Top-Rated Service to Guarantee Your Enjoyment ★★★★★
The staff on board were so kind, helpful and fun to be with! I was thankful there was plenty of seating and a shady area in the center of the boat. The staff helped me with my snorkel gear and pointed out a sea turtle when we were in the water. My husband and I really enjoyed this excursion and would do it again!
This was one of the best choices we made for our trip! The views were incredible. It was our first time in Aruba and I'm so glad we chose the sunset cruise. The dinner following the cruise was delicious and right on the water, it was amazing.
The sunset cruise & seaside dinner is a must, such a fun time on the cruise, the crew, especially Chocolate Thunder are so much fun. Lots of yummy drinks and snacks. The seaside dinner followed on the pier and was outstanding, Gary’s Delight and grilled grouper is so delicious.
Great way to spend a day in Aruba. Extremely friendly/fun staff, typical open bar w. cheap champagne / liquor. No beer provided a bummer. Food was mediocre, but not the reason we booked this excursion anyway. Fritz & crew made the experience incredible.
This is one of the best if not the best tour, you have 4 hours and half minutes starting the day of pure fun, crew is great, good music, great spots and for each stop you have 45 minutes, and open bar. Now food and drinks are ok but the main feature of the tour are not that. So maybe a bit pricey but def worth it.

HERE’S WHAT OUR GUESTS ARE SAYING ABOUT US!
Was in Aruba for a week and decided to do the morning snorkel cruise with jolly pirates. It was a highlight of our trip and very much recommend them. The trip went to 3 spots that were all beautiful. They offered full equipment and open bar as well. The food that was served was delicious. Crew was funny and very nice. We will be back with jolly pirates next time we come to Aruba.
We sailed with jolly pirates yesterday as a family of 10 with 3 little ones. I cannot say enough how great the crew was! The snorkeling sites were great and the lunch was delicious! I would recommend this excursion to anyone! We will do this everytime we visit Aruba!!! 10 out of 10!!!!
We had a BLAST on the trip. When we got back to the hotel pool to meet up with everyone that had to work, or was too "busy" or nervous to go with us were so jealous. We had so much fun. We did the rope swing, snorkeled everywhere, and loved every minute of it. On trips like this you think lunch, ok, cold meat sandwich. Heck no! The BBQ lunch was perfect, plenty, and the bar tenders took great care of us too.
We had so much fun doing the morning snorkel. Open bar, food was good, and the snorkeling and jumping off the ship was amazing! In fact, we loved it so much we did the sunset cruise the following day! It was a great time! The staff were friendly, funny and extremely helpful!
Amazing time on board, crew was hilarious and very polite. My friends and I went on twice for the morning and sunset cruise. Snorkeling was gorgeous the shipwreck was beyond crazing to see. Drinks fast and served in style. The crew member took kids on there back to rope swing doing flips and also dancing with everyone. Great music great time would recommend for groups of friends or for the family!
Absolutely wonderful day of fun in the sun!! We will definitely return when we come back to the happy island!! The crew, the food, the snorkeling, the rope swing were awesome but the Pirates Poison was the best!!
We went on this cruise with our wedding group. Fantastic morning cruise. Snorkeling, lunch, swinging from the rope into the water. Well worth the money. Would definately do this again!
What an awesome morning! A must do excursion while in Aruba! Starts out with a great ride to the Antilles wreck. Then two more 25-30 minute stops for more snorkeling. Saw thousands of super cool fish in easy to see areas. Then rope swing and food. Easy day for the whole family. Big ship to cruise smoothly in. Very safe for the whole family. Can’t wait to come back next year!

The tour is of excellent quality !! They take you to know the whole island and give you a lot of information! Of course, it is not appropriate for young children! The natural pool, the desert part, baby beach and Palm Island, everything was excellent
Incredible experience! During the month of January 2020 we made this tour with 6 friends, we toured the island from end to end, passing through the lighthouse, natural bridges, natural pool, baby beach. Super recommended this tour and the company
Excellent service and attention, we were three people, one adult and two young people, at the airport they were waiting for us on our arrival, very friendly and cordial. On the return, the service was very punctual, unlike other Caribbean countries, here punctuality is very important and is met. Of course they have air conditioning and excellent buses, the drivers spoke Spanish.
Excellent experience, Ritchie, and Albert are geniuses !!!!! It is very beautiful ... a lot of adrenaline, a beauty the landscape and the natural pools not to be missed, you can see beautiful colored fish.
We had an incredible time on this tour, Rafael was a very good driver, quite busy but fun at the same time, each stop offers something interesting, swimming in the natural pool is magical, next year we will definitely return! And although the pastechi (dessert) was small, it was delicious.
I recommend the submarine, an experience of another level, very excellent, it exceeds my expectations and the first-class service takes you to a depth of 130 feet where you can see 2 ships submerged, a brutal experience
We did the tour in a 16 passenger Safari type super truck (Off-Road Safari), visiting the Arakok park and ending at Baby Beach. MAC our driver and guide 100% recommended! He was very aware of the safety (especially of my son) to stop for the photos and to make us jump and laugh!

