World Tour

Course Reviews

We played this course 2 years ago and it was in much nicer condition the first time around then this year. It was a colder than normal winter this year so I am writing it off as just one of those things. It was in the worst shape of all the other courses in our package.

It had been 4 yrs since I last played the World Tour and how it has changed. The greens roll perfect and the fairways are amazing. It is still a gimmicky course with some beautiful holes. If you haven't played it you need to try it.

Very good and fair course. Great condition. You can play every shot. Will play again

We play this course every other trip and it always satisfies.

was on my bucket list. It did not disappoint. An excellent golf course

Played Aug 2012Has 3 nines but Championship 9[Amen Corner holes] was closed for renovations.Open 9 was recently renovated and bunkers and greens were in good shape with greens being fast.International 9 is apparently next up to be renovated. Bunkers were full of water, and greens were ragged and slow.I liked the lay-outs of the holes, and the video screen graphics of the holes, but the drastic differences in green speeds and bunker water between the two nines took away from the experience.

played there this past yr. not worth the price treated like we were not wanted thought it would be better

The Hole TruthCelebrating a game popularized in the 15th century, World Tour Golf Links sports its own interesting history and facts.1. To play the courses which inspired World Tour Golf Links, youd have to travel nearly 20,000 miles, through six times zones and five different countries. 2. Of the courses that inspired World Tour, 16 are so exclusive that the average golfer would not be able to play them at any price. 3. Greens fees for just one round at each of the six public courses featured at World Tour would total more than $1,000 not including airfare and lodging. 4. The circular drive outside World Tours 25,000 square foot antebellum clubhouse flies the flags of our six represented countries Australia, Canada, England, Scotland, Spain and the United States and 10 states: California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania. 5. Six different countries with four different languages (English, French, Scottish and Spanish) inspired the holes at World Tour. 6. Over one million cubic yards of dirt were moved to authentically recreate the features and hazards of the 27 holes included on the World Tour. 7. During initial research for World Tour, owner Mel Graham traveled thousands of miles to visit each hole on a 150-hole short-list of potential layouts. 8. There are more than 2,000 azaleas planted around the four holes inspired by Augusta National. 9. Of the U.S. states represented at World Tour, Florida is the top repeat contributor. Bayhill, Doral, Jupiter Hills, TPC Sawgrass, and Seminole all made the World Tour cut. 10. For Most Holes Inspired by a Single Course, the title goes to Augusta National. Augustas 11th, 12th, and 13th (the trio that comprises the legendary Amen Corner) are on the Championship Nine; #16 is on the Open Nine. 11. Outside the United States, the United Kingdom is home to the most World Tour-inspiring courses with Royal Troon and St. Andrews in Scotland and Wentworth in England.

The Championship Nine includes holes inspired by the four major championships The Masters, United States Open, British Open and PGA Championship. The par 36 course, with L93 Bent grass greens and 419 Bermuda fairways, measures 3,290 yards from the tournament tees, 3,188 yards from the back tees, 2,967 yards from the member tees, and 2,756 yards from the forward tees.

I see it says lowest price so I'm assuming that is during the fall. I was wondering how much it cost w/cart to play during April? Thanks

You can play Amen Corner, TPC Sawgrass #17, St Andrews and alot more at at this great Myrtle Beach Golf Course. To play the courses which inspired World Tour Golf Links, youd have to travel nearly 20,000 miles, through six times zones and five different countries. World Tour

World Tour is the Grand Strand's most unusual and unique golf complex with 27 holes that read like a golfer's fantasy list. In fact, a tee time at World Tour is the equivalent of a golfing passport to some of golf's most exclusive golf courses - many of which aren't available for play at any price. Creator Mel Graham spent years researching and studying the courses that are paid homage at World Tour.

World Tour Golf Links: Your Passport to Golf’s Most Iconic Holes

This par-72 course features replica holes from some of the nation’s top-ranked courses as well as some further from home. With the opportunity to play the same holes as some of the greats, it goes without saying that few experiences exceed the one awaiting you at  World Tour Golf Links .

The front nine at World Tour, referred to as the Open Nine, includes spectacular golf holes from courses that have hosted either a U.S. or British Open. One of the highlights of the Open Nine is the par-3 3rd Hole that resembles the 17th Hole at the Stadium Course of TPC Sawgrass. Although the hole may seem easy from the comfort of your own living room when watching players dunk it in the surrounding hazard, you may have a different reaction after stepping up to the tee box for yourself. The final hole on the Open Nine is a tribute to the 18th at St. Andrews. It features a replica of the Swilcan Bridge and the infamous "Valley of Sin” that guards the green.

The back nine at World Tour includes holes synonymous with all four of the men’s major championships. Although each hole is outstanding in its own right, it’s awfully difficult not to be blown away by Myrtle Beach’s very own Amen Corner. A trio of holes on the Championship Nine pay tribute to the 11th, 12th and 13th Holes at Augusta National. The only things missing are the abundant azaleas and Tiger Woods!

After your round, be sure to stop by the Player’s Grille for the club’s delicious Reuben sandwiches or dine outside on the veranda overlooking the final hole of the Championship Nine, inspired by the 11th Hole at Bay Hill.

Among a number of accolades, World Tour has most notably been awarded the "National Golf Course of the Year” by Golf Digest in 2008 and has been named the "Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year” by the National Golf Course Owners Association.

The design of World Tour seamlessly brings together some of the world’s most outstanding holes. Although each is a replica, the experience of playing a round at World Tour is completely original.

Legendary Holes, Right Here in Myrtle Beach: Meet World Tour Golf Links

world tour golf course myrtle beach sc

For many golf fans who watched U.S. golfer Brian Harman claim the 2023 Open Championship title in mid-July, it’s a common desire to play an Open Championship-quality course for themselves. And when golfers visit the Grand Strand, this dream can come true … with no need for an over-the-ocean flight or even a passport.

That’s because at International World Tour Golf Links in Myrtle Beach, there are a number of holes inspired by courses on the Open Championship  rotation — as well as courses that host The Masters, the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship. Further, the layout sports holes inspired by some of the most renowned courses in the world, including St. Andrews, Pinehurst, Sawgrass and Pine Valley.

Today, we’ll take a look at the World Tour holes inspired by courses famed for hosting the Open Championship:

The Championship Course #3

Inspired by the 8th hole at Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland — which owns the distinction of being the shortest hole on any of the Open Championship courses — this 116-yard, par-3 hole known as the “Postage Stamp” is best known for its tiny green. Adding to the challenge of the green’s lack of real estate, the putting surface features a downhill slope and is guarded by a pair of bunkers on its left side, and a trio on its right.

The Open Course #1

Inspired by the 1st hole at St. Andrews (Old Course) in Fife, Scotland, this 360-yard, par-4 hole features an extremely broad fairway — a tribute to the Old Course original that, at 100-plus yards wide, is one of the widest fairways in the game. Also like its Old Course counterpart, a small waterway (similar to the original’s Swilican Burn) runs across the front of the green, ready to capture second shots that fall short or hit the front of the green and spin backwards.

The Open Course #9

Another tribute to a famed hole at St. Andrews, this 329-yard, par-4 hole is inspired by the closing hole at the birthplace of golf. Sharing its wide fairway with the above-described Open Course hole #1, this final hole on the Open Course features a replica of the easily recognizable stone bridge over Swilican Burn found on St. Andrews’ 18th, as well as a green with a steep right to left slope and a deep depression known as the “Valley of Sin” guarding the left-front portion of the putting surface.

image description

Despite routine nods for customer service, and even with a pair of high-profile Golf Course of the Year awards (Golf Digest, Myrtle Beach Golf Course Owners Association), the draw of Myrtle Beach's   World Tour Golf Links is the feelings the replica holes here can recreate for everyone.

The course, patterned off some of the most infamous holes from around the globe, provides two nines or raw emotion tied to golf’s greatest memories.

The Open 9 honors the sites of various U.S. and British Opens, as well as the National Golf Club of Canada. The Championship 9 is then inspired by the Grand Slam. Together, they have something no other course can all on its own.

“It’s just the uniqueness,” PGA head professional Brad Crumling said. “It gives people who can’t afford the chance to play those golf courses an opportunity to hit the island green or play Amen Corner. Maybe one percent can play [the originals].”

Arguably the best of the best at World Tour is the third hole on the Open 9. Mimicking TPC Sawgrass No. 17, players on the par 3 are no more than 132 yards from an island green that tends to swallow up tee shots much like the hole it celebrates.

Myrtle Beach Golf Trips

World Tour Golf Links

Take a golf trip around the world without ever leaving the Grand Strand at the World Tour Golf Links in Myrtle Beach. Rated by Golf Digest as “4 ½ Stars” (2008), World Tour has also been named “National Golf Course of the Year” by the National Golf Course Owners Association (2004) and “Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year” by the Myrtle Beach Golf Course Owners Association (2003). Inspired by the greatest courses in the world with famous layouts resembling Pine Valley, Augusta National and St. Andrews, it’s no wonder it has been honored to receive awards and mentions from numerous sources.

