Travel logo design tips

The Wix logo maker in action showing how colors, design and text can be edited for a retreat brand called Eden Oasis.

Choose the right font

Your logo's font can significantly impact how your business is perceived. Select a typeface that mirrors the energy of your brand and draws in your desired clientele.

For travel logos, the font should evoke a sense of adventure and reliability. Consider using clean, readable typefaces for a modern look or script fonts to add a touch of elegance and personalization. The right font will make your travel agency logo design stand out and convey the professionalism and unique experience your company offers.

Use color strategically

Like typography, colors also communicate the personality of your travel business. It’s a good idea to research logo psychology when choosing your logo colors .

Blues and greens often reflect tranquility and nature, perfect for eco-tourism or adventure travel companies, while vibrant colors like orange or yellow can capture the excitement of travel and exploration. Remember to choose colors that differentiate you from competitors while appealing to your target audience.

Make a graphic statement

Icons, illustrations and graphics also help you stand out from the competition. Make sure to choose a graphic element that represents your type of travel business.

A well-chosen icon can communicate much about your brand at a glance. For instance, a globe or airplane may be fitting for an international travel agency logo, while local landmarks are great for niche tour operators. Make sure that the graphic you choose is scalable and looks good in both color and black and white.

Select the right layout

When selecting a layout for your travel logo, it's important to think about the persona you want to convey. Consider your niche within the industry and the message you want to send to your clients.

A minimalist layout can suggest sophistication, while a more dynamic composition might convey excitement and adventure. Adapt your logo's layout for different uses—opt for simplicity on digital platforms where space is limited but consider more detailed versions for print materials where you have room to expand on your brand story.

Travel Team Tour: TTO 16u

If 17 and under is travel team ball's most focused upon/important age grouping, 16u is not far behind. Those players eventually become future headliners, ballers who are recruited, feted and honored. A good 16u crew develops its players, preparing them for the money grouping that's 17u, the cohort of travel team ball most followed by organizations, colleges and kids.

Team Takeover 16u is just such an outfit - dedicating to teaching and success, both conspiring to separate 17u from the rest in Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) and other competitions.

"For our second time out, we did pretty well", admitted TTO 16u HC Antoine Gaither after his guys took down KLow Elite 16u in scrimmage work, late last month. "We're a defensive minded team, so I'm always going to start there...At points today we showed how good we can be defensively".

Where have we heard TTO and defensive focus cojoined? From members of TTO 17u's squad. All teams under the organization's banner embrace strapping up, evidencing continuity of thought and approach, throughout.

Gaither also discussed his TTO side = stalwarts in Nike's venerated Elite Youth Basketball League = scrimmaging Adidas' 3SSB's KLow Elite 16u, what he and TTO bring to the table, their focus writ large, plus pending growth,

Want to consume the interview in entirety? Care to witness the professionalism of Gaither, a professional who' has coached in college (Howard) and high school (HC/asst Laurel (MD), assistant at Riverdale Baptist and Flowers (both MD) in addition to years of TTO experience?

The following interview provides that! Premium Court has still more!

For the record, during EYBL (16) stops in Memphis and Atlanta, TTO 16u has gone an impressive 8-2.

Things are working for Gaither and crew!

What about other TTo 16u bench leaders?

Coach Morello Vest discussed sharing the game with his charges after the scrimmage.

Scroll further down to witness assistants Blair Mils and Darrick Wood, addressing the guys. it's clear, and part of the TTO way, that all coaches are empowered culturally.

Some Players

Having been in this college/high school/pro basketball space for nearly two decades, affords one an opportunity to meet talented, informed and intelligent people, folks that can help advise you. One such guy is Aaron Proia.

A former high school coach at DMV juggernauts DeMatha (MD) and Spaulding (MD), Proia, functioned as the former for five, years, directing/managing scouting service OWE Hoops three trips around the son.

Be sure to plug into his work. Twitter's @Owe_Hoops is the landing spot.

Proia shared brief takes on a number of TTO 16u guys, which follow.

Prince Alexander Moody - '26, 6'3" G, Bishop McNamara (MD) - A Georgetown recruiting target, Moody flashes future top level scorer who also makes plays for others. More is available here, and here . Athletic, three level scorer.

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced he will travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 21, 2024, to participate in the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Quadrennial North American Convention and promote the Canada-US relationship, including cross-border trade.

