Lance 1575 Review [Is It Worth The Money?]

Lance Camper makes excellent travel trailers. In this post, we’ll take a look at the Lance 1575, including our own Lance 1575 review overview, specifications, features, and a video walkthrough .

Lance 1575 Introduction

The Lance 1575 is a lightweight travel trailer that has an overall length of 20’5″ and a width of 84-3/8″. It has an interior height of 80″ and a GVWR of 3,700 lbs. Starting price for a new Lance Camper 1575 is about $54,000 as of the writing of this article.

It features a single slide in the dinette area giving the interior a roomier feel. The addition of large windows and skylights in the living area and bath area makes the Lance 1575 feel larger than other comparable campers.

One feature I always like to see on a travel trailer is Azdel, and 1575 has it. Learn more about Azdel . The cabinets are made of Euro-Ply which is stylish, strong, and light.

It does have a dry bath instead of a wet bath which is something I really like. Hats off to Lance for making this feature available on such a small camper.

Exterior Features

The Lance 1575 is loaded with well though-out exterior features. As I previously mentioned the exterior walls are laminated fiberglass bonded Azdel. The wheels are aluminum with Goodyear radial tires.

Construction of the Lance 1575 is a CNC laminated floor, ceiling, and walls with an insulated aluminum frame.

The underbelly of this camper is enclosed and includes heated holding tanks.

The awning is a powered awning with LED lighting and a wind sensor. The entry door is insulated with shade and a retractable screen.

The roof is a one-piece PVC roof.

Additional features include manual stabilizer jacks and an outdoor wash station, among many other standard features.

Interior Features

On the inside, the Lance 1575 is no slouch, as it offers outstanding features for a camper this size.

For Tammy and me a queen bed in any camper is a must. The Lance has a Deluxe Innerspring Queen bed with 2 reading lights.

The bathroom features a dual-pane skylight which adds nice natural lighting. The toilet is a porcelain toilet as opposed to some that are plastic on other brands. The medicine cabinet adds a touch of more storage which is always a nice feature on RV bathrooms which are typically short on storage space.

The galley comes with a 3-burner range and a 21-inch oven. A nice backsplash makes for easy cleaning. The fridge is a Norcold 5 cubic-feet fridge. It would have been nice if it was a little bigger.

A stainless steel microwave and solid-surface countertops finish out the galley area.

You get several 12V/USB charging ports, a Coleman A/C, and a furnace. Unfortunately, I could not find any specifications on the furnace brand or BTUs.

For entertainment, you have a JBL AM/FM stereo with a powered subwoofer. A 24-inch smart TV and pre-wiring for cable and satellite complete the package.

The Lance is very well equipped, however, if you are looking for a little more Lance offers a few optional interior colors and some upgrades. Here is a list of the options available on the Lance 1575.

Lance 1575 Review

No matter how well a camper is equipped at the end of the day what matters most is owner satisfaction. For this Lance 1575 review, I went to several review sites to see what the owners were saying.

My favorite site is PissedConsumers.com since I could not find any reviews on RV sites for this Lance model

As you can tell from reading the consumer review many are not impressed with the build quality of this model. To be fair the reviews are older than 4 years. However not being able to find current owner reviews is a bit concerning.

Having said that it’s a known fact in the RV industry that campers will have problems. It’s not a matter of if but when.

If you are considering buying a Lane 1575 I would do more in-depth research by getting on some of the better-known RV forums and asking questions about build quality, maintenance, dealer service., and the RV warranty as well.

Final Thoughts

Overall I think the Lance Camper 1575 is a nice-looking lightweight camper . Lance Camper overall does make good campers with excellent features. Like all RV manufacturers , you are going to have some issues, so you need to be prepared for that.

Choose wisely, stay within your budget and make sure you buy from a reputable dealer. I hope this Lance 1575 review was helpful.

The Lance 1575 is one of the shortest and narrowest trailers on the Lance travel trailer production series, so it doesn’t get any lighter and less bulky.

How Much is a Lance Travel Trailer? Full Cost Breakdown

Lance travel trailers are known for their best-in-class quality, premium features, lightweight design, and four-season capability.

Which is why they’re often the go-to choice for RVers looking for a premium lightweight camper.  

If you’re thinking about buying a Lance travel trailer though, you’re probably wondering what they cost .

Lance travel trailer costs anywhere from $45,000 to $78,000, depending on the model, features, and options.

