What you need to know about PBA On Tour

  • Sid Ventura

Just weeks after concluding its 2022-23 season, the PBA is launching a new event called PBA On Tour, a series of games featuring all 12 teams playing in smaller venues mostly in Metro Manila and surrounding provinces. But what is it exactly? From testing new rules, to filling a gap in the schedule, to trying out free agents here is everything you need to know about this summer series.

How long will the "tour" run and how often will games be played?

The tour kicked off on May 21 and will run until July 30. Each team will play the other 11 teams once. There will be no playoffs or championship series. Games will follow the usual PBA schedule of two games on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and one game on Saturday. The Wednesday-Friday-Sunday schedule will feature a double-header at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. while the Saturday game kicks off at 5:00 p.m.

What are the motivations for doing this?

Aside from filling the gap between seasons -- which at six months will be the league's longest offseason in history -- there are two major objectives: First, it will allow teams to test free agents, 3x3 players and potential rookies, as well as give them more time to integrate new acquisitions into their scheme of things. Second, it will give the league a chance to test 11 proposed rule changes. The rundown of these 11 rule changes is pretty extensive and can be found here . But the most significant change is the introduction of the coach's challenge. Under this proposal, a head coach can challenge certain calls once each half as long as the team still has a full timeout. If the challenge is unused in the first half, it cannot be carried over to the second half. Other proposed changes include new rules on the take foul, excessive timeouts, goal tending, and game clock operation at the end of the first, second and third quarters.

Who's playing and not playing for the teams?

Several teams are testing out their 3x3 players and potential rookies. Among the 3x3 players are John Apacible, Leo De Vera Chester Saldua and Marvin Lee of San Miguel Beer; Tzaddy Rangel, Pedrito Galanza and Dominic Fajardo of NLEX Road Warriors; Jpseh Eriobu of Magnolia Hotshots; and Jebb Bulawan, Wendel Comboy and Jan Sobrevega of NorthPort Batang Pier.

Players fresh out of college are also seeing action, the most prominent of which is Fran Yu of the Letran Knights, who is playing for his college coach Bonnie Tan at NorthPort. His Letran teammate Tom Olivario is also listed on the Batang Pier roster. There's also Daniel Atienza, formerly of the NU Bulldogs Team B, getting run time under former NU coach Jamike Jarin with the Phoenix Fuel Masters, and San Beda Red Lions Peter Alfaro, Damie Cuntapay, JV Gallego and Clifford Jopia, who are part of the TNT Tropang Giga's roster.

Understandably, many regular starters haven't seen action yet, as coaches are opting to play second stringers and newcomers. SEA Games gold medalists CJ Perez of SMB and Chris Newsome of the Meralco Bolts were present but in street clothes during their respective teams' opening games, as were Javee Mocon of Phoenix and June Mar Fajardo of SMB.

Not all stars will be playing, however, as some are either recuperating from injuries or concentrating on Gilas duties. Some veterans missing from the lineups: Roi Sumang and Arvin Tolentino of NorthPort; Jayson Castro, RR Pogoy and Mikey Williams of TNT; Scottie Thompson, Japeth Aguilar and Jamie Malonzo of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel; and Vic Manuel and Chris Ross of SMB.

Where are they playing and are there tickets?

The venues in Metro Manila include Ynares Pasig, Ynares Antipolo, Caloocan Sports Complex, and the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan. The provincial stops are the Batangas Coliseum, Tiaong in Quezon, Baliuag in Bulacan, and Dumaguete. The good news for fans is that admission is free.

What's up next for the Philippines basketball scene during and after this?

Plenty of basketball. Gilas will practice in June as it prepares for a European training camp in July. PBA On Tour will end 26 days before the FIBA World Cup kicks off on August 25.

After the World Cup ends on Sept. 10 and before the Hangzhou Asian Games on Sept. 23, the league will hold its rookie combine and rookie draft.

The league's 48th season will open after the Asian Games, which end on Oct. 10. Only two conferences will be played, but it's not yet clear if the Governors' Cup or Commissioner's Cup will join the Philippine Cup. This and other issues will be decided by the PBA Board during their annual planning session at the end of May.

After years of speculation, Oasis have confirmed they will reunite for 14 live shows in summer 2025, with demand for tickets set to be huge and now we know just how much fans will need to she;l out for each date.

