Bought one years ago. I highly recommend if you have a little one who likes to snack in the car. Mine loved milk and apples in the snack compartment. The snack compartment is large enough to fit almost an entire large apple. I think I paid $14.99 for mine, but it really is well worth it for as much as what we are in the car.

Snackeez Snack And Drink Cup

Snackeez is a new product on the market – a snack pot and drink cup in one. It’s the kind of thing I can imagine was dreamt up at a cocktail party, when someone was holding their champagne glass and serviette of finger foods in one hand, while shaking hands and hobnobbing with their free hand.

The Snackeez Snack pot is a three-part construction: the standard reusable drinks pot, that you fill up to the top of the cupholder, with a pot that fits inside. It has a flip top lid and a movable and removable straw – ideal for washing up.

The pot fits inside the cup, screwing tightly in so that there (doesn’t appear to be!) any leakage, unless you tip it upside down and liquid gets in the straw.

While the snack pot looks quite small from the outside, it holds a substantial amount of snackage. As you can see in the picture I had a fair portion of grapes and a whole clementine in there, and there’s plenty of room to spare.

When would you use the Snackeez Snack and Drink Cup?

I use mine when I’m leaving the gym. I go to the gym after dropping my children in the morning, so they’ve been up, gotten dressed, had breakfast and we’ve driven a half hour to anywhere, then I go to the gym and aside from coffee and maybe a small snack, I’ve not eaten anything yet. I finish in the gym around 10:30 or 11, and by that time I can be light headed and  starving.  It’s really hard then, to walk past the cafe (who decided it was a good idea to sell cakes in the gym? Is that their way of making sure you come back?!) and  not buy something.

Now, I keep the Snackeez pot in the car with fresh water or smoothie and some nuts or other fruit in the snack pot.

The flip top lid makes it easy to get the fruit out while I’m driving, since I don’t have to take both hands off the wheel to open it.

My children also like using it for their pretend picnics – I guess it’s the novelty factor, but it means they’re drinking water and enjoying healthy snacks.

What don’t we like about the Snackeez Snack and Drink Pot?

I love the flip top lid when I’m driving, but it does mean I can’t put the cup in my handbag and you can’t put it in the kids’ lunch box, because it doesn’t seal. If they could find a way to make it sealable, it would be superb for an on-the-go lunch idea.

It’s not suitable for hot drinks, so I can’t put coffee in it. I have a problem with anything I can’t put coffee in!

It’ll be good come summer though – iced coffees are so refreshing!

Things To Consider When Buying Travel Coffee Mugs

Size and Capacity

According to Erin Doern, head of product development for Free Rein Coffee, popular sizes for travel mugs range between 16 and 30 ounces. “If you prefer iced coffee, you might want a slightly larger tumbler to accommodate ice,” Doern advises.

For those who plan to take their mug on a long morning commute, Doern recommends choosing a travel coffee mug large enough to hold your full morning coffee. “Alternatively, if you prefer refilling more often throughout the day, a smaller tumbler may be more suitable,” she says.

If you intend to use your travel coffee mug in the car, double-check that the model you choose is designed to fit cupholders. Some large-capacity coffee mugs have wide bottoms that are not cupholder-friendly, and smaller coffee mugs with handles may not fit either.

Insulation 

Research has shown that people tend to prefer drinking hot coffee at a temperature of about 140 degrees Fahrenheit. No matter how hot or cold you like your drinks, a good travel mug should be able to retain their temperature for as long as possible – that’s where the insulation features come into play.

Insulation will vary by construction and materials. According to Nyamumbo, stainless steel is most effective at insulation, as it’s typically the material found in double-walled, vacuum-insulated coffee mugs.

“In double-walled, vacuum-insulated tumblers, air is removed between the two walls to minimize heat transfer, keeping your beverage hot or cold for up to 24 hours,” explains Doern.

Leak Prevention

If you plan to carry your travel mug in a backpack or work bag, look for a design that prevents leaks. Keep in mind that leakproof is not always the same as spillproof – the former typically refers to mugs that won’t leak while the lid is sealed, while the latter might describe mugs that prevent splashes while you’re drinking from them.

“Key features for leak prevention include a well-designed lid with secure locking mechanisms, such as snap-on or screw-on closures and rubber or silicone seals,” says Doern. “Additionally, consider models with spill-proof designs, such as flip-tops and locking lids.”

While straws can be handy for sipping, keep in mind that travel coffee mugs or tumblers with straws are often more prone to leaks than those without straws because there’s no easy way to seal them shut.

Doern also recommends prioritizing models with easy-to-clean components because they are often more likely to be leak-resistant or leakproof than those that are more difficult to disassemble and clean.

The type of beverage you prefer can determine which lid type best suits your needs. “For hot drinks, you want a sipping mechanism that prevents spilling and also traps the liquid without exposing it to cold temperatures,” says Nyamumbo. “For iced drinks, you want a lid that can control the movement of ice. Built-in straws or straw-compatible lids give you flexibility.”