The difficult task in having to assign a signature hole for a course is hard enough when each of the 27 holes at World Tour represents a signature hole from all over the world. The most memorable hole – No. 9 on the Open Course, a 329-yard (members) par 4 – is a tribute to the closing hole at St. Andrews. It has one of the widest fairways in golf, and the approach shot features the stone bridge where Arnold Palmer’s famous farewell was preserved in a historic photo taken at The King’s last British Open in 1996.

When I arrived at the course I was impressed with the staff, especially the bag handlers. They were to my car before I could get out. The starter was courteous. The course is well layed out representing the different courses in the US and other countries. The challenge was to regroup at each hole for next play, which was a challenge. The fairways and the greens were in exceptional shape. All bunkers were raked, which means that players followed protocol. In regard to the "AMEN CORNER", thought I was at Augusta National. I was so excited that I never got to the clubhouse, so I did not fully rate it, but I would assume it met the standard. I will play again. An honest tip, please don't "putt hard, just a light tap", because the greens are fast!

Very nice, course in great shape

Nice course,

Loved it. Great staff, great holes, thanks our group is very appreciative of the time there.

Absolutely love the course. It is a most play every year we come down.

Thought the course was in good shape for mid March, always try to play this course when we're in Myrtle Beach.

Outstanding!

Challenging but yet fun to play, greens quick and in great shape. Even if you were to take the replica names off the holes, would be a fantastic design. The course challenges every aspect of your game.

Course in excellent condition. Have always thought even if the holes weren't touted as "replica" holes that it would be a good design. Fun to play and a great mix of challenging/easier holes. Look forward to playing here soon, friendly staff

Very enjoyable round. Great friendly staff. Course in great shap

Course was in great shape! Staff was courteous and helpful! GPS didn’t work on front nine!

A amazing track. Staff were friendly, professional and informative. Excellent experience.

Great layout and facilities. Driving range and club house we’re wonderful

What an awesome course!! Well maintained

Nice course, pace of play was good.

Nice course in good condition. Not sure how close the holes were to the real ones but we still had fun.

Even through rainy weather, the course was in great shape and the entire staff was a pleasure to deal with!

Very very nice course. It is fun to play replicas of famous golf holes from around the world, especially the 3 holes of Amen Corner.

Course was in excellent condition. I would definitely okay this course again.

Course was in great shape

Great shape and friendly staff

Course and facilities were in great condition, fun course to play

Great friendly staff members. And great to play hole replicas from various courses.

Challenging but fun course. Very scenic

Nice golf course very challenging

Great layout, course in very good shape and fun to play. A little pricey but was on bucket list.

I really enjoyed this round. Very cool replicas of great tour holes.

The best course in MB, return every year

Awesome Course!! We come there every year

Great variety of holes

Excellent course, friendly staff,

Great Course & great experience!

Was a real fun course to play! Having played or seen on TV, many of the holes, I think they did a great job in replicating them.

Very nice course! The course, clubhouse and staff were all top notch.

Very nice course. Definitely a course i will be going back to. Loved the layout.

Always love playing here. Fun time

Course was in great shape and the layout was challenging and entertaining

Really nice course

Really enjoyed the course! Staff great! Course conditions excellent! Would recommend to anyone to include in their playlist!

Excellent!!!! The right amount of challenge and each of the replica holes you could really see

Very enjoyable. Excellent and fun course. Looking forward to playing again.

Well maintained course. Enjoyed playing it.

Interesting concept and enjoyed the holes. Great conditions for February and after rain. Our group will play here again

first time playing, greens were fast but a fun course

Loved the course. It was in great shape.

Excellent layout. Love the plaques on each hole. Course was in excellent condition.

Nice course in good shape

Nice Course - Good Condition - Enjoyable round

Very nice course. Enjoyed the different holes from the famous courses

Excellent, one complaint from my group, they could and should have blown the greens off in the morning.

First class course, one of my favorites

Great course in great conditions

Place was fantastic as always! Everyone who works there is great. Course was I. Great shape. We had a good experience down there with all 5 courses we played but the people working at World Tour were definitely a step above the rest. Real friendly people. Course was in great shape and the clubhouse was the best around.

Always a fun course and the people working there are very friendly

Thought it was a great course and had an awesome time.

World Tour Golf Links was one of the most enjoyable golf-related experiences I have had in recent memory. The course(s) were tough but fair and the greens were lightning fast, as would be expected at all the courses replicated. During my particular round, the wind was gusting 30-40 m.p.h., which seemed to add to the authenticity. Staff was friendly and attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better day playing the game I love.

well maintained. the marketing of each hole is unique, yet not sure the holes were as "inspired by" as marketed.

Our group loved taking on the #17 at Sawgrass and the fast greens. Service was prompt and replay rates were reasonable.

Enjoyed the courses very much. Was in great shape. I would play there again.

Great course.

Nice course, staff very friendly and helpful

Great course.. Fun aspect of playing a course that has a world theme. Fun for all handicaps.

Love the course - 4th time playing

good shape and fun. nice practice area too.

Enjoyable place to play. Juniors play free with paying adult, nice touch

Unique and challenging.

fun day, cool concept. Enjoyed all the holes

The course is great, and the staff was courteous and friendly.

Nice course with fast greens.

Great track of Iconic holes of golf.

Beautiful course Pack extra balls

Awesome. Course in nice shape. Proshop and bag drop guys very helpful. Excellent cart girl

course in great shape our group liked it very much. Staff accommodating and friendly

had a fun day and liked the concept. course in excellent condition

Outstanding conditions quick greens and fun

Fast greens, nice conditions

Nice day to play, enjoyed the course

quick and fun round. excellent conditioned course. enjoyed reading about the holes before we teed up. Cool concept

Course in great shape from tee to green. Loved the layout was first time playing here

fun but challenging and have played here many times. enjoy the replica holes especially the Augusta holes. In really good shape .

Great shape lots of fun to play, some of the replica holes seem to close to reality. Even if you take the names off the holes still an excellent golf course. Our group enjoyed the day.

I’ve played this course 4-6 times in last 20 years..It was in the best shape that I’ve seen………Fairways and fringes we excellent-- Greens we’re in the best condition I’ve ever played it.--It is a very enjoyable layout — the only complaint would be the tees ….. but that’s no big deal to Me!!.. I was very happy I played it this Vacation

Golf course in beautiful shape got some rain during our round but was able to finish. replica holes were fun to play.

Nice course, some holes seemed like they are really close to the actual famous ones. Greens rolled excellent, entire course really good shape

Nice day, course in good shape always enjoy playing here

Nice design, in really good shape, greens rolled smooth.

I loved the course. The replica holes area nice touch. The course is set up fair.

Great value. Good practice facility. Very friendly staff. Decent layout. Good conditions. The tees and fairways have been impacted by the lack of rain, but the greens held well and putted well.

The course was fun to play. Conditions tee to green were a bit tough with lack of rain in the area for a while. However, the greens were in good shape and everything else was still hittable despite the dry conditions. The only downside is that some drives went into the trees/water/etc. due to the hard, dry conditions that might not have during normal rainfall times. Without hesitation I WILL play this course again.

Didn't play well enough to enjoy to the fullest. I'd like to play it again one day and see it in it's prime condition.

Great challenging course but too many noisy tractors.

Beautiful course, well maintained. Reminiscent of some of the great holes in golf, but not incredibly realistic. WAY too expensive!

Ok course, little over crowded

Interesting course but conditions could be better.

Great course ..fun time

It's a replica course, but the artist is a bit sus. It wasn't bad, but maybe my expectations were too high as I've never played a course with this type of billing.

Beautiful course. Great condition. Great clubhouse and bar.

Great course! Alot of fun, staff was very friendly and made everything enjoyable! Played in a great group too. Green rolled beautifully. Holed out a bunker shot for a 2 on an Augusta hole!

The green and fairway can use some maintenance and upgrade that would make the course a lot more beautiful truly representing the real Champion and Open holes.

Needs some repair. Cart paths

nice course but not what is was 10 years ago

I was looking forward to this course the most as I had not been able to play here the last time I was in town. The layout was good, greens were in good shape but I was disappointed with the overall condition of the course compared to the price. There are many nice courses in the area that charge a lot less. greens had bad plugs that were both an eye sore and impossible to putt through, many areas under reconstruction.

Definitely a fun experience. Course was in good shape and certainly had the feel that we were at the actual courses.

Good course, pace of play was pretty slow but course conditions were good.

WTGL was an incredibly fun golf course and I felt most of the replica holes were accurate. Had a blast playing and the course was in excellent shape.

Nice course enjoyed playing the different holes. Greens really quick, nice staff

it was good except hole # 3 (Sawgrass #17) which was closed. I had been looking forward to that hole.

Course was wet but understandable with all the recent rain. We were glad to play and liked the course concept and layout. Amen corner was fun. Will play again

Honest representation of some of the greatest holes in the game.

