Bangladesh Sundarban

Day 1: Kochikhali and Harberia Ecotourism

Arriving to Mongla early in the morning to board our waiting boat. After being picked up by our guide and trustworthy hands, our boat will immediately set sail for the Sundarbans. Drinks and brunch can be enjoyed on the boat.

After a two-hour cruise, the boat will stop at the Chadpai forest office to complete the necessary paperwork and pick up an armed forest ranger who will be our security for the duration of our Sundarbans excursion.

After a lengthy travel, we will halt at the popular Sundarbans location of Harbaria Eco-Center, which is 30 minutes away on foot. To make the point clear, we’ll resume travelling in the direction of Kochikhali. Eat your meal aboard the boat.

We’ll anchor our boat close to the Kochikhali Forest Office in the evening. When you get there, take a short boat ride to a creek and a canal to look for wildlife. (If there is time before dusk) Return to the boat, halt for the day, have dinner there, and spend the night there in Kochikhali.

Day 2: Kotka Wildlife Sanctuary, Tiger Point, and Kochikhali & Kotka Wildlife Sanctuary

We’ll take a boat ride down the tiny canal after enjoying a pre-breakfast of a cookie and coffee or tea in the early morning. Early in the morning is the finest time to take a boat ride. We will eventually disembark from the small boat and take a substantial hike through the dense jungle. Upon returning to the boat, eat breakfast before setting sail for Kotka. Kotka station may be reached in two hours.

You’ll witness wildlife along the way, such as deer, crocodiles, birds, otter, and Bengal monitor lizards. After arriving, we’ll walk for one and a half hours to the Jamtola Sea beach. Scenery the devastation left by a significant cyclone that hit Bangladesh in 2007 while taking in the Bay of Bengal view. After returning to the boat, eat lunch and take a short nap.

Visit the Kotka Wildlife Sanctuary, which is where you may witness a large herd of deer. Walking for thirty minutes through the forest. Take in the Bay of Bengal’s sunset or visit the lookout to observe the wildlife.

As the sun is setting, we’ll begin our return trip to Mongla. At Chadpai/Jaimoni, which is the midpoint of Sundarban, we will moor the boat. On this day, have a barbecue dinner on the boat and have a good time.

Day 3: Karamjal Crocodile Breeding Center and Fishing Village

We’ll take a boat ride down the tiny canal after enjoying a pre-breakfast of a cookie and coffee or tea in the early morning. After breakfast, stroll through a fishing town to learn about the way of life and the families of the fishermen. Spend 30 minutes at the Karamjal crocodile breeding point.

Make yourself ready to leave the boat after lunch. In the late afternoon, the boat will dock at Mongla. Finish your excursion with a refreshment of the deep forest, an encounter with wildlife, and a pleasant tour in your memories.

Bangladesh 7 Shaktipeeth tour from Kolkata Itinerary:

Day 1 : visit the bangladesh shaktipeeth of jeshoreshwari. o/n at barishal.

Start your Bangladesh Shaktipeeth tour from Kolkata early in the morning. After clearing the immigration formalities, visit the Jeshoreswari Shaktipeeth.

According to belief, Jeshoreshwari Temple represents the site where the palm of Maa Sati is said to have fallen. The Bhairava protecting her is Chanda Bhairav. 

Spend some time at the temple and thereafter start for Barishal. Overnight stay at Barishal.

Day 2 : Visit the second Bangladesh Shaktipeeth of Sugandha. O/n at Dhaka

After breakfast start your journey for a Darshan of the the Sugandha Shaktipeeth. Maa Sati’s nose is said to have fallen here and the protecting Bhairav here is  Traimbak (Rudra).

This Shaktipeeth is located on the bank of the river Sunanda near the town of Barishal. After visiting the Sugandha Shaktipeeth temple, visit the presiding Bhairav and leave for Dhaka. Overnight stay at a Hotel in Dhaka.

Day 3 : Excursion to Aparna Shaktipeeth and Dhakeswari Temple. O/n at Dhaka

After breakfast, we would drive to Bhabanipur village of Sherpur Upazilla to visit the Aparna Shaktipeeth. 

The temple was built by Rani Bhawani and a major portion of the temple is in ruins. Apart from the temple, you would love photo-shooting the ruins.

Devi’s Left Anklet is said to have fallen here. She is worshipped here as Aparna and her Bhairav is woshipped as Vaman.

Return to Dhaka and if time permits, visit the Dhakeswari Shaktipeeth, else we would visit it the next day. Return to your designated hotel and evening would be free for shopping or exploring Dhaka on your own. Overnight stay at Dhaka.

Day 4 : Visit the Dhakeswari temple (If not visited the last day) and Mahalaxmi Griba Shaktipeeth. O/n at Sylhet.

Today, it would be a long day. After breakfast, you would start for your 9 hrs drive to Sylhet. We might even opt to travel by train, if possible, for a comfortable journey. 

Check in to your hotel at Sylhet and in the evening we would visit the Mahalaxmi Griba Temple.

