Sinorama bus tours

The bus was not so comfortable.. especially that we were going to new york.. means more than 5 hours.. the bus driver jean francois was very friendly.. always talking to the passengers with a smile.. but our guide was very nervous all the time.. with not a very good french and always in a hurry to go back to the hotel... he was not disponible to give us any help if we needed extra informations or in any extra activity we wanted to do.. in another hand they are not expensive and u have good value for ur money!! So if u want to take a tour with them, hope u will have a good guide!! By the way u have free wifi in the bus

We recently returned from the Beauty of China tour and highly recommend this fast-paced visit, which included highlights in Beijing, Xi'an, Suzhou and Shanghai - the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Terra Cotta Soldiers, Great Wall, Liu Gardens, the Bund and Shanghai Museum. Needless to say 10 days is not long enough to spend long periods at any of these locations but we were amazed at the country, its culture and heritage. One has to be fit to walk, climb stairs and keep up the pace - worth every moment. Our guide, Johnny, was excellent - helpful, accommodating and organized. Our local guides were great as well and gave us insights into personal lives today in China, as well as the historical information. The hotels were amazing and our favourite meal of the day was the Euro/Asian breakfasts. Always lots to eat, sample and enjoy. We could always use more time shopping but appreciated the exposure to the shops at the historic sites. Incredible value - aside from the roundtrip flight, we flew from Xi'an to Shanghai, bullet train from Beijing to Xi'an and our own buses in between. The buses came when we were too exhausted to walk and their driving skills on those roads are to be commended. We chose to additionally tip our guides and drivers - they worked very hard on our behalf. Our group was a mix of people, from age 13 to senior retirees from locations across Canada. Good conversation and camaraderie. Lunches and dinners, those which were included, were served family style. While not as spicy as we are used to, the effort to appease many palates can be appreciated. I found that we over-packed clothing, and as there were no fashion gurus to comment, jeans and layering tops work perfectly. Hairdryers, toothbrushes, combs and toiletries were provided by all the hotels. At this price, one cannot want for more but if you want to be pampered, perhaps there is another tour which better serves those needs. We wanted to see more and stay longer at all the locations - will have to stay longer in Asia next time!!! Wifi was available at all hotels and my phone plan from home worked. Appreciated our guides selecting "happy" rooms with western-style plumbing - and have to say the washrooms were clean and well maintained. Most impressed and pleased. What a great deal!

My husband and I went on a Sinorama tour in China and we couldn't believe how great the tour was for such a low price. For just over $5000 for the two of us everything was covered - international flight, all internal transportation including an internal flight, a private bus, and the bullet train, all our meals, accommodation in 4 and 5 star hotels, a cruise on the Yangtze, all English speaking guides and all tips. We are particularly lucky because there were only 12 people in our group. Highlight for us were climbing the Yellow Mountains, going to Chengdu and seeing the pandas in the beautiful bamboo forest and climbing the Great Wall. It was a great way to see China.!

Went on the 3 day - 2 night bus tour with Sinorama for NYC - Freedom Tour. Booked directly from the Sinorama site - for 3 persons $ 159 each. In general it was good value. It got you there. - thru customs , duty free, outlet shopping. IT WAS BUSY ! But we made it so... because it was the Freedom tour we did our own thing and pre booked Wicked tickets. Also waited in the TKTS and did School of Rock on Saturday night. I wish we could have known the hotel a bit sooner - than ON THE BUS. I had asked the day previous and still nothing. It was in NJersey but the transport was easy from the Port Authority at Times Square. Bad breakfast at the Quality inn though- Hot BUT only 4 items _ DINNER BUNS ? - uck, thin packaged ham, scramabled eggs and hashbrowns. Not a vegtable, dairly or piece of fruit to be had. Not great. I did not go on Day two and I could not get daughter to eat it at all. It is not their fault really - it is the hotel's. Thomas ran a very tight ship- no delays, the driver was good - roads were a bit messy but OK. It is always a risk in the winter. The timing on the Outlet mall was not great as we arrived about 45 mins BEFORE any stores or coffee shops opened. Had not expected to be so busy at the outlets but there was some good value there - and the bus had the passport discounts. No Wifi on bus but it did have outlets for charging. 3 languages English, French and Mandarin. Would I go again ? Hmm ... early mornings... packed... not enough time to enjoy New York. Glad we did not do the tours....

