For many years, the Winamax Poker Tour has been a circuit that has enabled numerous amateur poker players to qualify for an exceptional tournament . Winamax Poker Tour plans 2022 live relaunch

The Winamax Poker Tour (WiPT) is set to resume its live event offerings after enduring a hiatus now entering its third year. In a Thursday announcement, the France-based site revealed its tentative plans for live 2022 events in Spain, Slovakia, and Ireland.

The planned events are the first for the Winamax Poker Tour since a four-stop 2020 slate was wiped away by the COVID-19 pandemic. Two of the three stops returns to locales that Winamax had planned for 2020.

According to Winamax's Benjo Dimeo, the first Winamax Poker Tour stop of 2022 will occur in Madrid and is scheduled to run May 7-15. Back in March of 2020, Madrid was to host the live finale of the 2019 Winamax tour, which had several stops in Spain, but the coronavirus forced it to be cancelled just days prior to its start. The new 2022 stop is thus a reunion of sorts, being held at Madrid's Grand Madrid Torrelodones Casino. Winamax has revealed that the stop will include a €500 6-max Main Event with multiple opening days, but the company is withholding other details.

Next up is a tour stop scheduled for the autumn in Bratislava, Slovakia. Slated to run September 26 - October 2, 2022, the stop replaces possible returns to Lloret de Mar, Spain or Marrakesh, Morocco, which had hosted earlier WiPT stops. Besides revealing that the series will be held at a Crowne Plaza hotel adjacent to the Danube River, which bisects Bratislava, no other details have been release.

The third Winamax Poker Tour stop in the works for 2020 is a late-year return to its origins as a live stop, in Dublin, Ireland. A hoped-for 11th edition of the Winamax Poker Open is tentatively penciled in for late November or early December. "We will do it," wrote Dimeo, "if the health situation allows it again in Ireland."

Winamax Club Trophy to be decided in April

There's one other live event being planned by Winamax in 2022, and it will occur before any of the WiPT stops. Winamax also announced that its annual gathering of local club champions, will be held in April. Winamax continues to partner with local poker organizations in France, and members of 113 clubs are eligible to play for the Club Trophy, normally awarded annually but offered here for the first time since 2019. The gathering will be held April 2-3, 2022 at Disneyland Paris.

Winamax's 2022 revival of its live-poker offerings resumes a history more than a decade in the making. Though based in France, the company's first major live-event foray was the 2010 Winamax Poker Open, which was held in Ireland. The true Winamax Poker Tour launched in late 2011 in France, where it ran successfully for several years.

Changes in France's gambling laws regarding live poker events forced Winamax to move the WiPT completely online in 2018, while live events were held outside of France, most frequently in Spain. That setup remained in place until the COVID-induced 2020 cancellations.

Hi. Can you tell us anything about the history of these chips? I've seen several different Winamax or France Poker Tour sets, and I have one of the "France Poker Tour V" sets, from 2009,as far as I can find out.. Were these Tours done in conjunction with the ACF? Does Winamax use these for promotions of their on-line poker, or for a live poker tour, or for real casino tournaments, or what? Is one set produced each year? Thank you, and glws.

I do not know the history of these chips, I just know they are part of a stage of FPT sponsored Winamax (saison 6). it seems to me that the FPT final tournament was played with the ACF chips winamax to its own website to play online and there is real live tournament sorry for my bad english...  

Thank you for the reply. Your English is much, much better than my French! It is very confusing. The set I have, Poker Tour V, is from 2009. According to the only "France Poker Tour" history I have found, Winamax did not get involved with the France Poker Tour until 2010, due to changes in French law. That would be Season 6. Yet the buttons say Season IV, which would have been 2008 -- but they also say Winamax, who supposedly weren't involved until 2010. In any event, when someone buys these chips, I would be in the market for one of those dealer buttons. TIA!

You can just find season 5 and 6 on the « market », for the moment. The FPT then become the WiPT (Winamax Poker Tour). And the WiPT is running at this moment at the CCM Cercle Clichy Montmartre in Paris. These chips are VGC near mint. GL pour ta vente mec. I have one set of these chips and I’m loving them for tourney/SNG.  

Those are some pretty ceramics!

Malgré un match nul face à Dunkerque (0-0), le SCO a validé sa montée grâce à la défaite dans le même temps de Saint-Etienne (1-0) contre Quevilly. Ancien président mais toujours propriétaire, Saïd Chabane s'est montré revanchard par rapport à son contexte personnel.

En mars dernier, Saïd Chabane avait été condamné à deux ans de prison dont un avec sursis pour agressions sexuelles. Ses avocats avaient annoncé faire appel après la décision du tribunal correctionnel d'Angers. "Certains ont même parié sur mon suicide", a réagi ce vendredi le propriétaire du SCO, comme une réponse aux affaires qui l'entourent depuis la première plainte déposée en 2020. "Ils ont appelé ma famille pour dire que je m'étais suicidé. A tous ceux là, pour tout le mal que vous avez fait à moi, à mes proches et mes amis, vous n'avez fait que renforcer ma conviction car l'acharnement qu'il y a eu, je ne le souhaite à personne et certains se reconnaitront."

Bataille Angers/Saint-Étienne pour la montée directe

Pour le titre de champion de Ligue 2, l'affaire est déjà pliée par l'AJ Auxerre . Mais pour la 2e place, qui offre l'autre ticket pour la promotion directe, les choses se joueront entre l'Angers SCO et l'AS Saint-Étienne. Le club angevin est devant avec deux points d'écart. Mais sa différence de buts est défavorable (14 contre 18), ce qui rend très risqué un nul contre Dunkerque.

L'AS Saint-Étienne sera en Ligue 1 en cas de victoire contre Quevilly-Rouen et si Angers ne s'impose pas contre Dunkerque. Tout autre résultat profitera à Angers.