This was an awesome course and would love to play it again

I love this course. Green. Tee box. Everything is so good.

Course was in excellent shape. Fairways pristine and greens rolled excellent, quick and consistent

Really enjoyed the layout of the course. Based on holes around the world which was a great experience.

Lots of fun, better than last time I played in the 90’s

A replica course that is truly unique! We played World Tour during the 2020 Masters Tournament, and will remember playing Amen Corner for a long time!. World Tour Stands alone among a lot of other courses on the Grand Strand that are rather similar to each other. It is a top tier facility offering a great player experience. Course conditions were very good even after two days of heavy rains - drainage problems only affected one hole. Perhaps most importantly, they space out the tee times to ensure a good playing experience with little if any waiting. The bottom line is everyone should play World Tour at least once - you won't be disappointed, and, like our group, you'll probably be back for more soon. It is memorable, fun, and a good value.

greens in great shape. most of course was manicured well. there where maybe two or three holes that needed work around the edges. staff was awesome.

My favorite by far

Beautiful course. One of the best we have played.

Great course can’t wait to play again.

Just a great day. Really courteous and helpful. Loved the place

Really enjoyed the re-creation of famous holes from around the world. Course was in very good shape. Would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't raining and cart path only, but still a lot of fun.

Enjoyed the layout and the different holes. Can be challenging for sure

Consistent staff, course, and service

Very nice course in good shape. Friendly staff

One of my favorite courses in the area and play it every year i am in Myrtle.

First time playing, enjoyed all the holes and reading the hole signs. Nice people, in good shape too

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The course was pretty nice and in solid condition.

We loved it! Beautiful course and so fun to play. It was really fun to read about each hole and what golf course that it was from and the course was in excellent condition.

Great course my new favorite will play every year.

Favorite course great shape will play every time I am here

Enjoyable course in good shape. Pace of play very slow.

Good course conditions. Pace a tad slow due to three 4somes bunching up with no staff to move them along. Nice staff and practice range.

Great concept and fun , challenging layout. Plays longer than yardages indicate so plan tee box selection accordingly.

Beautiful course, well-designed holes, just sucked that the greens were recently aerated and super bumpy..

love the course but greens could have been a little better

Always a great place to play. A course we play every trip.

Awesome course. Great shape even with heavy rain the two days before playing.

Great course. Second time I have played it this year (and ever). Loved the concept and how well it is managed. All staff were so nice, with the exception of the starter. Our +2 group had not arrived, we preferred to go alone and there was no one on either hole that we could have started on, yet he still made a big deal about it and acted like he was making such a sacrifice. Just send us out and let us enjoy the course. We told him we played quickly and would not disrupt the flow and he snapped that it did not matter, there were many foursomes in front of us. End result, I use a Garmin watch and it times the round. 3:28 to complete the course. No reason for forced foursomes if things are not backed up. REALLY no reason for a snappy attitude.

Great course. Was a challenge for all handicap level of play. Course was in great shape staff was great.

Great course, the staff was very helpful and friendly. It was our first round of the trip and was a great way to start off the trip.

Wish I was a member, place was spotless and super manicured! Had a great time with friends that all lives here in MB. Can’t wait to tee off their again👍

Excellent course. Very challenging.

Play every year always awesome experience

Course in great shape, interesting layout, a bit odd but strangely fun.

Really nice conditions a bit gimmicky on the design I thought course was sterile looking but some interesting holes. Short from back tee. I wanted to take my son out for couple extra holes and cart guy drive out and told us to come in strange with very few players on course

Course was in great shape and the concept is terrific. Very enjoyable round.

Very nice course. Pleasant staff especially the starter.

Open 9 deceiving. Championship 9 beautiful.

Fairways were great, greens were just okay, and rough was average.

Starter started off to be a jerk. I made a tee time for a single. When he saw that, he was put out. I screwed up his starting sheet. I told him I could easily play it in 4 hours then he asked if I was from Canada Ontario. He paired me up with a twosome and he wasn't a jerk to them. I rented clubs and the guy hurried out in his cart to bring them to my automobile. I told them they were rented when I returned the cart. The golf bag even had the rent tag on it.

Nice course. Great time and great staff.

good service and nice course

Loved the course. Will definitely play again on next trip to MB.

Was a beautiful course did not disappoint . The greens were fast and a little too much sand . But still one of the best courses I have ever played on,

Very nice course with a unique concept .

Great Course to play, the group in front of us had beginners. They should have been told to let us play through. It was very very slow.

I loved the experience and the layout and condition was fantastic.

Always in great shape and one of our favorite rounds in MB.

Excellent course, great condition, challenging, and well worth what I thought was a very reasonable price.

Outstanding service and beautiful facilities!

Fun day of golf.

I really enjoyed my time here. I really knew it was going to be a great day as we drove up the road to the club house. What an awesome way to start off the day. From the guys at the Bag Drop, Club House, Starter, and all the staff were an absolute pleasure. I cannot wait to come back and play again.

Decent course, holes vaguely resemble those from championship courses. Service was good.

Course was beautiful. Very helpful and polite staff.

Very good!!! Amazing conditions and awesome service!

Fabulous layout. Played it twice. 2nd round we got behind a group of golfers that did not know golf etiquette. Drinking lots of beer and taking way too much time. We followed for 5 holes and finally had to pass them and come back to hole we missed. But that was OK. The golf course was great.

Outstanding staff and service. Was treated like kings. Fast greens, good fairways.

Great course. Really fun layout. Course in great shape.

One of the best courses I’ve ever played. Will make this a mandatory stop each trip!

Very nice course. Very fun to play. Interesting.

Great, second visit to the course, enjoyed it even more this time, even with all the rain!!

awesome day. loved the concept of the course.

Fun course. Issue with pace of play on the back. They allowed a group of 6 to play together which slowed the round to a crawl

Loved it! Course was very well maintained and the staff was excellent!

Awesome! Had a great time.

Great experience, staff super friendly, course in good shape, a few rough patches but all in all good

Great course! The whole experience was a pleasure from arrival through playing. Was a little disappointed that we were the first group out (only a 2 some) and had to wait at the turn as they send groups off both 9’s in the am. Luckily the foursome let us pass after a few holes.

Absolutely beautiful course and staff was amazing

Well maintained. Some tee boxes a little beat up. Wish on each hole it might say what majors have been held at the holes.

Fun to play all the famous holes that I have seen on tv

Great fun track with awesome conditions.

Great experience. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed playing the replica holes

Very nice course and staff! Enjoyed playing the replica holes. Will definitely go back!

Great course, excellent layout for any golfer. Course condition was in pretty good shape. Friendly staff, will definitely play here again.

Fantastic layout and fun experience.

The course was good except for the greens on most holes. There was sand being put on the greens as we played and it made putting very difficult to read the line or speed. Staff was very nice.

The course was in great shape, and played well

Fantastic everyone of the staff were great! Course is amazing and even with the bad rain the night before we had a super time

Unfortunately we had heavy rain the night before our round but,we still loved playing the course. My wife thought it to be challenging but fair for the lady's. All of the employees we had contact with were great. Very friendly, helpful, and you could see they loved their jobs. That alone says a lot .

Has gone down hill. No cart GPS and they really could provide towels for players. Staff was courteous though. With so many other courses in Myrtle, I will play elsewhere.

Great course. Staff was super friendly!

Friendly staff; very nice course

The facility was great. The people working were extremely friendly and welcoming.

Great, fun course with terrific service. This was our 3rd visit over 10+ years, and we will be back. I also appreciated the junior play policy.

great experience

Wonderful experience

Awesome. Spectacular course.

Awesome course even in the rain it was still fun to play.

It was a very fun course. It was really cool to play the replica of so many iconic holes.

Staff was fantastic and friendly. Didn’t get the total experience of the course due to rain and weather. From what I did see and play, I plan to return to in better conditions.

Fun to play holes we have seen on TV for so many years.

great experience! great course and staff

Had a great round.

Fun course. Greens putted true. Some tee boxes in rough shape.

Great condition, 1st 9 holes went fast. the back nine was slow due to teeing off the front/back nine in the am.

First time playing, really enjoyed the course! Excellent staff provides you with the whole member feel. Absolutely on our play when in town list!!!

Great course, a lot of fun!

Staff was super nice and helpfull

First class all around, every staff member is very welcoming.

Greens had recently been aerated. Ball did not roll very well.

Nice course. Turns out the holes are not exact replicas of the originals. Little misleading. But had a great time with the other two i golfed with.

From the entrance gate security person, to the bag handler, to the pro shop to the starter and player assistant person were very professional and friendly. I would play this course again.

Great course, amazing experience to play replicas of famous holes from across the world. Was able to play the open 9, but not the championship 9 due to rain. I was given a rain check, and I will definitely be back to cash that in because this is one of the best courses I’ve ever played.

Course was very playable and our foursome had a great time.

Great shape, lots of fun, good test of golf skills.