I booked a flight-included trip with Sinorama through a TravelZoo deal and PAID IN FULL when I booked. However, I had to cancel the trip due to a serious back injury. When Sinorama was informed about the cancellation, the first thing they told me was the tour package was nonrefundable. With this in mind, I spent multiple days communicating with United Airlines (the airline that Sinorama booked with) to seek help. At United Airlines’ request - I got the cancellation policy in writing from Sinorama, visited my doctor to have him filled out the Physician Statement & written a letter to United Airline on my behalf, and I had to fill out numerous forms all while in severe back pain to apply for the refund. When the refund was granted, United Airline had to refund the airfare with the original payment method, which was through the agency. So, the refund checks were sent to Sinorama with mine and my friend’s ticket numbers on it. United Airline’s representative said the checks were to be refunded to the ticket holders, so they put our ticket number on the checks. It wasn’t meant to be Sinorama’s to keep. Because of United Airline’s refund process, Sinorama now claims the checks belong to them, since our tour is nonrefundable, even though they already collected the full amount of flight-included tour fees from me and my friend last year. I am not disputing Sinorama‘s no refund cancellation policy. The maximum Sinorama can keep according to the contract and cancellation policy is the cost of the tour, which we paid in full when we booked. Sinorama had sent me multiple documents regarding their no refund policy. In nowhere, it stated that Sinorama has the right to keep the airline or hotel’s refunds resulted from customers’ efforts on top of the tour fees they had collected. One receptionist even argued that we owed them the tour guide’s tip (for a cancelled trip?) No words can describe the feeling to deal with such unethical & unprofessional company, horrible experience.

Hello, Sorry for the unpleasant experience and I think there is some miscommunication here. Though the package is non-refundable according to our terms and conditions in this case, we have no intention to keep the air ticket refund from United Airlines. As you mentioned, the check shall go through us first and then return to you. We will need to receive the check first and start to process the air ticket refund for you. However, the check will be sent to us by mail and thus take some time. Sinorma Team

From the moment you arrive in Beijing , through 6 destinations (5 star hotels) until the last moment you get on the 13 hour plane ride back home, Leon is taking care of everyone. I believe our Sinorama guide Leon made the difference. We had a great group, no one really held anyone back, as a mater of fact there were a couple of emergencies that Leon had to deal with and he and the hotel staff did it with grace and professionalism. I guess the only complaint we have is with the food. they can’t help it, they deep fry and stir fry (oil) everything and everything is breaded in sauces. Frankly for the price we paid I was not expecting too much. We brought energy bars and ate a full box of them. Be careful of what you eat. My husband decided to try a wonton outside the hotel and official restaurants we were brought to, he paid the price and was sick 2 days. About theses restaurants, they seemed a bit clandestine at times, no one seems to get sick from the restaurants we are brought to however so you make due. A few times throughout the trip we don’t have the supper included. About 10 days into the trip we decided to eat at the hotel, desperately looking for canadien food. At the Yuma Palace hôtel in Zhengzhou they had a Americans menu, we ordered spaghetti and club sandwiches and it was amazing. About 40$ each they also have an buffet but it’s 80$ a pop. We went during the Chinese New Year Not the greatest idea Everyone is on vacation for 8 days, so stores are closed. There’s allot of traffic everywhere as 1.3 billion people are driving to their families and spending time together so there’s a lot of waiting. The Chinese are also spending time in tourists attractions such as the Famous Terra-cotta warriors pits 35 km east of Xi’an where they had a record 80000 visitors the day we we’re visiting. The crowd was too frightening for my friend and I but my husband and his buddy road the crowd. I kid you not, they were literally being carried by the crowd. We landed in Beijing, flew to Xi’an, Took the TGV to Luoyang, the bus to Zhengzhou, then the plane to Shanghai and back to Beijing on the last day transferring to Montreal. What an amazing trip this was. We can now say we walked on the Great Wall of China as well. It was worth every penny We have no regrets
