All Europe Julia Travel Tour Reviews
We signed up for an English tour and were put on an English/Spanish Tour. The whole bus was Spanish speaking people with only 4 of us English. Our first Tour Guide Alex was horrible. He totally forgot us 4 English speaking Customers. We had to beg and remind him constantly to give us info. When he did we got a very very watered down version. All the other Tour Guides were Great: Mohamed in Morocco and Felipe back in Spain. Alex actually put a Very bad taste in our mouths for Julia travel. The tour itself was Awesome and Most Amazing!
The Tour was good, Marica the guide very well organized everything, she is friendly, funny. Juan the driver was an amazing driver, he took us everywhere safely, I don't know how he can park that large bus. The hotels were nice, clen, the breakfast's were good, and the city guides were knowledgeable, they know the history very well. It was a tour the I learned about Spain a lot. Julia travel organized this trip well so it was very enjoyable.
The 4-day tour in Andalusia was very well organized: in a short time we covered great distances, visited important sights and learned many new interesting things. In short, the trip was excellent. The main merit had the Riad guide - an encyclopaedia with great capacity to transmit information/communication, extremely polite but firm. Also the local guides excellent.

Angus & Julia Stone are an Australian brother-sister folk-blues group that formed in 2006 by Angus Stone and Julia Stone.
The siblings could be said to be following in their parents footsteps as they performed as a folk duo before Angus and Julia were born. Their father taught all three of his children how to play instruments and at family gatherings, when the children performed, Catherine was on saxophone, Julia on trumpet and Angus on trombone. They had an interesting passage into music, Julia travelled through South America on a gap year absorbing the sights and sounds of the countries she visited whilst Angus taught himself guitar whilst recovering from a snowboarding accident.
When Julia returned to Australia, the pair began to gig in small venues, mainly billed as Angus with Julia offering occasional backing vocal. However their first gig as a duo at the Coogee Bay Hotel, they performed Angus' track, 'Tears'. By that time Julia was writing her own material and they played split sets with each providing backing vocals for the other's material. In 2006 they decided to collaborate indefinitely and it proved a winning formula as by the end of the same year the duo signed a worldwide publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Creative Artists Agency came on board as their UK-European agent.
Shortly after their recordings they gained noteirity in both their native Australia and the UK, In February 2007 they played their first national Australian tour which sold out completely. In the same month their early works 'Chocolates and Cigarettes' and 'Heart Full of Wine' were double-packed and released in Australia and the UK. The double EP reached No. 12 on the UK iTunes and their single, 'Private Lawns', was named Single of the Week on BBC Radio 2. The debut album followed that year and broke the top 10 in the Australian album charts and although it wasn't a commercial success throughout the world, it did receive critical praise from a number of publications including the British Guardian newspaper.
They continued to record as a duo whilst also working on solo material and touring constantly. The following two albums both topped the charts in Australia, whilst the self titled 2014 album made the top 10 around Europe in countries such as France, Germany and the Netherlands and managed to break into the top 100 of the UK album charts also.
Live reviews
Protracted by solo careers which were largely overshadowed by their joint efforts, sibling folk/indie rock sweethearts Angus and Julia Stone have once again reunited with work on a forthcoming album and a European festival tour circuit this summer. Her breathy vocals mixed with his smoky tones meant early success for the Australian duo, with their 2007 debut album A Book Like This having been a critical success. A few albums later, and the siblings decided to go their separate ways– that is, until super producer Rick Rubin decided they’d be better off together. And so here they are, working on their next album, together.
Their indie folk eccentricity emerges whole-heartedly onstage, with a mix of guitars, keyboards and even Julia’s surprising trumpeting skills, giving a unique instrumental mix to the traditionally acoustic sounds typical of generic folk rock. Julia undoubtedly brings the on-stage energy that Angus lacks, her voice’s unrelenting twang and honest interjections adding inadvertent optimism while he stands stoic, hiding behind his long hair and thick beard.