Drive a 4-wheel-drive vehicle to the eastern shore of Aruba, a spectacularly scenic area full of natural wonders and a 19th-century gold mill. Your Utility Terrain Vehicle or UTV has better traction that most ATVs and is made for heavier duty, so it is ideal to negotiate the island’s rugged terrain. You can drive the 2-person UTV or ride along as a passenger. Either way, it will be a thrill. Although Aruba isn’t often associated with a gold rush, it did experience one after the precious metal was discovered in 1824. You will see evidence of the frenzy that followed at the ruins of the abandoned Bushiribana Gold Mill. Not far off, you will view beautiful Blackstone Beach, the island’s only beach made of volcanic black pebbles, and a natural rock bridge that the pounding of the sea created. Later, back on the island’s western shore, you can enjoy a refreshing swim at Mangel Halto Beach.
• Drive a Utility Terrain Vehicle made for off-road adventure or ride along as a passenger. • See a 19th-century gold mill that was abandoned after Aruba’s gold rush ended a century later. • View the island’s only volcanic black-pebble beach and a natural bridge along the sea. • Take a refreshing swim in the sea at a popular beach south of Oranjestad.
HELPFUL HINTS
• Dress in weather-appropriate clothing with a swimsuit underneath. • Bring a towel and sunscreen. • Wear flat comfortable walking shoes.

Ride across the island in an open-air Jeep to a natural pool along the sea and a cave adorned with centuries-old pictographs. You will enjoy uninterrupted views of the gorgeous countryside as you travel through Aruba’s rugged interior, often on roads only accessible in a 4-wheel-drive vehicle. The seaside pool lies within the Arikok National Park, an environmentally protected wonderland that covers nearly 20% of the island. It will be immensely relaxing to ease into the crystal-clear waters of the secluded pool, which fills a bowl-like depression in the volcanically formed shoreline. Nearby, you will explore Fontein Cave, whose limestone walls are covered with reddish-brown drawings – some floor-to-ceiling – that the indigenous Arawaks created long ago. Anthropologists speculate that the artists may have been under the influence of psychedelics. To experience a weird sensation yourself, dip your feet into the freshwater pool nearby and enjoy a fish pedicure of sorts.
• Ride through Aruba’s rugged interior, often on roads only suitable for a 4-wheel-drive vehicle. • Enjoy panoramic views of the volcanically formed terrain, which at times is desert-like. • Relax in a natural pool along the sea in the Arikok National Park. • View centuries-old pictographs that the Arawaks drew in the depths of Fontein Cave.

11 Aruba Activities That Are Perfect for Cruisers
Posted: May 25, 2024 | Last updated: May 25, 2024
Stopping in Aruba on a cruise across the Caribbean? For those anchoring on the sunny island of Aruba while on a cruise, you’ll quickly realize it’s more than just a port stop. With its pristine white sands, turquoise waters, and vibrant local culture, Aruba is a tropical paradise packed with countless opportunities for cruise lovers. And it’s small size makes it easier to see more in less time.
I asked Melissa from My Beautiful Passport who’s been to Aruba, what there is to do near the cruise port. From enjoying a shore excursion or relaxing on a beautiful beach, let’s dive into what to do in Aruba on a cruise port day.
1. Visit Oranjestad
With its charming streets, lively atmosphere, and cultural treasures, Oranjestad offers a fulfilling experience to cruise visitors. History lovers can explore the National Archaeological Museum which features a collection for the 3500+ years of civilization in Aruba.
Sample some delicious local cuisine at one of the many restaurants or try a refreshing Aruban cocktail at a local bar. Don’t miss out on the local shops selling unique souvenirs or head to the shopping malls for popular stores. Dropping anchor in Aruba would be incomplete without exploring its vibrant capital of Oranjestad.
2. Explore Arikok National Park
For nature lovers looking for an adventure, taking a half-day trip to Arikok National Park is a must-do. Covering almost 20% of the island, this natural reserve boasts a desert landscape with caves and dramatic rock formations. There are so many cacti! Start with a hike up to Jamanota Hill, the highest point in Aruba, for breathtaking panoramic views. Bring plenty of water though!
Visit Fontein Cave and Quadirikiri Cave to admire the ancient rock paintings. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for Aruba’s unique wildlife, such as exotic birds and the Aruban whiptail lizard. Remember to pack your swimsuit for a refreshing dip in the Natural Pool, a hidden gem protected from the rough sea by a wall of rocks. An Arikok National Park tour is an unforgettable way to spend a Aruban cruise port day.
3. Relax at Eagle Beach
For cruise-goers ready to relax, add a visit to Eagle Beach on your Aruban itinerary. Known for its picturesque white sands, clear waters, and Fofoti trees, Eagle Beach is just a short drive or taxi ride away from the port. Enjoy sunbathing, going for a refreshing dip, or simply basking in the stunning beach views. And there are a variety of restaurants in the area to enjoy lunch.
With its easy access and charming setting, Eagle Beach offers an unmissable beach experience for cruise visitors in Aruba. It’s also a great beach for watching the sunset. So if your cruise is staying later, plan to be here to watch the sky light up in vibrant shades of orange and red.
4. Tour the Aruba Aloe Factory
For an insight into Aruba’s rich aloe heritage, a visit to the Aruba Aloe Factory is recommended on your shore day. Home to the world’s oldest aloe company, they offer free guided tours of their museum and factory, where you can view the aloe processing and learn about the plant’s uses. Or you can choose to tour the museum on your own.
And don’t forget to stop by the gift shop, where you can buy high-quality aloe products as a unique souvenir from Aruba. They sell sunscreen, face products, and more. Aruba Aloe is committed to sustainable practices, making it a memorable addition to any Aruba cruise itinerary. Factory tours are only 15 minutes so you still have plenty of time to see other things on the island after.
5. Go Snorkelling at Boca Catalina
On your cruise day, don’t miss the opportunity to explore Aruba’s underwater wonderworld. Its calm waters are home to coral formations, vibrant tropical fish, and a sunken shipwreck, making it the perfect snorkelling spot. You’ll need to go on a snorkel tour to reach the Antilla shipwreck but can access the coral and sea life from the beach.
Whether you’re an expert swimmer or a newbie, snorkelling into these beautiful waters will give you a firsthand look at the island’s rich marine biodiversity. Remember to pack your waterproof camera or a waterproof case for your phone to capture memories of your underwater adventure!

