Kudo to Joanna Merredew

Joanna pulled out all the stops and arranged a complicated itinerary (total of ten flights to/from and within Borneo, plus hotels, transfers etc) at 48 hours' notice of when I wanted to travel. She fixed all this within the same day I contacted her. Amazing! Great follow-up service too, I felt really well supported. Bravo!

Elliott Rouse, Marrakech trip

Elliott organised a wonderful trip to Marrakech! The hotel was fabulous with rooftop terrace and pool and courtyard dining area, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Transfers were smooth and the tour guides very helpful, and Elliott booked the flights too - his assistance with this was invaluable when the trip had to be postponed and then rearranged. The itinerary was superb plus some free time allowed us to explore as well. Communication was excellent throughout the booking process and lead up to the trip… all in all an excellent holiday, and a huge thank you to Elliott.

Helpful, polite and organised

Nick from Travel Counsellors is gentlemen and incredibly helpful. He took the time to guide me through various holiday options and made informed suggestions that I wouldn’t have otherwise known about. When I had questions, he came back instantly and with all the right information. It’s so refreshing to have genuine and caring customer service and the whole process has taken the stress away from booking a holiday and the actual travel itself.

Liz Standley

We booked with Liz Standley to go to California at Easter. it was a 12 day trip from San Francisco, down the coast to LA, across to Vegas with a flight over the Grand Canyon. An initial conversation with her produced a fantastic itinerary and the trip was a dream. We really appreciated her advice, her knowledge of the area was amazing. We would happily book again and recommend her to our friends and family.

5 star Travel Counsellor Service

We have just returned from an amazing trip to Thailand arranged for us by the fabulous Caroline Linton. Despite my sister and I changing our minds numerous times in relation to location and our holiday ideas, Caroline gave us various options to meet our budget and itinery. We eventually decided on Thailand and Caroline went above and beyond to arrange our trip for us which included 3 days at Elephant Hills. All hotels were amazing and exceeded our expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Caroline to all my family and friends and will definitely use again to make more fantastic memories ☺️

Great service and so nice to deal with a real person ...

Thanks to Danielle for finding us the best deal on a great hotel in Crete. She was endlessly patient with my requests and changes and even after the booking forwarded on resort info to make sure I had the details of the diving centre there. Great service and so nice to deal with a real person rather than a chatbot!

Nantes, France April 2024…

Claire Spicer arranged our holiday to Nantes. The booking process was easy and all the information re tickets etc was accurate. The choice of hotel was ideal and everything went like clockwork for me. I would thoroughly recommend Claire's service if you want a bespoke holiday.

I was introduced to Grant by a family…

I was introduced to Grant by a family member. Having been frustrated in trying to arrange a holiday for ourselves and friends, I explained to Grant what we were looking for. To our amazement, he came back later that afternoon with four simply wonderful proposals. Following some fine tuning, we booked the holiday the next day. The whole process was so stress free, and the extra touches he added were fantastic. Grant clearly is a very exceptional and experienced travel consultant, and l can confirm he has a client for life.

We recently worked with Daragh to book our 5 state America trip

We recently worked with Daragh to book a very complex last minute trip to America. In only a couple of months he helped to book flights, cars & hotels for a trip to 5 states in 1 week. The trip wouldn't have happened without him! Daragh was a delight to work with, answering our many questions and even checking in on us during / after the trip. We will continue to use him for future travel and I couldn't recommend him enough!

Emma Whiteman - Above and Beyond

We regularly use Emma Whiteman for all our travel and holidays and she is the most dedicated person i know, she thinks of everything and her knowledge of the industry is 2nd to none. she creates the perfect package for us everytime and makes us feel so special and understands our every need. Just booked a trip with Grant after being recommended through family for how brilliant he is. Within an hour he had priced up multiple holidays for me, taking into consideration my requests and budget. We’ve now booked the trip, and it was the most easy and stress free experience ever. Such an efficient personal service!