Course was nice and in great shape. Either need a beverage cart or water coolers on every hole or every other hold especially when it's 95 degrees plus.

over rated and over priced based on course condition

Great course would play again

Disappointed in the fact that the fairways and greens were in better shape at the other two (much cheaper) golf courses that we played on this trip. Tee boxes were good. Stater was excellent, funny and checked on us every few holes. He was great as was the rest of the staff we dealt with, with exception of bartender

A lot of fun to play.

Nice course a little steep on price.

Staff was great and hospitable

Great course and a staff made u feel like you were at a country Club

Wonderful experience on a beautiful golf course made up of famous holes from around the world. Would love to return to play again.

Awesome experience and super friendly staff! Definitely worth playing!

I enjoyed the course and had a lot of fun playing it.

I absolutely love this golf course.

Have no complaints, all good

Very slow front 9, marshal only appeared during back nine.

Fun to Play. Great experience.

7 out of 10. Staff was outstanding, the course needs some TLC.

Have played many courses in N.C and S.C. over the years and this course is among my top experiences in all aspects.

We had an amazing time at World Tour. The facility, practice areas, staff and course were all great. The greens were in very good shape and the overall conditions were excellent.

Love the golf course. What a great lay out of hole that I would never be able to play other than at your course.

Replica holes were fantastic. Lived up to my high expectations. Friendly staff, nice clubhouse. Greens and fairways were in great condition.

Played 2 days course was in very good shape.

Staff was excellent and so was the course.

Very nice course. Loved concept of replica holes from around the world.

Very nice - wish you wouldn’t pair up twosomes - two twosomes play faster than a foursome.

I’ve played here multiple times. Always a good experience.

Awesometastic

A great experience. The course and facilities were great and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Course is in great shape and the staff is the best In Myrtle Beach.

The course was a lot of fun and in very good condition.

It was awesome in February looks even nicer with all the green!!!

Really enjoyed playing bad golf well!

My 5th trip around this track over the years. First time played in the off season. Was in great shape, especially considering amount of rain that it received the week before playing. Love the layout and playability. Except for holes 4 and 5 the course is forgiving off the tee for a high handicapper like myself. given time of year course was empty and we got around in 3 1/2 hours playing at our own pace. great practice range, always in great shape. also nice big practice green for all you chipping and putting warmup. staff very friendly. nice to be able to play at a reasonable $60 instead of the normal $165 in season. will be back.

Wow! The course is in excellent condition. Fairways, tee boxes, and greens all in great shape. The pace of play was great! Marty and I played in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Staff was super friendly. Will definitely be playing at World Tour again!

The course was in fantastic shape, super friendly staff, and I love of they design the holes after different famous golf holes from around the world.

Beautiful golf course. condition of the golf course was fantastic despite all the rain they had about a week ago due to the tornado.

Great layout. As the area has seen a lot of rain, the course was very soggy. It appears that the ability to mow in some areas has been restricted due to the conditions. We enjoyed the golf course and interpretation of some the great iconic golf holes in the US and British Isles Would recommend to anyone to play the course and very must appreciate the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. I Thank you very making our experience at World Tour a great one

Very nice and great staff!! We had a great time

Staff were excellent and enjoyed the course. The 11/12th and 13th from Augusta were my favorites.

A lot of 2 somes and a big outing made for slow play. Other than that it was great liked to play there

Great experience and amazing facility

Great theme, nice layout. Favorite holes were the Augusta replicas. The golf staff were tremendous,

Friendly, welcoming staff. The course was in great shape and the fairways were perfect to hit off of. Amen corner was my favorite stretch of holes.

Course in great shape, excellent customer service.

Friendly staff wonderful course beautiful

A wonderful day of golf history on the course.

Free range balls before round was really nice.

Great layout and service. Tees were fair; greens were very sandy. If the greens were in good shape then this is a top tier course.

Awesome course. Worlds best holes all on 1 course

Had a great time.with all the rain the course was in good shape.

In a few months the greens should be back to normal. 4 very bad ones now but overall a fun experience.

The course concept is AWESOME. The Starters & Attendants were phenomenally friendly and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Nicest staff went over and above already planning next year to make sure to play the coarse more than once.

Very nice course. Greens were in very rough shape from the winter, but still a desirable, wonderful golf course.

Only seen the cart girl once. Other than that it was an outstanding experience!

Layout is well done. Favorite hole was English Turn # 15. Golfed around the world in a single day.

Course was in excellent shape, even after heavy rains.

Would have liked to known specifics of the club/course. It was too difficult being linked to other courses.

After rain no one to help unload carts. Excellent course I would come back.

Liked the layout.

Everything was excellent except the very slow play for a course that was not busy. No marshalls on the course

Staff was excellent. Course in great shape early.

Playing 18 holes from all over the world. Favorite hole island green par 3.

The course was in good shape after having three inches of rain the night before

It was a pleasure to play this course. Very hard for medium players as us but we have had a great fun to play.

Very nice course with a really nice layout. They did a great job replicating famous holes and the course was in excellent shape. Especially for this earlier in the year with the just getting out of winter. Good pace of play and a very friendly/knowledgeable staff.

I liked the explanation on each hole. Gorgeous course! Want to come back soon!

Wow! What a course! From the check in to the last hole everything was great. The greens are trying to make their way in but that's just due to the time of year. The course was pretty challenging but it was great to play replicas of all the top holes in the world.

liked amen corner

Course was excellent! Pace perfect. Never had to wait. Really enjoyed this course and the hole placards.

Greeting staff from the front gate thru the starter & marshalls were terrific.

Fantastic Course I will return.

I loved the course and will be back. Great atmosphere.

The experience on course was very good. The greens could have been in a little better conditions but good for the amount of play. The grill is slow due to the number of people trying attend bar and tables. overall i would play again.

The experience of playing holes designed with famous holes in mind, is a very unique experience. Anyone who watches and plays golf should play here at least once. We had an amazing day. We will most definitely be back, next time with friends!

Absolutely amazing. Very impressive clubhouse viewed as soon as you arrive. Very efficient bag drop area and check in was easy peasy. Playing a round on historic golf holes was fun. My partner shot Amen Corner one over par!!

Staff was great! Course was in great condition.

Love course layout even though played worst round in 15 yrs

Everything is absolutely amazing. From the staff members down to the hole layouts. Definitely coming back to play numerous times.

My husband and son loved it. There are a few greens that need to be repaired. Great place to golf!!

only thing that would have been nicer would have been gps in the carts. exceptional experience!!!!!

my buddy and i drove down from western new york for two golf mostly days in myrtle beach. we teed off at 8:40 as some of the first to go out. a seasonal 44 degrees with a 20 mile per hour wind to boot. nonetheless we very much enjoyed the challenge. scores were higher than usual with tough wind conditions. took another crack at the championship 9 and played pretty well. very much enjoyed the course. staff was great. will do it again.

The staff is fabulous. The layout is nice and in good shape given the time of year (Feb). Also had lunch in the club house which was good and reasonably priced.

Course was in great condition for January. Very enjoyable round.

Fun layout! We played from the gold tees, which at times played a little long, especially because the course was soggy from a bad rain storm the night before! I think the course slope is a little low, given the amount of water & forced carries, island greens. I'm looking forward to going back

GOLF BOARDS! made the experience

Great layout and challenging. Course can be a bit difficult to find. Drove by the entrance sign twice as it is somewhat hidden.

Would have like to known that it was going to be cart path only

Thoroughly enjoyed playing World Tour today. Greens were slower than usual, however the course and greens condition made for a very enjoyable round..

Overall a good experience

We enjoyed every aspect of the facilities. Amen corner was our favorite holes and both island greens were very challenging. What a great time we had. Thank you.

Enjoyed the experience and will play again. The greens were slower than expected, but the overseeding was growing in.

It was an all around great experience from the entrance to the facilities to when wet were leaving.

Everything was great!

All the differnt holes patterned after holes on famous courses. Staff were very friendly.

Unique & fun course to play. One of the most pleasurable courses that I've played in Myrtle Beach!

Very nice course. Had an outstanding time with my son. The staff treated us like we were members. I would absolutely golf here again on my next trip back. Thank you world Tour staff for your hospitality!

Staff was great, got treated very good

The entire golf experience was outstanding. From the time we arrived to leaving

What a tremendous experience! It all starts when you drop your bag off at bag drop, continues to the check in process, and is sustained throughout the entire experience! Course is in AMAZING shape. Fairways are in tour conditions and the greens are like glass! Replica holes are super neat! Was treated like royalty the entire day and would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you World Tour for an unbelievable experience!

Beautiful clubhouse, practice areas, and course. All rough (nonexisstent) brown and dead. Greens seemed slow. Not in pristine condition, but cool to play the holes they tried their best to simulate. Overall a good experience, would recommend, but probably not go back with all the other options.

Loved playing amen corner

The staff made us feel extremely comfortable and were very welcoming. We would highly recommend this course and will definitely be back. Beat golf course and experience we've ever had!

excellent course..great shape..the most memorable of it all you ask? The cart girl...Kelley..a true asset to this business. She deserves to be in management. Super friendly, a killer smile, best southern accent(though she wont admit she has one) legs for miles..if shes not a 10 she's a 9.9..Oh, and she drives a pickup truck..enough said..

