Zoobic Safari Guide 2024: Our Experience, Tickets & Tips
We visited Zoobic Safari in Subic to get up close and personal with wildlife creatures we don’t normally see in zoos and other animal parks like Manila Ocean Park and Cebu Ocean Park . Some Zoobic Safari animals we saw and had close encounters with were bearcats, donkeys, ostriches, pythons, crocodiles, zebras, lions, and of course, tigers!
BUY ZOOBIC SAFARI TICKETS
In terms of land area, the 25-hectare Zoobic Safari is only second to the 170-hectare Cebu Safari and Adventure Park . However, Zoobic Safari is the first and only tiger safari in the Philippines, which is still bucket list-worthy in our books. In fact, our experience here gave us an incredible wildlife adventure we won’t soon forget.
Read on to know more about this huge safari park – from tickets to attractions and friendly reminders.

Zoobic Safari address and how to get there
Zoobic Safari is located in Group I Ilanin Forest, Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Olongapo, Philippines . It is approximately three hours away from Manila. Refer to this Google map to guide you.
To reach the Zoobic Safari location, you can either drive a car or take a bus .
Drive to North Luzon Expressway, then exit in San Fernando, Pampanga. Follow the signs going to Olongapo City. Then, take the Tipo-Subic expressway going to Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
Tip: If you don’t have your own car, it would be more convenient to rent a car with a professional driver , especially when you have kids. Just like what we did, the driver picked us up from our house, waited for us to finish the whole safari tour in Zoobic, and brought us back home safely.
RENT A CAR HERE
From Metro Manila, find the nearest bus station with buses going to Olongapo terminal. The most reliable bus line is Victory Liner . It has terminals in Pasay, Caloocan, Sampaloc and Cubao and has an hourly service from 4am to 6pm. Once you reach Olongapo terminal, take a jeepney to Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) main gate. Then, take a taxi inside SMBA going to Zoobic Safari. The regular taxi fare to Zoobic is ₱400 (one way).
Zoobic Safari attractions and our fun experience
Our entire Zoobic Safari tour lasted for about 2.5 hours and we already experienced the following main attractions:
Aetas’ Trail
The first leg of our tour was the Aetas’ Trail , where we were welcomed by a spectacular cultural performance of the Aetas, an indigenous group in Luzon and one of the earliest inhabitants of the Philippines.
Zoobic Park
Our next stop was Zoobic Park , where we saw different species of free-roaming animals including the binturong (bearcats), monkeys, donkeys, deer, ostriches, guinea pigs, and more!
Tiger Safari
Of course, we didn’t leave the park without experiencing the Tiger Safari . We boarded an enclosed tram where the caretaker fed the tigers with raw chicken.
There is an additional fee of ₱200 if you want to see the feeding action first-hand. We were scared at first as the tiger devoured the meat but it was a sight to behold.
Tiger and Lion Close Encounter
If you’re claustrophobic and don’t like riding the enclosed tram, you can still observe the lions and tigers at a close distance in their resting spaces.
Huwag mag-loco-loco dito! (Don’t be a fool here!) There are over a hundred crocs awaiting your every move! You can cross a steel-grated walkway with these ferocious creatures below you. You can also buy a quarter chicken for ₱50 to be placed on a fishing pole to feed them. We were too scared to commit a wrong move so we didn’t dare to do any of this.
Serpentarium
Shhhhhh.. These cold-blooded creatures can’t be bothered. Here, you’ll observe different kinds of snakes like pythons and boa constrictors, and other reptiles such as monitor lizards, iguanas, and turtles.
Animal Show
Since we visited on a weekend, we were able to watch the live animal show where animals showcase their talents and skills. Take note of the animal show schedule which is only on weekends at 10.30am and 1.30pm.
These are just some of the many attractions that await you in here. You may visit their official website to see the complete list of attractions and amenities.
Friendly reminders
- As you’ll mostly be exploring the outdoors, it’s best to wear comfortable clothes and a good pair of walking shoes.
- While you can buy food and drinks inside the park, you may want to bring your own drinking water safely contained in a water container or tumbler.
- Follow the health and safety protocols. There will be an orientation before you start your tour so listen carefully to the staff.
- Observe proper decorum and cleanliness at all times. Avoid making loud noises that could disturb the animals and their habitats.
- Do not attempt to feed the animals unless you sign up for feeding activities.
- Photos and videos are allowed so long as you do not disturb the animals and other visitors.

