Food Tours of Miami
This tour company only offers one food tour and it’s a very good one.
They aim to give their guests an array of foods found in South Beach and include tastings of Cuban, Haitian, Peruvian, Mediterranean, Italian, French, and American foods.
It is suggested that you eat breakfast before the tour. This isn't to say you won't get enough to eat on the tour.
In fact, it is the opposite. So much food is sampled that for most people, lunch afterward is not needed.
This tour is highly rated on both Yelp and TripAdvisor. The few negative reviews come from guests who were unfamiliar with the concept of a food tour.
There is also a generous discount for members of the military, veterans, policemen, and firemen.

Swooped With Forks Food Tour
This is another offering from Miami Food Tours and offers a more interesting taste of Miami.
A change of scenery and menus can definitely make for a big difference in experiences.
What is specifically different about this tour from other tours is that instead of walking around the city, you’ll be swooped up in a golf cart and driven from location to location.
This food tour may take you to areas other than Wynwood, but most are located in the heart of this creative neighborhood.
Expect to learn a lot about the eclectic dishes you’ll find in the area as you uncover the history behind the architecture and street art that defines the “Magic City” as Wynwood is called.
While there are not a lot of reviews specifically discussing the Swooped With Forks tour, those that do are very favorable. Guests report generous sample sizes, which means you should eat a light breakfast.
One downside is that tickets are twice the price of other tours but that is because of the fact that you will be driven rather than walking. This is a big advantage for those with mobility issues or anyone who isn’t fond of walking in the heat and sun.
- $129/Adults | $99/Children (8-15 years old)
- Availability: 11 am | Check their calendar for availability.

Instead of getting the opportunity to experience several different flavors from all around the city, you’ll visit one or two restaurants.
If you don’t care too much about sampling food from a variety of places, you might want to consider the Miami to the Max tour offered by the Miami Tour Company.
They are highly rated on TripAdvisor, and this particular tour provides a full meal at a great restaurant. After that meal, you will also visit an ice cream shop and savor the flavor of Cuban coffee.
Miami to the Max will take you through Wynwood, Little Havana, and South Beach, so it’s a pretty good option if a traditional food tour isn’t something that interests you. Alternatively, you could experience the city on your own by taking advantage of the Go City Miami Pass .
With the card, you’ll have access to bike rentals and bus service that will take you to several different locations in Miami.
In addition to this option, you can also use the MetroMover light rail system to get around a 4.4-mile area in the city for free.
We highly recommend trying out a guided tour rather than exploring South Florida on your own, but if you are the adventurous type, make sure to plan out an itinerary before making any excursion.

These RI chefs have tasted the world. How you can join them on a culinary tour.
Food and travel are an intoxicating combination. Imagine how tempting trips planned with local food stars could be on destinations ranging from South Korea to Portugal.
Club Adventures, AAA’s small-group adventure tour operator, has teamed up with Providence and Rhode Island chefs, restaurateurs, and beverage experts to offer curated food tours starting in August and running into next year. The concept is to see the world through a local lens with a guide who knows all the best places to eat and drink.
Of the 13 food and drink trips, some are close to home including New York City and Austin, Texas. Others are to islands including the Azores and Sicily. Mexico, Spain and Germany during Oktoberfest are other destinations. One trip offers a gluten-free and vegan adventure in Italy.
The trips will have an average size of 14 travelers. They range in time from 4 days to 10 days with prices from $1,999 to $7,979.
Bethany Hodge's 15 years in the travel industry have included designing and operating culturally immersive small group trips. Now, as head of product for Club Adventures, she is launching the new tours.
But it was a conversation with Bethany Caliaro, owner/manager of both Oberlin and Gift Horse in Providence , that planted the seed for the program. Hodge was headed to Mexico with her husband Brian and Caliaro had just returned from a trip there. She shared her list of restaurants, bars and specific dishes for the couple to try.
"I’ve been watching the food and hospitality industry in Rhode Island become a national leader in innovation, community, diversity and sustainability – all values that I use when designing Club Adventures tours," she said.
"Every one of her suggestions elevated our travel experience, and I realized that the insight and guidance of a food professional could really turn a fun trip into a memorable adventure," said Hodge.
With consumer interest in culinary travel on the rise, Hodge knew tours that showcased these mutual values could be a hit. She first pitched the idea to Caliaro and Jen Davis, who manages the beverage program at The Eddy and Durk's Bar-B-Q , both in Providence. They connected Hodge to more of the local culinary community.
"Every single establishment that I spoke with was in," said Hodge.
Each chef/bartender/business owner has been involved in curating the itinerary, leading to an exclusive experience that can’t be found anywhere else in the market.
"While chef-led tours are certainly being done in the travel space, I believe this is a first to ever showcase a city’s leaders in the culinary space all at once as a unified portfolio," Hodge said.
"It really speaks to the community and creativity of Providence," she said.
She hopes to create even more trips for 2025 with more leaders in the Rhode Island hospitality scene, she said.
The trips and guides
The cultural exploration and food adventures will be led by an impressive group including James Beard nominated chef Ben Sukle of Oberlin and Gift Horse. He will lead a September tour to Northern Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia.
“I am incredibly excited to join everyone and experience Trieste and its surrounding cities and environs," said Sukle. "All of the nuances of the lifestyles and culture there are behind how I cook and why I love to cook."
Caliaro will lead a fish-to-fork dining adventure in Sicily. Led by Oberlin chef Chris Pfail, the art of making kimchi is on the menu for a South Korea adventure.
Jen Davis leads two trips, one to Austin, Texas, to explore the barbecue and distillery scene and one to New York City to enjoy the city's cocktail scene.
Spain will be part of a Basque Adventure led by The Eddy's Luke Mersfelder and Britt Simons.
Mexico City and Oaxaca will be explored in a trip led by Joaquin Meza of Dolores . Germany’s Oktoberfest will be celebrated with Brendan Kennedy of Proclamation Ale in Warwick.
Robin Dionne & BJ Mansuetti who operate the RI VegFest and GFree Fests will lead the Gluten-Free and Vegan tour of Italy.
Pizza Marvin's Robert Andreozzi is another James Beard nominated chef and he will be on the Portugal & Galicia Food Adventure.
Only one guide is from outside the Rhode Island culinary restaurant world but she is no stranger to locals. Maria Lawton is the host and guide of "Maria's Portuguese Table" which is presented by WSBE Rhode Island PBS. She will lead an Azores Food Adventure and Portugal Wine & Food Adventure.