The course is in excellent shape for February and fun to enable yourself playing mirror image holes of some famous courses. Now with that being said...we all want to make believe that we can hit 300 yards but it isn't going to happen guys. Play the set of tees that will make it enjoyable to everyone or and if you really want to bring the spouse pick a later tee time. What happen to golf etiquette...as a twosome we had to follow this foursome couples the entire 9 holes with a 4 hole gap in front of them. The ranger did nothing even if he came around at least 3 times. I am a local so I can play anywhere and will do so, as I will leave this one for the tourists since this golf course made the decision to focus on the well being of these folks.

Course is in excellent shape. Staff was very friendly. Pace of play was slow today due to some groups playing from the wrong Tee Boxes. Play from a Tee Box that fits your handicap & it would be more enjoyable for everyone. Would recommend this course.

Liked recognizing all of the replicated holes and reading the signs at the tee boxes with descriptions of what famous course each hole was from.

Christopher

I was treated professionally from the moment I arrived until the moment I departed

It was a fun course. Most greens were big, which was nice. Staff were SO friendly! Can't wait to play in nicer weather, when it'll be green and things in bloom!

Bag handling, starters and Rangers were superior. It was nice to play as twosome since the course was not crowded.

Was an awesome course and will be back very soon

Course in great condition..

Fabric showing in bunkers in some cases with very little sand over it. It appeared to me that bunkers were not raked in the morning.

The course was really nice. They did a fantastic job especially since a few days before there was a hurricane and while playing the course the damage was not noticeable.

An amazing day of golf with a great environment.

(Liked the) different holes from all the courses

Just a word for this experience: Wonderful

Fantastic staff on the golf course

The course was very wet and should not have been open. The course was soaked and everywhere you stepped, it was sloppy and slushy.

Only thing I was upset about was that my brothers kid got sick the night before. They could not make it obviously. And the staff refused a refund, I mean two of us showed up for our tee time and things happen. I did receive a rain check but who knows when I'll be back or if I can even keep it in safe keeping until the next time I return

Being from Maine, I hadn't ever experienced such a nice golf course with fantastic attendants before. Everyone was very polite and personable. It was a really hot day (hot compared to what I'm used to in the north) so the cold peppermint cloths at the end was just about the most refreshing experience ever!

Very nice people on course. Very helpful.

Each hole is unique. Wish they still had the 3rd 9 holes open.

Enjoyed playing the course, favorite hole was the Championship nine 3rd hole Royal Troon #8.

Golf course with very good challenge

Had the best driving day of my life there! I'd like to think your course brought out the best in me!

A fantastic experience, treating with class from the moment you leave your vehicle.

Fun to play some of the great holes of golf.

Course is in great shape. Excellent staff, cold towels at end of round is a nice touch being very warm. Greens putted fast & true. Pace of play was a little slow but OK....

After returning to Myrtle Beach after fifteen years and playing World Tour when I was last there, I would definitely play again

Iv'e been playing this golf course for 20 years and it has got to be in the best shape ever. Great job by the entire staff. Make sure you play this excellent golf course when visiting Myrtle Beach.

I posted comments on Trip Advisor and Facebook on this course. Course was GREAT!! Staff was very pleasant and helpful. They had carts with ice and water all day to make sure you stayed hydrated. Greens, tees and fairways were all in excellent condition. Enjoyed playing replica holes to courses I had seen on TV.

Although it was very hot and humid course was great. Only drawback was slow play due to a wedding party I thought management should have stepped in 20 mins in between front and back nine is entirely too long held the whole golf course up

Overall good conditions, holes were very good replicas and very enjoyable.

Loved the course. Super conditions.

Amen Corner made you feel like you were actually golfing Augusta. Did not like the fairways with fresh top soil/bark. Sandy greens were a bit frustrating and would take your putts offline where the sand was clumpy.

Course was in great shape. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

(Liked) the collection of famous holes from historic courses.

Overall the course was great.

Layout was challenging but fair

15th year coming to Grand Strand for golf. Have played this course 4 times in past but it has been 5 years since last time. Nice to see the same cheery personalities from staff, great amenities and excellent course conditions. Even during heat and drought of this summer everything was green. Greens a little longer in tooth than I remember but might be result of lack of rain and not wanting to cut too short. Was real feel 100 on day we played. Cold water every three holes and the golf ambassadors was out with, more cold water to check on us every 4 holes or so. Started at 748am and before we hit sixth hole the cart girl was making the rounds. Saw her 3 times during round. Shame they shut down International 9. Great price in the heat of summer. A treat yourself play in spring/fall as price jumps to $165. Always a great take.

Nice water carts coming around.

Starter forgot to tell us pin location for the day. Cart girl was very available all day. Marshall constantly came around supplying ice while we were on the course. It would have been nice to have coolers on carts. It was very crowded and took 5+ hours for round. Loved course and fun to play.

Outside staff were the best anywhere. The course was in exceptional condition...tees, fairways, greens were the best around!!

Course was as good as expected. Staff far exceeded expectations.

Nothing not to like. Staff treated you like you were a member to an exclusive club and also like you were an old friend at the same time.

The course was amazing. It was in excellent condition and the staff very friendly. Perhaps more choices of food in the grill room for afterward.

The attendees at World Tour are the BEST I've seen. Every person asks how your doing, where your from, if you've played there before. The starters are excellent. The Rangers on the course are all friendly. They take an interest and do anything they can to make sure your round is exceptional. The only reason I rated the greens and tees as excellent instead of superior is because the greens weren't quite healed from being aerated and a few of the tees were slightly out of level. This is the best course I play at Myrtle Beach by far. Overall the experience at World Tour is a memorable one.

I liked the very friendly staff, and the course was the best one I played ever.

On Friday afternoon on July 29, 2016 when my son and I played and my wife and his mother went with us just to watch the gentleman who brought us water for the entire round was wonderful. It was unbearably hot and I was really struggling as I had walked six miles about two hours before our tee time. He seemed to show up at just the right time to make sure we had ice and water and always was there with a smile and wonderful personality. If you could look and see who worked at that time please tell him thank you from all of us.

Enjoyable layout, very friendly staff, course in good condition considering the recent heat. Enjoyable from arrival to happy hour at 19th.

Enjoyed playing the course and experiencing the various Open/Championship signature holes. The cold towel at end of round was refreshing.

Might want to think about coolers on the carts or have two cart girls in July/August ... Course was great.

Perhaps the write up that was on each hole in a handout form so I could take it home.

We loved this course. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition. The greens were receptive and rolled fast and true. Fairways were like carpet. All of the staff from the bag drop, pro shop, starter, to the cart girl were all very friendly. Pace of play was good for a resort area course. Teed off at 7:39 and played in 4 hours and 15 minutes. Would have been a lot faster but they do tee off from both nines. So if you are one of the first groups off on the front like we were you will have groups in front of you on your back nine. It really wasn't no problem though. The ice cold mint towel at the end of the round was a nice touch.

Great golf course will add it to the list to always play when we are here.

Very neat golf experience. Loved how each hole had a description and history of what famous hole inspired its design.

The course layout and design was only surpassed by the commitment to service. That made our round an experience that we will always remember and cherish.

Staff was great. Was cart path only for the round but the course made it enjoyable anyway. Most courses have a signature hole or two with uniqueness and character but this course had several. In particular, I enjoyed the Augusta National holes having seen the course before. A prop that could be added would be a mimic scoreboard at Amen Corner. Fun experience and I would go back.

Friends had told me About course.

Loved the inspiration from other courses around the world. The staff was incredibly nice. The course was kept very nicely and very clean.

Very friendly staff, course is in great shape........greens were rolling true.

Great course, great time. I will go back next time I am in Myrtle Beach for sure.

Great staff.

Everything was excellent.

Outstanding.

Course was great as usual. The areas around the greens were a little rough with bare spots, but I realize that is is changing into summer conditions

The starters and attendants were very professional, courteous and helpful. Played on a very hot day, and one beverage cart probably wasn't enough. However, the course did send around employees with large jugs of water to give out to golfers. Very nice service! Loved the course. Will certainly play it again.

Staff was great. Greens were not in good shape at all.

Great experience, loved the layout and we were paired with 2 workers from the course (great Guys to play with) so we had local knowledge of the course. Greens were just aerated and slow and I wish we could have played the course with them in normal condition. 4 hr round which was excellent.

The staff was tremendous that led to an enjoyable experience.

Would have liked to know that the greens had been aerated and you couldn't putt.

Overall great experience.

Lots of fun, but the greens were really bad. Lack of grass was startling on a few greens.

Something happens here used to be my favorite course in Myrtle Beach. Needs a lot of TLC to bring it back./

Really disappointed in the one hole being closed.

Kind of upset with the condition of the greens. Closing the Par 3 (Augusta #12) made it even worse. Understanding they are trying to save the green.