Invited by the SEIU to address the convention, the Prime Minister will highlight Team Canada’s work creating good middle-class jobs, building opportunities for our workers, strengthening health care, and delivering fairness for every generation. The Prime Minister will also highlight the deep-rooted partnership that Canada and the United States share. As the closest of friends and Allies, this relationship is deepened by the important contributions of organized labour, led by our cross-border unions.

While in Pennsylvania, the Prime Minister will meet with U.S. business leaders to identify opportunities for commercial, investment, and trade collaboration. As one of Canada’s biggest trading partners, Pennsylvania exports more merchandise to Canada than to its next four largest foreign export markets combined. In 2023, Pennsylvania exported US$14.3 billion to Canada, more than a quarter of Pennsylvania’s exports to the world. Canada has an extensive footprint in Pennsylvania, with US$13.6 billion in exports to the state. Canadian-owned companies also employ over 25,000 workers in the state.

With this productive trade relationship, we’re creating good-paying jobs our workers can count on, the right conditions for our businesses to grow, and more opportunities for Americans and Canadians alike. Canada is a reliable partner with critical minerals, a resilient supply chain, a competitive economy, and a world-class talent pool. With this Team Canada approach – we’re growing trade, attracting investment, and putting Canadian workers at the forefront of these opportunities.

“Canada and the United States are the closest of friends. Together, we’re creating good-paying jobs, building opportunities for our workers, taking climate action, and growing our economies. This trip will be another opportunity for Team Canada to deepen the partnership with our American friends – and make life better and fairer for Canadians and Americans alike.” The Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada

Canada-U.S. trade is built on long-standing binational supply chains, whereby approximately 79 per cent of Canadian goods exported to the U.S. are incorporated into U.S. supply chains.

Opportunity and experience brings K-State to Dublin in 2025

travel team logo

Kansas State head football coach Chris Klieman had his doubts when athletic director Gene Taylor presented him with an opportunity to begin the 2025 season abroad.

Of course, head coaches are creatures of habit, and beginning the season a week earlier in Dublin, Ireland is about the biggest shift from habit that a program can experience. Between the logistics of traveling, playing four straight weeks, and losing a conference game, Klieman was hesitant to approve such a shift.

Then, he called coaches who had participated in an overseas game and his tune changed. He wanted K-State to begin their season 4,000 miles away from Manhattan.

"I knew it would be a great opportunity, but I'm like, 'Okay, how does it affect a lot of things,'" said Klieman. "I reached out to some coaches that I know in the profession really well that had been in that game and the common theme was, 'if we could do it every year, we would do it every year.'"

By all accounts, that sealed the deal for K-State. Instead of playing Iowa State at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in 2025, both teams would pack their bags, stamp their passports, and head to Dublin, Ireland to take place in the Aer Lingus Classic on August 23, 2025.

While shifting the schedule is a significant move for any program, the opportunity to participate on a national stage and offer the athletes a once-in-a-lifetime experience was enough for Taylor and Klieman.

This season's Air Lingus Classic between Florida State and Georgia Tech will be one of the few games played during college football's week 0 and feature ESPN's College Gameday Crew. According to Aer Lingus Classic's John Anthony, the game is sold out.

According to Klieman, this opportunity to experience the game in a different environment "trumped" the concern of losing a home game against a rival. "It was just an opportunity for these guys to experience something that not a lot of college kids are going to be able to do, especially college football players," Klieman said.

Why K-State, though? And why now?

While multiple things go into choosing a team for a neutral site game, it appears that K-State's fanbase and their ability to travel, regardless of the location, was a major factor in Aer Lingus's decision to bring K-State over.

"It is a combination of football quality and fan quantity," Anthony said. "You're playing really high-quality football, we noticed that that's what we want. And your fans are so loyal and so rabid, and so strong that they follow everywhere you go. That's the formula we're looking for."

For fans, the experience appears to be equally as strong. Irish fans have begun to embrace American football, and the game has seen unprecedented success for international games in college football.

And while it might be a challenging trip for some, everyone agrees: the experience in Ireland is just different.

"Watching the game now, that stadium looks gorgeous. Operationally, it's going to be extremely well-run," Taylor said. "Just really excited about our fans and our kids to be able to experience because they really, really love Americans. And they'll love us."

Everything we know about X-Men ’97 season 2

The hit animated series revival will return

Share All sharing options for: Everything we know about X-Men ’97 season 2

Cyclops looks at the camera in a badass way, flanked by Jean Grey and Morph, in X-Men ’97.

