TOOL Announces Spring 2024 European Tour

TOOL will make its highly anticipated return to Europe in the spring with a month of dates slated for the 2024 trek, including stops at London's O2 Arena, Stockholm's Tele2 Arena and Paris's Accor Arena, as well as appearances at Graspop Metal Meeting , Tons Of Rock and Copenhell .

News of TOOL 's European tour follows a particularly busy time for the Los Angeles-based band, with the foursome currently in the midst of a North American tour that extends into February. Over the last few months, TOOL has headlined Aftershock , Welcome To Rockville , Louder Than Life and the Sonic Temple Arts & Music festivals, as well as a once-in-a-lifetime performance at Power Trip , which Metal Hammer described as "a mind-melting, triumphant showcase of just how singular their art is, a transcendental experience that surpasses genre boundaries."

Tickets for all headlining dates are on-sale this Friday, November 17 at 10 a.m. local time. In advance of the forthcoming on-sale, TOOL Army has opened additional memberships, with pre-sale tickets available exclusively to members for a 24-hour window beginning today at 10 a.m. local time. TOOL Army members will continue to have access to pre-sale tickets until the public on-sale begins on Friday. A limited number of VIP packages will also be initially available to TOOL Army members, with remaining options available to the general public as the on-sale begins on November 17. During a recent appearance on "The Vinyl Guide" podcast, TOOL bassist Justin Chancellor was asked if he and his bandmates have begun writing material for the follow-up to their 2019 album "Fear Inoculum" . He responded: "We've got many ideas cooking. We haven't recorded anything yet. But we're quite busy until — I guess until after the spring of next year touring. So once that's done, we're gonna get back in the studio and knuckle down and put some of it together. We've already had a few pretty decent sessions of writing. So we've got the ingredients in place. We've just gotta really bang it out and spend that time when we're not touring."

Asked if there are any ideas that were recorded during songwriting sessions for previous albums that haven't been released yet, Justin said: "Yeah, tons from the last album. We have tons of ideas, but not recorded to the standard we'd put on an album. Just kind of, I'd say, lots of demoed stuff. And then just tons of ideas just kind of stored away."

Quite possibly the era's most highly anticipated album, TOOL 's latest LP, "Fear Inoculum" , arrived in August of 2019. Debuting at No. 1 on Billboard 's Top 200, the album earned heaps of critical praise with NPR saying, " 'Fear Inoculum' was worth the 13-year wait," Revolver proclaiming the album "a masterpiece to be dissected for years to come" and Consequence saying the release finds " TOOL in peak performance."

Last year, TOOL released "Opiate2" , a re-imagined and extended version of the 1992 EP's title track and an accompanying short film, marking the band's first new video in 15 years. The band also unveiled the first incarnation of "Fear Inoculum" vinyl, dubbed the Ultra Deluxe edition, the limited offering included five 180-gram vinyl discs emblazoned with a unique etching and accompanied by an elaborate pictorial booklet including never-before-seen artwork.

TOOL formed in 1990, releasing five studio albums: "Undertow" (1993), "Ænima" (1996), "Lateralus" (2001), "10,000 Days" (2006) and "Fear Inoculum" (2019); two EPs: "72826" (1991) and "Opiate" (1992),and the limited-edition boxset "Salival" (2000). The band has won four Grammy Awards : "Best Metal Performance" (1998, "Ænima" ),"Best Metal Performance" (2002, "Schism" ),"Best Recording Package" (2007, "10,000 Days" ) and "Best Metal Performance" (2020, "7empest" ).

For those who are interested in watching the group perform live, tickets will be available to the general public starting this November 17, 2023, Friday, at 10 a.m. local time.

If you want to get tickets ahead of everyone, the band also has a pre-sale for the TOOL Army. Passes for those members will have a 24-hour window beginning today at 10 a.m. local time.

TOOL Army members will get a chance to buy tickets in advance until the general on-sale begins selling passes.

