One for the money and the free ride it's two for the times you lied, all rise! Who doesn't enjoy the nostalgic early 00's music of Blue? The UK boyband really made their mark with an R & B infused pop sound that was far more danceable than their contemporaries of the time including Westlife and Boyzone.

Unfortunately the success was short-lived and following an atrocious Eurovision entry the boys parted to work on separate projects. They cemented their return in 2013 with a solid, mature album entitled 'Roulette' and with this the original lineup took to the road to reacquaint themselves with a delighted fanbase. The four men may be older yet they can still dance having all gone on intense fitness regimes and are looking better than ever. The show is imaginably OTT including video interludes, scantily clad dancers and huge amounts of lasers yet favourites such as 'Fly By II' and 'If You Come Back' really do steal the show when performed. The brilliant encore of 'All Rise' has the whole venue singing as one momentous unit and proves that the group clearly had reason to return.

Duncan James – who forms part of Blue alongside Antony Costa, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe – spoke of the Greatest Hits Tour in a recent interview on Good Morning Britain. “I have some great news, that won’t leave you feeling Blue, because we are putting on a special tour,” James said.

The singer told fans to expect plenty of stories since “there’s been a lot happening in the last two decades.” Following the success of ‘I Rise’ and its successive albums ‘One Love’ and ‘Guilty’, Blue took a hiatus in late-2004.

They reunited to represent the UK at 2011’s Eurovision Song Contest, and subsequently released ‘Roulette’ and ‘Colours’ in 2013 and 2015, respectively.

"Tickets on sale from Friday this week."

In 2017, Simon, 45, confirmed he and his bandmates were back in the studio working on a follow-up to 2015's 'Colours', which was their final album released on Sony Music.

At the time, Lee, 38, was in 'EastEnders', Duncan, 43, in 'Hollyoaks' and 40-year-old Anthony was appearing in an Agatha Christie play, so the boys had limited time to work on the new tunes.

Simon said then: "We're in the studio. We did the Sunshine Festival in Worcester. We're going to Latvia tomorrow. We're constantly working, at least two or three times a month."

However, Blue admitted in 2019 that they would be focusing on live shows.

The 'Guilty' hitmaker added how he and his bandmates - who formed in 2000 and have continued to play shows over the years - keep one another grounded.

Simon - who released his first solo album in 11 years 'Smile' that October - said: "[If] the attitude is that we're getting above our station, the other three will bring you back into line. We're very, very grateful to be in the position that we are."

Blue's 2022 UK tour dates are:

Saturday 17 September – M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool

Blue plan 2024 reunion tour: how to get tickets and when they are playing in London

On Monday, Duncan James broke the news on Good Morning Britain , which he currently presents, saying that they would be on the road next year with Simon Webbe , Lee Ryan and Anthony Costa all on board.

Blue: The Greatest Hits tour will be travelling all across England and Scotland (but not Wales) in the spring, armed with six albums of material.

James is currently filling in for showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold on the morning magazine show and said: “I have some great news that won’t leave you feeling blue as we are putting on a special tour.

“We could put your city in lockdown when we fly by on a low ride very soon.”

Thankfully, for the unaffiliated, James was referring to the band’s hit Fly By and not making reference to Covid-19 .

Blue announce greatest hits tour for 2024: 'Celebrate two decades with us!'

Blue are going a theatre tour in 2024.

The boy band - which comprises Duncan James, Simon Webbe, Antony Costa and Lee Ryan - enjoyed huge success in the early 2000s with songs such as 'All Rise' and 'One Love' and will be hitting the road once again in April 2024 as for a run of shows to celebrate their greatest hits.

Speaking on ITV's 'Good Morning Britain', Duncan announced: "There is a certain boyband heading on tour with their biggest hits. I have some great news that won't leave you feeling blue because we are putting on a special tour, a greatest hits tour. But rather than me telling you about it, I thought I'd draft in a couple of my mates to give you all the details."

The 'Celebrity Gogglebox' star then handed the announcement over to his bandmates, who had recorded a video message to excitedly tell fans the news.

Lee said: "We are off on our greatest hits tour and we will be performing at theatres from next April so we really hope you come along and celebrate two decades of hits with us. See you all soon!"

The 'Guilty' hitmakers reunited last year for their sixth album 'Heart and Soul' and its subsequent arena tour.