If you like drinking both hot and iced beverages, look for a lid that has a sipping mechanism and minimizes the heat from escaping, but can also accommodate a straw. This gives you the option to use one mug for hot or cold beverages instead of buying two different travel mugs.

Some brands offer swappable lids for an additional price, allowing you to change out the lid type based on your beverage. For example, one lid might have a flip-up straw and another might have a wide mouth opening or sport top.

Handle or No Handle

While the choice between a handle or no handle mainly comes down to personal preference, there are still a few practical considerations to take into account.

“Portability and comfort are key factors to consider when choosing a tumbler with or without a handle,” says Doern. “Mugs without handles are generally more compact, making them easier to fit into car cupholders, backpack pockets, or tote bags. On the other hand, tumblers with handles can be easier to carry and more comfortable to grip, especially if you’re juggling other items.”

If you do opt for a travel mug with a handle, Nyamumbo recommends one that’s placed higher up on the mug so it can still fit a cupholder. If you’re able to shop in person, try picking up a few different travel mugs so you can compare the comfort in your hand.

What The Snack ?! – 6 Great Snacks To Enjoy With A Moscow Mule

Just imagine…it’s a nice summer evening…you have a couple of friends over. You prepared a little nice spot in the backyard with a table and some comfy chairs. You sit together and talk about all the cool stories that happened in the past…all the crazy stuff you’ve been through together – “oh remember that one time…” – and the plans you have in the future. There is a nice summer breeze. You picked the Moscow Mule as the go-to drink for that evening. So basically everything is perfect. But there is always a point when that little stomach of yours says “hey man I need some material down here”. And that’s the point when you look for some snacks around the house. You will probably find something, but it will be much more satisfying if you thought about it beforehand and prepared something awesome. I was in that situation way too many times. And that’s exactly the reason that when I plan a night with my friends, I always have a Snack-Plan! A Snack-Plan is easy and it is effective. And it is much more satisfying than some peanuts, which you have around the house.

Kettle Potato Chips

This is a no-brainer. Potato chips…a classic and so many flavors to choose from. Everyone has his or hers favorite brand, but if you didn’t try Chips from Kettle…Boy you’re missing out. I discovered them half a year ago and this is the only brand I am buying chips from. Especially on Amazon you can get them at a great price since you’re getting several packs in on buy. This also how you always have a safe snack-pack at home for the next time your friends are over. The variety of flavors is the most important thing about a chips brand, of course after the taste. But if it comes to taste you won’t be disappointed when it comes to Kettle chips. I tried almost every flavor and the one I can highly recommend are Avocado Oil Himalayan Salt and Jalapeño ! These flavors go especially great with Moscow Mule, since they are not overpowering the Ginger Beer. If you wanna try something special get yourself a pack of Moscow Mule favored ones. I bought them out of fun and didn’t expect much, but they are actually quite nice! Fruity and gingery taste, not exactly like a Moscow Mule, but I actually liked them!

Goat Cheese Toasts

This one is so easy to make and gives you a nice feeling of a gourmet snack. Get some toasts or a baguette. Get some goat cheese. Put the cheese on the bread. 5 minutes into the oven and it’s done. Amazing and delicious!

Gummy Bears

Gummy Bears…do I have to say more? I mean this brings you straight back to your childhood days and you can snack them like nothing else. Cheap, everyone likes them and every bear has another flavor. HARIBO Gummy Bears is my favorite brand, but you can basically get them from any other brand as well. I also found these Moscow Mule favored Gummy Bears and just had to include them as well. They actually come quite close to the Moscow Mule taste and are something different. Give them a go!

This one is more a meal than a snack. But if you don’t eat a bunch of them they are also nice to satisfy that little hunger in between. This is also my got to favorite especially if it is still early in the evening. Get our phone order some nice Sushi and you have it half an hour later on the table without doing anything. Why I especially like Sushi is because it doesn’t leave any flavor after you eat it in your mouth and you still can taste your drink in its full glory. I know Sushi is not for everyone, but if you like think about it the next time you enjoy some drinks at your place!

Nachos & Guacamole

Nachos & Guacamole…I simply love this! And usually eat way too much and regret it afterwards… Actually not really! You simply can’t have enough Nachos & Guacamole in your life! Grab some Avocados and a pack of Nachos and you’re good to go. Making Guacamole might be a little hustle, but be honest it is worth it. I also highly recommend the Avocado Slicer as singly the best invention in the avocado business! That tool lets you make Guacamole ten times faster and easier.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Popcorn Bucket Guide: All Merch at AMC, Regal & Cinemark & More Theaters

AMC, Regal, Cinemark, and more theater chains are embracing the popcorn bucket trend for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice .

From Dune: Part Two 's slightly lewd sandworm buckets to Deadpool & Wolverine 's Logan-mouth bucket, 2024 has had no shortage of merchandise from major theater chains. This will continue through the rest of the year with the next film in line being Tim Burton's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice .

This sequel will see Jenna Ortega join franchise mainstays Michael Keaton and Catherine O'Hara 36 years after the events of the original 1988 horror/comedy.

Beetlejuice 2: Where To Buy AMC's Popcorn Buckets & Merch

AMC Theatres offers a popcorn bucket modeled after the Handbook for the Recently Deceased , a fictional guide to the afterlife which was first seen early in the original Beetlejuice movie.

Additionally, the chain will have an AMC exclusive GRIPPR® cup modeled after the white and black suit Michael Keaton's Beetlejuice wears in both films. The cup also comes with one of at least four different mystery toppers.

The cup and the bucket together reportedly cost $35 USD, although individual prices for each are not listed yet.

Also available is a bundle called The Showtime Snack Pack, which includes a large popcorn, two large drinks, and two candies. The popcorn comes in a Beetlejuice -labeled popcorn bucket, and buyers can also select one of two movie-themed drinks.

Beetlejuice 2: How To Get Regal's Popcorn Buckets and Collectibles

Regal Cinemas has a trio of popcorn buckets available for the film as of August 30 (per Regal ).

One is the Tombstone Collectible Container , which comes in the shape of a tombstone and has skeletons and gargoyles climbing all over it. It also reads, "Here lies Betelgeuse," indicating the home of the titular demonic villain.

Regal joins AMC in selling the Handbook for the Recently Deceased popcorn bucket, which appears to be the same at both locations.

Utilizing the classic worm creatures from the first movie, Regal has another bucket shaped like a sandworm coiled up around itself.

The handbook tin costs $25 while the gravestone has a $40 price tag. While the sandworm bucket's price is not listed yet, it is expected to be similar to the other two.

Regal is also doing a separate giveaway for the gravestone bucket, the winner of which will be announced on Monday, September 9.

Beetlejuice 2: Where To Buy Alamo Drafthouse's Popcorn Bucket

Alamo Drafthouse is also selling the same sandworm bucket found at Regal Cinemas (per TikTok user @toriaalexxis ).

At Alamo, it will come at a $35 price tag.

Beetlejuice 2: Where To Buy Cinemark's Popcorn Buckets

Certain Cinemark locations are already selling various pieces of merchandise for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice .

Cinemark is selling blankets, tins, and drinking cups all adorned with imagery from the new Tim Burton sequel. Also included is a popcorn bucket shaped like a shrunken head and another showing a small version of Beetlejuice rising from the top.

Also available for purchase are sets of cups and a different dome-style cup, amongst other blankets and popcorn buckets.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will debut in theaters on Friday, September 6.

Some of these wild drinks come from different parts of the U.S., offering regional twists on signature drinks. Others, like smoothie sour beers, are the work of creative producers looking to shake up the game. Said to have originated in the Basque region of Spain, the cortado is gaining popularity across coffee shops worldwide. This Spanish coffee beverage is a simple beverage made of warm espresso and steamed milk, creating a velvety, smooth espresso drink to sip on at any time of the day. But what exactly is a cortado, and how does it compare to other espresso beverages? We break it down below. What is a cortado coffee?

A cortado is a warm espresso drink that is made with equal parts warm, steamed milk and espresso. The 1:1 ratio makes this drink smooth and velvety, but it does not contain the milk foam that is found in other Italian espresso drinks. Adding steamed milk on top of the freshly brewed espresso helps to counteract the acidity of the espresso. Understanding what's in a cortado With many espresso beverages on the board, it's fairly easy to get your espresso drinks mixed up since they all have many similarities. Here's what you need to know about the cortado. Is cortado the same as flat white? A cortado and a flat white are not the same. The cortado is smaller in size than a flat white and also has a stronger taste. This is because a cortado has equal parts espresso to steamed milk, whereas a flat white has a ratio of 1 to 2-3 ratio of espresso to steamed milk. Additionally, the cortado has little to no milk foam, whereas the flat white has a larger amount of foam. This is why the flat white has a thicker, creamier consistency to it. Is a cortado one or two shots? A cortado is typically made with two shots of espresso (about two ounces), also known as a double-shot espresso. Considering the average espresso shot contains about 64 milligrams of caffeine, you can expect a cortado to contain about 128 milligrams of caffeine. However, this can vary depending on the type of espresso shots used in the cortado drink. What is a cortado at Starbucks? The cortado hasn't quite yet made it to Starbucks' menu in the U.S., but you can order this new coffee drink if you happen to find yourself at a Starbucks in the U.K. Starbucks makes their cortado with two shots of ristretto espresso, topped with warm, silky milk and served in a 6-ounce cup.