Their most recent showcases demonstrate more of a disjointed connection between the pair than before their mysterious hiatus, although their musicality seems more aligned than ever, surely the result of having co-written an album as a pair. No longer a double-billed act, Angus and Julia Stone are finally transforming into a duo, although you’re almost guaranteed to get a taste of their solo efforts in their live gigs.
Report as inappropriate
I had been a fan of Angus & Julia Stone for many years, however, when I decided to go to the concert on a whim, I was not expecting the level of entertainment and gut wrenching feelings I experienced during the show.
Starting off with the opening act, The Staves, with whom I was not very familiar with at first, but with whom I fell in love with by the end of their set. Their melodic and beautiful harmonies and lyrics were just breathtaking.
Following them were the delightfully anticipated main act, who are one of the most gorgeous siblings I have ever seen. They claimed a presence on stage that filled up the entire arena with their hauntingly mesmerizing voices.
Added to the spectacle of emotions that are Angus & Julia Stone songs, there was a touch of humor offered by Julia Stone, specifically during her cover of "You're the one that I want" where she joyfully asked us to sing "ho ho ho" instead of "ow ow ow" during the chorus, feeding the Christmas spirit. She also recounted a story of how, during a previous gig, a woman jumped on stage and proposed to Angus (understandably).
All in all, it was an unforgettable show filled with twinkle lights and single tears.
I saw the Melbourne show and A&J project a very nurturing but free spirited attitude upon a stadium.
I don't know what i was expecting but i've never seen a female more sensual on stage then Julia Stone, personally.
The backstories to the songs they've written felt very humbling.
I enjoyed the feelings of hopefulness that came with watching A&J bring back the opening acts, which they all then proceeded to rock out to Rock It by the Little Red.
Once A&J really got into Yellow Brick Road, i cried heavily but quietly for the rest of the show.
I've been to a number of concerts, but this was my favourite hands down.
Count on me to be there at their show for their every return to Melbourne, i already can't wait.
A truly memorable experience. Great songs, great light show, great value at only £25, and the very lovely Staves as the support. What a fantastic night. If you get the opportunity hear Julia's live version of 'You're the one that I want' from this the last show on their world tour, it'll send shivers down your spine, especially as she was singing it just to me! I wish.....
Seeing Angus and Julia stone at the opera house was definitely an experience to remember. They are dripping with talent, their music is soul nourishing and heart expanding. The lights were incredible, it felt like being outside in the countryside with the barn lights on and a good fire going. Try never to miss them if they're in your area.

Angus & Julia are AMAZING live! Julia's adorable and charming ways mixed with Angus makes this show unique and intimate in every way! Eye candy and ear candy for everyone!
I also thought this is what Portishead would sound like if she were in love living up the beach life on the west coast. :)
Lovely show with warm&talented performers. Astonishing stage visuals and a very impressive entrance. Beautiful, energic performance from Angus&Julia, especially when Julia played the trombone. What a heartwarming and refreshing performance! So worth going.

Scenic beauty, a fascinating artistic heritage and an epic history, all of this and more makes Europe a dream destination for curious travellers wanting a Europe guided tour. Lovely landscapes offer a diverse feast for the eyes, whether you head south to Spain and Italy , or east to Croatia and Romania or explore some of it's most beautiful islands such as Sicily, Sardinia or Malta . Alternatively, stay closer to home as you explore the French Riviera .