Tool Announce Massive 2022 U.S. + European Tour

They're back! Tool will be hitting the road in 2022 with the first five months of the year now spoken for as the band just revealed dates for both a massive U.S. tour leg as well as a European tour as well.

Tool were set to play Eugene, Oregon last year just as the pandemic hit, so they're picking up right where they left off with the show at the Matthew Knight Arena serving as the tour kickoff on Jan. 10.

“It is with great pleasure I get to announce our return to the road,” said Danny Carey. “These past 18 months have been trying to say the least but from great trials come great lessons and great rewards. We are genuinely looking forward to sharing them with you.”

The tour will have Blonde Redhead on board as the opening act from Jan. 10 through Feb. 10, while The Acid Helps take over the opening slot from Feb. 19 to March 20. You can see all cities, venues and dates listed below.

Tickets for all shows will go on sale this Friday (Oct. 1) at 10AM local time, while the U.K. and Irish dates go on sale at 9AM local time. Tool Army members can purchase pre-sale tickets for European dates on Sept. 28 at 10AM local time (24 hour pre-sale window), while U.S. pre-sale tickets are available on Sept. 29 at 10AM local time (36 hour pre-sale window). Tool are teasing European and UK tour dates for 2024

Tool confirm plans to return to Europe and the UK, while a new interview suggests the band will also record in 2024

Prog metal giants Tool are teasing a return to Europe and the UK in 2024. While the band haven't announced any official dates as yet, a recent update on Facebook suggests the shows will be announced imminently, offering a sign-up to the Tool Army - an official fan club for the band - for the first details of the tour. 

"Tool Army cordially invites you to join us as we launch our upcoming European tour," the band write, leaving things pretty unambiguous, while a 30-second teaser comprised of psychedelic imagery and footage of the band performing confirms that Tool are planning to play both Europe and the UK in 2024.

Tool last toured the UK in 2022, in support of their most recent record, Fear Inoculum . Before that, other than an appearance at the 2019 Download Festival , the band hadn't toured the UK since 2007. 

The band recently headlined Power Trip festival in Indio, California and have dates booked in the US and Canada up to November 22, taking a break before resuming a US tour in the New Year with dates running from January 11 in Baltimore, Maryland to February 19 2024, where their US tour is currently due to end in Las Vegas on February 18 2024. 

Fear Inoculum was released in 2019, a 13-year gap from 2006's 10,000 Days. While the band haven't officially announced that they are working on a follow-up, in 2022 drummer Danny Carey suggested to Cleveland Scene that new music was definitely in the works, adding that "I'm sure it won't take us this long for the next one. So whether this European/UK tour fits into those Spring plans or will come after potential studio time remains to be seen, but either way it looks like Tool fans should be keeping their eyes out in 2024.

I have been waiting for over 20 yrs for Tool to come back to Dallas and Jam out. Well that's exactly what TOOL did on 22January2020 in Dallas, TX at American Airlines Arena. From start to end nothing but excellence from all 4 Gentleman. lanyards voice was Top form and the musician's jammed do hard I know they have to have blisters on their fingers. They are a very fine tuned head banging, fist in the air rocking Rock and Roll band of the Decade. If you happen to get a chance to see TOOL within the next 4 shows, only in the states, get there. Because you dont want to miss this show. SHOW OF THE YEAR!!!!! Guaranteed!!!

Absolutely incredible show! The sound was perfect, the visuals were spectacular and the band sounded super-tight (no surprise there). That is no easy feat considering the complexity of their music (especially their new material). They're one of the very few bands that actually sound the same or better live than the studio album. Maynard is finally more visible on this tour as they've added two platforms on each side of the drum riser where he crouched, danced, slithered and delivered his exceptional vocals. He even engaged the crowd a little bit, which was shocking. You could tell he and all his band mates are in a good head space and were really enjoying themselves. Truly memorable show from one of the greatest rock bands ever!

