It was one of the most amazing experiences ever! Eddie was communicating with the crowd and somehow made everyone feel special... The concert took place at The Deaf Institute in Manchester, and now I know why the place is called like this :D It was my first planned gig experience, I went alone and wasn't bored even for a second. When the show ended, everyone in the crowd started screaming: "WE WANT MORE", so the guys, without any hesitation, came back to the stage and performed three more songs. It was a total blast, worth every penny. Afterwards, they took time to talk to every single person that wanted to take a picture, an autograph or anything else. Very down to earth and extremely talented. The LIVE session was one of the best things I've ever seen.I had the time of my life and couldn't be more grateful <3 Bloody brilliant!

I love this band. All of their songs speak to me and "Stronger" was the song that gave me motivation and inspiration while going through my divorce.

This is the 2nd time I have seen them and they put on a great show both times. Lots of energy.

I love their song writing. They have a magical way of putting feelings into words.

Can't wait to see them again.

This concert was absolutely amazing!!! This was the best day of my life. The opener The Orphan The Poet were absolutely amazing! With the bands being immersive and interactive with the fans, just increased their stellar performance. The lighting and effects used were amazing and the bands were all around just completely impressive!

Awesome! They absolutely killed it. So good. Had a blast! The Score brought the house down.... They performed an encore which was legend and afterwards they hung around and people were able to meet and greet with the guys. Liked the opening bands as well. All in all a good time!

Amazing show! Amazing band!!

I especially love the light show that went with their music. They have nice aesthetics.

The microphone at the venue stopped working a few times but they played it off well.

I would definitely go see them again if they go on another tour!

Fugees postpone ‘The Score’ anniversary reunion tour

The tour is being moved to 2022 to ensure "the best chance that all cities on the tour will be fully open"

Fugees

Fugees have announced that they have postponed their upcoming reunion tour.

The hugely influential hip-hop group –  Ms. Lauryn Hill ,  Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel – announced in September that they would reunite for a 2021 world tour celebrating 25 years of their classic 1996 album ‘The Score’.

Today (October 29), the trio took to Instagram to inform fans that they will be rescheduling the run of dates to 2022 in order to ensure “the best chance that all cities on the tour will be fully open” following some of them being restricted due to COVID measures being put in place.

“Dates for our upcoming Fugees 25th Anniversary Tour are moving to early 2022 to ensure the best chance that all cities on the tour will be fully open so we can perform for as many fans as possible,” said the band’s statement.

Fugees added that once the tour is rescheduled they will be adding a number of new dates. “With so much excitement around the reunion tour, we are also happy to announce that we will be adding more cities and dates!” they said. “Full details coming soon along with some SPECIAL announcements!”

The tour’s rescheduled dates have not yet been revealed.

The series of worldwide arena shows were set to begin next month including a show scheduled for December 6 at The O2 in London.

Ahead of the tour kicking off, the band gave fans a taste of what they could expect with a special pop-up show at The Rooftop at Pier 17 venue in New York City on September 22.

At the show, the trio played a nine-song set featuring a host of tracks from ‘The Score’ as well as their famous version of Lori Lieberman’s ‘Killing Me Softly With His Song’ and Bob Marley & The Wailers classic ‘No Woman, No Cry’, which closed the set.

“The Fugees have a complex but impactful history,” Ms. Lauryn Hill said of the group in a statement at the time of the reunion announcement. “I wasn’t even aware the 25th anniversary had arrived until someone brought it to my attention.

“I decided to honour this significant project, its anniversary, and the fans who appreciated the music by creating a peaceful platform where we could unite, perform the music we loved, and set an example of reconciliation for the world.”

Earlier this month it was reported that Fugees‘ upcoming international tour dates could be in jeopardy due to an ongoing legal case involving band member Pras .

Ms. Lauryn Hill , Wyclef Jean , and Pras Michel of  the Fugees  have canceled their reunion tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 12-city international tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 1996 album The Score was originally set to kick off Nov. 2, but was later pushed to early 2022.

