We offer several unique experiences aboard our two vessels. “The Cetacean” is a 52’ sailing catamaran. Aboard our sailboat, you can sail away with us for a daytime excursion or a romantic sunset sailing cruise!

The Explorer is our pontoon-style vessel that allows up-close views of our resident dolphin pod. Aboard The Explorer, Dolphin sightings are guaranteed, or you next trip is free!

Both of our vessels are equipped with restrooms, as well as a full-service cocktail bar. We also offer private cruising options on both vessels for field trips, social events, corporate outings, bachelor/bachelorette parties and weddings.

Have you ever experienced a sailing adventure aboard a two-hull sailboat? Two hulls provide stability, which prevents leaning and ensures a smooth sailing experience. Come enjoy a two-hour, daytime sail in Orange Beach aboard the Cetacean, a 52-foot Hawaiian catamaran. With the wind in our sails, the Cetacean skims along the waters of Orange Beach, Alabama and Perdido Key, Florida. Our sailboat is the only sailing vessel that offers a full service cocktail bar onboard in Orange Beach, Alabama.

While out sailing, watch the mesmerizing sight of wildlife in their natural habitat as schools of fish surround the boat, our playful dolphins come to say hello, and marine birds dive into the water for breakfast or lunch. We also often spot bald eagles, egrets, herons, osprey, and seagulls flying by! This relaxing Alabama cruise is perfect for couples, families, and groups of friends.

Customers must be prepared to show a physical, valid form of ID when ordering alcoholic beverages. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and consume alcoholic beverages. Expired IDs are NOT valid. Valid forms of ID include:

• Non-expired, valid driver’s license
• Valid U.S. Uniformed Service Identification [Military ID]
• Valid passport
• Valid Alabama non-drivers ID issued by Dept. of Public Safety
• Chevron down Cancellation Policy

Customers will receive a full refund with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.

We offer Educational Dolphin and Nature Eco Cruises in the Calm Water Bays aboard "The Explorer", a 40' Aluminum Catamaran that holds 49 passengers, this vessel offers a Clean Restroom and it's half covered for shade and sun. It has an open Bow for walking around and kids can help drive the boat! The Explorer can navigate very shallow waters, we can go where no other boats can go! We also offer Relaxing Sailing Excursions aboard our luxury 52ft Catamaran Sail Boat. Enjoy a day cruise or a beautiful sunset cruise! We also cater to Private Parties for Weddings, Bachelor/ette Parties, Romantic Private Cruises, Birthday Parties, Family Reunions and Corporate Outings. We offer a catering menu as well. Booked last minute and was so happy we did. This was a wonderful experience for me and my kiddos. Captain Lein and the crew of Tina and Karie treated us so well. The morning was brisk but they provided us with blankets and warm drinks. Right away we saw dolphins and Captain Lein shared some awesome knowledge about dolphins and the local wildlife. We saw many dolphins and even caught them jumping our wake! The highlight was the new born baby we saw! Would definitely go again.

Yelpers this is a great experience for a nice sailing on a large catamaran. Very reasonable priced, so much so I had to check a few times to make sure it was accurate. Captain and crew made sure we had a safe and fun voyage. Big kudos to the crew- my son is autistic and sometimes can get over stimulated- they offered to him to go below into the cabin just to chill and have some electronics time-- this helped him reset and really enjoy the trip. I can see where having drinks and chilling on a sunset cruise would set the perfect mood. The cetacean is a fun cruise and a nice trip during a visit to orange beach.

Great time and priced fairly. The 3 person staff were attentive and it was well organized. The drinks were tasty. The one staff member offered to take pictures for anyone that needed one. The only couple of suggestions would be that we just went out into one main body of water and the description implies that the tour would be multiple and also more nature based In the information given as we cruised along. The sunset was seen over a set of trees as we made our way back. It felt a bit anticlimactic. We were thinking the sunset would be the grand finale. The dolphins however really came out and we saw so many that it was all worth it. So hats off to the captain and crew for their keen eyes to spot those pods. Take a cruise with these nice folks. You'll enjoy it.

This is the absolute BEST experience you will find!!! Captain Lynn is knowledgeable and fun! It is an incredible ride with beautiful dolphins swimming all around you! Fresh drinks available and the kids had an absolute blast! I would do this all over again next time we are visiting. Ssshhh... best kept secret around. Go and you definitely will not regret it!

The cruise was great. We were able to see dolphins several times during the sailing. The crew was wonderful, very friendly and fun. I highly recommend this cruise.

Great Captain/Crew. Was handed a drink menu before boarding. Ordered a Dizzy Dolphin which was good but i didnt get dizzy lol. It was a very hot day but smooth sailing on Father's Day 2022 Everything went well. Greeted kindly and was assigned Seating upfront. Great music selection. We were always checked on by crew throughout our 2hr sunset cruise. Sailed on wolf bay thought we would sail orange beach but only the bay. We saw a few beautiful homes and others out boating Saw a few dolphins while out they were so quick, I couldn't catch a pic. Finally the star of the show..THE sunset and it was amazing!!

Great experience. The waitresses were happy to be there and checked in on you at all times and the drink menu was large. The captain was friendly, informative and made sure that we saw dolphins. There is not too many people on the boat so you don't feel crammed in. The whole experience was well organized and on time as well. Well done guys.

My two sisters and I cruised with Captain Lynne (not sure of the spelling of the good captain's name) and his crew of cheerful and helpful gals. We liked the size of the Explorer (28 on our cruise). Smaller than some of the other options I checked out. The captain was knowledgeable and personable as well. I felt that these people were dedicated to us having a good time which we did. The best part of the cruise was when the captain opened up the throttle on the way back to create a large wake . This drew several dolphins who cavorted playfully in the wake, swimming and diving behind us. We even saw a mum and baby! It was a pure joy to see those dolphins having such a good time. I would not hesitate to recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to learn about the area and see dolphins having a good time.

Being a local and never having been on a dolphin cruise I chose Cetacean on the advice of friends for my first adventure. I brought my visiting family myself and my husband to our sunset cruise. Needless to say it was amazing!!! Captain Ron and his crew made me look at my world in a new light !!! I love the enthusiasm and energy they put into exploring the Gulf Shores and it's wildlife!! Highly recommend this for not only visitors but anyone that needs a evening adventure!
