Third time I’ve had the great pleasure of seeing this truly amazing band and they did not disappoint. With every tour the quality of the production gets better and better - apparently there was a restriction on using actual flames at The Forum last night but there was plenty other forms of smoke and pyromania to add to the atmosphere, as well as very cool visual set-pieces and costume changes.

They ploughed through a good chunk of their classics and cuts from the new album that fans were hoping for such as ‘God = Dog’, ‘Ecclesia Diabolica Catholica’ and ‘Bartzabel’. ‘Daimonos’ from 2009’s Evangelion was also a nice surprise and as always, they closed out with an incredible finale.

What else is there to say that many others haven’t already? A vital, life-affirming performance from a vital, life-affirming band that any self-respecting metal fan should make a point of seeing at least once.

As a brief aside, At The Gates made for a superb main support, their material speaks for itself and they had the crowd in the palm of their hand like it was 1996 all over again. Wolves In The Throne Room also showed enough to merit checking them out further.

These Top Atlanta Festivals Showcase the City’s Dazzling Food, Music and Culture

There’s always something going on in Atlanta , a city whose culinary, arts and nightlife scenes send ripples around the world. Whether you’re a first-time visitor, seasoned traveler or local, you’ll find that Atlanta highlights its best assets through food, music and cultural festivals throughout the year.

While these festivals tend to have a central focus, you can expect delicious food options and vibe-setting music at most. As far as events timing goes, you’ll find that spring and summer are the best times to visit, so put these annual events on the calendar and plan your trip accordingly.

As always, check for travel guidelines and closures before planning your trip.

Best Music Festivals

Atlanta Jazz Festival

Held in Piedmont Park, one of the city’s largest green spaces, the Atlanta Jazz Festival has been a celebration of all things jazz since 1978, with programming that highlights the genre’s importance in American culture for both longtime fans and young music lovers.

Catering to hundreds of thousands of attendees, this Atlanta music festival is free to attend and takes place over Memorial Day weekend. Famed musicians like Ray Charles, Nina Simone, Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock have previously graced its stages.

Shaky Knees Music Festival

While newer to Atlanta’s music festival calendar than the Atlanta Jazz Festival, Shaky Knees has become one of the hottest tickets of the summer.

Generally focusing on rock music, the festival showcases more than 60 artists over the course of a weekend with multiple stages in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood’s Central Park, as well as exclusive late-night shows around town.

Where to Stay: Moxy Atlanta Midtown

Best Arts Festivals

Atlanta Film Festival

Celebrating 50 years, Mellow Mushroom co-founder shares the story of the trippy pizza chain’s humble beginning

The Atlanta-based company commemorates the occasion with unique menu items, funky art, and special Pint Nights

From bright colors and psychedelic art to its slightly sweet crust, Mellow Mushroom  stands out among pizza chains. With 163 locations around the country (primarily in the Southeast), it’s hard to imagine that this funky conglomerate began with three college-aged guys with a passion for pizza. At age 76, Marc “Banks” Weinstein is the lone co-founder still involved in the business—Mike Nicholson and Rocky Reeves retired in 2008, and CEO Richard Brasch joined the team.

I met Weinstein at the Mellow Mushroom in Midtown, where he hugged the manager, indulged in cheese pizza, and reflected on the past. “We were we were hippies making pizza basically,” he says. “People liked the energy, the vibe there. A lot of creative people hung around and we became friends. Pizza is a communal food.”

behemoth tour atlanta

It was the 1970s and Weinstein had studied business marketing at the University of Georgia. He’d intended to work in real estate, but a recession changed his plans. After learning to make pizza while working at local restaurants, he secured a small space in Sandy Springs and set about building a pie shop. Around the same time, he met Nicholson and Reeves, Georgia Tech students who were also opening a pizza place—this one on 14th and Spring in Midtown. They decided to join forces.

Weinstein tweaked a recipe (the same one still used today) inspired by Nick DeVito, of Chicago. Nicholson came up with the name and the trio launched Mellow Mushroom with a concise menu of five pizzas, four hoagies, a chef salad, and beer. “The legal age for drinking was 18 back then,” Weinstein explains, noting the importance of beer. Everything was made to order, from the meatball sandwich (“nothing more than a meatloaf cut into big chunks”) to the top round (sliced in house).