“We anticipate and understand disappointment but our anniversary tour will not be able to happen,” the group wrote in a message that was shared to social media. “The continued Covid pandemic has made touring conditions difficult, and we want to make sure we keep our fans and ourselves healthy and safe. An idea sparked to honor and celebrate this 25th anniversary of ‘The Score’ but we see now it may not currently be our time for revisiting this past work. We’re grateful for the special night we did get to share with some of you in New York, with that rare live moment. If opportunity, public safety, and scheduling allow, we hope to be able to revisit this again sometime soon. Thank you for all of your love and support throughout the years.”

In 2015 The Score was an unknown independent songwriting duo based in New York struggling to make an impression in the music industry when a major UK supermarket chain, Asda, adopted songs for a new advertising campaign. The duo was quickly signed by Republic and their music began to appear in film and TV advertising products including  Power Rangers (2017) and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (2015).

This was followed by EPs Unstoppable (2016) and Myths & Legends (2017) before The Score released their debut studio album Atlas in October 2017. The group began experimenting with new music with the release of the track "Stronger", which debuted on the band's 2019 EP, Pressure . The Fugees Have Officially Cancelled Their Reunion Tour

“We see now it may not currently be our time for revisiting this past work.”

The Fugees reunion tour has officially been cancelled.

After postponing a majority of the dates three days before the tour was set to kick off in November 2021, the legendary hip-hop trio have now scrapped the endeavor altogether, citing the on-going pandemic which has made “touring conditions difficult.”

In a statement, the Fugees wrote: “We anticipate and understand disappointment but our anniversary tour will not be able to happen. The continued Covid pandemic has made touring conditions difficult, and we want to make sure we keep our fans and ourselves healthy and safe. An idea sparked to honor and celebrate this 25th anniversary of The Score but we see now it may not currently be our time for revisiting this past work. We’re grateful for the special night we did get to share with some of you in New York, with that rare live moment. If opportunity, public safety and scheduling allow, we hope to be able to revisit this again sometime soon. THANK YOU for all your love and support throughout the years.”

The reunion tour, which would’ve seen the landmark group together on stage for the first time in 15 years, was originally slated to kick off in earnest in November 2021, and hit major cities throughout the U.S. before hopping abroad for performances in Paris, London, Nigeria and Ghana.

The band did reunite briefly for one surprise show in New York City on Sept. 22, however the trio soon pushed all remaining dates to 2022 — though, obviously, that’s all a no-go now.

The trio’s initial impetus for reuniting was to mark the 25th anniversary of The Score , the 1996 landmark album from the group.

Of the anniversary, Ms. Lauryn Hill originally wrote in a press statement: “The Fugees have a complex but impactful history. I wasn’t even aware the 25th anniversary had arrived until someone brought it to my attention. I decided to honor this significant project, its anniversary, and the fans who appreciated the music by creating a peaceful platform where we could unite, perform the music we loved, and set an example of reconciliation for the world.”

Wyclef Jean added: “As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music we would be a movement. We would be a voice for the un-heard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together.”

The Score was released in 1996 as Fugees’ second and final studio album. The project, which remains a watershed project from the group and hip-hop as a whole, produced a slew of hit singles, including “Ready Or Not,” “Killing Me Softly,” “Fu-Gee-La,” and more. The group disbanded soon after in 1997 in a messy and complicated break-up. The trio last performed live together in 2006 for a slew of reunion shows.

ORIGINAL STORY (Sept. 21): The Fugees shocked the hip-hop world on Tuesday (Sept. 21) with the announcement of an international reunion tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their landmark 1996 album The Score . The outing will bring Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel together for the first time in 15 years for 12 shows presented by Diaspora Calling and produced by Live Nation.

Not wasting any time, the tour kicks off on Wednesday (Sept. 22) with what a release promised will be an intimate show in New York City at an as-yet-undisclosed location. The dates will then pick up with a Nov. 2 gig at the United Center in Chicago, followed by a concert at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California on Nov. 7, as well as dates in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Newark, Washington, D.C., Paris, London, Nigeria and Ghana.