Information about Zoobic Safari
Zoobic safari.
Zoobic Safari is situated in the middle of the forest of Subic Bay Freeport Zone and is the only tiger safari in the Philippines. Here, guests are given a rare chance to meet tigers up close while promoting awareness and concern for their species. It is the closest thing to an actual jungle safari in the country, and it will take approximately three hours to cover all its attractions.
Inside Zoobic Safari is the Tiger Safari, where guests can ride a safari jeep that will enter a closed fence structure and see live tigers roaming around the area. In there, these big cats are free to get close to the jeep, sniff at it, or even tackle it, with the passengers safe inside.
Other attractions include a hanging bridge, a forest trail, a petting zoo, an animal observation area, and an animal sanctuary where wild boars, potbelly pigs, guinea fowls, and wild ostriches run free. Those who seek an adrenaline-pumping attraction must visit the Croco Loco, a steel-grated walkway with a pit of 200 crocodiles directly below it, and the Serpentarium, where snakes, lizards, iguanas, and other reptiles are available for viewing.
Guests can also go on a Night Safari, where they are toured around the exotic sanctuary in the dark, making the safari ride more thrilling.
Tickets and entry
Zoobic Safari is open daily from 8 AM to 4 PM, with an entrance fee of PHP 695 per adult and kids taller than four feet. Children three to four feet tall can go in for PHP 595, while kids below three feet can enter for free.
Best time to visit
Most of the attractions on the property are outdoors, so it would be best to visit Zoobic Safari during the dry months of November to May. If you want to watch shows here, go on a weekend when they have a parade and a show at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM.

Fun Activities at Zoobic Safari
Get ready to unleash your inner explorer with these 5 must-do experiences:
Forget just looking – here, you get to reach out and pet a whole bunch of amazing creatures! From majestic deer to mischievous monkeys, playful ostriches to cuddly piggies, there's something for everyone (and every Instagram feed).
Ever dreamed of being inches away from a real-life tiger? Buckle up, because Zoobic's safari jeep takes you right into their territory! Witness their power firsthand as these magnificent beasts stalk, pounce, and even snatch a whole chicken right off your jeep (don't worry, they're safely fenced in!). It's a thrilling experience you won't forget.
Feeling brave? Get up close and personal with over 200 crocodiles! Dangle a yummy chicken leg over their snapping jaws (safely, of course!) and watch them lunge for their lunch. Then, head down to the Crocodile Cafe for a snack with a view – you can watch these prehistoric predators from a glass observation area, no danger involved!
Calling all reptile fans! Get face-to-face with fascinating cold-blooded creatures from all over the world. Witness the slithering grace of snakes, from the common king snake to the gigantic pythons that could swallow you whole (don't worry, they won't!). Iguanas, lizards, and even turtles are also waiting to amaze you.
Witness the incredible talents of Zoobic's animal residents every weekend! See them parade their skills, perform tricks, and maybe even sing a song or two (okay, maybe not sing, but you get the idea). It's a fun and educational way to see animals in a whole new light.
Tips when Visiting Zoobic Safari
Here are 5 tips to ensure your adventure is thrilling, respectful, and safe:
These amazing creatures aren't circus acts. Remember, they're wild at heart. Keep your distance, avoid loud noises, and never try to touch animals outside designated areas. Even petting a seemingly friendly deer can stress them out. Treat them with respect, and they'll treat you to an unforgettable show!
Your friendly Zoobic guide is your jungle guru! They'll share fascinating facts, safety tips, and insider info to make your experience even richer. So, pay attention, ask questions, and don't wander off on your own. Remember, the jungle can be confusing, and getting lost is no fun!
Sure, those begging eyes might melt your heart, but resist the urge to share your snacks. Animals have specific diets, and human food can be harmful. Plus, it disrupts their natural behaviour and can even make them aggressive. Stick to designated feeding areas with approved food to keep everyone happy and healthy.
Think comfy clothes and sturdy shoes – you'll be doing some walking and exploring! Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are also essential for battling the Philippine sun. And don't forget to bring water! Staying hydrated is key to enjoying your jungle adventure.
While snapping pics is a must, remember to focus on the bigger picture. Instead of chasing animals for that perfect selfie, enjoy observing their natural behaviour. Put down your phone sometimes and simply soak in the wonder of being surrounded by these amazing creatures. After all, the best memories are often the ones we experience, not just capture.