It has been 15 years since brothers Liam and Neil last shared a stage, with the Brit pop legends' last gig being back in August 2009 at V Festival but now, fans' prayers have come true as the feuding siblings and their bandmates will head out on the road for a reunion tour that will kick off at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff and also head to Edinburgh, Dublin, Wembley and of course their home town of Manchester.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale at 9am on Saturday, August 31, with fans already stressing about ticket websites crashing, due to the sheer amount of people who'll want to get some. And the other thing thoughts have turned to is just how much a ticket to see Oasis in 2025 will cost.

The Manchester Evening News reports that prices are set to start at upwards of £100, which, sadly is the norm for big stadium and arena gigs in the current climate. All ticket prices, are set to be announced on Thursday, 29 August, two days before going on sale.

This year marks 30 years since the release of Oasis' iconic debut album Definitely Maybe, which Liam has been playing in its entirety at his recent solo shows, with him being one of the main attractions at Leeds and Reading over Bank Holiday weekend. Oasis' debut includes classics like Rock n Roll Star and Live Forever, while famous follow up (What's the Story) Morning Glory features the still anthemic Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger and Champagne Supernova.

For Oasis tickets keep an eye out on Ticketmaster here , as well as gigsandtours, com and seetickets.com . Tickets for the Dublin shows will go on sale at 8am on Saturday, with the rest at 9am. There is also set to be a pre-sale at some point on Friday, but just when that will happen is still uncertain, as many fans face an anxious wait to see if they can get into the balloot.

Oasis reunion tour: Ticket prices, Levi's and how much the band is going to make

By lee vowell | aug 30, 2024.

Oasis at Wembley

Not that Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher were hurting for money before, but if they needed an uptick in income, they chose the right way to do it. The brothers Gallagher of Oasis announced earlier this week they would be doing a regional tour - regional to the UK and Ireland currently - in the summer of 2025. According to The Sun , the band is going to make a lot of money from the tour.

The Sun guesses that Oasis could pull in as much as $65,890,000 (50 million pounds) for each show. That means if the group sticks at its current run of 17 gigs, Oasis would make $1,120,130,000 (849,870,634 pounds). Of course, they cannot keep all that. They have to pay for the venue and crew and taxes. Still, that is a lot of money.

Oasis could be in to make even more. There have been several reports that the group has been asked by various streaming services, such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, to make a movie of the reunion tour. That would likely bring in another tens of millions, if not more. A documentary being made seems like a no-brainer at this point as fellow Britpop greats Blur did that with a doc of their recent Wembley shows.

How much is Oasis making from their reunion tour?

But the Gallaghers are not done making money. Levi's released a new collection of Oasis T-shirts on the day the tour was announced. The shirts feature various logos, including a Maine Road football pitch, the Decca Logo, and a Union Jack logo. The shirts retail for $40 and one can assume the band was paid well for them to OK the making of the shirts.

At least, the band is gouging fans with ticket prices. They are not cheap, of course, but they are not Taylor Swift expensive either. Tickets for the shows begin at around $98 (74.25 pounds). Sure, one could pay more if they like - a ticket for the pre-show party at Wembley costs $668 (506.25 pounds), for example - but one doesn't have to get a new mortgage to afford an Oasis ticket.

The positive part of all of this is that the boys are back. At least, for a short time.

Thousands of Oasis fans have been left empty handed after struggling to nab tickets to the group’s 2025 reunion tour.

Soon after tickets went on sale in Ireland, fans began reporting that sites including Ticketmaster had “crashed”, sharing screenshots that appeared to show error messages just as they were about to purchase a ticket.

The Britpop legends said they had all sold out by 7pm on Saturday night ten hours after tickets for the 17 show tour went on sale.

Oasis then issued a warning against reselling tickets at inflated prices on websites not linked to their promoter, saying they will be “cancelled”. Moments after the presale on Friday, some tickets were listed for thousands of pounds on secondary ticketing sites such as StubHub and Viagogo.

A recent message distributed by Ticketmaster to people still queuing read: “There are currently no Oasis tickets available. Please check back later as more may be released.”

The British rock band announced their long-awaited reunion on Tuesday (27 August), with brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher set to join one another onstage for the first time since their split in 2009.

The band announced additional dates in Manchester, London and Edinburgh earlier this week, due to overwhelming demand.

Oasis fans stuck in queues told no more shows left

Britpop legends Oasis have sold out there 17 show reunion tour in just ten hours. Disapointed fans in the queue have been told: “There are currently no Oasis tickets available. Please check back later as more may be released.”