There are so many options and variety on our European tours. Discover the rich historical sites of Turkey - such as the legendary city of Troy or head to warmer climes to find beaches in all shapes and sizes, from dramatic and rugged to golden and idyllic. Then there’s Italy’s Tuscan hills , which are dotted with Cypress trees, while pastel-shaded houses cling precariously to the glorious coastline of Amalfi . And if you want to reach really dizzy heights, a holiday to the Swiss Alps offers jaw-dropping views in every direction. There’s a long list of man-made wonders to consider when choosing your European tour, too. Italy is crammed with treasures from top to toe, with Rome’s Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Florence’s Duomo for starters. The romance of France , and the magnificent Spain’s Alhambra Palace will leave you utterly spellbound. And you’ll wonder how on earth Greece’s Meteora Monasteries were built on towering rocks in the 11th century. The chance to step back in time is never too far away wherever your travels take you, with well-preserved historic treasures around every corner. Delve into the seemingly endless alleyways in Malta , where the Knights of St John would have roamed in the 14th century. Or stroll through Italy’s myriad medieval villages, which stand to this day untouched by time. Ponder life back in 79AD when the well-to-do city of Pompeii was smothered in hot ash by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. And you can walk in gladiators’ footsteps in Roman amphitheatres scattered right across the land. Sightseeing aside, a wonderful way to experience your chosen European holiday hot spot is through its cuisine. A cheese fondue, Kalamata olives, nutty olive oil, sun-ripened tomatoes, fish freshly plucked from the sea, earthy truffles – each country, and each region boasts its own specialities. And nothing quite beats breaking bread with the locals, or drinking a glass of wine in the very vineyard where the grapes were grown.

There is so much to see and enjoy across Europe from Germany’s architecture, to Frances artistic attractions and an array of historical sites in Italy.
Key attractions not to be missed on your tours are:
Italy – The Colosseum, built in AD 70-80 using travertine, limestone and volcanic rock, seating over 80,000 spectators, it was most famously known for its gladiator fights but it was also the arena for re-enactments of famous battles and executions. More remarkably, it was also the set for simulated sea battles! The arena would be filled with water so vessels could float in during the shows and drained rapidly afterwards. Equally as interesting is the engineering behind this theatre. It had a retractable awning to protect its spectators from the bad weather! Also hidden beneath the colosseum was a warren of tunnels and cells which held the gladiators and animals captive before they were sent to fight.
Another site not to miss in Italy is Pompeii – a 440,000 square meter town that was tragically engulfed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79. Approximately 10 percent of the population died and the city was buried under lava and volcanic ash. The lava preserved the town which means you can walk the streets and see the well-preserved buildings such as the Lupanare (brothel), and thermopolium (the Roman equivalent of fast food).
France - The famous Eiffel Tower, at the centre of Champ de Mars in Paris, built to be the entrance to the World's Fair in1889.This world famous structure has not always been admired though, in fact Engineer Gustave Eiffel was greatly criticised by locals, calling it a monstrosity! Never did he or they imagine quite how successful and important a structure it would be today, with its 81 floors of exhibits, viewing decks, cafes and gift shops.
Venice – The floating city. A romantic location with over 118 islands connected by the canals that run through Venice. Grab a gondola and sit back, relax and take in the scenery.
Romania – Dracula’s Castle - Bram Stoker’s 1897 Gothic, horror novel Dracula may be imaginary, but the castle isn’t. It was the real life setting of the sinister novel and is located just outside of Brasov in Romania. Officially known as Bran Castle it includes all the weapons and armour that is mentioned in Bram’s book. As for the blood-sucker himself, Bram used Vlad the Impaler as his muse. A ruler who was notorious for brutal torture and demise of in excess of 10,000 people during his reign.
Turkey – Turkey has an array of wonders to offer from Mosques to palaces, to hot springs and the famous bazaars
There is so much delicious food to be tasted across Europe and such a variety from one country to another. From delightful seafood in Portugal , Greece and Croatia to perfect pasta dishes in Italy and world-famous desserts in Austria.
While in Romania you can try stuffed cabbage rolls and in Turkey , anyone with a sweet tooth must try the ancient, traditional pastry dessert of baklava.
There really is something for everyone.

My wife & I have just completed the Journey of a Lifetime 16 day 15 night Trip as organised by Express to Russia. We also had a tour of St Petersburg & Moscow as well. The planning & execution of both trips was well above our expectations. The guides we had in all of our destinations were exceptional & the meet & greet & return to the stations went as smooth as clockwork. We had one minor hitch but that was through no fault of Express to Russia..a quick email from our Ipad had the problem resolved immediately We did have some misgivings at the start about doing the booking online ourselves but Elena was wonderful & answered all of our questions promptly & to our satisfaction. We felt comfortable with the whole process. The train trip is wonderful with Mongolia being a "special " place for us! We highly recommend Elena & her company. I am happy to answer any questions any body may wish to ask.
