Kevin Hart is a stand-up comic hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who was born on the 6th of July 1979. Since his debut in 1999 he has become one of the most successful stand-up comics of his generation, and has starred in several equally succesful films as a result.

Born to a single mother and a cocaine addict father who was in and out of prison for most of his childhood, Kevin Hart turned to making people laugh as a coping mechanism for his troubled family life. He discovered stand-up comedy while still a child and by the time he’d finished studying at a New York City community college, he had moved to Boston, Massachusetts and began performing at open mic nights anywhere he could find them. Like any stand up worth their salt, Hart struggled at the start of his career, being booed off stage multiple times in his first couple of months. However, that wasn’t going to stop him, and he continued to work on his stand up before finally finding a small measure of success in local Massachusetts comedy competitions.

With the help of comedy veteran Keith Robinson, Hart found his voice as a comic, bringing his neuroses and his insecurities to the forefront and making himself the target of many jokes and routines. He started to make a name for himself on the national comedy circuit, leading to sell out shows in New York and Los Angeles, and as a result of those shows, AMC made him the star of his own sitcom, The Big House. The show wasn’t a hit, but Hart was acclaimed for his role in it, and in 2006, he released his first stand up album “Little Grown Man”. He’s had several hit stand up albums released since then, and he’s become an even bigger deal for both his film roles and stand up sets, selling out Madison Square Garden in 2014 and headlining films like This Is The End and Ride Along. For being one of the most fascinating and hilarious figures in modern comedy, Kevin Hart comes highly recommended.

Although actor and comedian Kevin Hart is not a huge frequenter of the live circuit, every time he does step onto stage he is guaranteed to have the audience in stitches. Known for playing a selection of comedy characters throughout the 00s, the well known actor turned his hand to comedy albums which make up the majority of the set tonight.

The audience is responsive and enthusiastic throughout the evening, even the front row who cruelly become the topic of some of Kevin's impromptu material. The atmosphere is light hearted throughout and Hart never loses the attention of the room due to his animated mannerisms and commandeering of the stage. Although the tours are not frequent due to all of Kevin's other commitments, I thoroughly recommend you get tickets whenever he is next around as you are in for an absolute comedic treat.

I flew extra from Sicily to Berlin to find out the show was cancelled. I shortened my vacation for this show and lost money for the flight and hotel.

Who knows if I even get my money back for the tickets.

Kevin Hart is an enormously popular comedian, with hit movies, albums and television appearances, a huge fan base and global name recognition. Yet it may come as a surprise to learn that his upcoming What Now? tour, which begins April 9 in Texas, is on track to become the highest grossing comedy tour ever reported to Billboard Boxscore, selling more than 600,000 tickets and grossing $35 million to date — and it’s only March.

In New York alone, Hart quickly sold out two shows at Madison Square Garden, along with Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. — a trio of metro-area plays that only the most confident pop or rock stars would even attempt (and he’s already booked a fourth area venue in Wantagh, N.Y. for August 28). To top it off, Hart, 35, will wrap the tour at Lincoln Financial Field in his hometown of Philadelphia on Aug. 30 — making him the first comedian ever to headline a stadium.

By every metric — ticket sales, festival appearances, venue size and the sheer volume of comics doing strong business — live comedy is at its highest-ever level, pulling in annual revenues of more than $300 million, Billboard estimates. But even by that standard, Hart is in a league of his own.

“The tour is truly remarkable,” says Geof Wills , president of Live Nation Comedy (promoter of 60 of the nearly 70 shows on Hart’s tour), citing the $70 average ticket price and the multiple shows in arenas — often two sellouts in one night. While other comics often focus films and television at the expense of full-scale tours, Hart “wants to do the films, the specials  and  the concerts,” says Wills. “Kevin is really going for it all.”

Hart, who is booked by Mike Berkowitz at APA, has been touring nationally since 2009, and began adding arenas to his route a few years ago when doubles at performing arts centers and theaters were selling out quickly. On his last tour in 2012, Hart stepped up to arenas in “quite a few markets,” Wills says. Numerous film roles, an active social media presence, and the non-polarizing nature of Hart’s comedy continue to boost the comic’s popularity.

Still, the “biggest-ever comedy tour” is a relative term. Jeff Dunham owns the Guinness world record for ticket sales, with nearly 2 million for his 2007-2010 Spark of Insanity tour. In 2009, Dane Cook grossed $26,570,000with attendance of 436,000 from 45 shows — a feat already trounced by Hart projections. (Decades ago, Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy put up big numbers, but abandoned concert tours relatively early.)

And while Wills says What Now? is “without question” the biggest comedy tour he’s seen in more than 20 years of concert promotion, he notes that other elite comedians could meet Hart’s numbers “if they really wanted to — they just don’t.” Dave Chappelle can crush the box office but usually opts for a residency model. He sold out 10 Radio City Music Hall shows — 60,000 tickets — in 2014 “in his sleep,” Wills says, for a gross of $5 million, according to Boxscore.

Still, Hart’s success makes a statement about the overall health of live comedy. Acts such as Louis CK , Daniel Tosh , Amy Schumer , Brian Regan , Hannibal Buress , Patton Oswalt , Bill Burr and Aziz Ansari are “making real waves,” Wills says. “And that’s just tip-of-the-iceberg-ing it.”

Kevin Hart's 'Reality Check' 2022 Tour Ticket Prices, New Dates and Venues

Kevin Hart is heading out on tour with his new comedy show Reality Check, which will see him travel across North America for four months.

Ahead of kicking off the tour, the Jumanji star announced on Monday, September 12 that he had added eight new dates to his schedule.

Hart confirmed in a press statement that new tour dates were added in Reading, Pennsylvania, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Boise, Idaho, Knoxville, Tennessee, State College, Pennsylvania, and Mobile, Alabama.

Second shows were also added in San Diego and Denver due to popular demand.

The tickets for these extra dates will go on sale on Friday, September 16 at 10 a.m. local time on Hart's website, KevinHartNation.com, with the exception of the Knoxville date which will go on sale at 11 a.m. local time.

Live Nation will be hosting a presale for fans which begins from Wednesday, September 14 at 10 a.m. local time, and this presale will be held until 11:59 p.m. local time on Thursday, September 15.

Tickets for the other dates on Hart 's tour are already on sale, and fans can purchase their tickets on the aforementioned website.

Prices for tickets to Hart's tour varies depending on the venue and the seating area a fan chooses, with tickets ranging from $710 to $95.

LAS VEGAS, NV (APRIL 16, 2024) – This summer, beloved Emmy and Grammy-nominated comedian Kevin Hart, will make his highly-anticipated return to Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas with two performances of his all-new show, Kevin Hart: Acting My Age . Hart will take over the Resorts World Theatre stage on Friday, July 12, 2024, and Sunday, July 14, 2024, with laugh-out-loud jokes in his can’t-miss show. These events will be a phone-free experience . Use of phones, smartwatches, and accessories will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smartwatches, and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue. All devices will be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space. Anyone seen using a device (phone, smartwatch, or accessories) during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security. Guests’ cooperation in creating a phone-free experience is appreciated.