Former Oasis drummer Tony McCarroll speaks out on reunion tour

Tony McCarroll, the former Oasis drummer who sued the Gallagher brothers after he was sacked from the band in 1995, has spoken out about the band’s reunion tour for the first time .

The musician, who is often referred to as the “forgotten drummer” has said he is “happy” for the brothers.

MP accuses Ticketmaster of fleecing fans with dynamic pricing adding more than £200 for ‘in demand’ tickets

An MP has spoken out on Ticketmaster’s “insulting” dynamic pricing which has seen Oasis fans finally get to the front of the queue charged £355 for a ticket originally priced at £135.

David Baines, Labour MP for St Helens posted on X: “After rightly criticising those who got presale tickets and then immediately tried to resell them for huge profits, it’s shocking to hear that @TicketmasterUK are now using ‘dynamic pricing’ to fleece fans & rake in the cash.

“Especially insulting for those who have queued all day.”

Labour MP Zarah Sultana simply posted: “Nationalise Ticketmaster” after the website crashed 3 hours into her queue.

Ticketmaster currently tells those desperate fans of the Britpop icons patiently waiting in the queue: “Tickets for Oasis are still available, but inventory is now limited and not all ticket prices are available.”

While Ticketmaster, which is owned by Live Nation - an American entertainment company - usually gets the flak for increasing the prices, these pricing structures are usually only possible with the approval of the artists.

Taylor Swift reportedly didn’t take up the option of employing dynamic pricing for similar arena gigs in the UK.

Ryan Coogan looks at how the Ticketmaster unfolded today.

People are pretty mad at Ticketmaster et al, but in the companies’ defence, how could they possibly have known that people would want to use their websites for the services they offer? What are they, psychic?

Oasis fans have said trying to secure accessible tickets for Wembley an ‘impossible task'

Fans requesting accessible tickets were advised to call a phone number for the Wembley concerts – but most have been left disappointed and frustrated.

Frances Mobbs said trying to get accessible tickets for her son was an “impossible task”.

Mrs Mobbs, from Norfolk, wanted to buy four tickets for her son Nick Mobbs, 41, his carer and two family members, for the concert on 26 July.

She sent through supporting documents for the accessible tickets and tried to call repeatedly for two hours when the phone line opened.

“My son has been a fan from day one, like millions of other people, of course, we’re trying to get tickets,” she said.

“I know I’m one of thousands and thousands and thousands of people, but there’s one dedicated phone line which is constantly engaged or saying we are unable to complete your call.

“I’ve been calling for two hours, I keep repeating and repeating.

“It’s frustrating, totally and utterly frustrating.”

Dublin tickets sold out

At 1.23 pm, the website posted a message saying: “UPDATE: There are currently no tickets available. Please check back later as more may be released.”

Ticketmaster’s Irish site told Oasis fans that all of the tickets currently released for the band’s gigs at Dublin’s Croke Park have sold out.

One unsuccessful fan describes experience of being kicked-out of Ticketmaster queue

Scott McLean, 28, logged into Ticketmaster at 7.30am on Saturday ahead of Irish sales opening at 8am.

He was in a queue of 20,000 for around 30 minutes before selecting four tickets to see the band’s show at Croke Park.

However, his browser began buffering for half an hour as he tried to make the purchase, prompting him to contact the Ticketmaster customer service account on X/Twitter, for advice.

“I followed their advice, cleared my cookies and cache on my browser and then it kicked me out completely. It just came up to that error screen after I followed their guidance,” McLean told the PA news agency.

“I had to rejoin the queue and I ended up about 700,000 places worse off after following their guidance.”

He said he feels “frustration and anger, not much more than that”, adding: “It’s just tickets for a concert after all, but I really wanted to go.”

A success story...

A woman who has been a fan of Oasis for 10 years said she is “over the moon” to have secured two tickets for the band’s reunion tour and urged others “don’t give up”.

Isabelle Doyle, 21, from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, was among the few thousands of people who received a pre-sale code and secured two tickets on Friday for Wembley for £150 each.

“I sat in my living room, booted up Ticketmaster and I was about 5,000 in the queue. I was in the queue for about 40 minutes and managed to get two seated tickets for Wembley,” the barista told the PA news agency.