A lack of funds meant equipment was purchased used and none of the furniture matched. The founders relied on friends and customers to decorate the stores, often trading pizza for artwork. “We had no money—just entrepreneurial spirit and a motivating following of friends and people in Atlanta who loved our products,” Weinstein says. One guy designed the menu, another the logo, and another painted the mural on the wall. Beer companies donated neon signs.

Sustainability was a focus from the start. “We were a bunch of hippies,” Weinstein says. They grew sprouts in the restaurants and used natural cardboard pizza boxes since bleaching them white would harm the environment. Today, Mellow Mushroom boasts all-natural meats, preservative-free cheese, and pizza boxes with a negative carbon footprint.

How did it grow from two tiny stores—”Spring Street fit 19 people uncomfortably,” Weinstein reminisces—to the franchise behemoth it is today? Organic growth, he says. His partners dropped out of college and seized opportunities for new locations as they became available. For 12 years, they operated the original six Mellow Mushrooms—including locations in Buckhead, Midtown, Sandy Springs, Avondale Estates, on Buford Highway, and near Emory—but they ran into difficulty staffing. “There were no cell phones, and we couldn’t be in six places at once,” Weinstein laments. By year 13, he convinced his partners to franchise. Five of the stores sold within 45 days. A bidding war over the sixth resulted in the launch of the seventh store, and the company grew from there.

Today, there are three corporate-owned stores; Weinstein purchased the Emory location last year to fund much-needed renovations. Dough for every store comes from a commissary kitchen at the corporate headquarters. A 75,000-square-foot warehouse is home to the psychedelic art and fixtures Mellow Mushroom is known for. From colorful statues to mushroom clocks to unique door handles, Weinstein sources many of the items himself. Whether a franchisee is opening a new store, renovates an existing one, or is looking for some new decor, they can come to the warehouse and select items free of charge. Mellow Mushroom will even paint them upon request.

behemoth tour atlanta

These days, Weinstein spends half the year in Thailand working remotely. When he’s in town, he still enjoys a “Veg Out” pizza every Thursday “to stay young,” he jokes. He taste-tests new menu items, assists with quality control, and lets Brasch handle the day-to-day. He has children and grandchildren, yet he never plans to retire completely. “I think you when you stop, you’re going to start resting [permanently]. So, I would just like to wear out,” he says .

It’s been 50 years, and though the menu and store footprint have expanded, the spirit of Mellow Mushroom remains. To commemorate the golden jubilee, the company launched a limited-time menu featuring specialty and revived classic pizzas, honey-sriracha wings, and a Disco Peach cocktail made with Jim Beam bourbon, Captain Morgan spiced rum, peach, fresh sour mix, and Coca-Cola. There are new pizza box designs, branded cups and T-shirts, and giveaways. Select locations will host a Pint Night with collectible 50th anniversary pint glasses from June through September.

In early fall, Mellow Mushroom will open a new prototype store near the Atlanta Zoo in Grant Park. It’s a return to the company’s roots with a smaller footprint and condensed menu offerings. Look for a baked “panizzi” sandwich made with folded pizza dough.

“I still love pizza,” Weinstein says.

Chuck Leavell leaves his Middle Georgia farm to tour with the Stones

behemoth tour atlanta

During a recent week off from the Rolling Stones’ current U.S. tour, the band’s keyboardist and musical director wasn’t lounging around at a swanky resort or jetting off to a private island retreat. Those hedonistic pursuits are for pampered rock stars. For Twiggs County-based multi-instrumentalist Chuck Leavell, the break was much better spent resting in his own studio in the Middle Georgia town of Dry Branch.

“This is my resort. Why would I want to go anywhere else?” said the affable musician during a recent phone chat. “I get to check on our projects out here in the woods, because we’ll be harvesting this season. It’s just nice to see things around here and be a family guy for a minute.”

Watch: He is known for multiple instruments, but he once played concert tuba

In addition to his duties as co-owner of a tree farm , Leavell, 72, routinely has a heaping helping of other projects on his plate. This year, in addition to his duties with the Stones, he has made time for a few other musical performances, most notably club gigs with old pals Warren Haynes, Ivan Neville and Duane Betts in New Orleans.

Although he’s called Georgia home since 1970, Leavell grew up in Alabama and is making plans to honor his Southern heritage for an upcoming recording concept.

