Ricky Gervais is returning for another UK-wide tour, called Armageddon , in 2023.
Gervais received acclaim as well as widespread criticism for his last tour, Humanity , which took place in 2019 and included controversial humour deemed “less entertainment than experiment.”

Gervais performed a number of Armageddon warm-up shows last summer. “Another amazing audience at @lsqtheatre for my #Armageddon new material night,” he wrote on Twitter at the time.
“They laughed at things that shouldn’t be laughed at and I have reported them all for hate crimes. I’ll do more soon.”
How to get Ricky Gervais tickets
The general sale starts from Friday 31 March 31 at 10am local time . Ticket prices have not been released for the upcoming dates yet.

Gervais performed a number of Armageddon warm-up shows last year. Back in June, he joked that he had reported his fans “for hate crimes” for laughing at this new material.
“Another amazing audience at @lsqtheatre for my #Armageddon new material night,” Gervais wrote on Twitter. They laughed at things that shouldn’t be laughed at and I have reported them all for hate crimes. I’ll do more soon.”
Earlier this year, Gervais faced criticism over “transphobic” jokes in his Netflix special SuperNature . After the special was released, the comedian defended making “taboo” jokes , saying comedy is for “getting us over taboo subjects so they’re not scary anymore”.

Ricky Gervais releases Platinum tickets for UK tour
Ricky gervais is taking on touts by adding platinum tickets to his humanity tour..
A limited number of Platinum tickets have been allocated to Ricky Gervais’ new Humanity world tour, guaranteeing premium seats at market rate. The move aims to dissuade touts from accessing the tickets, with some of the profit being donated to charity.
“My frustration with touts is twofold: people spending way over the odds on tickets from illegal touts and, the association that ticket touts are connected in some way to my tour without my consent,” he explains. “Platinum tickets feels like a good way to try and stand up against ticket touts making a fast buck by exploiting fans and this way people willing to pay higher prices will at least know it’s going to charity instead of some scummy tout.
“If this scheme works it will take back some of the millions of pounds scalped every year by touts and divert it to worthy causes. I will split the extra profits generated between Macmillan Cancer Support and the RSPCA.”
The Humanity tour sees Gervais take to the United States, Canada and Europe. Here are those confirmed UK dates:
21 February – Colston Hall, Bristol 22 February – Colston Hall, Bristol 23 February – Colston Hall, Bristol 28 February – Barbican, York 1 March – Barbican, York 6 March – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff 7 March – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff 13 March – O2 Apollo, Manchester 14 March – O2 Apollo, Manchester 15 March – Empire, Liverpool 22 March – BIC, Bournemouth 23 March – BIC, Bournemouth 28 March – Waterfront, Belfast 29 March – Waterfront, Belfast

Ricky Gervais to increase security ahead of upcoming UK tour - report
The comedian's team have ordered a full security review ahead of his UK tour Armageddon which starts on Wednesday, according to The Sun.
Monday 12 June 2023 10:40, UK
Ricky Gervais is set to increase his security ahead of his upcoming UK tour after he reportedly received death threats following jokes he had made.
Gervais' team have ordered a full security review ahead of his UK tour Armageddon, which starts on Wednesday in Cardiff, according to The Sun.
The 61-year-old comedian co-created hit television shows such as The Office and After Life.
A source told the paper the star has been "made aware threats have been made to his life", including "disturbing letters".
"Ricky is very aware of the dangers and he can afford whatever security he wants, so he thought it was a no-brainer," they added.

The paper reports that it was understood at least one threat referred to comments in his Netflix special SuperNature that were slammed by LGBTQ+ activists for being "anti-trans".
His hour-long routine includes a series of jokes about gender identity and the gay community, which prompted GLAAD, a US LGBT rights group, to call the show "dangerous".
Gervais defended the programme , saying he wanted to take the "audience to a place it hasn't been before".

Earlier this year, Gervais said on Twitter that Armageddon will stream on Netflix from next year.
Last year, comedian Dave Chappelle was "tackled" by a man who was carrying a replica gun containing a knife blade during a stand-up Netflix show in Los Angeles.
