The Monumental Tour set down its decks on Nancy's Place Stanislas, an exceptional date marking the opening of the European Heritage Days. It also marked the 40th anniversary of the inclusion of Place Stanislas, Place de la Carrière and Place d'Alliance in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Over 20,000 people attended the event.

Discover the magnificence of Place Stanislas in Nancy
The square was commissioned by the former King of Poland Stanislas Leszczyński (1677-1766) in 1751 in honour of his son-in-law Louis XV. The construction ended in 1755 after 4 years of work. Stanislas' purpose was to link the medieval old town of Nancy and the new town built under Charles III in the 17th century.