“I’m over the moon. I’ve been a fan of Oasis for about 10 years now, literally since I was 11 years old. Finally to be able to see them after they got me through as a teenager, it’s absolutely amazing and I’m so excited.”

She urged fans trying to buy tickets on Saturday to “keep going”.

Oasis reunion live: Tickets officially sold out - as fans complain about surge in prices

Tickets have now sold out for the Oasis reunion tour that will see Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite fifteen years after their band split. The band will play 17 shows across London, Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin as part of the Oasis Live 25 world tour.

Saturday 31 August 2024 19:47, UK

Ask a question or make a comment

Following on from our last post, Oasis fans have begun reacting to the fact tickets can only be resold at face value.

Taking aim at Ticketmaster's 'dynamic pricing' - which can increase the price of tickets based on demand - one fan questioned whether the value for a floor standing ticket was £150 or £350.

Another fan wrote: "Face value unless it's on Ticketmaster? Time to look back in anger."

While a third added: "Face value is whatever the ticket was bought for. If the ticket was bought for £150, it's £150. If it was bought for £350, it's £350."

Fans have complained about the hike in ticket price throughout the afternoon, after some ticket prices more than doubled - pushed up by huge demand.

The demand-based system was implemented by Ticketmaster in 2022 which it said was intended to stop touts and give more money to the artists themselves.

The company said earlier today that it does not set prices, and shared a link to its website where it says costs can be "fixed or market-based".

Tickets for the Oasis Live '25 Tour are officially sold out, according to the band.

A post on the Oasis X account issued a third warning about counterfeit and void tickets appearing on unapproved resale websites.

It said tickets can only be resold on Ticketmaster and resale website Twickets and for face value.

It's difficult to portray how big Oasis were if you didn't live through it, with no British guitar band matching their status since.

Here are five reasons that show their appeal then and now...

According to the NME, Oasis have sold more than 75 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time. They had eight UK number-one singles and eight UK number-one albums. Their biggest album - (What's The Story) Morning Glory? - sold 22 million copies and is the fifth-biggest-selling album in British chart history, behind greatest hit compliations from Queen and Abba, plus Adele's 21 and The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Newsworthiness

The brothers' fractious relationship made them big news in the mid-90s. They were arguably second only to Princess Diana for the frequency with which they appeared on the front of the tabloids. Their rivalry with Blur, which peaked when the bands released singles Country House and Roll With It on the same day, making television news bulletins on the BBC and here at Sky News.

It is said that 4% of the UK population applied for tickets to the band's two shows at Knebworth in 1996. The lucky 250,000 saw concerts that are still talked about today - but Oasis could have sold out another 18 times.

Downing Street

A sign of the Gallaghers' influence came with an invitation to Downing Street in 1997 by  then new prime minister Tony Blair, who was riding on a wave of so-called Cool Britannia.

Wonderwall was the first 90s song to reach one billion streams on Spotify, while Radio 2 last year had Morning Glory and Definitely Maybe as the top two most-streamed albums from the 1990s. The popularity of hits such as Don't Look Back In Anger has endured for several generations, becoming an anthem in the wake of the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017.

"I think it’s a calmer Liam Gallagher now," Dominic Mohan, former editor of The Sun, has told Sky News while discussing how he thinks the upcoming gigs will go.

He said the band appeared to have matured and said Liam "describes himself as Zen-like," adding: "I think he's very professional and they'll make it work."

Reminiscing about how the band used to act in their heyday, he said: "If you think back to the 90s, you never really knew which Liam you were going to get.

"I remember going to Tokyo to see the band and bumping into Liam in a hotel bar, and he talked to me for two hours about the birth of his child, and it was a very poignant interview, but at the end of it, he threw a pint of Guinness at me.

"So it's that sort of dichotomy really, of him back then."

He added: "He was only in his early 20s when Oasis exploded. So for the last 30 years, he hasn't really had to grow up.

"But I think over the past few years he's had a little reflecting and this is the moment he has craved, getting back on stage with Oasis."

Mr Mohan said he was still in the queue for tickets, adding: "I would hope to be there whether or not it can live up to the glory days of Knebworth… but it’ll be a great night out."

While Oasis fans are seeing prices above £350 for tickets, it's far from the first time fans have felt the pinch when trying to see their favourite artists.

Last year, Bruce Springsteen fans paid upwards of £120 for "rear pitch" standing tickets for his tour, while some expressed disappointment recently over the £145 price tag of standing tickets for Billie Eilish's 2025 UK leg.