Thank you so very much for organizing our trip. Everything went wonderfully, and we really enjoyed our time in Russia. Moscow was beautiful, Lake Baikal was very cold, yet very fun to swim in, and the DPR Koreans that I met and made friends with in Vladivostok was beyond priceless. The guides you got for us did an exceptional job, and the drivers helped us out a lot as well. The hotels you got for us were great, and the room you got for us in the Vladivostok really made the long stay comfortable. The trains were also very enjoyable as was the Russian hospitality, although we really weren´t expecting people to be so generous or helpful. Overall, the trip was wonderful, and you arranged it magnificently. You really went out of your way to accommodate my schedule and help me with my schoolwork, so I really appreciate it; I couldn´t have done it without you. So once again, thank you for all of your efforts, and hopefully in the future you will be able to help us out again. Take care, and thank you for everything.

Trans-Siberian Train
The main route of the Trans-Siberian Railway begins in Moscow and heads east to Vladivostok passing through Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Ulan Ude, Chita, Blagoveshchensk and Khabarovsk. The length of the route is 9259 km or 5753 miles. The train travels through 7 time zones and takes 8 days to complete without making overnight stops. The Trans-Siberian splits off into a few other fascinating directions as well:
Trans-Mongolian Train
The Trans-Mongolian Line was built from 1940 to 1956 between Ulan-Ude at Lake Baikal’s eastern shore and the Chinese capital Beijing. From Ulan-Ude the tracks go south towards Mongolia, crossing the great Gobi Desert and finally ending up in Beijing. This route is a mere 7867 kilometers long (Moscow - Beijing).
Trans-Manchurian Train
The Trans-Manchurian Line runs on the same route as the Trans-Siberian as far as Tarskaya, which is a few hundred miles east of Baikal. From Tarskaya, the line runs southeast into China near Zabaikalsk and makes its way down to Beijing. This route is a 9001 kilometres long (Moscow - Beijing).

Frequently Asked Questions From Our Travelers
Where does the trans-siberian railway start and where does it end.
The Trans-Siberian Railway starts in Moscow and extends all the way to Vladivostok on the Pacific Ocean. This route connects the European part of Russia, the Ural region, Siberia and the Russian Far East.
Are Beijing and Ulan Bator stops along the Trans-Siberian railway?
Beijing and Ulan Bator are parts of Trans-Mongolian railway - an offshoot of the main Trans-Siberian Railway. There are many options to arrange your travel: to visit Ulan Bator and or follow the Trans-Siberian railway to or from Vladivostok.
Can I use the hop-on hop-off principle when traveling by Trans-Siberian train?
Unfortunately, that is not possible. Train tickets in Russia are not open, so you will need a separate ticket with a particular date for each leg of your trip - for example, you may go all the way from Moscow to Vladivostok, but you will only be able to leave the train for short stops at the railway stations. In case if you would like to explore different cities on the way, you will need separate tickets, for example Moscow – Yekaterinburg, Yekaterinburg – Irkutsk, Irkutsk - Vladivostok. We offer carefully planned private tours that will allow you to visit several cities on your way.
Are there showers aboard Trans-Siberian trains?
Most of the Trans-Siberian trains do not have showers, and there are two WCs per each carriage. Please consider it while planning your trip. We recommend to choose shorter distances (that is, to plan more overnight stops in the cities along the way) to avoid the inconvenience of not showering. Another option is to choose the trip on board a more luxurious train which has all the on-board amenities that one might need.
Are meals included on the board of Trans-Siberian express train?
When traveling with RZD regular trains meals are not included. You can easily buy your meals in the restaurant car. Another option is to buy local specialties from “babushkas” (grandmothers, or simply Russian old ladies) on the short train stops along the way. This is a very authentic way of getting your meals.
What is the most comfortable way to travel on the Trans-Siberian railroad?