The band was unreal as always.

I attended a Montreal show a couple of years back and this was just as good along with the addition of some new album tracks.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the crowd here. The fans were far more connected to the music in Montreal. They understood the ebb and flow.

But, for some reason, we've got fools in Toronto who show up, get trashed and are somehow louder than the band. People here don't seem to get the idea that they're there with 12 - 13 thousand other people so it's really not about them. But, hey, that's the maturity level of kids old enough to drink legally, but not self-aware...

If ever they're back again, I'll see them, but never at Scotia again.

TOOL Shares Teaser for UK and European Tour Dates for 2024

TOOL will now start early in 2024. Also, the metal band Elder will be the opening act on this tour. Their winter tour 2024 begins on January 10, 2024. Before returning to the West, TOOL will stop at several places on the East and South Coasts. In Las Vegas, the show will end on February 18.

Prog metal legends TOOL announced a second set of U.S. shows starting in January 2024 and going through mid-February. This was just a few days after the start of their huge 2023 tour. Tool is getting back on the road. The band announced on Monday (Sept. 27) a massive tour spanning four months to kick off in January 2022.

“It is with great pleasure I get to announce our return to the road,” drummer Danny Carey said in a statement. “These past 18 months have been trying, to say the least, but from great trials come great lessons and great rewards. We are looking forward to sharing them with you.”

The U.S. leg of the tour will begin Jan. 10 at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Ore., where the band — like many others around the world — had to halt its 2020 tour in support of 2019’s long-awaited release Fear Inoculum due to the global coronavirus pandemic. After first delaying the tour in February 2020, Tool elected to scrap it completely a few months later in June.

After three months touring the States, Tool will take a few weeks off before picking up with the European leg, which is slated to begin April 23 in Copenhagen, and ending May 24 in Budapest.

Blonde Redhead will support the Jan. 10-Feb. 10 dates, while The Acid Helps will open the Feb. 19-March 20 shows.

Tool Army members can access presale tickets beginning Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. local time for European dates, and Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. local for U.S. shows. There will also be exclusive packages available during the pre-sale windows. Tickets for all dates go on sale to the general public Friday (Oct. 1) at 10 a.m. local time.

Tool Announce 2024 Tour Dates

The band will continue their current trek in January

In January, Tool are continuing their current tour with another leg of U.S. dates. The new trek kicks off on January 10 at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland and wraps up on February 18 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band will perform back-to-back concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York, Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, and Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 13 at 10am local time. In advance of the forthcoming on-sale,  Tool Army   has opened additional memberships, with pre-sale tickets available exclusively to members from October 11 at 10am local time through October 12 at 10pm. A limited number of  VIP packages  will also be initially available to Tool Army members, with remaining options, including premium tickets, soundcheck access, exclusive merchandise and more, available to the general public as the on-sale begins on October 13. Elder will serve as special guests for all shows next year. The Massachusetts quartet released their sixth studio album, Innate Passage , last November. The band released their previous effort Omens in April of 2020, and finally got to support it with a headlining tour in 2022. Next spring, Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan will be keeping busy by hitting the road with both A Perfect Circle and Puscifer on the same tour. The Sessanta Tour , which also includes Primus, will make its way across the U.S. starting on April 7 at the Coastal Credit Union Amphitheatre at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, North Carolina. The run marks A Perfect Circle’s first live performance since 2018.

With a new tour comes new Tool merchandise, which has become some of the most highly sought after concert collectibles on the planet – especially the posters. Members of the new and improved Tool Army will have access to special merchandise and perks, including exclusive pre-sale access to Tool headlining shows, early access to VIP packages, and more.

