PIERCE THE VEIL Announces “The Jaws Of Life Tour” Fall 2023 U.S. Tour

Platinum-selling powerhouse PIERCE THE VEIL — guitarist/vocalist Vic Fuentes , guitarist Tony Perry , and bassist Jaime Preciado — has announced their fall 2023 North American tour plans. “The Jaws Of Life Tour” will kick off on November 4 in Sacramento and run through December 8 in San Diego.

The band will hit the road on a headline run with L.S. DUNES , DAYSEEKER and DESTROY BOYS in tow. It is truly a stacked lineup that shouldn’t be missed!

Tickets will be available starting with a Citi presale beginning Tuesday, July 25. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning on Friday, July 28 at 10 AM local time. Citi is the official card of “The Jaws Of Life Tour” . Citi card-members will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning Tuesday, July 25 at 11am ET until Thursday, July 27 10pm local time through the Citi Entertainment program. Pierce The Veil Announce Fall 2023 Headlining ‘The Jaws Of Life Tour’

Pierce the Veil have announced a fall headlining tour in support of their new album, The Jaws of Life .

The trek kicks off on November 4 in Sacramento, California, and will feature stops across the U.S. before wrapping up on December 8 in San Diego.

L.S. Dunes , the new band featuring My Chemical Romance ‘s Frank Iero and Coheed and Cambria ‘s Travis Stever , Dayseeker , and Destroy Boys will also perform on the tour.

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 28, at 10 a.m. local time.

The Jaws of Life is Pierce the Veil’s first album in seven years. It dropped in February.

Pierce The Veil Announce New ‘The Jaws Of Life’ Tour

Last year, Pierce The Veil announced their new album ,  The Jaws of Life , which will release on February 10, 2023 via  Fearless Records . This will be their first record in 7 years, since 2016’s  Misadventures .

“We’re so proud to announce our fifth studio album, #TheJawsOfLife drops on February 10th, 2023. Recording these songs was an extraordinary experience that brought us closer as a band than we’ve ever felt. We can’t wait for you to hear it,”  the band wrote on Twitter.

So far, they have released the singles  Pass The Nirvana ,  Emergency Contact and  Even When I’m Not With You .

Now, in order to support the upcoming record, the band has announced a Europe/UK tour for 2024.

Tickets will be going on sale this Friday, the 27th of January, at 10 am.

Now the trio is headed out on a run of tour dates in support of their monumental fifth album, one that erupts with the band’s telltale turbulent energy and ecstatically melodic rock sonics.

Pierce The Veil will also be bringing a trifecta of acts to open for them on tour. There will be the supergroup L.S. “Kick your mind open like a punk-rock show/Uppercut bleeding through a softened nose/If you didn’t come home injured would you say it was a good show?” sings Pierce the Veil ’s Vic Fuentes on “Pass the Nirvana,” the Nirvana-esque first single from their fifth album, The Jaws of Life . 

For emo fans now moving into the “kids and mortgage” phase of their life, that line might conjure memories of throwing yourself into a Warped Tour mosh pit — or at least bring to mind more metaphorical coming-of-age cuts and bruises. Well-timed nostalgia for emo’s 2010s golden age is a key selling point here, but Pierce the Veil’s comeback album also admirably strives to make their sound resonate a little more widely than old fans might expect.

The songwriting here is par for the course coming from a band whose lyrics are commonly scrawled across Converse tennis shoes or made into Tumblr edits. “Even When I’m Not With You” delivers high school diary-entry levels of first-crush romanticism; “Shared Trauma” recommends embracing your pain instead of running from it; and the slow-build acoustic-driven ballad “Resilience,” which opens with iconic dialogue from Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused (“If I start referring to these as the best years of my life, remind me to kill myself”), deals with figuring out how to stay sane when teenage angst follows you into adulthood. These guys seem to have figured out the right balance to keep going, and maybe you can, too – Warped Tour scars and all.

Pierce The Veil debuted atop Billboard ’s Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums, and Hard Rock Albums charts twice – first with Collide with the Sky (2012) and its follow-up, Misadventures (2016). A decade after its release, the already platinum “King for a Day” shot to No. 1 on Billboard ’s Hard Rock Streaming chart, driven by the viral #KingForADay hashtag on TikTok (even Lizzo joined in.)   

Even with a platinum song; two gold singles; a gold album; multiple awards and nominations (iHeartRadio Music, MTV Fandom, Kerrang! Awards, Golden Gods, Libera); tours with their peers in bands like Bring Me The Horizon and A Day To Remember; and performances for millions of fans around the world; 2022 shapes up to be their biggest year. Because this is the year of The Jaws of Life.  

The band Rolling Stone once described as “hyperactive, progressive post-hardcore,” returns with album number five, full of fuzzy guitars, massive melodic hooks, and PTV’s distinct emotional heart. Coming in the wake of the band’s latest album, the blink-182 “One More Time” stadium and arena tour kicks off in June 2024, making its way to the Midwest by Friday, August 2 — stopping at Indianapolis’ Cambridge Fieldhouse — and heads to Michigan on Monday, August 12 for a show at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

The iconic pop-punk band blink-182 is made up of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker. Known for late 90s and 2000s hits like “I Miss You” and “All the Small Things,” the group was and still is a staple of the era’s alternative emo culture, although some fans may argue the finer points of the band’s genre classification.

Also popular among alternative listeners, the angsty hardcore-inspired rock/pop-punk band Pierce the Veil is set to tour alongside blink-182 . With Vic Fuentes at the helm, Tony Perry on guitar, and Jaime Preciado as bassist, the band comes to fans now “at their most raw, crackling with urgency and immediacy,” writes Pierce the Veil in their Spotify bio.