With smaller Lance travel trailers, such as the Lance 1475 and Lance 1575 costing less than $50,000, and larger Lance travel trailers, such as the Lance 2445 and Lance 2465 costing over $70,000.

Lightweight Travel Trailers (Least to Most Expensive)

Popular options that add additional cost to the lance travel trailer.

The model number isn’t the only thing that affects the cost of a Lance travel trailer though, as its price can also be impacted by how the trailer is optioned out. 

Because while all Lance travel trailers come very well-equipped, there are some additional options and upgrades that can be added to the trailer to further enhance its capabilities and comfort, which in turn increases its price. 

However, it’s important to point out that when RV dealers order inventory for their lot, they will often option the trailer with many of the below popular options at no additional cost to the end buyer.

All-Weather Package

One of the most popular upgrades for the Lance travel trailer is Lance’s All-Weather Package , which adds heated holding tanks, insulated hatch covers, a water heater bypass, and a winterization valve, to the already standard dual-pane windows and advanced ducted heating,

Allowing you to camp year-round in your Lance travel trailer, regardless of the temperature outside.  

Power Awning with LED Lighting

Another super popular option for the Lance travel trailer is the power awning with LED lighting, which ranges in length from 12 feet to 16 feet 6 inches, depending on the model .  

In fact, it’s so popular that it’s hard to find a Lance camper without one.

Especially if you’re purchasing the trailer from an RV lot, as it’s extremely rare for an RV dealer to order a Lance without an awning.

Solar Panel or Second Solar Panel

Solar power is really starting to take hold in the RV industry.

With many RV manufacturers starting to provide small solar packages standard on their travel trailers.

And while there is no standard solar package on Lance travel trailers, beyond a solar port, you can option the trailer with either one or two 190-watt solar panels .

Which will provide plenty of off-grid power, while you’re boondocking or not connected to shore power.  

Awning Slide Out Covers

Awning slide-out covers make a great addition to any travel trailer.

As they help to protect the top of the slide-out from debris and falling branches and help to prevent damage.

As the awning covers extend over the slide-out, which prevents leaves, branches, and bird droppings from accumulating on the slide.

In addition, awning slide-out covers also help to prevent water, snow, and ice build-up on the slide, which can eventually cause water damage.

An upgrade that’s a must if you’re planning on doing a lot of boondocking and off-grid camping is the optional 1500-watt inverter.

As the inverter allows you to convert your DC battery power to AC power, while off-grid and boondocking.

Allowing you to run conventional appliances such as hair dryers, toasters, and coffee makers from battery power.

Dual Lithium-Ion Batteries

Speaking of battery power, you can also option the Lance travel trailer with dual lithium-ion batteries.

Which is the best battery power currently available for RVs.

As lithium-ion batteries offer several key upgrades over standard lead-acid batteries, including more usable capacity, longer life, faster charging, lighter weight, and more temperature tolerance.  

Electric Tongue Jack

An electric tongue jack is another great addition to any travel trailer, as it gets rid of the old manual tongue jack and replaces it with an electric version.

Allowing you to easily raise or lower the tongue of the trailer with the simple push of a button, instead of having to manually crack it up and down.

Electric Stabilizer Jacks

Another popular option for the Lance travel trailer that makes setting up the trailer much easier and faster is electric stabilizer jacks.

The Lance 1475 is not only one of the most popular models of the Lance but its also the shortest as well as the lightest, with a length of just under 20 feet and a dry weight of only 2,600 pounds

Making it the ideal choice for those with less capable tow vehicles, such as mid-size SUVs or compact trucks, which typically have towing capacities under 5,000 pounds.    

You might have noticed though that we’ve highlighted the 1475S instead of the 1475.

And that’s because there are actually two different versions of the Lance 1475.

Including the standard 1475 and the upgraded 1475S, which features a small slide-out, as well as a couch.

Which gives this small lightweight travel trailer more interior space as well as a three-person sleeping capacity.

Such as more interior space and storage space as well a four-person sleeping capacity.

In addition, the Lance 1985 also offers a spacious three-piece rear bath that spans the entire width of the camper.

As well as a nicely equipped kitchen that offers a two-way stainless steel 7 cubic foot fridge, a flush-mount three-burner propane cooktop, and an optional oven and convection microwave.

Another popular Lance model that’s just slightly larger than the Lance 1985 from above is the Lance 1995.