Just and overall great experience, staff and course are both high class.

Upon arriving the course was described as pristine but most of the greens were horrible. The pace of play was miserable. Drop areas were not clearly marked. Overall for golf it was NOT AT ALL worth the price of admission. I own a condo in the area and would not return and all of the people I know will be told that this course is a tourist trap.

Starters and Rangers were awesome

Overall everything was very good. The condition of the greens was fair at best which took away from the rest of the experience.

Overall nice experience. Greens not really in very good shape. marshalls were all very nice also pro shop staff was awesome. I would come back and play again but I was a little disappointed for the green conditions for the money we paid to play there. Practice facilities were top-notch. great hot dogs by the way, Again other than the greens it is a top-notch experience for players of all handicap levels

Excellent practice areas

The overall experience was professional and the service at all levels was excellent.

It's unfortunate to see this golf course go through some tough times. The fairways and tees were in fine shape, but the greens just didn't have the same quality. Bumpy, spotty, and uneven. The staff was very nice from beginning to end.

Excellent idea on creating some of the most challenging holes out there!!! Awesome design and will definitely be returning again!!

The staff were tremendous, and the course was perfect. My favorite was hole 7, but all were great!

Really wanted to enjoy my experience here but 2 reasons got in the way of that. The greens (approx. 50% of them) were in terrible shape with little or no grass on them (Augusta #12 was an example). The worst part of the day was the 5 hours and 40 minutes it took to play because the club is more interested in making money by overbooking and having tee times too close together. We waited on every shot from tee to green on every hole. Ironically we saw a marshal drive by every other hole. If you put too many players on the course at once, there is no need for marshals to monitor pace of play! On a positive note, the clubhouse, restaurant and practice facility were all nice. Nothing will bring me back here unfortunately due to the SLOW play.

Good course.

I played with my 15 year old son, and both of us were treated great. All staff were exceptional. All around awesome experience.

Greens were fast which is excellent.

Every hole was a signature hole.

I always feel like a VIP at this course.

The course was in great shape, a lot of fun to play. The staff was fantastic, a must play!

We had very windy conditions but the pins were placed in the most difficult locations on almost every green. This did not result in an enjoyable game. The pin setter should have taken the predicted windy conditions into consideration when setting the pins. We waited 20 minutes to start our back nine because of the 2 Tee start. After waiting 20 minutes the starter interjected a twosome before we hit off and we had to wait another 10 minutes. He said the proshop had made a mistake and he had the authority to put the twosome in place. Very unprofessional when he could have put the twosome behind us because the group behind hadn't yet got to the tee.

I wish I could say our experience today was as it has always been in the past but I can't. We arrived early and took advantage of the driving range and putting green after we paid the very pleasant personnel inside the clubhouse. We went back to the area where the starter was and he informed us we were 10 minutes earlier than we were told and we would have to go away and come back. A few minutes later another starter came and told us to start on the Champion course so we proceeded over. We were just about to tee off and here comes ANOTHER employee up the cart path asking our name and our start time. He informed me that it was not yet our start time and I informed him that we were instructed to proceed by the starter. Our guy on the tee box didn't know what he was to do and the guy finally said 'well if that's what he told you go ahead'. For the next few holes there was a 'marshal' passing by and we were continually feeling as thought we were about to be 'scolded' again. These first three guys were rude and disrespectful. It ruined our first four holes until we finally quit seeing those rude men. It was a pleasure in the last hour when we saw Rich approach us. He was very pleasant and the guys who cleaned our clubs and took our clubs to our car were very nice. Jim brought our clubs out and I thanked him for at least ending our day pleasantly. It was also disappointing to us because we had invited friends to join us and this experience was not as I had described it to them before the day began.

Great time.

Course was very well maintained. Challenging, yet very enjoyable. Loved the feeling of playing famous holes from around the world. Have, and will continue, to recommend to all my friends and family visiting the area.

A hole layout along with the hole posting pics.

Staff was extremely helpful. Complimentary range balls was a huge plus. Ample space to warm up and practice chipping and putting.

The course was challenging for higher handicap golfers, especially the Open Championship. We enjoyed our round though and reading about what inspired each hole.

Great Course had lots of fun. Staff was great.

Great course can't wait to come back and play again.

Fantastic layout a must play in Myrtle Beach will be back next trip.

Great course cant wait to return staff was great.

Great shape a little wet. Staff was great.

Cant wait to play again staff was great!

What an absolute treat!!! Best value on the Beach! Staff was super friendly and made us feel like touring pros! Highly recommend!

This was my first experience playing in Myrtle Beach and your course was the only one that I played. We were visiting our son and your course was awesome!

It was unique in that the holes were modeled after famous holes around the world. The course was challenging, but there was definitely some residual water from the recent storms. There were many times when we expected the ball to bounce, but it stuck in the mud instead.

Waited over a half hour for a cart. Finished in the dark due to slow play.

Course was extremely wet because it got lots of rain and did not drain well. Staff is very accommodating. Always a fun visit.

They put some kind of fertilizer down while we were playing (that) smelled awful and got all over our shoes, balls, and clubs. The course itself is a gem.

Everything was great! Will definitely be back again ... Some of the best and hardest hole I have played ... Love the challenge!!

Staff, grounds, etc. were all excellent and the complimentary driving range balls were much appreciated. This will be one of our repeat courses yearly, while on vacation!

The staff was great and very personable. We felt like VIP guest. Thank you for the great service.

Service was first rate. Course was in very good condition. One of my favorites in Myrtle Beach.

Course in great condition. Staff friendly and helpful. Course not crowded on day we played. Finished round in 4 hours.

I would like to have known exactly how the holes are the same as or different from the one they were made as.

All around great day with courteous professional staff. Really enjoyed it and would do it again. And the on line deal couldn't be beat.

From the time I pulled into the parking lot until I left I felt like I was a pro. My game wasn't but the staff and course was amazing.

They made me feel like I was the only person there. Great job in customer relations.

Wish they had not been mowing as much while we played. They were mowing during the high paying time.

Everyone made me feel like a touring pro. The experience was great. The course was a little less than expected, but overall a great experience. I would definitely recommend it to all to experience it.

Liked everything.

Staff excellent. Course in average condition, nothing like it was several years ago. I no longer view this as a premium course. The greens fairways and tees all need work to get it back where it used to be. Sure hope the owners won't continue to let the course go down.

Great golf course a must play.

Great course great condition staff was outstanding .

Great shape played in hard rock tournament. Cant wait to play again.

Great staff a must play in Myrtle Beach.

Course was in great shape I don't know what all these bad reviews were about. Cant wait to play again next week.

The conditions did not warrant a $91 green fee.

Worst course in myrtle beach, phone call for a tee time and the person on the other end got our name wrong.... Went to change it with the bag drop attendant, He said have to go with the name on the tee time, but I said its not my name.... He said everybody got a name....nothing I can do. Went to the practice area to hit a few balls, was left behind by the starter who took the other twosome waiting....had to figure it out on a crowded no 1 tee box. The holes only slightly resembled the originals. No. 9 had 9 to 10 huge chunks of green missing, although they where trying to repair when we left the green( nothing mentioned in club house),on the tenth hole had to go against people teeing off the same hole because the no 1 hole of the open course was under repair. A backlog of 5 groups on no 13 was the final straw (one of the Rangers said what we don't even have 5 groups out there) great course management.....not However it was the finale straw, we left vowing NEVER to return again.

IT'S JUST ANOTHER GOLF COURSE. I did not find anything special about this course and the holes say they are modeled after famous holes but if so, it's not obvious. Even the hole that says it's the 17th at Sawgrass, was not that similar. The greens are not in good shape for April. I have played all winter at Myrtle Beach and there are many better courses for the money, this course is overpriced. The staff is excellent but I found the course lacking maintenance and character. I did like seeing this course but I will not hurry back. One course is closed except for one hole which is used as a substitute for another hole on the Championship Nine.

This course is amazing. As an experienced golfer this place brought chills as to how much the holes resembled their inspirations. Staff is amazing and helpful and the course is in great shape for a long and wet winter.

I had a great time...was honestly about the most fun I've had playing golf in a while. It's a 1st class facility. Well worth the money.

Love a sampling of some of the best memorable holes in golf.

Loved the entire course.

The course was fun to play. The clubhouse was beautiful. Cold mint towels were an excellent touch at the end of a hot day. I didn't play well, but still enjoyed the course. The price to play was a little high, I was able to play 3 other courses on this trip that were similar in condition or better for $15-20 less.

Everyone was super nice, but Mike, with water cart, definately went above and beyond. Thanks for a great visit, see you next year.

Beautiful course. If not for recently aerified greens it would have been immaculate.

Greens were the best I've played this trip. They were hard but we have similar issues on my home course. The starter was superb. Rain dampened the back nine but I will return.

Very poorly marked in fairways. Need many more yardage markers on the course.