There are luxurious trains on the Trans-Siberian railway that are quite different from regular RZD trains and can be described as 5* hotels on wheels. We offer this type of accommodation on the Imperial Russia train where you can enjoy a full board menu, a shower and a comfortable compartment.

Former President Donald Trump appears at Manhattan criminal court during jury deliberations in his criminal hush money trial in New York on Thursday. Steven Hirsch/New York Post via Associated Press
NEW YORK — Donald Trump became the first former American president to be convicted of felony crimes Thursday as a New York jury found him guilty of all 34 charges in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through a hush money payment to a porn actor who said the two had sex.
Trump sat stone-faced while the verdict was read as cheering from the street below could be heard in the hallway on the courthouse’s 15th floor where the decision was revealed after more than nine hours of deliberations.
“This was a rigged, disgraceful trial,” an angry Trump told reporters after leaving the courtroom. “The real verdict is going to be Nov. 5 by the people. They know what happened, and everyone knows what happened here.”
Judge Juan Merchan set sentencing for July 11, just days before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, where GOP leaders, who remained resolute in their support in the aftermath of the verdict, are expected to formally make him their nominee.
Challenges await Trump jurors after ‘surreal experience’
The verdict is a stunning legal reckoning for Trump and exposes him to potential prison time in the city where his manipulations of the tabloid press helped catapult him from a real estate tycoon to reality television star and ultimately president. As he seeks to reclaim the White House in this year’s election, the judgment presents voters with another test of their willingness to accept Trump’s boundary-breaking behavior.
Trump is expected to appeal the verdict and will face an awkward dynamic as he returns to the campaign trail tagged with convictions. There are no campaign rallies on the calendar for now, though he’s expected to appear Friday at Trump Tower and traveled Thursday to a fundraiser in Manhattan planned before the verdict, according to three people familiar with his plans who were not authorized to speak publicly. Trump’s campaign fundraised off the verdict, including a pitch that called him a “political prisoner.” Advertisement
The falsifying business records charges carry up to four years behind bars, though Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg would not say Thursday if prosecutors intend to seek imprisonment, and it is not clear whether the judge – who earlier in the trial warned of jail time for gag order violations – would impose that punishment even if asked.
The conviction, and even imprisonment, will not bar Trump from continuing his White House pursuit.
Trump faces three other felony indictments, but the New York case may be the only one to reach a conclusion before the November election, adding to the significance of the outcome. Though the legal and historical implications of the verdict are readily apparent, the political consequences are less so given its potential to reinforce rather than reshape already hardened opinions about Trump.
For another candidate in another time, a criminal conviction might doom a presidential run, but Trump’s political career has endured through two impeachments, allegations of sexual abuse, investigations into everything from potential ties to Russia to plotting to overturn an election, and personally salacious storylines, including the emergence of a recording in which he boasted about grabbing women’s genitals.
The case’s general allegations have also been known to voters for years and, while tawdry, are widely seen as less grievous than the allegations he faces in three other cases that charge him with subverting American democracy and mishandling national security secrets.
Ahead of the verdict, Trump’s campaign had argued that, no matter the jury’s decision, the outcome was unlikely to sway voters and that the election would be decided by issues such as inflation. Advertisement
Even so, the verdict is likely to give President Biden and fellow Democrats space to sharpen arguments that Trump is unfit for office, though the White House offered only a muted statement that it respected the rule of law. Conversely, the decision will provide fodder for the presumptive Republican nominee to advance his unsupported claims that he is victimized by a criminal justice system he insists is politically motivated against him.
Trump maintained throughout the trial that he had done nothing wrong and that the case should never have been brought, railing against the proceedings from inside the courthouse – where he was joined by a parade of high-profile Republican allies – and racking up fines for violating a gag order with inflammatory out-of-court comments about witnesses.
After the verdict, Trump lawyer Todd Blanche said in television news interviews that he did not believe Trump received a fair trial and that the team would appeal based on the judge’s refusal to recuse himself and because of what he suggested was excessive pretrial publicity.
Republicans showed no sign of loosening their embrace of the party leader, with House Speaker Mike Johnson lamenting what he called “a shameful day in American history.” He called the case “a purely political exercise, not a legal one.”