At the time, Duncan exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "These guys are my brothers, I don’t have any brothers and sisters so getting to be in Blue for the last two decades of my life working with Ant, Si and Lee, they have become my extended family. Sometimes I want to murder them but most of the time it is a harmonious foursome!"

Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday 27 October.

Blue announce first album in 7 years and delay comeback tour

LONDON, ENGLAND - MARCH 09: (L to R) Antony Costa, Lee Ryan, Duncan James and Simon Webbe of Blue attend a party hosted by Instagram's Kevin Systrom and Jamie Oliver. This is their second annual private party, taking place at Barbecoa on March 9, 2015 in London, England. (Photo by David M. Benett/Getty Images for Instagram)

Blue have announced their first album in seven years, Heart and Soul, and delayed their comeback tour.

The boy band – made up of Lee Ryan , Duncan James, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa – were due to embark on a run of live shows in September with Atomic Kitten .

We’ve been in the studio WRITING a brand new album,’ Simon said in a video on social media. ‘And don’t forget we’re going on tour, and the tour’s called Heart & Soul as well, so it ties in together, you’re going to NEED the album!’

The reunion shows were initially set to mark two decades since the release of their chart-topping 2001 debut album, All Rise.

However, they’ve now been pushed back slightly to December, and will coincide with the new record.

The Breathe Easy hitmakers have confirmed their first LP since 2015’s Colours will arrive on September 9.

Finally! We are pleased to announce our sixth studio album ‘Heart & Soul’ is not only on its way but you can preorder it now on the link below. https://t.co/miQOCSQdHe pic.twitter.com/9NbyWbYDyo — BLUE (@officialblue) April 11, 2022

A press release teased that the four-piece “have been back together in the studio working on one of their best records yet.”

Special guests for the new dates will be announced and all tickets will remain valid, with the run kicking off on December 4 at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena and concluding at Newcastle Utilita Arena on December 20.

In 2017, Simon, 43, confirmed he and his bandmates were back in the studio.

At the time, Lee, 38, was in EastEnders, Duncan, 44, in Hollyoaks and 40-year-old Antony was appearing in an Agatha Christie play, so the boys had limited time to work on the new tunes.

He said: ‘We’re in the studio. We did the Sunshine Festival in Worcester. We’re going to Latvia tomorrow. We’re constantly working, at least two or three times a month.’

Heart and Soul can be pre-ordered now by visiting  Blue.lnk.to/preorder and will be available on CD, Vinyl and Cassette, as well as on all digital platforms. Get your tickets here .

Blue are looking forward to giving their fans a year to remember with a brand-new studio album, titled Heart & Soul , as well as a UK tour, now taking place in December.

The British four-piece, including all 4 original members - Antony Costa , Duncan James , Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe - have been back together in the studio working on one of their best records yet. Due to some very exciting plans to be announced in due course, Blue have had to move back their tour a few months.

To celebrate their 20 th anniversary, Blue have announced today their Heart & Soul Tour , which will be coming to London’s The O2 on Thursday 29 September 2022. Blue will be joined on tour by special guests B*Witched and Megan McKenna.

The announcement for the Heart & Soul Tour comes 20 years to the week that Blue released their smash hit #1 debut album, All Rise . The album which was released 20 years ago this week, went on to sell over 1.4 million copies in the UK alone and was certified 4x Platinum. The tour sees all four original members – Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe – reunite for a fun-filled epic show. The concert will feature all the band’s hits from their 5 albums as well as some incredible surprises.

Speaking of the tour, Blue added: “We can’t believe it’s been 20 years since All Rise, our debut album, was released. It’s been quite the ride since then and now we have so much to look forward to as we go into our third decade! We had a lot of time in lock down to reconnect as friends and we started thinking how we could celebrate the anniversary. The four of us started working on new music and it felt so good to be back doing what we love again. This time off during the pandemic also made us realise how much we missed performing live. We can’t wait to get back on the road and see all of you at our Heart & Soul Tour. We have been planning this tour for a while and we promise you, we’ll be putting on the best show and making it a celebratory night you won’t forget! We have some surprises up our sleeve for the 20 th anniversary so stay tuned, 2022 is going to be a big one!”

Blue are one of the most successful British bands and have sold over 16 million albums worldwide including 3.6 million albums and 1.4 million singles in the UK. Their first 3 albums all topped the Official Album Chart and the group have worked with a variety of legends including Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Lil’ Kim. The British four-piece have recently begun work on new music, with announcements to come.