Really enjoyed the layout, and the difference in difficulty of a pro course versus a regular one was apparent in the reaction of the ball (hit short and stop, hit with no spin and roll out, putts were tricky to read)

This course was an absolute joke. Not only was the course in horrible condition, but when I talked to the manager about my disappointment, he said I was the only one to complain. Then he called in the head grounds keeper to try and prove me wrong but the grounds keeper totally agreed with me! (laughed pretty hard on the inside.) So since the manager was put on the spot he gave me 3 - 18 hole rain checks. But when I tried to book it the next year...(just to use as practice rounds), they acted like they knew nothing about it. When the manager was called upon to verify, he said he couldn't remember therefore was not going to honor what he gave me. (a total jerk). Doesn't matter, the course is real gimmicky doesn't look anything like the championship holes they're trying to duplicate. Service is below average. And I will never tolerate anyone calling me a liar. Wouldn't play this course if you paid my way. I have been going to Myrtle Beach for over 25 years and there are too many other awesome courses to play instead of this crappy joke of a course.

Enjoyed my day at World Tour much more so than my round tuesday at TPC Myrtle Beach. Keep up the good work.

Staff was nice, attentive and made us feel like they wanted us there. Great layout, especially starting hole, wide open Scottish style. Carts and GPS were good too. Clubhouse was very nice. Fairway in really good shape, despite all the rain lately. Greens were punched a couple of weeks prior, so they were a little hard. Website did not accommodate iPhone. Should have been informed prior to booking International was closed. Overall great experience and would go back.

Excellent course in great condition manned by great and friendly staff

Everything about this course was amazing. We had a fantastic time playing this beautiful course !! It wasn't just a day on the links, it was great memories made. The remake of the famous holes around the world kept us all wondering which club was going to be pulled from the bag for the next challenging shot. Greens, absolutely pristine. I have nothing negative to say about World Tour. Thanks again for a great round of golf !!

Great condition, greens fast and firm, very friendly staff, good value. Plan to play again this week.

Very nice experience. It was fun to read about the inspirations for each of the holes. Very friendly staff.

Staff was great. Play got a little slow late afternoon. Overall a good day of golf on a decent course.

Good place to play. The Open nine and the Championship nine were in very good condition, but in the International nine, some greens were in bad shape.

Great layout. Liked the brass plaques on each hole they made the holes a little more interesting. You did a fair job of duplicating the look of the famous holes. Greens were nice, didn't hold the best but understandable because they are new. My favorite hole is English Turn #15 par 5 is a beautiful hole, didn't do well on it but liked it course was fairly empty with no one behind us. But we saw the ranger several times I don't like feeling rushed and that's what happens when I see one. On our last hole the ranger came onto our green was standing in my line. I didn't know what the hell he wanted or what he was doing. Then he walked over and tended the flag; he might be a nice guy but we thought that was intrusive. Will come back again; would like to be permitted to bring a cooler so I can save some bucks on drinks.

Liked everything about the course except the International 9's greens and traps were pretty rough, but we were told in advance they were about to redo them. All in all awesome experience.

It would have been nice to know what the course conditions were instead of being told great when greens were poor.

A little backed up but awesome layout.

Open 9 was in great shape. International 9 was not in good shape. Championship 9 was not open. Redoing the greens. Would not play there until Championship 9 is open. Then it is definitely worth it because Open 9 was fantastic.

World Tour is an experience. From the passport pickup at front gate to the tremendous clubhouse, the attendants bagboys, shop people, starters, etc. they all treat you like you are a member. Loved the GPS and hole overviews in carts. Course is interesting and fun. Only drawback was the 2 inches of rain that fell right before we played. Delayed 1 hour and half. Fairways were like mush after this and ruined many shots. Greens are hard to evaluate as International 9 had old greens and these were horrible. However, the Open 9 had new greens and these were awesome. Loved st Andrews holes, took picture by Swilken Bridge. Great experience but this place is way overpriced. That's where your website saves the day with 48-hour promotional rates. Kudos to you as I would have been reluctant to book this course otherwise. Pro shop has great selection and some sales. Bartender entertaining during the rain delay was great. Would play again but only through your web site. Group we were paired up with had also booked with your web site.

World Tour acted like they were busy on the phone when I asked if we would be paired up. When we got there they weren't and they tried to pair us up. The starter then said OK and grabbed the pair he tried to add to our group and two stragglers and made us wait and wait and wait. They were not busy and this really sucked time from our vacation. The group played from the back tees when they really should have been on red. There was no group in front of them and they wouldn't allow us to play through. On the back nine the starter lined everyone up to go out in the same nine when it was evident of an ominous storm approaching. On the 9th hole the groundskeeper drove up on the green when we were approaching and sprayed water the entire time we were putting. The holes were inspired by real courses but not exactly like the holes. The course was 20 more than Arrowhead, which is in excellent condition and caters to vacationers' wants compared to World Tour.

A very enjoyable experience. The staff was great and very helpful and the course was first-class. We all agreed it was the best we played over the weekend and in very good shape. Some of the greens were ridiculously hard and challenging.

Cart girl and the folks who checked us in and handled our bags were great. The fellow that took our tee time in the pro shop does not know a golf course that is good, obviously. Greens way too long and slow, sand traps had no sand and were hard, some greens had winter kill, etc. Not worth $80.00; played 6 courses before that were much better for $30.00. Too bad, this was a great course 5 years ago.

Pin placements were difficult.

Excellent pro shop and grill with very nice staff. That sure changed when we got outside. Course was a big disappointment and the outside staff was terrible.

The greens were horrible. The worst I ever played on. The fairways were not blown off. Many lumps of grass. Called pro shop to complain and they really did not care as they already had my money. I will never play here again and I will make sure that my friends also know the poor condition of the course. Not worth the money at all.

Nice, except that two greens out of 27 were in very bad shape due to the heat.

Replications were well done and realistic ... the course needs some attention in conditioning but otherwise met our expectations ... we played from the tips and enjoyed the experience ... greens were slow but we understood that you don't want them to burn out ... we'd come again.

Always great to play.

Worst condition of the courses we played this winter, fairways and greens (the bunkers were awful). Service and staff are great, but the course was in very bad condition.

I am a local and play all over the beach. My friends who visited wanted to play. So we gave it a try. World Tour has the best staff service overall. The greens, which are bentgrass, are not up to their usual high standards, however compared to other bentgrass in the area, they are fantastic. Barefoot bent greens are bad (we played there too). If you want a good day of golf with a country club feel, I would give it a try.

I went here with a group of 12 last weekend for a bachelor party. First they tried telling us we only paid for 11, and were quite rude about it (wouldn't let us tee off), but when we showed 12 receipts they simply gave our money back (after we paid for a 13th!). Not to mention the course is in HORRIBLE condition. The setup is nice, but the greens are in terrible shape (one even had sod on it!) and the fairways were also not in great shape. We played at 3 other courses on this weekend trip and all were cheaper AND WAY better for your $$. I do NOT recommend this course.

(Would like to have known prior to playing the) condition of the greens.

For the price to play we were disapointed as there was no improvements from the first time we played when it opened. Also, I didn't like that when we dropped our bags off they took them down to another area where they were loaded and then when we were done they said they would clean our clubs and didn't then they were transported up to bag drop area so we could load them ... we don't mind tipping for the service but I think tipping 4 times is a bit much.

The course was great, a little wet but the course can't control that. It was 90 degree rule with the carts, so the course is taken care of. The ambassador was great. $134.00 is a little pricey for Feb.

Great course. Too bad the sun was not out and the course was so wet. Can't control mother nature.

Very nice course. A shame it was so wet. A couple of greens were in poor condition, making the $109 price tag a bit expensive for December.

Have never been so spoiled

Absolutely a must-play! The course was in great condition. Obviously, having an opportunity to play the different famous holes was very fun and challenging. I took my 10-year-old and we had lots of fun talking about the memorable moments he had seen on TV from those holes. Despite how good the course was, what separates World Tour from the rest is the customer service. I've never seen anything like it. It was almost too good to be true. From the time we got there, we were made to feel like we were the most important people there. From the bag service to free range balls to getting clubs cleaned after the round to cold towels after the round, the attention just kept coming. Our ambassador was exceptional! He performed as if he was assigned solely to us. My son hasn't stopped talking about it. This was our first visit to World Tour and will now be the cornerstone of every Myrtle Beach vacation from this point forward. Thanks for making this such a memorable trip!

Excellent condition. The grill was a bit overpriced; very friendly staff.

The fairways are very wet.

under poor weather conditions the course held up well.

Best golfing experience ever. I will be returning soon!

Great! Ned a booklet before teeing off to tell about each hole.

Staff was excellent. The course needs to be ready for play a little earlier in the morning. Too much equipment running everywhere. Greens were very slow. It was fun to play a lot of fun to play all those replica holes.

Outstanding service & put forth extra effort to accommodate the golfers. First class facility & am recommending to all who are going to Myrtle to make sure it's on their list to play.