Shri Shri Mahalakshmi Griba Shaktipeeth is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths located at Joinpur village, near Gotatikar, which is 3 km south-east of Sylhet town in Bangladesh. 

This is one of the famous Bangladesh Shaktipeeth. This Shaktipeeth is also known by the name of Shri Shail Shaktipeeth.

Maa Sati’s neck is said to have fallen here . Maa is worshipped here as Mahalakshmi and the Bhairav form is Sambaranand.

Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5 : Visit the Jaintia Shaktipeeth. O/n at Comilla

After breakfast start for the Bangladesh Shaktipeeth of Jaintia. This Shaktipeeth is located on the Sylhet – Shillong road at Baurbhag village in Kanaighat Upazilla near Jaintiapur in Bangladesh.

The left thigh of Goddess Sati is said to have fallen at Jaintia Shaktipeeth . Here, Devi is worshiped in the form of Maa Jayanti and the protecting Bhairav is worshipped as Kramadeeshwar or Kramadhesh.

Actually there is a difference of opinion as regards the exact location of the Shaktipeeth. Some contend that it is the Nartiang Durga temple at Nartiang in Meghalaya, India which is the real Jayanti Shaktipeeth, though there is shortage of corroborating evidences.

We believe there are two places , one in Bangladesh and the other in India which are believed to be the Jaintia Shaktipeeth .

After visiting the Jaintia Shaktipeeth, we proceed  for Comilla, a distance of about 215, covered in about 4 hrs. Overnight stay would be at Comilla.

Day 6 : Visit the Bangladesh Shaktipeeth of Chattal Bhavani at Chandranath Hill, Sitakunda and depart for India

After breakfast start for Sitakunda, Visit the Chattal Shaktipeeth on the Chandranath Hill. 

Here Devi’s Right arm is said to have fallen. Here Maa Sati is worshipped as ‘ Bhawani’ . Many people also call the Chattal Shaktipeeth the Bhavani Shaktipeeth.

Bhairav here is worshipped as ‘ Kramadhiswar/Chandrasekhar ’.  The Temple of Bhairav is located on top of the Chandranath Hill. At normal trekking speed, it would take around 1.5 – 2 hrs to trek up the temple.

Return to Sitakunda and proceed for Land Border of Akhaura. 

Upon arrival at Akhaura, clear your immigration formalities and drop to Agartala Airport by 5:30 PM.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01: dhaka- kolkata.

Start Journey from Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal International airport. After a while fly in sky then reach at Kolkata airport. As soon as you reach Kolkata Airport you will find our local representative is waiting for you with a placard writing your name on it. After meet and greet, you will be transferred to Hotel at Kolkata by A.C car. After checking in the hotel, it is free time you can go for shopping there as your hotel is near to the new market area.

DAY 02: KOLKATA TO SRINAGAR

After breakfast check out from hotel and drop to Kolkata airport. As soon as you reach Srinagar Airport you will find our local representative is waiting for you with a placard writing your name on it. After meet and greet, your family will be transferred to Hotel at Srinagar by A.C car. After checking in the hotel, it is free time for everyone. Enjoy the beauty of Srinagar local area. Overnight stay in hotel at Srinagar.

Meal: Breakfast and Dinner

DAY 03: SRINAGAR – SONAMARG (DAYLONG TRIP)

After breakfast, you will be taken next for a day-long memorable excursion to Sonamarg which is known as the GATEWAY OF LADAKH. It will take around one hour and forty five minutes to reach there (80 Km from Srinagar). Full day sightseeing at Sonamarg.The pristine setting and beautiful views of the hills in Sonamarg are the perfect settings to create special moments and lovely memories. At evening you will be returned back to the Hotel at Srinagar.

DAY 04:  SRINAGAR TO PAHALGAM

After early breakfast, another scenic drive will take you to Pahalgam. It will take around 2 hours and 30 minutes (92 Km from Srinagar). Visit the Martand Sun Temple en-route, and enjoy the scenic beauty of the valley. Upon reaching, check-in at the hotel and relax. After lunch, you will experience a half day city excursion. There are a lot of adventurous activities to do, but you can select a few because of the shortage of time. After completing city excursion you will be taken back to the hotel. Over night stay at hotel Pahalgam.

Meal: Breakfast and Dinner.

DAY 05: PAHALGAM TO GULMARG

Early morning after breakfast, you will be transferred from Pahalgam to Gulmarg. Upon arrival, check in the hotel at Gulmarg and relax. After that enjoy the ride with Asia’s largest cable car (Gondola). Back to the hotel and take dinner.

DAY 06: GULMARG TO SRINAGAR

Early morning after breakfast, you will be transferred from Gulmarg to Srinagar. Upon arrival, check in house boat and enjoy the time in the houseboat with Shiakar Ride. It is the free time. Take the delicious dinner at house boat. Over night at Dale lake.

DAY 07: DEPARTURE DAY

After breakfast time is free till departure. Check out from the houseboat and then your family will be transferred to the airport to connect your flight towards Dhaka, Bangladesh.