“Since I have roots in both places, we have an idea to do a kind of a tribute to the history of music from both states. Of course, it’s wonderful to have Macon’s Capricorn space back up and running. I’ve been doing some work there with various things, and that’s certainly where I would start the next projects.”

His association with the legendary Capricorn Records has endured since the early ‘70s, beginning with his early studio sessions with the label’s fledgling roster, including Alex Taylor and Gregg Allman. In 1973, after the tragic deaths of band members Duane Allman and Berry Oakley, Leavell joined the Allman Brothers Band, and his distinctive keyboard style is featured on many of their most popular recordings. Then, as the Brothers began to splinter in the mid-70s, he led the Allman-bred rock and jazz-fusion side-project Sea Level. By 1982, the Stones had invited him to join their touring band, further adding star-power to his impressive resume.

Yet, as much as Leavell is celebrated for his musicianship, he is equally revered for his work in conservation and sustainable tree farming. His tree farm and homeplace Charlane Woodlands & Preserve was launched when his wife Rose Lane Leavell inherited an estate in the early 1980s. Their spread has since sprawled to encompass around 4000 acres including protected forest and lodges where they regularly host art and hunting retreats.

Along the way, the couple and their staff have been lauded for their farming practices and conservancy efforts, including two honors as Georgia Tree Farmers of the Year. In 2012, Leavell received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy as well as an Honorary Forest Ranger award from the United States Forest Service.

“I always say I’m just as honored to get a music award as I am whenever we get recognized for conservation,” he said. “I love both worlds pretty much equally, even though they are so totally different.”

Leavell has shared his know-how with the publishing world, producing several books on tree farming, conservancy and smart growth. Later this year, he plans to update his 2004 memoir, “Between Rock and a Home Place,” further detailing the fruits of his dual pursuits.

For several years now, he’s been working on the PBS television series “America’s Forests with Chuck Leavell.” Shot on location, each episode focuses on the forests and preservations efforts in a given location. Plans are in the works to expand the series with a new installment of episodes.

Meanwhile, the 2020 documentary “Chuck Leavell — The Tree Man” directed by Allen Farst is streaming on a variety of digital services including Prime Video, The Roku Channel and Pluto TV.

But at the moment, Leavell’s busy calendar is centered around performance dates with his “British brethren” the Rolling Stones, touring in support of their recently released “Hackney Diamonds” album.

Joining Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ron Wood on stage are bassist Darryl Jones, drummer Steve Jordan and additional keyboardist Matt Clifford. Saxophonists Karl Denson and Tim Ries plus vocalists Bernard Fowler and Chanelle Haynes round out the talented troupe.

Sponsored by AARP, the tour kicked off in late April in Houston with a set list that included “Beast of Burden,” “Tumbling Dice,” “Sympathy for the Devil” and “Paint It Black.” Having last played Atlanta in 2021, the band is slated to return on June 7 to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

behemoth tour atlanta

“Every time we’ve played in the state of Georgia has been an incredibly special show,” said Leavell. “I always get a very, very warm reception when I’m introduced, too, so it’s pretty much like playing at home. I feel the energy from the audience, and all the guys love Atlanta as well. It’s like playing in my backyard!”

As musical director of the tour, Leavell helps set the tone for the show.

“Mick and Keith are the main musical directors of the Rolling Stones,” he said diplomatically, “But I try to work hard to help create the (set) list and arrangements during the rehearsal process, making sure we all know the tunes and so forth.”

Everyone has input on the set list, and creating one is no easy task, considering the Stones’ vast catalog.

“You want to have the familiar songs and all the things that people love and want to hear,” he continued. “But we do have a new record out, so it’s important to include things from it. But it’s also good to try to go with some deep tracks every now and then and include some really unusual things. The fans notice.”

The band has prepared 60 or 70 songs for this tour, which Leavell said is pretty standard, adding that rehearsals are his favorite time with the band.

“We’re exploring the deep catalog, trying some things out, knowing that we’re experimenting to see what feels good and what works best,” he said. “You want to see what works best in any given category, whether it’s the iconic songs, ballads, country-flavored songs or soul and R&B.”