X-Men ’97 closed out its first season in the glorious, traditional way of its forebear, X-Men: The Animated Series . That is to say, with a wild cliffhanger.

But unlike the last season of The Animated Series , which saw Professor Xavier leaving Earth to (presumably) die of wounds sustained in battle with anti-mutant forces, X-Men ’97 won’t take 27 years to follow up.

Is X-Men ’97 getting a second season?

Yes! X-Men ’97 ’s second season was greenlit in back in 2022, and production on it is already largely wrapped, with Marvel Animation spinning up production on a third season as well.

It’s a good time to be a fan of the X-Men in animation!

What will X-Men ’97 season 2 be about?

Summoner, Cable, Apocalypse, Rachel Grey, Monet St. Crox, and Beast face a horde of monsters, as the faces of the Four Horsemen loom in the clouds behind them, on the cover of X of Swords: Creation #1, Marvel Comics (2020).

In a word: Apocalypse. The final episode of season 1 left the X-Men separated across three different time periods following the destruction of Magneto’s floating base, Asteroid M. This doesn’t seem to have been intentional on their part — the time-stranded X-Men seem flummoxed by it, and as Bishop describes it, “something or someone yanked our friends through time.” Being a time traveler himself, Bishop would know.

So the second season of X-Men ’97 looks to be separating itself into three plot lines — at least to start with — set in Egypt’s ancient past, Earth’s far future, and the present day. And if we bring in some X-Men comics knowledge, it’s clear that all of these plots arc back to the villain Apocalypse.

How does En Sabah Nur become Apocalypse?

En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse) stands in a desert holding a staff. He’s got his characteristic grey skin, blue face markings, and red eyes.

Rogue, Nightcrawler, Beast, Professor X, and Magento seem to be stranded in the ancient past, just in time to interact with the origin story of Apocalypse. The big, blue-faced X-Men villain who believes mutantkind must be put through rigorous “survival of the fittest”-based challenges in order to claim their dominance over humans began his immortal existence as an ancient Egyptian man.

Who is Mother Askani?

Mother Askani with her followers in X-Men ’97. She has a long, grey braid, red facial markins, and is wearing a purple, hooded robe, from which her eyes look, piercingly.

Cyclops and Jean are stranded 2,000 years in the future, in the time of Clan Askani, a group of rebel fighters resisting the ( ahem ) post-apocalyptic rule of Apocalypse. In the comics, the Askani’s timeline is where baby Cable was sent, in the hopes that the future might hold the cure to his techno-organic virus, and Cable was received there as a kind of messianic child — his time-travel confirmed destiny being to put an end to Apocalypse’s reign.

Also , in the comics, Mother Askani (who is actually Scott and Jean’s grown-up daughter from yet another timeline, but don’t worry about it) used her own mutant gift of time manipulation to pull Cyclops and Jean into the future so that they could actually raise their own son there, before returning to the present day as if no time had passed. Cable’s presence here — as the teenage Nathan — indicates that X-Men ’97 will be taking its own swing at that story, called The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix .

What will Apocalypse do next?

Apocalypse’s hand, with one of Gambit’s burnt playing cards — the queen of hearts — nestled in it.

Season 1’s finale credits scene brings us back to Apocalypse in the present, and gives us a big hint at the future of all those really juicy, loved, or love-to-hate X-Men characters — like Gambit, Emma Frost, and Sebastian Shaw — who died on Genosha.

“So much pain, my children,” Apocalypse orates over one of Gambit’s playing cards. “So much death .” The odds of Apocalypse striking back at humanity for the fall of Genosha seem likely, and that he’ll resurrect some of Genosha’s dead as his Four Horsemen seems inevitable.

So as the X-Men search for their friends from the present, its seems they’ll have to contest with Apocalypse’s plans as well.

Oh and then there’s the matter of Wolverine’s bones .

When does X-Men ’97 season 2 come out?

Work on the season 2 finale had already begun as of July 2023 , and development on a third season was soon to begin as of this past March . Before beginning production on season 3, however, Marvel Animation will be searching for a new showrunner, after the studio “ parted ways ” with writer Beau DeMayo .

That being the case, and judging from how Disney usually spaces out its Disney Plus offerings, it seems likely we could see X-Men ’97 season 2 in 2025.

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery and Museum

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

travel team logo

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.

travel team logo

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

travel team logo

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

travel team logo

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

travel team logo

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

travel team logo

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

travel team logo

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