Over the past week, students at dozens of universities held demonstrations, set up encampments and, at times, seized academic buildings. In response, administrators at many of those colleges decided to crack down and called in the local police to detain and arrest demonstrators.
As of Thursday, the police had arrested 2,000 people across more than 40 campuses, a situation so startling that President Biden could no longer ignore it.
Jonathan Wolfe, who has been covering the student protests for The Times, and Peter Baker, the chief White House correspondent, discuss the history-making week.

Recall alert: martinelli’s apple juice recalled over arsenic concerns, product sold at publix supermarkets.
Veronica Crespo , Digital Journalist
Check your pantry. Martinelli’s Apple Juice has been recalled over arsenic concerns, according to a study.
Martinelli’s Apple Juice, One Liter (33.8 fl. oz.) bottle with a “Best By” date of “ 09MAR2026 ″ or “ 10MAR2026 ″ on the front of the bottle above the label has been recalled nationwide, including at Publix Supermarkets across South Florida.

The product was shipped between March 13, 2023, and Sept. 27, 2023, with the majority of the product shipped before July 28, 2023.
The FDA has stated that exposure to elevated levels of inorganic arsenic can pose a health hazard to young children. The recall is a result of sampling by the State of Maryland that found samples from one production lot of Martinelli’s apple juice, sold in one-liter glass bottles, tested above the guidance action level for inorganic arsenic in apple juice.
Effective June 1, 2023, the FDA issued guidance lowering the industry action level for inorganic arsenic in apple juice from 23 parts per billion to 10 ppb, in line with the requirements for water.
No illness or complaints related to this product code has been reported to date, and no other production dates or Martinelli products are affected by this recall.
Consumers who have additional questions or concerns should call Martinelli’s at 1-800-662-1868.

Hans Baumgartner, the real estate broker who repped Leclerc in the recently inked deal, declined to identify exactly which of the building’s 185 units the successful Ferrari driver purchased or how much he spent. But these particular condos span the 10th to 40th floors of the 55-story Bayshore Drive tower and start at $3.1 million.
Per marketing materials, open-concept floor plans for the two- to three-bedroom Signature Residences range from 2,315 square feet to 2,709 square feet and feature Studio Munge-designed living space adorned throughout, with high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling walls of glass, and expansive terraces framing picturesque Miami Beach skyline, Biscayne Bay and Atlantic Ocean vistas.
Additional highlights include private elevator lobbies and spacious great rooms holding combination living and dining areas. They’re nestled alongside bespoke Italkraft kitchens outfitted with eat-in islands and top-tier Wolfe and Sub-Zero appliances. There are also grand primary suites with walk-in closets, as well as spa-inspired baths equipped with dual vanities, stone countertops, freestanding soaking tubs and showers.
Leclerc will be privy to 45,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor amenities, including lush waterfront gardens designed by landscape architecture firm ESDA, a cabana-lined swimming pool and cinema, a poolside garden lounge and bar, a fitness center and yoga studio, pickleball courts, a full-service spa operated by Edition, a boardroom, a library lounge, six guest suites and an on-site restaurant.
“We are continuing to see increased interest from international, high-profile and celebrity buyers who are attracted to the tower’s heightened level of security and privacy,” Taylor Collins, managing partner of Two Roads Development, said in a press statement. “With our development deeply rooted in hospitality, buyers feel a deep connection to the curated lifestyle the Edition brand offers.”
Construction on the global hotel brand’s first standalone residences in Miami is set to begin later this year, with an estimated delivery timeframe of 36 months. Sales and marketing duties are being exclusively handled by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing , a division of Douglas Elliman Realty.