Here's Why Lauryn Hill Never Made Another Album After 'Miseducation'

The Score , the Fugees’ second and final studio album, hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart and scored hits with the indelible singles “Killing Me Softly,” “Fu-Gee-La” and “Ready or Not”; the collection won the Grammy for best rap album and another for best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals for “Killing.”

“The Fugees have a complex but impactful history. I wasn’t even aware the 25th anniversary had arrived until someone brought it to my attention,” Hill said in a statement of Score , the best-selling album ever by a hip-hop group (at a reported 22 million copies worldwide) and the first by a rap group to be nominated for an album of the year Grammy. “I decided to honor this significant project, its anniversary, and the fans who appreciated the music by creating a peaceful platform where we could unite,  perform the music we loved, and set an example of reconciliation for the world.”

The group has teamed up with charitable partner Global Citizen for as-yet-unspecified philanthropic initiatives around the tour, with tickets slated to go on sale to the general public beginning Friday (Sept. 24) at 10 a.m. local time here . Global Citizen announced on Monday that the group’s first public performance will be in support of Global Citizen Live , a planet-wide broadcast calling on world leaders to defend the planet and defeat poverty that will air on Sept. 25 and feature performances on seven continents broadcast for 24 hours across dozens of media platforms; more information on Global Citizen Live can be found here .

Information on tickets to Wednesday’s show will be disclosed to fans who’ve earned tickets by taking action. Click here for details on earning a chance to attend the Fugees show.

After splitting in 1998, the Fugees reunited in 2004 for Dave Chappelle’s Block Party concert film, came back together the next year for a 12-minute medley to open the 2005 BET Awards and played their final show in Feb. 2006 at a free gig for fans in Hollywood.

Black Music Month Album Appreciation: 25 Years After the Fugees’ ‘The Score’ with Wyclef…

“As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music we would be a movement,” said Wyclef in a statement. “We would be a voice for the un-heard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together.”

The Fugees Postpone ‘The Score’ 25th Anniversary Reunion Tour

by Jacob Uitti November 2, 2021, 7:38 am

In February 1996, the legendary New Jersey-born hip-hop trio The Fugees released the classic album The Score . This year, 25 years later, the group was set to reunite for a classic tour, the group’s first dates in 15 years.

Videos by American Songwriter

Well, now that’s been postponed and the dates are pushed to 2022, according to the band’s tour Instagram page.

The band wrote, “Dates for our upcoming Fugees 25th Anniversary Tour are moving to early 2022 to ensure the best chance that all cities on the tour are fully open so we can perform for as many fans as possible.

“With so much excitement around the reunion tour, we are also happy to announce that we will be adding more cities and dates!

“Full details coming soon along with some SPECIAL announcements!”

In September, band co-founder and frontman, Wyclef Jean tweeted, “Ready or not, here we come 25 years #Refugees @prasmichel @MsLaurynHill @princewonda #GlobalCitizenLive #Fugees “

But the band, which formed in 1992, announced it was postponing dates that were set to span Wednesday , November 2 in Chicago to December 18 in Ghana, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many fans aren’t surprised by the hiccups. The Fugees are known for not living up to their schedule, for various reasons. Most recently, the band played a reunion show in New York City, amid some snafus .

NCAA softball 2024: Scores, WCWS schedule, how to watch

Tiare Jennings gives Oklahoma the lead with an RBI single in the top of the fourth inning vs. the Ducks. (0:30)

Can Oklahoma make history and become the first softball program to four-peat? Or will someone dethrone the Sooners?

The road to the 2024 Women's College World Series has officially begun. For the first time since 2018, Oklahoma did not get the top seed in the NCAA softball tournament. Instead, that honor belongs to No. 1 Texas, which advanced to the super regionals Sunday. The Sooners are the No. 2 seed and also advanced Sunday.

We're down to 16 teams. The super regionals will feature seven teams from the SEC, four teams from the Big 12, three teams from the Pac-12 and two teams from the ACC. Unseeded schools Arizona and Baylor will join the 14 other regional hosts.

We continue to break down each regional and provide you with schedule updates , scores and how to watch the NCAA tournament.