Leavell considers his tenure with the band a natural progression of his own extensive musical exploration. “I started playing music because I truly loved to play, then I got into the Capricorn world, joined the Allmans and this Stones gig came along. I thought it might last three, four or five years — at the most,” he said. “Little did I think in my wildest dreams, 42 years later I’d still be doing this with the Rolling Stones. It’s a true blessing.”

He paused, seeming to reflect for a moment. “Look, the thing is, none of us take this for granted,” he continued. “The fact is, I think all of us could be doing other things and we’d survive and be just fine, but the fact that the Stones want to play their music for people and to keep on creating new stuff, it’s just remarkable.”

With a nod toward deceased Stones drummer Charlie Watts and Dickie Betts, guitarist-singer-songwriter for the Allman Brothers, Leavell said, “Of course, we all miss our former bandmates. I think we bring them along with us, every single time we play. I truly believe that, and I feel them, so that fact makes it a real honor to continue to be a part of it all. It lifts our spirits to look out there and see all the seats filled with people clapping their hands and moving to the music with smiles on their faces. That’s pretty much why we all keep doing it.”

Atlanta United 2 Hosts Divisional Foe Crown Legacy FC on Friday Night

ATLUTD2_20240508_ATLvsCAR_JCA_5422

Atlanta United 2 returns home to take on divisional rival Crown Legacy FC on Friday night, May 31. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be streamed on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. Fans can also tune in to the Soccer Down Here audio stream.

Tickets to the match can be found HERE .

Scouting Report Crown Legacy FC comes into the match sitting in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with 14 points and a 3-3-3 record. The Charlotte FC affiliate club has kept its matches close this season, having scored 15 goals and conceded 14 for a +1 goal differential through nine matches. The challenge for Atlanta will be containing scoring opportunities, not just from one player, but as a whole, as Crown Legacy has eight different goal scorers this season and eleven different players adding assists. Aron John and Nicholas Scardina have been the tip of the offensive spear, so containing those offensive weapons will be crucial for ATL UTD 2 to pick up three points.

Last Time Out ATL UTD 2 returns to Fifth Third Stadium following a two-match road trip that concluded on May 25 against Chattanooga FC. Atlanta battled its rival club out to a 2-2 come-from-behind draw, its first of the season, before falling 5-3 on penalties. Luke Brennan got the scoring started for Atlanta in just the ninth minute after pressuring Chattanooga’s backline and forcing a turnover in the box. Brennan collected the ball at the endline and chipped a shot over Chattanooga’s keeper for an early 1-0 lead. Chattanooga turned things around in the second half, finding an equalizer early after the halftime break before they took a 2-1 lead in the 87th minute. Atlanta wasn’t done fighting, however, as Jacob Williams drew a crucial penalty kick in the 93rd minute which Javier Armas converted to take the match into a penalty shootout. The two sides traded successful penalties before Williams had his attempt saved up the middle, as ATL UTD 2 fell in the shootout 5-3.

Previous Meeting Atlanta United 2 holds a 1-2-0 (W-L-D) record against Crown Legacy FC, with the last meeting between the two squads ending in a 3-1 victory for Atlanta at Fifth Third Stadium last August. Noah Cobb, Nelson Orji and Nick Firmino all found the back of the net in that contest.

How Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah makes his money

They are not the numbers that matter, those that will define a Liverpool legacy, but quietly filed in March were the figures that helped illustrate Mohamed Salah ’s value in a different light.

The annual accounts for Salah UK Commercial Limited, the company responsible for handling a slice of the forward’s off-field income in the country he has called home since 2017, presented a snapshot of snowballing wealth.

Just over £25million ($32m) now sits on the balance sheet of a UK-registered private company where Salah is the only listed director, up from the £19.8m 12 months earlier — a year-on-year bump of more than £5m after taxes.

It is a fraction of the wages earned by Salah at Liverpool — estimated to be between £18m and £21m gross each year since a renegotiated contract made him the club’s highest-paid player in 2022 — but laid bare in those returns is a glimpse of the Egyptian’s enduring commercial appeal.

Brand Salah is big business.

The genius of Mohamed Salah – by Robbie Fowler (the man whose Liverpool record he beat)

The player’s long-time advisor and lawyer, Ramy Abbas Issa , suggested last year that image rights and commercial activities top up Salah’s combined earnings to somewhere close to £1m a week. That assessment, delivered in a Harvard Business School study, would support the theory the Egyptian has reached that point in his career where there is more money to be made off the pitch than for what he does on it.