And while you could have nabbed Beyonce or Taylor Swift tickets in the UK for £50 (before fees) if you took a "nosebleed" seat, these had limited availability and quickly sold out.

General admission standing tickets for Swift's Eras tour started at £110.40 and those at the front had to shell out £172.25. It didn't stop there - by the time many fans got to the front of the online ticket queue, the only tickets left cost upwards of £300.

So what's behind rising ticket costs? The  Money blog   investigates some of the reasons...

Oasis reuniting is all very well - but which Oasis might we see on stage?

The band went through numerous incarnations after forming in 1991 with Liam, rhythm guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, bassist Paul McGuigan and drummer Tony McCarroll - later being joined by Noel.

So who are the definites and the maybes - and who won't be seeing - in a reformed Oasis?

The only remaining founding member, Liam's snarling vocals brought his brother's songs viscerally to life - and his swagger and unpredictability (quitting a US tour hours before the plane was due to take off, deciding he didn't fancy taking part in a coveted MTV Unplugged session, and getting arrested along with the rhythm section on a ferry to Amsterdam - where the band in their early years had been due to perform a crucial gig to industry bosses) made the band so compelling before it all got a bit tired as the 1990s wore on.

Songwriter Noel is the only other ever-present, if you discount walking out of a few tours here and there, including for three months in 2000 when he was replaced by Mother Earth's Matt Deighton.

Taking over rhythm guitar duties following the departure of Bonehead in 1999, the musician has managed to remain close to both Gallaghers, performing in Liam's Beady Eye post-Oasis and currently a part of Noel's High Flying Birds.

The story goes that original member Bonehead was struggling to abide by Noel's no-alcohol rule as the band tried to recover from the critical mess that was 1997's Be Here Now. When Noel suggested he could be fired, Bonehead was said to have quit. In recent years he has performed with Liam, with the presumption being that he and Noel were not talking  - but, replying to a fan on Twitter last year, the 59-year-old revealed the pair had recently spoken and were on good terms.

Now, the original Oasis bandmember is set to rejoin Noel and Liam Gallagher for their reunion tour - that's according to The Sun.

Maybe

Chris Sharrock

The only other Oasis member to join the brothers in their respective solo projects is Chris Sharrock, who was in Oasis from 2008-09. He seems the most likely presence on drums.

This one seems unlikely - but not impossible. Bassist Bell performed with Liam's Beady Eye but was said to have a frosty relationship with Noel. However, in 2023 Bell's band Ride supported High Flying Birds.

Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan

The founding bassist has rarely been seen in public since he quit the band weeks after Bonehead. According to Noel, Guigsy announced his departure by sending the band a fax. He declined to take part in the Supersonic film in 2016 and in 2019 Liam said: "Not seen him since he left the band and he only lives up the road."

Tony McCarroll

The original drummer was fired in 1995, before the band went from being the next big thing to the biggest band on the planet. There were accusations of bullying but the upgrade in drumming from debut album Definitely Maybe to (What's The Story) Morning Glory? is unquestionable. McCarroll tried to sue Oasis for £18m but settled for £550,000 out of court in March 1999, giving up future royalties.

Oasis's longest-serving drummer, having been recommended to the band by Paul Weller upon McCarroll's sacking in 1995. White was thrown in at the deep end, his debut performance coming on the BBC's iconic Top Of The Pops for the band's first number one, Some Might Say. He was fired in 2004, with the reasons remaining unclear. White has stayed out of the public eye ever since.

Zak Starkey

White's replacement, son of Beatles drummer Ringo, performed with the band from 2004 until 2008. It was reported he fell out with Noel, with his ongoing commitments with The Who a suggested point of tension.

Celebrities and politicians are also struggling to buy tickets for Oasis.

Newsnight host Victoria Derbyshire said she was in the online Ticketmaster queue shortly after the sale began and was still there an hour later.

She tweeted: "Has anyone actually managed to get a ticket today yet?"

Dan Walker, 5 News presenter, wrote: "There has got to be a fairer, simpler, more efficient way of selling tickets that isn't so open to touts, scammers, resellers & bots #Oasis.

"In the queue, out of the queue, refresh / don't refresh, wait in line, back of the line, accused of being a bot ... timed out."

Zarah Sultana, Labour MP for Coventry South, shared screenshots of her trying to get two passes for a show at London's Wembley Stadium on Ticketmaster, before her session was "suspended" by the site.

