and the singer says the reception to her new music will be inadvertently shaped by it.

As part of Rolling Stone’ s December cover story , the Grammy-winning artist opened up about life after her divorce, including her depression and the impact it had on her latest album. But the singer also spoke about the ways the pandemic has shaped the album’s release, for both her and listeners. The last year forced many musicians to not only push back music releases but tours and other marketing events. For Adele, whose albums have always captured specific times in her life, it was imperative that the release of 30 happen now. Otherwise, she says, it might never have happened.

“If it wasn’t coming out now, I think I probably would never put it out,” she admitted. “I know I would’ve changed my mind and been like, ‘It’s moved on. Let’s start the next album.’ And I couldn’t do that to this album. I feel like it deserves to come out.”

But with the decision to release 30 in the midst of an ongoing pandemic came the awareness that this troubled era would hang over her new music. The singer suggests that the album and its singles may end up, for some listeners, being defined by the global experience. “No one wants to remember this period of time,” she said. “Obviously, it’s way better than last year, but the day my album comes out, someone’s loved one will have died from COVID . For them, it’s going to be a reminder every time they hear ‘Easy on Me’ on the radio.”

But COVID’s impact doesn’t stop with the album’s release and reception. It already has impacted her approach to touring, the singer says. After filming two live specials for 30 in October, including one for CBS, Adele has plans to do a few big shows next year, including two appearances in Hyde Park in London. But the singer presently has no plans for a major tour, at least not like one that resembles her tour for 25 .

“It’s too unpredictable, with all the rules and stuff,” she said. “I don’t want anyone coming to my show scared. And I don’t want to get COVID, either.”

Adele has announced that she will be taking an extended break from music when she concludes her Las Vegas residency in November.

Addressing the audience at her final show in Munich on Saturday evening (31 August), the “Easy On Me” singer told fans that she has 10 remaining shows in Vegas, but after that, they won’t see her for “an incredibly long time”.

The 36-year-old explained that she has been touring and performing non-stop for almost three years, and that she’s ready to get back to “living my life”.

“I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now,” the singer said through tears. “I want to live my life that I’ve been building and I will miss you terribly.”

She explained that while Munich was meant to conclude her tour, she has 10 more shows to deliver to fans in Vegas who missed out when she fell ill at the beginning of the run in 2022.

Adele appears to confirm she’s engaged to Rich Paul

“But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time,” she said to the crowd in a video captured by a fan, shared on X/Twitter. “And I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break”

The Grammy-winner emphasised that this period has been the “longest” time she has ever performed for, and she will likely never commit to such a schedule again.

Singer announced an extended break after touring non-stop for almost three years

The singer announced she will remember the shows for “eternity”, before leading fans in a tearful sing-a-long of her 2011 breakout song “Someone Like You”.

Adele’s residency at Caesars Colosseum in Las Vegas will continue until 23 November this year. It is unknown when she will return to making music or performing again.

The past three years have seen Adele touring her Grammy-winning album 30 , which saw the release of hits “I Drink Wine”, “Hold On” and “Love is a Game”. The album, released in 2021, was her first release in six years after her acclaimed third record 25 .

Adele’s love ballads in 30 were written during a period of emotional tumult following the singer’s divorce from her husband Simon Konecki in 2019. The pair had been together since 2011 and married in secret in 2018.

The pair share a son, Angelo, who was born in 2012, and they have continued to co-parent together since their split.

In the past three years while living in the US, the singer has found love again with American sports agent Rich Paul, who she started dating in 2021.

It is thought that the pair are soon to be married since Adele has told fans onstage that she is “engaged” , and on another occasion, she referred to Paul as her “husband”.

In an interview with Elle , Adele celebrated her relationship with Paul, noting that she’d “never been in love like this” before. “I’m obsessed with him. I’m just in loooove! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married,” she told the magazine.

Earlier this year, the singer candidly shared her plans to have a family with Paul , during a monologue at a Las Vegas show.

“Once I am done with all my obligations and stuff like that and all my shows, I’m going to have a baby,” she explained. “And I want a girl because I’ve already got a boy.”

She then told the audience about the possibility of having a baby daughter: “She’s going to put me in my place all the time, isn’t she? With me as her mother and Rich as her father, she’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?”
