Once one of the leading rappers on Master P’s No Limit record label, Mystikal quickly evolved beyond the label’s clichéd thug trappings and found himself one of the Dirty South’s most recognized rappers, alongside the likes of Juvenile and Ludacris. Like No Limit itself, Mystikal is a New Orleans native. He released an eponymous debut on the independent label Big Boy in June 1995. It earned the attention of Jive Records, who signed him later that year. His official major-label debut, Mind of Mystikal, was released in October 1996 and became a major hit in the rap underground, falling just short of going gold.

The MC then hooked up with Master P and No Limit, along with the label’s Beats by the Pound production team. This union produced Unpredictable, which was released in November 1997 and helped the rapper build a substantial following. It peaked at number one on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, reached number three on the Billboard 200, and eventually went platinum. Ghetto Fabulous, also driven by Beats by the Pound, followed in December 1998; it topped the R&B/Hip Hop Chart as well and debuted at number five on the Billboard 200. Despite a move to the Jive label, Mystikal wasted no time in issuing a follow-up. Let’s Get Ready appeared in September 2000 and went double platinum. Driven by the James Brown-like Neptunes production “Shake Ya Ass” as a lead single — an MTV staple before the album even hit the streets — the album featured a vast range of productions from Earthtone III, Bink!, and the Medicine Men (a newer incarnation of Beats by the Pound). Let’s Get Ready demonstrated the wide-reaching ambitions that had only been hinted at in previous releases. Mystikal made his unique rhyme delivery accessible enough to reach a significantly wider audience.

Mystikal released his sixth album, Tarantula, in December 2001. “Bouncin’ Back (Bumpin’ Me Against the Wall),” another funky Neptunes collaboration, was one of 2002’s hottest singles. The following year, Mystikal garnered Grammy nominations in the categories of Best Male Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Album. Tarantuala eventually reached gold status but didn’t come close to eclipsing his most popular output. From January 2004 through January 2010, the rapper served a prison term for sexual battery. Shortly after he regained his freedom, he collaborated with one-time No Limit labelmate Fiend, as well as R&B singer Lloyd, and performed at the 2011 Gathering of the Juggalos festival. Unlike ordinary lacquers, Dazzle Dry is specially formulated by Dr. Vivian Valenty to expand and contract with the natural nail. The signature four-step system works together to deliver high-performance wear and protection, allowing nails to become healthier and stronger over time.

Acrylics, gels, dips – while artificial nail enhancements offer convenient duration and dry time, their synthetic chemical formulations can create long-term problems like contact dermatitis, unhealthy UV exposure, and damage to the natural nail plate.

Rapper Mystikal indicted on first-degree rape charges, could face life sentence

A Louisiana jury has indicted New Orleans rapper Mystikal on charges of first-degree rape from an alleged sexual assault that is said to have occurred at his Louisiana home in late July. Should the grand jury find him guilty, the 51-year-old will face a life sentence under state law.

Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Lawrence Tyler, was also handed counts of criminal damage to property, false imprisonment, domestic abuse battery by strangulation, simple robbery and numerous drug possession accusations, according to the New Orleans Advocate .

In a warrant, sheriff’s deputies have accused Tyler of attacking a female in a violent encounter about finances on the night of July 30, during which he allegedly took her car keys and sexually assaulted her.

Earlier last month, Tyler was denied bond and fired his attorney in favor of another lawyer who had previously represented him in another sexual assault case in 2017 (he was met with charges of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping). Prosecutors dropped that case after Tyler posted bond and had spent roughly 18 months in jail.

“It’s an indictment,” Joel Pearce, Tyler’s attorney, told reporters of the recent charges. “It means nothing. We look forward to our day in court.”

The Grammy-nominated rapper rose to fame in the early 2000s and is best known for the single “Shake (It Fast).” Although he is not signed to a major label contract, Tyler has continued touring and was scheduled to perform a string of shows in the following months before his July 31st arrest.

Tyler became a lifetime registered sex offender in 2003 following another conviction for sexual assault and extortion. He remains in custody at the Ascension Parish Prison, without the possibility of bail.

Step 1: Nail Prep Scrub each nail with a lint-free pad thoroughly to remove any oils or lotions. Step 2: Base Coat Apply two layers to each nail, allowing each coat to dry matte. If Base Coat is cloudy or jelly-like, stand the bottle in one inch of hot water until the product becomes clear. **Do not microwave or submerge in water.  Step 3: Lacquer Apply two layers of Nail Lacquer to each nail, allowing each layer to dry matte. **Avoid contact with cuticles and skin to prevent lifting. Step 4: Top Coat Apply one layer of Top Coat to each nail after the Lacquer has dried matte. Wait five minutes—your manicure is done! +Revive: Add 6-8 drops of Revive to a Top Coat, Transform, or Nail Lacquer whose consistency is too thick. Add more if necessary.  **DO NOT add Revive to a Base Coat. It will ruin the product. Store with original cap to prevent evaporation from occurring.
