Stand-up comedian Trevor Noah is all set to embark on his much-anticipated ‘ Off The Record Tour ’ in India. The tour has been extended due to popular demand and will mark his first-ever performance in the country.

Having achieved sold-out shows in the USA and Europe between 2022 and 2023, the ' Off The Record' Tour ' is now set to captivate audiences in Asia, with its first stop in India, followed by Dubai. Trevor Noah, an Emmy Award-winning comedian, will showcase his wit and humour, offering a satirical set that guarantees an evening filled with laughter.

Trevor expressed his excitement, in anticipation of the event, saying, “After a lifetime of loving India’s culture, I’m so excited to finally have the privilege of bringing my current stand-up comedy tour to one of the most exciting countries in the world!"

Trevor Noah, widely known for his insightful take on politics and current events worldwide, has earned accolades for his 12 comedy specials, including the recent 'I Wish You Would' on Netflix, where he humorously shares anecdotes about learning to speak German, modern communication, and his love for curry.

The ‘ Off The Record Tour ', which began in Atlanta on January 20, 2023, will now traverse various venues across India, Asia and the USA. The India Tour is presented by Black Dog Soda and powered by Kotak White Credit Card.

Trevor Noah shows: Dates and venues

BookMyShow Live, the experiential division of BookMyShow, will present Trevor Noah's shows across seven performances during the India leg of the tour.

The shows will kick off at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Delhi-NCR from September 22 to 24, followed by the Manpho Convention Centre in Bengaluru on September 27-28. Finally, Trevor will grace the NSCI Dome in Mumbai on September 30 and October 1, 2023.

The presale of tickets exclusively for Kotak credit card holders will begin on August 1, 2023, at 6 PM IST on the BookMyShow platform. Renowned comedian Trevor Noah is all set to make his debut performance in India as part of his highly anticipated 'Off The Record Tour'. The Emmy Award-winning comedian, known for his insightful take on politics and current events worldwide, will perform live across seven shows in the country. The tour, which began in Atlanta on January 20, has received tremendous success with sold-out shows in the USA and Europe.

The first leg of the India tour will kick off at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Delhi from September 22 to 24. This will be followed by performances at the Manpho Convention Centre in Bengaluru on September 27 and 28. Finally, Noah will grace the stage at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai on September 30 and October 1.

South African stand-up comedian, host and producer Trevor Noah will bring his Off The Record tour to India in September. The renowned comedian will be performing seven shows as part of his first performance in India. The comedian’s visit to the country will be his first stop in Asia.

Trevor will be performing seven shows during the Indian leg of his tour. His shows will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Delhi-NCR on September 22-24, followed by Manpho Convention Centre, Bengaluru on September 27-28, coming to an end with at the NSCI Dome, Mumbai on September 30 and October 1.

Commenting on his India Tour, Trevor said in a statement, “After a lifetime of loving India’s culture, I’m so excited to finally have the privilege of bringing my current stand-up comedy tour to one of the most exciting countries in the world!” BookMyShow Live is producing the tour.

Trevor is known to be fond of Indian culture and has several times mentioned in his gigs about the influence of Indian culture in his life in the formative years. His satirical jokes revolve around the British invasion of India and Indian curries. During his time as the host of The Daily Show, the host brought up several Indian political and socially relevant issues to the limelight. He announced his departure from the show in September 2022 after seven years of association citing his love and eagerness to do more stand-up comedy.

MUMBAI, (IANS) – Comic artiste Trevor Noah is all set to come to India with his ‘Off The Record Tour’ kicking off his Asia tour.

Noah said: “After a lifetime of loving India’s culture, I’m so excited to finally have the privilege of bringing my current stand-up comedy tour to one of the most exciting countries in the world!”

Noah will perform live across seven shows at the India leg of the ‘Off The Record’ Tour, to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Delhi-NCR on September 22-24 followed by Manpho Convention Centre, Bengaluru on September 27 and 28 and finally at the NSCI Dome, Mumbai on September 30 and October 1, 2023.

With sold out-shows through US and Europe between 2022 and 2023, Trevor’s ‘Off The Record’ Tour will travel to Asia, with its first pit stop in India, followed by Dubai.

Noah was the host of The Daily Show. He has won various awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award from 11 nominations. He was named one of “The 35 Most Powerful People in New York Media” by The Hollywood Reporter in 2017 and 2018.

Born in Johannesburg, Noah began his career in South Africa in 2002.

LOS ANGELES − Former " Daily Show " host Trevor Noah wasn't afraid to get political during his Hollywood Bowl stand-up set Saturday night.

And we're not talking about the upcoming presidential election, which he was also asked about during an audience Q&A segment that capped off his nearly two-hour show. No, he waded into more controversial waters: Is he Team Kendrick Lamar or Team Drake ?

After pretending to close the show in an effort avoid such a heated topic, Noah fearlessly planted his flag in Team Kendrick while expertly remaining diplomatic.

"In general, I love both. You can't force me to not love both. I don't live in a binary world; I love Drake's music, I love Kendrick's music," he told crowd.

His answer earned a healthy amount of applause from the LA crowd.

Noah explained, "Drake had some great rhymes. They were fantastic, but they were like, direct, you know? Kendrick was (doing) like, double, triple, quadruple entendre. And if you didn't get it, he was just like, 'I hate how you walk. I hate how you talk.' And I was like, 'Wow, what an effective way of communication.'

