This was such a fun experience we would definitely do it again! Elisabeth was amazing and such a fun person. They were so accommodating even though I booked the wrong day, they still made it happen and me and the 13 other ladies had a great time. Thanks for all of your help and look forward to doing another trip with AZ party bike!

We had the most fun with Kevin on the party bike! He was a great host and our friends and family all had a great time!

We did the party bike if Flagstaff as one of the events for a bachelorette trip and it was the BEST time. Sam was our captain and he was amazing! From the beginning he was great and we had fun from start to finish! We all loved him and couldn't have asked for a better captain!! I had my bachelorette party in Flagstaff and we booked the bike bar with Sam. It was SO much fun! He was calling bars to find out about any special events and customized the stops to fit what we wanted. He extended the time and was so fun!

It was time for a Girls Night Away from Anthem, AZ. We had a wonderful time! Our Captain was great!

Arizona Party Bike Re-Opens in Downtown Phoenix 

Arizona’s No. 1 pedal pub crawl experience is finally back in Phoenix. World-famous for its pub crawls, birthdays, company events and, of course, bachelorette parties in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona Party Bike is now open in downtown Phoenix for the first time since 2020.

“We lost our downtown Phoenix lease just as we were about to re-open in 2021, and we simply couldn’t find a space for the bikes since,” says Arizona Party Bike owner Robert Mayer. “But we really wanted to bring the party bike experience back to downtown Phoenix, so we doubled down on our search and finally found a spot to re-open just off of Roosevelt!”

Arizona Party Bike’s first groups in downtown Phoenix went out on Saturday, Nov. 4, giving locals and visitors the opportunity to “woo” at onlookers while enjoying their favorite adult beverages on a giant party bike. 

Having been named the No.4 top experience in the U.S. by Tripadvisor in 2023, as well as appearing on the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” Arizona Party Bike has become world-famous over the last few years. The 14-person, pedal-powered vehicle is fitted with a rocking sound system and LED lights, as well as an electric drive system to help keep the pedaling easy as groups make their way around Phoenix streets to the tune of their favorite songs while enjoying drinks. Plus, Arizona Party Bike is equipped with safety features including seat belts, road lights and hydraulic brakes so that the fun never has to stop.

Guests can book a private party or join in with other small groups on regularly scheduled pub crawls, which run every day of the week and are complete with exclusive Arizona drink specials. Participants are also allowed to BYOB and enjoy their favorite beer, wine, seltzers and canned cocktails for consumption while on board the Arizona Party Bike—similar to a party bus or limousine.

The return of the Arizona Party Bike to Phoenix offers a fun and safe way to enjoy the downtown and Roosevelt Row experience, while also highlighting local business along the various routes. Tours are now being offered to locals and visitors for fun-packed days or memorable nights out with friends, as well as for corporate and conference groups that need a fun group activity or for anyone looking for a way to celebrate a special occasion.

The machine itself is handcrafted and is by definition, a giant bike. The bike navigates the road by means of human-powered pedaling; 6 people pedal on each side of the bike bar with space for 2 additional guests in the back seat. As you and a group of people “get your gears going” you are able to drink and socialize while touring the streets of Old Town Scottsdale. Afraid your group of champion cyclists might pedal too fast? Not to worry, each Tour de Tavern party bike has a top speed of 5-8 MPH and is equipped with a responsible driver who is in charge of steering and braking. Frequently asked questions, who can ride.

Passengers must be a minimum of 18 years of age for all tours. Pedaling passengers ideally should be at least 5′ tall to comfortably reach the pedals. Shorter passengers are still welcome to ride but are encouraged to take a non-pedal seat or the back bench seat.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES THE BIKE HOLD?

Our party bike tours in Phoenix require a minimum of 6 guests (to a maximum of 15).

All of our bikes have a bench at the bike that seats 2-3 guests that are non-pedaling. Please keep in mind we do require the minimum number of guests noted above to be pedaling. Any additional guests are able to use a non-pedaling seat.

CAN YOU DRINK ONBOARD?

You may bring alcoholic beverages on board the bike! All drinks are BYOB — Bring Your Own Beer. We will bring a cooler and ice! Please abide by the following rules and laws listed below:

• Beer and wine only. (Ciders and seltzers included)
• Only cans (absolutely no glass)
• All alcoholic beverages must stay on the vehicle, you can only drink on the vehicle.

ARE DRINKS INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE?

All food/drinks are not included in the tour price, and will be up to your group to purchase at each stop day of the tour.

We do provide complimentary bottles of water onboard the bike. 

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Full refund for cancellations more than 14 days prior, tours rescheduled for cancellations 8-14 days prior, no refunds or tour rescheduling for cancellations within 7 days of the tour. Tours run rain or shine; in the event of severe weather tours as determined by Urban Pedal Tours may be delayed or cancelled. If tour is cancelled by Urban Pedal Tours a full refund or   rain check will be provided with as much notice as possible.

We reserve the right to cancel any tours with less than the minimum number of riders required to pedal the bike. 

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM (AND MAXIMUM) GROUP SIZE FOR A TOUR?

Phoenix party bike tours require a minimum of 8 guests (to a maximum of 15).

Public tours (individual seat bookings) require a minimum of 8 seats to be booked to go ahead.

We reserve the right to  cancel or reschedule the tour if the minimum number of riders is not met.

WHAT IF IT'S RAINING?

We typically ride rain or shine! If there is a severe weather warning, the guide will determine if it’s safe to continue.

If the guide cancels your tour for any other reason, you will be given the option to re-book or request a full refund.

IS THERE MUSIC ON BOARD?

Absolutely!! Pick from our playlists, or connect to our onboard Bluetooth stereo system, and lead the pack with your favorite beats!

HOW SAFE IS THE RIDE?

Your safety is our primary concern. Our bikes are equipped with high back seats, handle bars, and hydraulic brakes to keep you comfortable and safe. We typically travel at an easy 10 km/h pace. You do not HAVE to wear a helmet, but if you would like to wear one, feel free to bring one along! Urban Pedal Tours will not provide any helmets.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Dress for the weather! If you bring a jacket or sweater, you can store it in our cubby on the bike if you get too hot.

We definitely recommend wearing closed toed shoes. DO NOT wear flip flops, open-toed sandals, or high heels.

Pants or shorts are a better bet than a dress or skirt.

Man suffers 'freak accident' while on Scottsdale party bike

An Old Town Scottsdale bouncer jumped in to help after he said a man's foot was barely intact after a "freak accident" on a party bike.

The mishap happened on a multi-person party bike near Camelback and Scottsdale roads on April 20.

Old Town is known for its party scene, and these party bikes take large groups around, so people can peddle their way to the bars.

For one man, his experience ended in what a bouncer described as "chaos."

"People were moving around the party bike pretty frantically," said Sumo Ramirez.

Man has 'freak accident' while on Old Town party bike

That's what caught his attention as he was checking customer's IDs outside the Goodwood Tavern.

"The young man's leg had gotten stuck in the wheel well and had been injured quite decently," he said.

As a veteran and former firefighter, his natural instincts took over.

"I started moving people out of the way, took off my belt, made a tourniquet on the upper thigh to help the person," Ramirez said.

Scottsdale Police says it appears the man's foot slipped off the pedal and got caught in the tires on the party bike. 

Ramirez says party bikes are all over Old Town, but he has never seen anything like this.

"Honestly, I believe it was just something along the lines of a freak accident. Just an unfortunate event for the poor young man," he said.

FOX 10 has reached out to two different party bike companies in Old Town and have not heard back from either. With many of these types of things, you do sign a waiver.