We have just returned from a 2 month holiday booked with Zoe Palmer at Travel Counsellors. Zoe was fantastic and would highly recommend. We had originally booked a 3 month trip but unfortunately health circumstances meant we had to change most of the itinerary which Zoe did efficiently & meant we actually didn't lose out too much financially. Zoe gave such a personal service for an extremely complex itinerary. We travelled to Asia & Australia & New Zealand with 2 cruises, 4 flights, hire car, tours, taxi transfers, 2 ferries & 11 hotels! It all worked seamlessly & was easy to track as the whole itinerary was on a TC app. We are looking forward to planning our next trip!

We booked our dream holiday with lisa…

We booked our dream holiday with lisa from start to finish lisa has been great and answered any questions we had along the way. She also kept us up to date with things we needed to know regarding out trip. Our holiday was hassle free and amazing. I wanted to book a trip of a lifetime…

I wanted to book a trip of a lifetime to tick off bucket list for me and my mum to see the northern lights. Paul Seaman was absolutely brilliantly amazing from start to finish he arranged absolutely everything and due to my health being so bad I wasn’t able to do much of the trips but he made it possible for me to be able to join one of the trips and had it specifically around me and my routine of being attached to an IV pump for nutrition as I couldn’t do any activities attached. It did cost more but the day was truely amazing and couldn’t ask for anything more they made sure I was safe at all times and everything done in my speed and timing incase I became to ill and needed to go back. Paul was on call 24/7 while we were away and dealt with the few minor issues we had striaght away. Honestly paul couldn’t of done anymore to make this a successful trip and took all the stress and worry out of it and made sure all medical equipment was safe onboard the plane and that everything went to plan. I honestly couldn’t thank him enough for making not only this dream come true but taking all the stress and worry out of it too.

Takes so much holiday stress away...

I rarely travel abroad however the last couple of times have been via highly knowledgeable and friendly Travel Counsellors. Jade Hawkins sent myself and my family away to the Azores in 2019 and I recently travelled with Hayley and Carla to Iceland in November 2023. I'm not the most experienced traveller so it was perfect to know that amazing people were always at the end of a message or a phone call away. Not sure where we may go next, but I'm sure we will be using an amazing Travel Counsellor either way!

Dual centre Kuala Lumpur and Bali

Our first time using a travel agent in a long time. Vanessa Couper was amazing, putting together a number of itineraries for us to choose from. She kept us informed of all requirements for entry and changes to our flights when they occurred. Cannot recommend enough!!!

Hayley Bass has helped book several of our holidays over the years. Hayley has been flexible with my often varied ideas on holidays. Always delivers with what I am looking for. Amazing trip to Prague with Victoria Costello

We booked a three night trip to Prague with Victoria Costello who was amazing every step of the way! Victoria put together the perfect trip for us and took all the pressure off booking flights and hotel and even booked us transfers to and from the airport while we were there which was a huge help. I couldn't recommend Victoria enough and we will definitely be booking with her again!

Best personal service

I used Grant Bowles from Travel Counsellors to help me book a Florida trip next year with the in-laws and my kids. From the onset, Grant was very keen to get us the best possible package with the least amount of hassle. Grant demonstrated extensive knowledge of his trade and one can tell that he has spent years in the travel industry. The service from start to finish was smooth as butter and I now have a "go-to" for all my travel queries. Would highly recommend Grant as you will not be dissapointed.

Excellent service from Claire Stow

We have had a fantastic trip to Oman organised by Claire Stow. Claire organised the trip based on what we knew we wanted. She was able to give us several quotes with different options for hotel deals and choice of rooms until we got the package we were happy with. It was very easy to contact Claire on WhatsApp or email and she always responded quickly when we had questions. It was lovely to let Claire make all our arrangements and all for a reasonable price.