Additionally, there’s always the hope of hearing a rare gem or two from the band in concert. At their 2023 tour opener on October 4 in Loveland, Colorado, the crowd got to hear “Rosetta Stoned” in full, with vocals, for the first time since 2009. The rarity “Rosetta Stoned” comes from their 2006 effort,  10,000 Days . The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and featured the hit singles “Vicarious,” “The Pot,” and “Jambi.” The album has since gone on to be certified double-platinum by the RIAA, and garner the band a GRAMMY® Award for Best Recording Package.

This past weekend, Tool headlined two major festivals in California –  Aftershock  in Sacramento, and  Power Trip  in Indio alongside Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, AC/DC, and Guns N’ Roses. Their  headlining tour  rolls on through November, wrapping up with two shows at Scotiabank Arena on November 20 and November 21 in Toronto, Ontario. All Canadian dates are the band’s first since 2019. 

The band’s latest studio effort  Fear Inoculum  arrived in 2019 following years of anticipation. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, shattering sales and radio records while also earning widespread critical praise. The band toured in support of the record that same year, and returned to the road in 2022 after previously cancelling their remaining tour dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tool subsequently released a massive ultra-deluxe 5-LP vinyl box set of the album, and a  black vinyl  edition as well.

Last March, Tool released  “Opiate2”  – a re-imagined version of the title track from their first EP in celebration of its 30th anniversary. Visual artist Dominic Hailstone ( Alien: Covenant ,  The Eel ) worked with Tool guitarist Adam Jones on a 10-plus minute film for the song, which was the band’s first new video in 15 years. Dominic and Adam also collaborated on the filmed pieces featured on the band’s Fear Inoculum Tour.

Tool formed in 1990 and have released four multi-platinum studio albums: Undertow  (1993),  Ænima  (1996),  Lateralus  (2001) and  10,000 Days  (2006); two EPs:  72826  (1991) and  Opiate  (1992) and the limited-edition boxset  Salival  (2000). The band has won four GRAMMY® Awards: Best Metal Performance (1998, “Ænima”), Best Metal Performance (2002, “Schism”), Best Recording Package (2007,  10,000 Days ) and Best Metal Performance (2020, “7empest”).

ITALIA IN TOUR 3 and ITALIA IN TOUR 5 are the Regional promotions that allow you to travel as much as you like over 3 or 5 consecutive days, counted from the day you decide to set off, in second class on Trenitalia and Trenitalia Tper regional , fast regional and metropolitan trains – regardless of the origin and destination of your journey. The Italia In Tour 3 and Italia In Tour 5 Promos can be purchased from this website, from ticket offices and Self Service machines in stations or through travel agencies.

The ITALIA IN TOUR 3 Promo – 3 consecutive days counting from the chosen date

• Adults: 29 euro
• Children aged 4 to 11 years inclusive: 15 euro

Promo ITALIA IN TOUR 5 – 5 consecutive days from the chosen date

• Adults: 49 euro
• Children aged 4 to 11 years inclusive: 25 euro

To purchase the Promo:

• click on Advanced search at the bottom of the purchase form on the home page;
• select “subscription”
• select Offers and Regional Services;
• select your Promo of choice from the drop-down menu;
• choose when to activate the validity of your Promo;
• select the number of tickets you wish to purchase.  

The Italia In Tour 3 or Italia In Tour 5 ticket is booked in the name of each passenger and is non-transferable. Changes, refunds or class and service upgrades cannot be made. There is no need to select the origin or destination of your trip. Indeed, with Italia In Tour 3 and Italia In Tour 5 , you can travel for 3 or 5 consecutive days throughout Italy on all Trenitalia and Trenitalia Tper regional, fast regional and metropolitan trains, including the Leonardo Express. The Promo is not valid within the territory of the Cinque Terre National Park, delimited by the stations of Levanto and La Spezia Centrale and including the stations of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore, within the territory of Lombardy, the provinces of Bolzano and from Trento to Bassano del Grappa, nor is it valid aboard services operated by other transport companies, including Trenord.

The Promo is not valid for journeys in combination with other carriers.