"And then he also made them bops as well! It's hard to lose a rap beef when it's that catchy," he added. Earlier in the day, "I didn't even know I was doing it, like, ' They not like us. They not like us .' Then you've won. When people are singing your demise for fun, I think you've lost the rap beef. So: Kendrick."

Saturday night marked the end of the North American leg of Noah's Off the Record tour (and the penultimate night for the nearly two-week long Netflix Is a Joke Fest ), which might have explained his willingness to throw caution to the wind by taking sides.

As the South African comedian said, he "can't be fired now" that he's done performing in the U.S.

Otherwise, Noah stuck to less divisive topics during his set, which started with subjects you simply can't go wrong with when speaking with an LA crowd: weather and traffic.

After an opening set by his longtime friend Wil Sylvince , the visiting New Yorker chastised audience members as he pointed out the passive aggressive way LA drivers don't make eye contact as they screw over fellow drivers.

"I'm trying to come to the show with you!" he said. "People were cutting me off in the traffic."

He discussed his recent travels and bemoaned universally accepted annoyances, like being put on standby on a flight because of an airline's own mistakes. Noah admitted there's a part of his brain that makes him see the humor in the most inappropriate circumstances − and even if it's too soon to find something funny.

"I don’t find everything funny, but I find the funny in everything," Noah said.

Such an instance was when news broke about the missing submersible (the one with five men inside headed to explore the Titanic wreckage but who died when the Titan imploded). The comedian's first thought: "We know there were no Black people involved in this story."

Whether it's a skiing accident, a camping trip gone wrong, a hot air balloon accident, "there were no Black people involved," Noah joked.

"I think Black people inherently live a life that is fraught with danger," he said, later adding, "Anyone who has Africa in their blood, their DNA, you won't seek out unnecessary danger. You can't. That, my friends, is the purview of white men. That is what white men are destined to do. And white men, I'm not shaming you. I'm encouraging you: You keep going, baby."

As he segued into the second half of his set with a sip from a water bottle, Noah was interrupted by someone in the crowd who had a birthday card they wanted to share with Noah, who turned 40 in February.

"She's touching me! It's Dave Chappelle all over again!" he joked as the audience member approached the security-lined stage.

In 2022, during the inaugural Netflix Is a Joke Fest at Hollywood Bowl, a man in the crowd assaulted Chappelle onstage and was later sentenced to prison time.

"I just wanted to see how quick they were. Clearly I'd be dead," Noah said. "Just say it's a birthday card, (and) a person can make it all the way to the stage."

He immediately flung the gift to the side to the stage.

"I'll make sure to take it, but I'm not going to hold it. I like you, but I don't trust you," he told the fan.

"I hope you understand, from my perspective, if I just took every gift people gave me, they're like, 'It's for you!' I'd be like, 'Yeah, pffff,' " he said, making an impression of an explosion. "White comedian, I'd be like, 'Thank you, let's see what it is!' No Black people involved. None."

Chris Gotterup claimed his first win on the PGA TOUR at the inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic, becoming the third PGA TOUR University alum to win on TOUR. Gotterup joins Austin Eckroat who won the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches in March, and Ludvig Åberg who won the 2023 RSM Classic. In all, PGA TOUR University alumni have combined for 19 professional victories since the first class graduated in 2021.

Gotterup held a four-stroke lead heading into the final round, tying the largest lead on TOUR this season through 54 holes. After starting his final round with back-to-back bogeys, Gotterup responded with two birdies and an eagle on the next three holes, and three birdies on the final four holes to win by six shots, the largest margin of victory on TOUR this season. A product of Rutgers and the University of Oklahoma, Gotterup has now registered three consecutive top-25 finishes.

Gotterup earned his TOUR card for the 2024 season after finishing 23rd in the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour season-long standings. With the win, Gotterup earned a two-year exemption on TOUR and a spot in the field this week at the PGA Championship.

In addition to Gotterup, three alums finished in the top 15 at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club. Davis Thompson registered a season-best T2, while Kevin Yu and Mac Meissner finished T4 and T13, respectively.

Åberg, Eckroat and Gotterup will all make their first career appearances at the PGA Championship this week at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

After two weeks off, 17 alumni are in the field at the AdventHealth Championship (May 16-19). Ricky Castillo, Ross Steelman, Sam Bennett, John Pak, William Mouw, Fred Biondi, Trevor Werbylo, Cole Hammer, Yuxin Lin and Connor Howe will make their tournament debuts. Jackson Suber, Logan McAllister, Quade Cummins, Noah Goodwin, Trent Phillips, Garrett Reband and Patrick Welch will make their second career starts at Blue Hills Country Club. Suber and McAllister both posted top-10s at this event last season, finishing T5 and T9 respectively.

Seven alumni are in the field for the Inter Rapídisimo Golf Championship at Club el Rincón de Cajicá in Bogotá, Colombia, the final event of the PGA TOUR Americas Latin America Swing. The top 60 players in the Fortinet Cup standings after the Latin America Swing are fully exempt for the North America Swing. Derek Hitchner, Ben Carr and Mateo Fernandez de Oliveira are safely inside the top 60, while Reid Davenport, Chase Sienkiewicz, Cameron Sisk and Tommy Kuhl will look to secure exempt status for the summer. Yuxin Lin, who is currently 28th in the Fortinet Cup, is competing in the Korn Ferry Tour’s AdventHealth Championship this week.