America road trip

America road trip Gemma booked our trip to New Orleans, Natchez, Memphis, Nashville and the great Smokey mountains and we had the most incredible time. Caribbean Adventure

I was born in Trinidad and wanted to go back there for the first time since we left when I was 4 yrs old. To make the long journey more extensive, Suzanna Pinder helped us to plan out a Caribbean adventure that included sailing in BVI, visit to Antigua, back to my roots in Trinidad and then a relaxing break in Tobago. Suzanna researched, sourced, booked (and rebooked due to Covid) and double checked everything including flights charters, accommodation, transfers and guides. Every aspect of our trip worked perfectly and I know that we would not have been able to achieve such an adventure without her support, advice and guidance. I cannot recommend her highly enough - particularly if you are looking for adventure or to go off the beaten track.

A perfect holiday experience.

Tracey Blackman from Travel Counsellors, arranged our recent holiday to Egypt. Tracey listened to everything we wanted and booked the perfect hotel for us, exactly what we wanted. She went over and above and nothing was ever too much trouble. Prior to our departure she personally met up with me, having printed off our tickets and information along with a list of useful information, trips’ info etc. She is so lovely and friendly and a true professional in her field. I would 100% recommend Tracey, the personal touches make the whole booking process seamless and the holiday hassle free. We felt, from booking, through to departure, the holiday itself and our return, we were totally looked after and knew Tracey would’ve been on hand to ensure everything went smoothly. We've used Helen Walker at Travel Counsellors several times for longer or more complicated trips in the past, and always had excellent, friendly service. This trip to New Zealand was no exception. Organisation of international & internal flights, hotels and car hire all worked out really well - including getting us back home in timely fashion when our flights were cancelled due to airport flooding in Dubai!

Fantastic communication from Elliott

Cheryl Harradine at TC

Cheryl went over and above this time! When our travel plans were effected by the Stansted outage Cheryl was able to tell us what the problem was (no tannoy announcements at the airport did this) and advised us to go to our gate despite being late for the flight. Meanwhile she looked at alternative flights and after discovering we missed our flight she was able to very efficiently book us onto another and offer further advice about making a claim for our extra costs which we successfully did. it was so reassuring and helpful to have her at the end of the phone in this crisis!

Invaluable travel support

I have booked a few times now with our local travel advisor Cheryl and she is absolutely wonderful. Cheryl always seems to know which accommodation will suit us best and the quality of her service is first class. I was recently caught up in the awful Stanstead chaos which resulted in us missing our flights and Cheryl managed to find alternative flights for us that same day which after a highly stressful morning was so very much appreciated! She just makes the whole travel experience so much easier!

Super Travel Counsellors

I do not have one bad to say about travel counsellors. From my very Initial Call with Julia I knew I had made the right decision to Join. She answered all the questions I had and put my mind at ease straight away and decided there and then I was going to Join. In my few weeks leading up to training Julia was in touch constantly giving me updates and making me feel super welcome. Even a message on my first day to wish me luck. Dawn the trainer then took over with 2 weeks training. Which was intense however she simplified everything and made us all feel so welcomed. No question was a stupid question for Dawn. From my initial call 2 months ago to now doing my first booking I have never felt so certain that I have made the right decision joining travel counsellors and I look forward to seeing what the future will bring

What an amazing company & training academy they provide. Australia ‘24

Lisa Hillyard is the reason our Australian adventure was so brilliant and worry free for us two aging holiday makers. The organisation of hotels, transfers and superb excursions was down to her as our travel counsellor and no detail was too much. Even when we had a mishap she was there fo us in support which meant a great deal. Her daughter Amy also helped too. Melbourne, Uluru, Alice Springs, Port Douglas and Sydney were our destinations and we had such a memorable time, unforgettable. We have been home over a fortnight now but both still on a high. When I decided to join Travel…

When I decided to join Travel Counsellors, I felt a bit apprehensive and thought it over, again and again. But talking to Julia on the video call, I found myself getting really excited about the opportunity. Julia was really informative and easy to talk to. By the end of the call, I knew this was what I really wanted to do. Now with only 2 days to my launch day, it is getting so real and achievable. Massive thank you goes to Kerry and Kristina, our tutors. Nothing is ever too much for them and they help with any queries, with smiles on their faces. Life changing! The support provided from the very start has been incredible. Ashley from recruitment is fantastic, she's made me feel so welcome into the TC community. I'm blown away by the high standard of training through the academy. I've finished the course feeling confident on the booking platforms and ready to undertake a further six months of on-board training. Head office, the training team (Kerry Williams), my mentor (Elliott Rouse) and local TC's do the upmost to make you feel welcome - there is always someone to reach out to. So far so good!