She said she had a "three hour wait for Oasis tickets and Ticketmaster crashes".

"Nationalise Ticketmaster," she added.

A woman has offered her garden up to Oasis fans struggling to find a hotel room near their gig in Manchester - providing they can get her a ticket.

Olivia Bridge tweeted to say she lives near Heaton Park, adding: "If you're an Oasis fan and don't want to fork out £100s for a place to kip, you can camp in my garden. For free."

She said: "The only condition is that you get a ticket for me too. I'll pay for it, and I'll even throw in brews, breakfast and a driveway.

"This is actually a serious offer! I've got my parents and pals all at the ready for Saturday 9am, but anything to increase my chances."

She later tweeted to say she had managed to snag her Oasis ticket, but said she "can’t let The Internet and the 100s of new fellow fans I’ve met in the weirdest 48 hours of my life down" and so was "committing to the bit".

"Garden plan on," she said.

Fans have been complaining about being struck with higher prices for "in demand" tickets.

They have shared screenshots showing the tickets, which should start at £151.25 without booking fees, going for £356.80.

Ticketmaster implemented a new pricing system in 2022 which can increase the price of tickets based on demand.

It said the move was intended to stop touts and give more money to the artists themselves.

On its site Ticketmaster says: "In Demand Tickets are tickets offering sought after views and seats from Ticketmaster. The prices are adjusted according to supply and demand.

"The goal is to give fans fair and safe access to the best tickets while enabling artists and other people involved in staging live events to price tickets closer to their true market value."

Oasis followers have slammed the practice, with one calling it "absolutely shameful" and another saying "you are no better than the touts".

Official resale website Twickets has told fans not to "panic" after some were booted out of online ticket retailer queues.

The company tweeted: "If you haven't secured @oasis tickets then don't panic, and certainly don't buy on unofficial sites such as Viagogo & StubHub as these tickets will be cancelled.

"Twickets will have tickets available soon. Register to receive our newsletter and we'll let you know."

Oasis fans have been left fuming after the band revealed the prices for their upcoming tour.

Liam and Noel Gallagher stunned their fans this week by announcing their long standing feud had finally come to an end. The famous brothers are ready to reunite and join the stage together for the first time since 2009. They will perform 17 dates across the UK and Ireland next year as they kick off their comeback.

Oasis Live 25 tour will begin in Cardiff and end in Dublin. Today, the band announced three more dates - Heaton Park on July 16th, Wembley July 30th and Edinburgh on August 12th . Now, ticket prices have finally been confirmed and fans aren't too happy about the staggering cost of them.

One fan penned: "Those Oasis ticket prices, the touts are going to make a killing." "I'm so disappointed in prices, bro I remember Liam going on about how Blur tickets cost a grand, what the f is this?" fumed another. While a third added: "Who with any sense would pay for those Oasis ticket prices?" Another typed: "Just seen GA ticket prices for Oasis and want to throw up!" "Just seen the proposed ticket prices for Oasis. Absolutely scandalous," fumed another. "Those Oasis ticket prices are nothing short of a disgrace. Low wage earners, students, kids etc increasingly being priced out of live concerts featuring big names," commented another angry X user.

Fans had feared there would be no pre-sale access as it wasn't confirmed until Tuesday evening. However, many have encountered problems with email confirmations not arriving in their inbox. Oasis had to issue an urgent message yesterday as they said: "We are aware that many of you are still waiting on a confirmation email. Rest assured they are on their way, as we process an unprecedented volume of entries. Everyone who has filled out the ballot form by 7pm BST today, Wednesday 28th August, will receive an email where they can confirm their entry in the ballot."

Oasis gave fans a chance to enter a pre-sale ballot, which was open for just 24 hours. It closed at 7pm on Wednesday and along with providing contact details fans also had to answer a question correctly. They were asked: "Who was the drummer in the initial Oasis line up?" Multiple choice answers given were: Chris Sharrock, Tony McCarroll and Alan White. The correct answer is Tony McCarroll, who was in the band up until his exit in 1995.

Those who are successful in the ballot will have early access to try and get tickets for Oasis' dates at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, Manchester's Heaton Park, London's Wembley Stadium, Murrayfield in Edinburgh or Dublin's Croke Park. General ticket sale starts at 9am on Saturday for the UK dates and 8am for the dates in Ireland.
