This is an interesting trip. We ended up here by accident as we were looking for another place and ended up here instead. It looked interesting and so we stayed! We were a bit scared since there was nothing keeping the animals from our car and we saw some of the monkeys pull parts off the cars in front of us. A lion sat in front of our car for about 20 minutes before he would move and the cars behind us started honking! Not a good thing to do! They had just had a baby giraffe and we were able to see the adorable baby when we went by. The walkabout was interesting and we got to see some wallabies and monkeys there. It was an interesting day trip but I can't see coming back.

A very nice day out, with plenty to do and see. We had a nice trip with some friend to this Safari Park. I enjoyed the driving side (the real Safari) than the other walking bit. We were in coach so the park offered us a tour guide who made the ride very informative and worthwhile. the walking side of the par is nice an d peaceful, and outstandingly clean. Good cafes and restaurants (compare to such places it is very good). Great family attraction and a very family friendly atmosphere ... or I guess the weather was perfect for everyone to be NICE :D The place need around one hour or so for the car ride, and another 2-3 hours for the walking side.

A superb family day out! We went to the Woburn Safari Park this bank holiday weekend and had such a great time. The biggest attraction is the road safari. Basically you just drive through in your car (windows tightly shut most of the time!), while rhinos, lions, bears, tigers etc. roam freely around you. They seem quite unconcerned by the vehicles and even cross the road between cars. We got lots of lovely photographs there, and it was nice to see those huge animals at such close range. The monkeys were great, there's something so terribly entertaining about seeing them ripping off other people's car ariels. There is a bypass if you wish to avoid them. You can repeat the road safari any number of times throughout your day. There is a foot safari too, with attractions like Land of the Lemurs, Australian Walkabout etc., with smaller animals to look at. There is a large lake where you can take a swan-shaped boat out and also a train that takes you around the park (I'd give the latter a miss, you only see a few things that you passed on the road safari anyway). There is a large picnic area which is more like a grassy car park as everyone parks and eats all over (they are not separated). Lots of people were having picnics because though there is lots to eat there it's at the usual extortionate prices these places charge. We found that there was too much to see and do in one day, we actually did it over 1 1/2 days and it still wasn't enough. I suppose it was because we took our time over the picnic and relaxing after it etc. but who wants to rush anyway? So I suggest that you plan your day and decide what you absolutely must see/do and finish those first. There are plenty of children's play areas, both indoor and outdoor, so even the youngest kids have something here. The Woburn Safari Park is one of the best family attractions I have been to in the UK.

This is nice place for a day out with the kids. It's not my favourite though. When we went once, the cashpoint was broken and they couldnt take cards! so that cut our day short, as we couldnt eat!! Def suggest take a bit of cash, incase. I didnt think the safari bit was that great as half the animals were really far away. Our little struggled to see much. On the good side , the other part , the enclosures bit was good, it was a nice walk round. And there are swan boats on a little lake too. Lovely on a nice day ;o) Worth a go. We use our tesco deals vouchers to get in, if you want to save a bit of dosh x

Photo of Qype User (sophie…)

This place is really nice to take young children - they have lots of different things to do. The main thing here is the safari, you drive around the park on a track through all the animals - all the animals are loose so you do have the possibility of them coming right up to the car! The best thing is the monkey enclosure (you do have the oppurtunity to bypass it), the monkeys jump all over the car and it's great fun! Once the safari drive is finished, you can go to the park, there is a lake with pedal controlled swans, an indoor play centre and a large avary where you can feed the birds. Downside - the cost, it does cost a fortune!

Photo of Qype User (cheryt…)

We've been here a few times and thoroughly enjoyed it each and every time. You start off with a drive around the safari park and through the monkey enclosure. Very exciting to see the animals so close, especially the black bears and wolfs together! There's white tigers, elephants, rhino, lions, monkeys, deers, zebra etc (a very african flavour baring the wolfs, bears and tigers!) After the safari you park up and you can have a lovely picnic or purchase food and the restuarant, there's a gift shop, swan lake and loads of shows from reptiles, to feeding time, bird shows etc. There's plenty of loops to walk around and believe me you do walk so wear comfortable shoes! Also keep an eye out for the craft shows as they are brilliant for quality hand made items and good food!

Photo of Qype User (little…)

Woburn Safari park is a really good day out, plus if you go in the colder months there are usually some good deals on tickets, but it is cheap anyway. The drive around safari has a wide range of animals to offer (including the dreaded monkeys, rhinos, elephants lions, tigers and bears) and it is really fun to see them that close up and take photos At the end of this there is a walk around safari where you can see seal shows, walabies and even feed some lorikeets, which is a great experience for everyone. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Photo of Qype User (alison…)

Woburn Safari Park is an excellent day out for families (or a couple as well!) There are all the usual animals you would expect. This is a drive around venue where you stay in your car to view tigers, lions, monkeys, bears, rhino etc but after the 'safari' there is a car park where there are loos, play equipment, and other animals to see. I feel that it is a pricey day out but you do get to see a lot for your money. You can also buy an 'experience' day which may be looking after the elephants. This is a fantastic day out and you really are involved with the animals. I would recommend a visit here.