Salah’s commercial earnings in the UK are the tip of the iceberg for the Arab world’s most recognisable sportsman. A longstanding deal with boot suppliers Adidas heads up a list of partnerships that has included Pepsi, Vodafone, DHL, Uber, Oppo, the Bank of Alexandria and real estate company Mountain View.

The big brands have flocked to Salah in recent years and so have the yields. Abbas said every commercial deal is typically worth between £3.5m and £6m a year to his client. An optimistic take perhaps but no one in the industry would challenge the bottom end of that bracket.

All indicators point to Salah being the most commercially valuable footballer in the Premier League ; the name and face with the greatest international appeal.

“Worldwide, I’d say he’s as big as anyone after Cristiano Ronaldo , Lionel Messi and Neymar,” says Ehsen Shah, founder and chief executive of sports marketing experts B-Engaged.

”He’s been at the top of the game for a few years and he’s proven it at a top club. It’s not been the same success with the Egyptian national team , but he’s won the Champions League and the Premier League. You’ve got Jude Bellingham up and coming but Salah would be fourth on the list for now.”

Bellingham's commercial impact at Real Madrid: A new era after Messi and Ronaldo

The most commercially powerful player in the Premier League?

“More than likely he is, yes,” says Dan Haddad, head of commercial strategy at Octagon, a sports, music and entertainment agency.

“That is likely a symptom of Manchester United not having consistent performance and without any player holding particular global relevance. You could only really say that Erling Haaland has the potential to start to rival Salah.

“He probably will because he’s got similar characteristics. He’s very recognisable, he’s involved in the big moments. He’s on an upward trajectory, corresponding with Manchester City ’s success in the Champions League last season.

“ Virgil van Dijk is another one you’ve really started to notice in recent years, becoming front and centre for different campaigns for brands — but Salah is still probably the number one player in terms of marketability in the Premier League.”

go-deeper

Team Haaland: The people behind striker - and why he could be worth £1bn one day

Salah is undeniably a modern Liverpool icon. Last season was punctuated by the Africa Cup of Nations and minor injuries, and will not go down as one of his best at Anfield, but his header in Liverpool’s 4-2 win at home to Tottenham Hotspur was his 211th goal in all competitions since joining from Roma for £36m.

Seven fruitful seasons with Liverpool have established Salah among the elite and increasingly made him a golden ticket to marketing executives. He is the supreme talent with a happy face, the family man who began with nothing in his home town of Nagrig, Egypt, and came to have everything.

His story does not need much selling and plenty queue up to invest in Salah. In the Middle East and north Africa, he is the face of a thousand billboards. In 2022, he was a cover star for the fashion magazine GQ. There are regular appearances in TV adverts and Salah was filming another, this time for Pepsi, in Liverpool three months ago.

behemoth tour atlanta

“If you look at the regions he can tap into through language and culture, it’s a market no one else can really do,” says Shah. “He almost has a monopoly. Not only does he have North Africa, he’s got the entire Middle East.

“Hence why the Saudis pushed so hard to get him (to move to the Saudi Pro League last summer). He’s that person who has that clout in the market.

“Any of these big brands needing credibility or cut-through in marketing, you put him as the face. It’s the attention grab, the stop of the scroll (on social media). You see the face you recognise and ask: ‘What’s he doing?’ It’s an ability to stop someone for that second longer than you might if you were just using someone you might not recognise. Salah gives you that guarantee in that part of the world.”

The Harvard Business School study that Salah and Abbas endorsed before its publication last September was a rare window into the mechanics of a contract renewal at the highest level.

There was an acceptance Salah came close to turning down Liverpool in the summer of 2022, with discussions said to have “broken down entirely” before an agreement was eventually reached on a new three-year deal that will expire next summer.

Abbas openly presented numbers, too. Big ones. He said expectations were for Salah to earn “somewhere between €54m (£46.3m, $58.8m) and €62m per year” from wages and image rights during his contract with Liverpool.

The most recent figures filed at Companies House, the public record of UK-based businesses, account only for Salah’s commercial activities in his adopted home. In what has become standard practice for elite sportsmen, image rights payments go to a company rather than the individual, thus benefitting from lower taxes than the 45 per cent taken on earnings. Salah UK Commercial Limited, it must be stressed, still paid £2.3m in corporation tax during its most recent accounting period.