6. Visit the California Lighthouse
Built in 1910, the California Lighthouse is an iconic Aruba landmark. You can climb to the top and enjoy panoramic views of the island’s northwestern coastline. Aruba is very flat overall, so it offers one of the best views of Aruba.
After your visit, make sure to stop by a nearby beach for a swim or relaxing. If your cruise is staying in Aruba for dinner, you can book a private dinner inside the top of the lighthouse.
7. Swim in the Natural Pool
Natural Pool, or “Conchi” as it’s locally known, is a fun Aruban adventure. This secluded pool, created by volcanic rock formations that shield it from the rough Caribbean Sea, provides a serene spot for a refreshing swim or snorkel. While it’s inside Arikok, it takes work to get to, which makes getting there to be part of the fun.
You can opt for a thrilling off-road vehicle ride or a horseback journey across the rugged Aruban landscape. It’s one of the most popular natural attractions on the island and you’ll find it included on almost every Aruba island tour. Remember to pack your swimwear, snorkel gear, and a sense of adventure for this unforgettable shore excursion.
8. Explore Palm Beach
Palm Beach is a must-visit for every cruise ship passenger stopping in Aruba. This popular neighbourhood is a beach-goer’s paradise with its white sands and clear waters that are great for a leisurely swim or a water adventure. Here, you can rent kayaks and jet skis, or even go parasailing to add some thrill to your beach day, or simply rent a beach chair and lounge under a swaying palm enjoying the warm Aruban sun.
The beach is lined with a variety of restaurants and bars, offering an opportunity to taste local cuisine and refreshing tropical cocktails. Just a few steps away, you’ll find shops and a nightlife scene, ensuring there’s something for everyone on Palm Beach. It’s the perfect way to spend your cruise day, immersing yourself in Aruba’s vibrant beach culture.
9. Try Local Cuisine
On your cruise to Aruba, don’t forget to pause and enjoy some of the local cuisine. Aruban food is a blend of Caribbean , South American, and Dutch influences, offering a unique culinary adventure. You can start with a taste of Keshi Yena, a traditional dish made with cheese and stuffed with spiced meat.
Or perhaps try some fresh seafood like Aruban Ceviche, a delightful medley of citrus-marinated fish or shrimp. My favourite food to try was the pastechi, which is the Aruban form of an empanada and is great for snacking. Sampling these local delicacies offers a delicious way to experience the island’s culture during your short visit.

10. Visit Flamingo Beach
A visit to Flamingo Beach is a fun way to spend a day when on a cruise stop in Aruba. Situated on the private Renaissance Island—just a quick boat ride away from Oranjestad—this beach offers a unique opportunity to get up close with friendly flamingos in the turquoise waters. Chances are you’ve seen photos of these flamingos all over social media.
Enjoy a peaceful sunbathing session amongst these captivating birds, capture Instagram-worthy photos, or even feed them. Just to let you know, admission to the island is limited to guests of the Renaissance Resort, but day passes can be purchased same-day, subject to availability. Try to visit outside peak season and have a backup plan for if passes are sold out. If you do snag passes, enjoy a memorable visit to Flamingo Beach.

11. See Street Art in San Nicolas
While it’s not near the cruise port, San Nicolas is a stroll that’s worth your time if you want to get away from the crowds and see something unique in Aruba . Located in southern Aruba, the city’s streets and alleys are covered with murals painted by local and international artists.
These art styles range from vibrant abstract pieces to realistic portraits, all breathing life into the urban landscape. And new murals are added each year, so there’s always something new. Don’t forget to have your camera ready to capture the artwork you’ll encounter on this colourful journey. It’s 40 mins from Oranjestad and can be combined with Baby Beach if you also want to hit the beach.
The world is full of gorgeous beaches, but you don’t have to travel out of the United States to visit some of them!