The Myrtle Beach Classic, a new event on the PGA Tour’s schedule, debuts at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club this week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

It’s the third of five opposite field, or “additional” events, as the PGA Tour officially calls them, on the 2024 schedule. The main event on Tour this week is the limited-field Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Billy Horschel is on the original Myrtle Beach Classic field list, announced last Friday. He won the last opposite-field event two weeks in the Dominican Republic. There are currently 38 PGA Tour winners in the tournament, including Erik van Rooyen and Brandt Snedeker.

The Dunes Club previously hosted the PGA Tour Champions season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship from 1994 to 1999. It was also the host venue for PGA Tour Q-School Finals in 1973, when Ben Crenshaw took medalist honors.

Former world No. 1 amateur, vexed PGA Tour veteran from S.C. among Myrtle Beach Classic qualifiers

Four players advanced through a 57-player Monday qualifier at TPC Myrtle Beach into the tournament that begins Thursday

world tour golf course myrtle beach sc

With sale complete, Sea Trail Golf Resort getting millions in improvements and a new management company

One of myrtle beach’s premier golf courses has been sold to an industry titan. what it means for the property, what the tournament operator, director have planned for the pga tour’s new myrtle beach classic, how a historic golf property south of myrtle beach has been revitalized, and what’s next.

MURRELLS INLET | Being a South Carolina resident with a PGA Tour victory and more than $11.45 million earned in 279 career tour events, William McGirt figured he’d be a prime candidate for a sponsor exemption into the Myrtle Beach Classic from tournament officials.

But as he saw 12 sponsor exemptions awarded, including to seven players with ties to South Carolina – many with lesser resumes – McGirt realized he would have to earn his way into the area’s inaugural $4 million PGA Tour event.

That he did, and he did it in spectacular fashion in the Monday qualifier at TPC Myrtle Beach.

Needing an eagle on the par-5 18th hole to get into a playoff for the fourth and final qualifying spot, McGirt caught a fortuitous break when his tee shot bounced off a tree into the fairway, then hit a downwind 3-wood over water from 278 yards to 15 feet and made the eagle putt to shoot a 5-under-par 67. He birdied the first playoff hole to advance.

“It would have been nice to get one, let’s put it that way,” McGirt said of a sponsor exemption. “I was very much [perturbed]. . . . I was like, ‘I’m going to go earn my way into it.’ And fortunately I hit a hell of a 3-wood and hell of a putt to get into the playoff, and I made birdie, but Mickey definitely helped me out in the playoff.“

McGirt defeated Liberty alum Mickey DeMorat of Florida on the first hole of the playoff (the 18th) after DeMorat put two shots in the water. Virginia native Brandon Berry won the 57-player qualifier with a 9-under 63, while PGA Tour veteran Brian Davis of England and former world No. 1 amateur Braden Thornberry also earned Thursday tee times at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club with 66s.

McGirt, 44, had his 11-year-old son Mac on his bag Monday, but will hire another caddie since Mac is too young to caddie in a PGA Tour event.

“It’s a calming voice,” McGirt said. “Ninety-five to 98 percent of his golf is played with me. When we’re home I mean we play all the time. So it’s just familiarity, having somebody to talk to and occasionally somebody to tell you to get your head right. It’s just a lot of fun being able to share the experiences with him. He’s caddied in three, four or five Monday qualifiers for me now and he’s starting to get the hang of it.”

McGirt reached the par-4 16th hole at 4 under and made bogey after his approach shot into a stiff wind on the par-4 came up short in the rough, then he made a key par on the par-3 17th after pulling his tee shot left of the green. “I had a hell of an up-and-down on 17,” McGirt said. “I made a 6- or 7-foot curler to even have a chance on 18.“

He pulled his tee shot left on the 18th hole towards trees and an out-of-bounds fence.

“It didn’t hit [the tree] hard, I thought it went through it. I thought, ‘Yep, here we go, it’s going to go right through it and go out of bounds,’ then I see something bounce in the fairway and I went, ‘Really?’ I told [Mac], ‘Let’s go take advantage of it.’

“. . . We had 278 to the hole and it was probably one of the top five 3-woods I’ve ever hit in my life to about 15 feet, and I swear the putt, I thought was going to stay high, then when it started turning I thought it was going to turn completely out and it caught the hole and somehow went in.”

McGirt is a native of Fairmont, N.C., which is about an hour’s drive from Myrtle Beach and close to the S.C. border. The 20-year pro has lived in South Carolina essentially since he enrolled at Wofford College and he now lives in Bluffton.

“I get to play in front of some family and friends on a golf course I absolutely love,” McGirt said. “I haven’t played it in maybe 27 years, but the few times I’ve played it I absolutely love it. It’s a fantastic golf course.”

McGirt’s PGA Tour win came in the 2016 Memorial Tournament and his three runner-up finishes came at the 2015 Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi and 2012-13 Canadian Opens.

McGirt had two left hip surgeries within a year of each other in 2018 and ’19 in an attempt to repair a labrum and bone-on-bone condition, and it kept him from competitive golf for about two years.

“The last four years since I’ve come back from the two hip surgeries . . . it’s just been a lot more down than it’s been up, but the positive side of missing two years and having hip surgery was getting to be home with (two children) and watching them grow up,” said McGirt, who years ago played in the Father & Son Team Classic on the Grand Strand with his father. “I’m kind of at a point now where me playing golf is a whole lot less important to me than watching them grow up and taking [Mac] to his tournaments and caddying for him.”

McGirt played for six months in 2018 knowing surgery was looming, he said in part because he was unsure what medical extension he would receive from the tour, and he made less than $1 million in earnings that season in 26 events with three top-10s.

“The last four months it was miserable,” McGirt said. “I couldn’t sleep because every time I moved it would wake me up. There were times it felt like somebody was jamming a knife in my hip.”

Since his return to the highest levels of competition in 2021, he has missed 28 of 49 cuts on the PGA Tour with a top finish of a tie for eighth at the 2022 Travelers Championship, and four of six Korn Ferry Tour cuts. He is 0-for-2 in cuts on the Korn Ferry this year, and 1-for-2 on the PGA Tour, with a tie for 43rd three weeks ago in the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic.

He is fully exempt on the Korn Ferry Tour based on his PGA Tour status for this year only, he said. “But it ain’t my idea of fun. I’ll go play some out there but I don’t see me playing anywhere close to a full schedule,” he said.

McGirt still feels pain occasionally in his hip, especially on hilly courses.

“It’s just something I’m going to deal with for the rest of my life. I’m delaying a new hip as long as I can. I want to keep the original parts as long as I can,” McGirt said. “. . . I’m at the point now to where if I walked off 18 on Sunday afternoon and hoisted a trophy, it would be a hell of a way to go out if I turned and walked away.”

Thornberry carries heavy resume

Thornberry, 27, is a Mississippi native and resident. He has been a regular member of the Korn Ferry Tour largely since he turned pro in the middle of his senior season at Ole Miss, where he was the winningest player in program history with 11 tournament victories, including the 2017 NCAA national individual title.

He won the 2017 Haskins Award as the top college golfer and 2018 Mark H. McCormack Medal as the world’s top amateur.

Thornberry has played in 10 PGA Tour events and his best showing came as an amateur with a tie for fourth in the 2017 FedEx St. Jude Classic in Memphis, Tenn.

This year, Thornberry has made four of nine Korn Ferry cuts with a top finish of 38th.

His fiancee, Grace, was caddying for him Monday.

“I’m excited about it,” Thornberry said. “I’ve been telling everybody it’s been close lately. I’ve been hitting it really well and usually putting is my strength and lately it’s been I wouldn’t say a struggle because I’m not missing any of the shorter putts, I’m just not making any of those extra 10-, 15-, 20-footers that you’d like to make, and today I actually made a couple of them so it’s nice to get a little momentum and hopefully roll it into this week.”

His 101-year-old great grandmother, Edna Winkler, has lived in Surfside Beach for more than 40 years, so he’s been a regular visitor to and golfer on the Grand Strand.

“We used to come pretty much every year so I’ve probably been here 10 or 15 times and played the TPC three or four times including last March,” Thornberry said. “It’s nice to kind of be comfortable with the area and know some stuff.”

Others gain entry

Berry, 25, the 2021 Patriot League medalist while playing at Loyola Maryland, shot a scintillating bogey-free 9-under 63 Monday.

He played holes three through seven 5-under par with an eagle on the par-5 sixth, and closed with birdies on four of the final five holes.

Berry has just one PGA Tour and one Korn Ferry tour start, both this year.

Davis, 49, is a veteran of 385 PGA Tour events. He has two international victories and five PGA Tour runner-up finishes, including the 2010 RBC Heritage in Hilton Head Island when he called a penalty on himself in a hazard to the left of the 18th green while in a playoff with Jim Furyk.

Bishopville native and Hartsville resident Tommy ‘Two Gloves’ Gainey,  a winner of the PGA Tour’s 2012 McGladrey Classic, was 1-under par through seven holes of the qualifier when he was pulled off the course by officials after gaining entry in the Myrtle Beach Classic as an alternate.