The Real Jurgen Klopp, part 3: The one-man brand

It is safe to assume the accounts filed in March tell only part of Salah’s story as a commercial behemoth. An unscientific but telling measure of his standing comes through a social media following running close to 100million people.

As well as more than 35million followers on X and Facebook, he can boast more than 63million on Instagram. That is a fraction of the 628million followers built up by Ronaldo, the most popular individual on the platform, but Salah comfortably boasts the biggest following of any Premier League player, with Haaland next best on 39 million.

Not only does that illustrate Salah’s global appeal but it also underlines why brands are drawn his way. He gives them kudos and credibility. Salah’s most recent Vodafone advert posted on his Instagram account in January was liked more than 510,000 times.

behemoth tour atlanta

Vodafone Egypt, the telecoms giant, has been in Salah’s corner since 2017. It has done countless TV ads together and, in one publicity stunt, offered customers 11 minutes of free domestic talk time in Egypt for every goal Salah scored in the closing weeks of the 2017-18 season.

So tight is the partnership with Vodafone that Salah caused a diplomatic row when discovering his image had been plastered on the side of a plane due to fly the Egypt national team to the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia. It had appeared next to the logo of telecommunications company WE, which had a partnership with Egypt ’s FA and was a direct competitor to Vodafone.

“Unfortunately, the way this has been dealt with is extremely insulting,” Salah said. “I was hoping dealings would be classier than this.” The Egyptian FA eventually U-turned and gave in to Salah’s demands that his image not be used in conjunction with WE.

Pepsi has been another blue-chip company to attach itself to Salah. An initial 12-month arrangement when still with Roma has been routinely extended and adverts have been shot alongside Messi, Paul Pogba and Raheem Sterling . The latest was aired last year when Salah and former Liverpool team-mate Dejan Lovren were filmed being chased around the streets of Alexandria.

Then there is Salah and his boot supplier, Adidas. He has long been one of the leading faces of their football division and, last year, was part of the tie-up between the German sports manufacturer and luxury brand Gucci.

Footballers, fashion and how a player's image is now more important than ever

“The key thing for Salah is that he’s an icon in the Arab world,” says Haddad. “You haven’t had anyone in the same stratosphere for the Arab-speaking world, a massive population with a huge interest in football following international leagues like the Premier League.

“You had Riyad Mahrez there for a while but obviously not to the same extent or for the same length of time. Egypt itself is a huge market with a developing economy and you’ve seen Salah do a lot of campaigns targeting that region. He’s almost the sole, iconic global superstar for the Arab world. That’s a massive thing.”

Salah will never catch Ronaldo and Messi, whose annual earnings were reported by Forbes to be over £100m in 2023, but the Egyptian’s upward trajectory has been remarkable.

Liverpool, too, will have felt the benefits. Salah’s name is the most commonly printed on the back of shirts and together they have made for a happy marketing marriage.

The question, of course, is how long this all lasts. A £150m bid from Saudi club Al Ittihad was turned down last summer and Salah is soon to enter the final 12 months of that lucrative Liverpool deal signed in 2022. There is uncertainty, parked for now, over where his long-term future lies beyond the summer of 2025.

Inside Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in sport

  • Why the country bought into Premier League soccer
  • Golf, F1 and cycling… why they are buying sport
  • The 2034 World Cup and what it means

“There are very few players who move the needle massively for a club,” says Haddad. “Business cases can be built around Messi with clubs seeing huge audience growth. You’ve seen that at Paris Saint-Germain and then at Inter Miami.

“A player needs to bring his own audience to make a difference but with Salah he didn’t bring an audience, his audience grew while he was at the club. The journey has been mutually beneficial for both parties rather than Salah delivering more to Liverpool than they have for him. It’s been an equitable relationship so I don’t think it would cause a massive impact if he left.

“There’s still a lot of iconic talent there and the brands are drawn as much to the club itself. The size of Liverpool’s fanbase isn’t going to change. I don’t think Salah is really driving shirt sales to the extent where Liverpool’s commercial revenues would fall.”

Be sure of one thing, though: Salah remains a commercial magnet.