The first criminal trial of a former American president always presented a unique test of the court system, not only because of Trump’s prominence but also because of his relentless broadsides on the foundation of the case and its participants. But the verdict from the 12-person jury marked a repudiation of Trump’s efforts to undermine confidence in the proceedings or to potentially impress the panel with a show of GOP support.
“While this defendant may be unlike any other in American history, we arrived at this trial and ultimately today in this verdict in the same manner as every other case that comes through the courtroom doors, by following the facts and the law and doing so without fear or favor,” Bragg said after the verdict. Advertisement
The trial involved charges that Trump falsified business records to cover up a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels, the porn actor who said she had sex with the married Trump in 2006.
The $130,000 payment came from Trump’s former lawyer and personal fixer Michael Cohen to buy Daniels’ silence during the final weeks of the 2016 race in what prosecutors allege was an effort to interfere in the election. When Cohen was reimbursed, the payments were recorded as legal expenses, which prosecutors said was an unlawful attempt to mask the true purpose of the transaction.
Trump’s lawyers contend they were legitimate payments for legal services. He denied the sexual encounter, and his lawyers argued at trial that his celebrity status made him an extortion target.
Defense lawyers also said hush money deals to bury negative stories about Trump were motivated by personal considerations such as the impact on his family, not political ones. They also sought to undermine the credibility of Cohen, the star prosecution witness who pleaded guilty in 2018 to federal charges related to the payments, by suggesting he was driven by personal animus toward Trump and fame and money.
The trial featured weeks of occasionally riveting testimony that revisited an already well-documented chapter from Trump’s past, when his 2016 campaign was threatened by the disclosure of an “Access Hollywood” recording that captured him talking about grabbing women sexually without their permission and the prospect of other stories about Trump and sex surfacing that would be harmful to his candidacy.
Trump did not testify, but jurors heard his voice through a secret recording of a conversation with Cohen in which he and the lawyer discussed a $150,000 hush money deal involving a Playboy model, Karen McDougal, who has said she had an affair with Trump. Trump denies that affair. Advertisement
Daniels herself testified, offering a vivid recounting of the sexual encounter she says they had in a Lake Tahoe hotel suite. The former publisher of the National Enquirer, David Pecker, testified about how he worked to keep stories harmful to the Trump campaign from becoming public at all, including by having his company buy McDougal’s story.
Jurors also heard from Keith Davidson, the lawyer who negotiated the hush money payments on behalf of Daniels and McDougal. He detailed the tense negotiations to get both women compensated for their silence but also faced aggressive questioning from a Trump attorney who noted Davidson had helped broker similar hush money deals in cases involving other prominent figures.
The most pivotal witness, by far, was Cohen, who during days of testimony gave an insider’s view of the hush money scheme and what he said was Trump’s detailed knowledge of it.
“Just take care of it,” he quoted Trump as saying.
He offered jurors the most direct link between Trump and the heart of the charges, recounting a meeting in which a plan to have Cohen reimbursed in monthly installments for legal services was discussed.
And he emotionally described his dramatic break with Trump in 2018, when he began cooperating with prosecutors after a decade-long career as the then-president’s personal fixer. Advertisement
“To keep the loyalty and to do the things that he had asked me to do, I violated my moral compass, and I suffered the penalty, as has my family,” Cohen said.
The case, though criticized by some legal experts who called it the weakest of the prosecutions against Trump, took on added importance not only because it proceeded to trial first but also because it could be the only only one to reach a jury before the election.
The other three – local and federal cases in Atlanta and Washington alleging that he conspired to overturn the 2020 election, as well as a federal indictment in Florida charging him with illegally hoarding top-secret records – are bogged down by delays or appeals.
Associated Press journalists Ruth Brown, Joseph B. Frederick, John Minchillo, Mary Conlon, Ted Shaffrey, Cedar Attanasio, Julie Walker, Seth Wenig and Julia Nikhinson in New York and Alanna Durkin Richer in Washington contributed to this report.
