We’ll spend two nights exploring and eating our way around Athens, 3 nights at a stunning high end luxury waterfront boutique resort on the beautiful island of Paros, and 4 nights at a gorgeous cliff-side resort on Amy’s favorite island, Santorini! We’ll take a food tour of Athens, 2 winery and vineyard tours with wine tastings, a cooking class, night time Acropolis tour, a sunset sail with cocktails and dinner, and so much more included!

  • Arrive in Athens—private transfers to your hotel. At 12 pm, a tour guide will pick up half of the group for a food and market tour. At 12:45 pm, another tour guide will pick up the rest for the same tour. After the tour, return to the hotel for check-in. In the evening, you will have a dinner at a taverna with live music.

  • Please Note: Your transfer from the airport to the hotel is included in the cost of trip if you are on the same flight as Amy. If your flight arrives earlier than Amy's,  you are welcome to wait for the group transfer. However, we cannot guarantee the transfer time due to any delays that may happen with Amy's flight. If you are not on Amy's flight and/or do not want to wait for the group transfer, you will be responsible for your own way to the airport. We suggest taking a taxi or an Uber to make your way to the hotel. Please plan to meet the group by 12:30 pm to join the last food tour with the group.

Day 2 – Jun 16 - Athens

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning. A lunch will be arranged at another taverna—evening Acropolis tour with taverna dinner to follow.

Day 3 – Jun 17 - Athens/ Paros

  • Breakfast at the hotel.  A private port transfer for ferry to Paros at 9:00 am. Arrival in Paros at 12:00 pm and private transfer to the hotel Minois. Lunch will be arranged at the hotel. In the afternoon, you will be picked up for a private transfer to Lefkes village for a tour with dinner. 

Day 4 – Jun 18 - Paros

  • Breakfast at the hotel. in the morning, a group private transfer will be arranged to a beach club where loungers will be reserved as well. In the afternoon, we will arrange a transfer from the beach club to Parikia for lunch, and then the group can have some free time to explore Parikia. Then, a group private transfer to the hotel will be arranged.

Day 5 – Jun 19 – Paros

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning. In the afternoon, a group private transfer will be arranged to a winery tour with a food & wine pairing experience. Then the group will be transferred back to the hotel for relax and freshen up. In the evening, we will arrange a group private transfer to Naousa for free time.

Day 6 – Jun 20 - Santorini

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Ferry to Santorini. Upon arrival, pick up and have a wine-tasting experience, then transfer to your beautiful cliffside hotel.  Authentic cooking class for group #1 in the afternoon (begins at 4 pm). Free time for others. We suggest dinner at one of the nearby restaurants in the beautiful town square of Megalochori.

Day 7 - June 21 - Santorini

  • After breakfast, enjoy a short-driven guide to Oia with lunch overlooking the sea and caldera*.  Authentic Cooking class for group #2 in the afternoon (4 pm). Free time for others.

Day 8 - June 22   -  Santorini

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to enjoy Santorini.

Day 9 - June 23  -  Santorini

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Beginning with pickup between 2-3 pm, enjoy a sunset cruise with BBQ and drinks on board a beautiful 74’ open catamaran. Admire spectacular views of Santorini's cliffs and the world's largest caldera as you sail toward inaccessible and remote places, such as the lava creations called Palea and Nea Kameni, Apronissi islet, the Old Lighthouse, the Indian Rock, and the Black Mountain. Enjoy a quick dip at the area of the Hot Springs before you continue to the size of White and Red Beach for swimming, snorkeling, and a delicious BBQ prepared on the spot, with an open bar at your service.

Day 10 – June 24 – departure home

  •  International departures - air transfer to Athens included.

  • Flights can be purchased directly with the airline. I will send out information on the flights Amy and Hoyt will be on, and you can call the airline directly to book the same flight.
  • Transfers: Transfers are not included if you are on a different flight than Amy, The Cooking Mom. If you are arriving at a different time than Amy, we can book your transfers, but they will be an extra cost.
  • Travel Insurance - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
  • Meals, unless listed in your itinerary
  • Tips for drivers, guides and other services
  • Supplements or optional tours as listed
  • Visa, passport, and entry/exit fees

Cancellation policy:

Cancellation of travel must be made in writing and is effective from the date we receive the written notification. Any trip deposit or payment is non-refundable.  Rose Travel and The Cooking Mom's Culinary Vacations incur costs with the suppliers of your trip well in advance of your departure date. At the effective date of cancellation all overdue payments will be required, any additional payments will not be required.  We highly recommend trip insurance and is available for purchase at booking.

Amy’s Slow Cooker Cheesy Broccoli Soup

Ingredients:

1 box (2 pounds) Velveeta, cut in cubes

1/2 cup onion, finely diced (optional)

2 cans (10 1/2 ounces) condensed cream of celery soup

2 boxes (10 ounces) frozen chopped broccoli

1 cup chicken stock

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

3 to 4 cups half and half

Cooking spray

Directions:

Spray crock pot with cooking spray or use a crock pot liner. Mix 3 cups milk or half and half and the remaining ingredients in slow cooker. Heat for about 2 to 3 hours on LOW, or until broccoli is tender. Stir every once in a while.

Ingredients  

  • ▢ 1 pkg. (12 ounces) fettuccine - cooked al dente
  • ▢ 1 1/2 pounds medium to large shrimp - peeled and deveined
  • ▢ 3 tablespoons of butter
  • ▢ 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • ▢ Juice from a half of a lemon
  • ▢ 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • ▢ 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ▢ 1 can (10.75 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • ▢ 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • ▢ 1 cup milk
  • ▢ 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • ▢ 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ▢ 1/4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • ▢ 1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley

Instructions  

  • Place fettuccine in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet.
  • Cook shrimp in butter until they turn pink.
  • Season shrimp with garlic salt and squeeze lemon juice over the top.
  • Spoon shrimp and drippings over noodles
  • In a bowl whisk together sour cream, mustard, soup, wine, milk and pepper.
  • Spread soup mixture over the shrimp and noodles.
  • Mix together Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.
  • Sprinkle the mixture on top.
  • Bake loosely covered with foil in a preheated 350 degrees for 25 to 40 minutes. 
  • Uncover and bake another 5 to 15 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  • Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
