For summer time weddings you can have your ceremony around 5pm on the Entrance Lawn. Following the ceremony, the Cocktail Hour unfolds outdoors on the main lawn by the pool, commencing at 6pm. Then after a delightful few hours of cocktails and socialising, the dinner festivities commence.

The dinner setting offers versatile options, including the atmospheric Court Yard, the charming Pine Alley, or the refined interiors of one of our Reception Halls. Finally, as the clock strikes 11pm, the party kicks off in the Main Reception Hall of the venue late into the night.

Château La Tour Vaucros is strategically situated close to Châteauneuf du Pape, just minutes away from the historical cities of Avignon and Orange, and a mere one-hour drive from Marseille. As a wedding photographer living in the South of France I thought it might be super helpful to share with you some of my favourite venues in the region! Today I am going to tell you about a rather special place.

Chateau La Tour Vaucros

Avignon, Provence

A place full of history and pure Provençale beauty, this gorgeous Chateau sets the perfect scene for romantic and decadent weddings and is situated a short distance from Avignon, in the Heart of Luberon, Provence. It’s charms transport you to a magical world and will give your celebrations a quintessential French wedding.

Being private and self-contained, the property will enable you to share special moments with your family and friends, whenever and how long you choose to stay, in the comfort of the beautiful guest houses. Accommodation is in abundance with 14 bedrooms within 4 houses (sleeping up to 34 persons).

You can choose from a variety of different settings for your wedding at the venue, here are some of my favourite!

The swimming pool and its garden setting.

For an outdoor ceremony in natural surroundings, cocktails under the canopy of pine trees, for a brunch the morning after the wedding  -this is the ideal spot.

The outdoor theatre at the approach to the Château.

A wonderful setting for your ceremony, it can also serve as a children’s play area.

The path leading to the Château beneath the age-old pines and Fountain Terrace

The Fountain Terrace offers another perfect setting – either for cocktails or for a cosy dining experience.

A unique setting in which to hold your wedding ceremony or to have brunch the following day – beneath the shady pines in the height of summer.

The Summer Room (salon d’Eté) overlooking the vines.

Used in conjunction with the Vine Terrace, it offers an indoor/outdoor experience for your reception meal or brunch.

The Grand Reception Room

With its magnificent chandeliers and understated yet stylish décor, it will captivate your guests!  The room and dance floor can be set up and dressed to suit your requirements.

The Château Courtyard

Through the gates you will find another special spot which will add prestige to your event!  The Courtyard, under the age-old  plane tree, will bring a true Provençale feel to your wedding!

CHATEAU LA TOUR VAUCROS

In the warmth of Provence, amid the rustic charm of Chateau La Tour Vaucros, a love story unfurled that transcended the boundaries of time itself. Harriet and Andrew carefully selected this French wedding venue as the idyllic backdrop for their destination wedding, with the assistance of their destination wedding planner. Their intimate gathering of 80 cherished guests would partake in a magical three-day celebration, etching timeless memories into their hearts.

The festivities commenced with a pre-wedding soirée in the front courtyard, where guests gathered under the open sky. A plentiful grazing table beckoned, offering an array of tempting treats. A cocktail truck, adorned with wicker baskets of fresh flowers and surrounded by inviting linen sofa seating, set the stage for an evening of relaxed elegance.

On the wedding day, the French wedding venue of their dreams was transformed into a tapestry of white and green, with natural elements like wood and linen seamlessly blending with the innate beauty of Provence. Guests were welcomed with freshly squeezed lemonade, a refreshing prelude to the day's events.

The ceremony unfolded in one of the Chateau's idyllic gardens, where wooden chairs created an intimate setting around the couple. A skilled celebrant, guided by the expertise of the destination wedding planner, personalised the ceremony, weaving Harriet and Andrew's unique love story into the fabric of the day.

After the ceremony, guests strolled to the next garden of their French wedding Chateau, where Provencal canapés awaited, alongside personalized cocktails that paid tribute to the couple's love story. The garden became a serene haven, bathed in the mellifluous tunes of a saxophonist, their melodies drifting through the air like whispers of love.

As the sun gracefully dipped below the horizon, guests were summoned to the dining area, each one picking up a sparkling glass of Mirabeau rosé from the elegant gold and glass champagne stand. Name cards adorned each glass, guiding each guest to their designated place at the long table beneath a canopy of zigzag string lights. The table was a visual masterpiece, adorned with a mesmerizing array of centrepieces featuring white and green flowers set amidst off-white dinner candles held in elegant glass candle holders. Each place setting was a study in simplicity, with a white scalloped charger supporting silver cutlery and timeless chic glassware. Magnums of Mirabeau rose wine graced the table, infusing the evening with the flavours of Provence.

Following dinner, the guests embarked on a journey to the party room, where the beats of a DJ and saxophonists ignited the atmosphere with pulsating energy. The open bar, a hub of laughter and camaraderie, beckoned guests to celebrate love. In a moment of sheer delight, Harriet and Andrew 'cracked the croquembouche,' sparks dancing around them, making it a mesmerizing entertainment experience that would be cherished for a lifetime.

In the heart of Chateau La Tour Vaucros, where history and love intertwined, Harriet and Andrew's wedding was a timeless affair, uniting their love with the enduring beauty of Provence. It was a day etched in memory, where love and time converged in a symphony of joy and elegance, meticulously orchestrated by their destination wedding planner.

Hannah & Jack wanted to unite in a place imbued with French poetry.

This stunning all-white wedding orchestrated by wedding planner Elle et nous took place at Chateau la Tour Vaucros, a beautiful estate in the heart of Provence. The white details have been carefully curated to make the celebration chic and elegant.