How to go to Subic Olongapo, Zoobic Safari, and Ocean Adventure from Manila
You might be asking this same question if your going to subic , Olongapo for the first time. My family went to Subic, Olongapo to visit Zoobic Safari and Ocean Adventure.
We were like you during that time, we were afraid because we never know the culture of the people there. We also think that we might get lost since we’re not familiar with the place.
I could describe the people in Subic as helpful, and accommodating and I think the place was safe to stay. Before anything else, you may check this link for Discounted tickets to Zoobic Safari or Tour Packages. These were copies given to me by one of their Zoobic Safari sales agent in Makati.
Actually going to Subic, Olongapo is not that difficult, much better if you have your own transportation, but if you prefer to ride a bus from Manila, you can head to Victory Liner Terminal near your location. If you are Near Pasay then it would be better to go to Victory Liner Terminal in EDSA. In Caloocan, there is also victory liner near the grand central mall.
In our case since we are near Tayuman, we take the Espana or Sampaloc terminal. From Sampaloc, the whole trip was approximately 4 hours including traffic.
Fare and Trip Schedule
From Caloocan to Olongapo City
- 4:30AM to 9:00PM (every 30 minutes) P196.00- aircon (one-way only)
From Pasay to Olongapo
- 4:00AM to 7:00PM (every hour) P211.00- aircon (one-way only)
From Sampaloc to Olongapo
- 5:00AM to 7:00PM (every hour) P201.00- aircon (one-way only)
All Victory liner bus do stopover at Sta. Cruz Lubao Pampanga the bus would arrive approximately 3 hours after leaving the terminal. While having the stop over you have 15 minutes to do anything, stores are available, comfort rooms, fast foods. By the way the cheeseburger there does not taste good.
After an hour you’ll arrive at Victory Liner Terminal in Olongapo. From the terminal, available transportations are tricycle, Taxi, and passenger jeep. Public transportation there is color-coded so you won’t get lost just ask the driver about the address of the place you’re looking for. For the taxi, you might wonder but it was not the typical taxi look of manila. You can determine legal taxi from colorum if it has body number similar to the picture below. Also, don’t be shocked because taxi fares were expensive in Olongapo.
So there you go, be safe during your travel. If you had any plan going to Zoobic Safari or Ocean Adventure you have to ride taxi because there is no public transportation that can pass through SMBA area.

Moscow Bus Network
Moscow's crazy traffic and its excellent metro network mean that the city's buses and trolleybuses aren't the number one option for tourists .
Moscow has hundreds of bus and trolleybus routes , many of which connect the city centre with its otherwise-isolated suburban neighbourhoods. Regular traffic jams mean that the bus network has not always been the most recommendable option , especially as the metro is so efficient.
Having said that, new bus lanes have opened up recently making it a comfortable alternative for certain routes. The bus can be a good, economical option at night , when 13 routes replace the metro after it shuts down (all starting from Kitay-Gorod metro and taking the main roads out to the edge off the city).
More modern buses have screens indicating the stops along the route, but in older ones you may well struggle knowing where to get off if relying on the Russian-language loudspeaker announcements .
If you do decide to catch the bus, tickets can be purchased from kiosks and metro stops, and the majority of lines operate between 6 am and 1 am.