What slick yet friendly experience joining Travel Counsellors has been. Everyone has been incredibly helpful and welcoming, from the local TCs I spoke to before I joined, to Julia Speed, who couldn't do enough as I was going through the decision to join TC. The head office Discovery Day was great and made me feel a part of things straightaway. Induction is intense and very comprehensive, supported by the great Training team, led by Kristina Seed for our cohort. Being allocated an experienced mentor (Emma) is so incredibly helpful and reassuring in your initial few months. Rarely have I felt so supported and surrounded by so many (including other business owners) who go out of their way to help you succeed. It was a massive leap of faith changing from a successful career to running my own business in a sector I barely know, but I have absolutely no regrets and only excitement for the future. So much support!

From my first initial contact right through to the Academy training I have been so impressed with the support. My first contact was Sue Law who I spoke to a few times before my final decision to join. Sue was amazing! Sue gave me all the information & guidance I needed to make that decision without any pressure. Answered any questions promptly & the visit to Venus was really helpful. The Academy training team were so supportive as there is a lot to go through in 2 weeks but they were there every step of the way. Travel Counsellors Onboarding

I was deciding whether to be a Travel Counsellor for a while, so I decided to go to a discovery day which was really helpful making my choice. Dawn has been a fantastic trainer, she has a great sense of humour, is firm but fair and we’ve learnt so much in such a small space of time. She has the patience of a saint. I think it’s been a good mix of video calls and online training.

The whole process of becoming a Travel Counsellor has been excellent, enjoyable and the support given all the way is amazing. Coming from a non-travel background it was rather daunting but the amount of training given and then the ongoing support network means that you are provided with everything you need to build your business. It's hard work, but worth it, my life has changed for the better now (although the first few months are intense!)

Looking forward to scaling my business with TC!

I spent a long time working out if I wanted to bring my existing travel agency over to Travel Counsellors and throughout the whole process, Julia Speed could not have been better. Answering all my little questions with ease and the bigger questions too! Julia made me feel really comfortable, as did the trainers in particular Dawn. It is an intense couple of weeks of training I will be honest (especially when you have existing clients), but the support has been amazing and I feel like I have definitely made the right decision. My only wish is that I didn't do it a month or so earlier before January Peaks but as the TC team never rushed me, I did it when I felt best and hindsight is a wonderful thing! Looking forward to scaling my business with TC!

Good and kept updated on the process

To date the onboarding experience has been good although I am still in the middle of it. I have been communicated with regularly and told what has been going on. Sue Law was great, went through everything and was very responsive to any queries. It took a bit longer than expected to get my laptop and also when I was sent info on my mentor with a video to view I was unable to view the video as I haven't got my full log in details yet. Not a huge issue but maybe send the email and link out once people are on induction and have their full details as opposed to people trying to view it without full access. May also be worth sending the email asking for feedback once the core onboarding process is complete.

Wow what a smashing two weeks of TC induction training, but even before training. The recruiting and onboarding was fantastic. The team (Julia, Matt, Dawn, Kerry, Leah and so many more) have all been awesome, so welcoming, so helpful and so inspiring. I had thought about starting my own travel business for a while and when Julia Speed got in touch it was the perfect timing! She was amazing at advising and providing me with all the information needed and made me feel so at ease about it all. The 2 weeks training itself was jam packed but so vital at the same time. Our trainer Dawn was so helpful and again put us all at ease from day 1. We all had a million questions but she took time to answer everything! I have been so impressed with the onboarding process and the fact that we are assigned a mentor has been a blessing! My mentor Alison has been so great at answering even more of my questions and guiding me as I start this new venture. Big thank you to everyone involved!
