Capri VIP & Blue Grotto

Transfer to the port of Massa Lubrense and departure to Capri. The first stop is at the Blue Grotto which can be visited unless adverse sea conditions. Tour of the island passing through the lighthouse, the Green Grotto, Marina Piccola stopping to have a swim and the possibility of having snacks and drinks offered on board, the Faraglioni, villa Malaparte and the White Grotto. Disembark in Marina Grande with 4 hours free to visit the island. In the afternoon return to Massa Lubrense and transfer to the hotel.

Tour Description

The tour starts with our English speaking hiking guide from Sorrento taking the old pathway called Capodimonte of Villazzano , going down to Marina della Lobra where you will get the boat for a special excursion along the coast. Passing by San Montano, there will be  a stop to have your break packed lunch. After that you will move through the spectacular bay of Jeranto, the exclusive zone of the Punta Campanella's Marine Park. Here, you will do kayak and snorkel activity or simple swim. At the end return to Sorrento.

Trekking description:

• Length:  5-6  km
• Duration: 3 hours
• Rate: moderate (no suitable for cardiopathic people and who suffer from vertigo)
• Recommended equipments: hiking shoes, cap, sunglasses, solar protection cream, water, swimming clothes, bath towel

Due to availability our boats are inflatable boat or fiberglass boat with 15 kv outboard motor. Save equipment, masks and snorkels on board.

A seaside village with a timeless charm.

Enclosed in a natural inlet on the coast, the ancient fishing village of Marina della Lobra is dominated by the Lobra Sanctuary , to which it owes its name.

The inhabited area, an agglomeration of multicolored houses, still populated today mainly by fishermen, develops all around the steps leading from the church down to the sea, and offers the visitor an undoubtedly picturesque spectacle, in its entirety of sounds, colors and smells with a typically Mediterranean charm.

Marina della Lobra is about 2 kilometers from Massa Centro and can be reached on foot or by car taking via Palma from Largo Vescovado; on foot it will take about 15 minutes going down via Colombo. A pedestrian path connects the village to the San Montano Riviera.

In summer, numerous boats and organized trips depart from here to explore the beauties of the Lubrense coast, Capri and the Amalfi Coast.

Although it does not have a real beach, it is possible to bathe from the cliff or take advantage of the solarium on via Chiaia. During the high season, it is the best choice for those looking for less crowded places. There is no shortage of lovely restaurants and bars overlooking the sea, in a privileged position to enjoy the spectacle of the sunset.

The small port of Lobra is protected to the west by a cliff that rests on the rocky wall of Capo Corbo dominated by Torre Toledo which is part of the system of Saracen watchtowers arranged along the coast in the Aragonese era. This tower was actually pre-existing, it dates back to the Angevin period to be exact and was later adapted by the Aragonese for defense purposes.

The rock Vervece

Just in front of the village of Marina della Lobra, not even a mile from the coast, the characteristic rock of Vervece (from the Latin vervex , goat) rises from the waters, a real marine sanctuary. Every year, in fact, on the first or second Sunday of September, a celebration takes place at the foot of the Vervece in memory of all those who have lost their lives at sea. At the end of the celebration, divers offer a laurel wreath to the statue of the Virgin, known as Madonnina del Vervece. This statue was placed on a rock face, 12 meters deep, in 1975 at the behest of Enzo Maiorca, who the previous year had achieved the world record in freediving depth right in the stretch of water around the Vervece. But Mallorca is not the only one to have reached an important milestone in these waters, even the Marine Protected Area of ​​Punta Campanella, founded in 1997, can boast excellent results. Thanks to the protection work of the Park, the walls of the rock teem with marine species, a rare spectacle of biodiversity.

How to get to Marina della Lobra By car Marina della Lobra is easily accessible by car, taking Via Palma from Largo Vescovado to Massa Centro and continuing to the end of the road. There is a place for your car in the parking lot at the end of the road or in the blue lines. Public transport Few SITA buses reach Marina della Lobra, departing from Sorrento or Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi. It is advisable to consult the timetable .

Worst Experience of my life! Stay away from this company! Unreliable Unprofessional. Not worth it. Stay away from them.

Horrible experience. Unprofessional. Unsafe. They don’t do what they promise. They refused to give me a refund after all they did. Go with other company, not with them! I only booked with them because my host did it for me. I wouldn’t choose them after seeing the bad reviews they have everywhere! Totally scam!!

Fabulous place! Small but busy marina, lots of boat trips leave from here. The locals are so friendly and have time to chat and pass the time of day with you. The shop owner Antonio was funny and lovely to chat to and booked our boat trips for us. Angelo and his 3 daughters who run Angelo's restaurant made our week special. any advise you need Angelo will help as he sits outside each night while his girls look after the customers. It's the place to go for meeting people from all over the world as it's small and friendly There are small bathing areas with sunbeds and umbrellas to hire If you want a big busy beach stay this isn't for you. With only 3 or 4 restaurants /bars there is no hustle or bustle here just leave and quiet 😍

Excellent way to get to and see Capri. The views speak for themselves. My review is prompted by the interconnection between the boat crew and the transportation from our villa and the port. Sweet and simple, once aboard the vessel, I realized I had left my phone in the transportation cab/van. I notified the crew member (Sabrina) and after some calling around I was notified my phone would be with the driver who would be picking us up in 7 hours! I was totally relieved. They refused any tip and acted as no big deal. High kudos every way you look at it. Highly recommend.

Stayed here in August, it was busy every day despite there not being much to see. It’s quite pretty but is principally a working harbour - boats buzzing in and out all day and night! There are a couple of restaurants, Angelos is reasonably priced but the others rely on their location and food is quite expensive and fairly mediocre. There is very limited parking, €15 a day and you have to leave the keys !!! The road in and out is treacherous at night with cars parked either side, pedestrians wandering about and scooters with a death wish, however, unless you like a very quiet holiday you really will need your own transport and plenty of cash to park. There is also the inconvenience of having to leave the car up at the car park and then wait for it to be retrieved by an attendant, who may or may not be available she you want it back. We enjoyed a couple of days but felt a week was too much for us. Would recommend for those who like a rustic get away from it all holiday. We much preferred the buzz of Sorrento.