Because while the Lance 1995 maintains the front walk-around bed and large u-shaped dinette booth, it offers a rear entry door instead of a mid-entry door and utilizes a corner bath as opposed to a rear bath.

If you’re thinking why would Lance go to the trouble of making two models that are so close to one another, that’s actually a benefit of Lance trailers.

Because while many RV manufacturers wouldn’t go to the trouble of making both the 1985 and 1995 models, for such minute differences, Lance did.

As they try to make a travel trailer in every configuration possible in order to fit not only every RVers wants and needs but also their preferences.

As one RVer might prefer a mid-entry door and a rear bath while another might prefer a rear entry door and a corner bath.

Lance sets a new standard for lightweight travel trailers with the 1575 Travel Trailer. Tipping the scales at 2,775 pounds dry weight, the Lance 1575 is towable by most, even the smallest vehicles.

Lance is saving weight by using Azdel™ to replace the wood walls and Lite-Ply™ for the cabinets. Strong and light are the words to describe this new addition to the Lance line.

Lance 1575 floor plan layout.

The kitchen in the Lance 1575 comes with a three-burner stove, a convection oven and a overhead microwave which is sitting next to the sink.

The fridge and freezer are opposite the cooking area. Closet space for hanging clothes is next to the fridge.

The bathroom has a curtain to separate the commode from the shower. In a nod more shower space, the curtain rod swings wide to reach past the shower stall’s bottom lip. A strap holds it securely to the wall when not in use.

The dining area slides out to give you more floor space when parked. This also converts into the second bed at 46″ x78″. It has reading lights.

The 28-inch flat-screen TV is wall mount on an arm that pivots, allowing the screen to be seen from anywhere in the RV.

Specifications and Features of the Lance 1575

The Lance 1575 is a single axle travel trailer that boasts 15 feet, nine inches of floor space. The total overall length of the Lance 1575 is 20 feet, five inches. It stands nine feet, 10 inches, giving you plenty of clearance space going through underpasses.

The RV will support another 925 pounds of weight. That’s a lot of clothes, food and other needs for four people on vacation.

The fridge is five cubic feet, a bit larger than a true mini-fridge. 

The unit comes with a five-gallon propane tank to power the stove and oven and a 14.3m furnace to keep you warm on the coldest nights. You can take a larger tank if needed and connect that when parked.

The freshwater tank is a healthy 26 gallons, enough water for several showers and plenty of drinking and cooking. It heats with gas and uses electrical backup as needed. The gray water and the black water tank each hold 26 gallons, again a generous amount not often seen in an RV trailer of this size.

In the optional equipment, you can get a Coleman 13.5k BTU or 15k BTU AC unit as a roof mount with a digital wall thermostat. The unit will keep you cool on the hottest of days. In case you like sitting outside, a 12-foot roll-up awning. The awning has LED lighting for when the sun goes down and you want to enjoy the night.

Another option offered in the Lance 1575 is a 109-watt solar panel and pre-wiring for additional panels once you get parked.

This is a perfect travel trailer for a getaway for a weekend or longer. A couple or a family with two small children who want a place to sleep after seeing the sights will appreciate the Lance 1575 Travel Trailer. Hunters and fishermen will appreciate the kitchen being enough to cook full meals.

About Our Rentals

• Demonstration of the Vehicle, Full LP Tanks, Sewer Hose, Water Hose, Water Pressure Regulator, Toilet Paper and Chemical.
• There is a 1.92% Delaware Rental Tax added to all Nightly Rental Fees
• $50 Wireless Brake Control
• $50 Hitch Equipment
• $20 Unlimited Daily Usage of Generator
• $100-$300 Delivery Fee (local)
• Portable Generator $400 security deposit and 20.00 per day
• Bike racks are available for both TT and MH for $50.00
• All units require a security deposit that is refunded when the unit is dropped off or picked up by Parkview and reviewed, verifing no damage. Any damage will be taken out of Security Deposit.
• Towables require a $500.00 deposit and Motorhomes require a $1000.00 deposit.
• Cancellation Policy: Should you cancel the rental for any reason within 30 days of your rental, you will forfeit the entire security deposit. Cancellation 31 days or longer from the rental is charged a $100.00 fee from the security deposit.
• Proof of Insurance is required for ALL rentals.
• Motorhomes require an insurance binder, most insurance companies will provide this service. If yours does not, you may purchase MH insurance through MBA Insurance for $27 per DAY with a $10 set up fee.
