Emmylou Harris Bio

A 14-time Grammy winner and  Billboard  Century Award recipient, Emmylou Harris’ contribution as a singer and songwriter spans 40 years. She has recorded more than 25 albums and has lent her talents to countless fellow artists’ recordings. In recognition of her remarkable career, Harris was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008 and earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award in 2018.

Harris is known as much for her eloquently straightforward songwriting as for her incomparably expressive singing.  Admired through her career for her talent as an artist and song connoisseur, Harris shook up country radio in the 1970s, and established herself as the premiere songwriter of a generation selling more than 15 million records and garnering 14 Grammy Awards, three CMA Awards, and four Americana Awards.

Harris is one of the most admired and influential women in music. She has recorded with such diverse artists as Linda Ronstadt, Daniel Lanois, Bob Dylan, Mark Knopfler, Neil Young, Gram Parsons, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison, Ryan Adams, Beck, Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, Lucinda Williams, Lyle Lovett and Rodney Crowell. Few artists have achieved such honesty or have revealed such maturity in their writing. Forty years into her career, Harris continues to share the hard-earned wisdom that—hopefully if not inevitably—comes with getting older, though she’s never stopped looking ahead.

A longtime social activist, Harris has lent her voice to many causes.  Most passionately to animal welfare.  In 2004 she established Bonaparte's Retreat with the goal of rescuing shelter dogs and adopting them into forever homes. To this day, Bonaparte's Retreat continues to save dogs most in need at Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control and at municipal shelters in surrounding counties.

BGT star Amy Lou among acts to perform as Wolverhampton stadium announces full live music line-up for 2024

A stadium in Wolverhampton has announced a full live music line-up for 2024 – including the return of Britain’s Got Talent grand finalist Amy Lou.

The Tipton singing sensation wowed a sizeable crowd with a performance in Monmore Green Stadium greyhound track’s Party Pack bar in December.

Now the 2023 BGT star will return to the venue on September 6 and tickets are once again priced at £10 for over-18s only.

Amy Lou is one of seven acts due to perform at Monmore this year, with the already-announced Dayton Grey Tribute to Soul & Motown Legends Show kicking the schedule off on March 1.

Ska and reggae duo 2 Much 2 Young are next up on June 14 before the Showtime Divas, Trixie Lee and Linda Matthews host a night of music and comedy on June 28.

After Amy Lou’s return in September, four-piece band Kick Up The 80’s take to the stage on October 25 and popular UB40 tribute act Labour of Love perform on November 29.

Stephen James and his Frankie Valli Story rounds out the year in style on December 13.

OMG I cant say enough about her. She is so down to earth she connects with you. She has stories behind her songs that can hit each one of us. She brings laughter and she brings tears. She is very genuine when she speaks. She is so down to earth she goes barefoot on stage how cool is that? She even admits when she forgets the lyrics...so cute! You gotta love Amy there is no one i would love to see in concert then Amy. Ive been to 3 so far and they were all fantastic worth every penny to get refreshed.

Wonderful time celebrating Christmas with Vince and Amy AND SURPRISE guest JORDAN SMITH! It was a time of reflection on the true meaning of Christmas along with a Snowball fight (all in great FUN) and also recognition of our military and those who have gone before us to fight so that we have this freedom to celebrate our Savior. I am already looking forward to coming back next year. Was such a great time!!!!

Amazing concert. 2+ hours of exceptional entertainment from Amy, Michael , and Jordan. Orchestra was amazing sound and backdrop. Wish they would have co tinier another few hours! Lived the way they incorporated Jordan into the show.

Bringin' sexy back! Jessica Biel , Amy Adams , Taylor Lautner , Lizzo , Scheana Shay , and more celebrities attended Justin Timberlake's concert at the Kia Forum on Saturday in Inglewood, California.

The singer, who kicked off his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour on April 29 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC after a five-year hiatus, has sold over one million tickets so far -- and now fans will have the opportunity to see him in even more cities.

On Monday, the actor announced that he will be adding nine performances to the North America leg of his tour in fall 2024.

Concertgoers can expect to be wowed by Timberlake's two-hour long show filled with back-to-back classics along with new hits from his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought I Was .

The medley-style concert features 29 fan-favorites including "My Love," "Cry Me a River," "Rock Your Body," SexyBack," "Can't Stop The Feelin'!" and more.

The night concludes with a show-stopping performance of "Mirrors" where Timberlake floats over the audience on a tilting LED screen made up of tiny mirrors and leans towards the crowd as they join him in belting out the last chorus.

Pre-sale tickets for the new shows will be available through Verizon and Citi on Tuesday, May 21 through Wednesday, May 22 and general ticket sales will be available starting Thursday, May 23 at 10 am local time on justintimberlake.com .
