Safari’s Air Ram system is a pivotal and functional attribute of the snorkel; CAD and lab tested, the Air Ram is designed to simultaneously remove the maximum volume of water from the incoming air stream, while delivering the maximum airflow to your vehicle’s engine. 

Durable Materials

Safari snorkels utilise a UV stable polyethylene body which ensures a strong and robust fitting to the outside of your 4×4, complemented by high-grade stainless steel and plated hardware for corrosion resistance on all internal and external fittings and fixtures. All Safari connection ducting is custom designed and tooled and is manufactured from EPDM moulded rubber, rated to a continual 130°C operating temperature. There is nothing better!

“Will this fit straight onto my vehicle?” Safari Snorkel kits are developed specifically to fit your vehicle model. A wide range of kits are available to suit different model variants, but in some cases minor adaption is required to suit specific air filter boxes or other engine bay differences. This is straightforward and would normally be covered in the supplied fitting instructions.

“Is drilling required?” Yes, a drilling template is supplied.

“Is this product watertight?” If installed correctly and with all joints properly assembled and sealed, a Safari Snorkel kit will raise the air intake point of your vehicle and can be used for driving in deeper water than a standard vehicle might allow. Of course, other components may also need to be waterproofed to avoid engine or component damage.

“Can I fit a snorkel along with upgrades such as wheel arch kits?” Yes, this is a common upgrade. In some cases, the snorkel and wheel arch kit may overlap and the wheel arch may need trimming.

“Will this kit fit both left and right hand drive vehicles?” Yes, in most cases the vehicle manufacturer does not relocate components such as the air filter box when building left or right hand drive vehicles. The vast majority of Safari Snorkel kits are therefore suited to both LHD and RHD vehicles. Exceptions are detailed in the notes section.

Hey all! It has been quite a while since I was last posting on these forums, got a lot to catchup on! I recently picked up a Safari Snorkel for my D22 3.0lt Navara and am in need of a template for installation. Does anyone know where I can buy one? The only alternative I can think of is to get ARB or Opposite Lock to fit it and they will source a template for it, but that will end up being a $200 fit. I appreciate any help you can offer!

Hi mate, im not sure how similar it is to the genuine nissan snorkel, but you can get those templates from nizzbits. Not sure if they have others. Just go to their website and msg them.

Thanks for the suggestion, I got in touch. They only have the genuine Nissan snorkel parts. So far I think the only way I will get them is by someone who has the template from their setup they are happy to pass on...  

I fitted a after market snorkel a few years ago and the template was so out of shape I threw it away and marked around the snorkel, with a bit of guess work, and it fitted perfectly. Honestly you don't need a template if you are careful. measure twice, cut once!!  

Hey mate, I just fitted an eBay snorkel on my d22 two days ago and I am pretty sure it is an exact copy of a safari snorkel. I'll check in the morning to see if I already threw out the template or not... I am pretty sure though that I still have it. If I do I'll gladly send it to you, I won't be needing it and hope to not install one myself again, was a big pain getting the piping in behind the guard but I got there in the end and it turned out awesome, sounds great too...

Made for the Nissan Navara D22 (1997-2015), this hand-crafted 4" stainless steel snorkel looks incredible, sounds amazing, and will provide your engine with the much needed air-intake it requires for optimal performance. This Nissan Navara D22 Stainless Steel Snorkel , from the Meredith Metalworks team, has been designed to be recessed into the guard making it follow the body lines of the vehicle with a sleek finish. Available in multiple variations, including a black or polished silver finish, the snorkel has been hand crafted and precision engineered to present a seamless finish, ensuring no welds or seams are visible, providing your vehicle with a high-end, modern appearance. The DIY Snorkel kit includes everything you will require for a standard installation, including the instructions, hardware and template (tools not included).

Meredith products that are built to order and hand-made, will result in a 6-8+ business week production timeframe. All orders will be posted within 6-8+ business weeks. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.

If the Meredith Workshop is experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY ESTIMATES

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Please note: some items require multiple packages which will incur extra postal charges.

This shipping times are an estimate only.

• Standard Local: 1-3 business days
• Standard North QLD,NSW, VIC: 3-4 business days
• Standard Adelaide, TAS: 4-5 business days
• Standard Perth: 8-10 business days
• Standard SA, WA, NT & International: 8-10 business day depending

(Please note that these transit times are an estimated average between multiple freight companies)

Damage/loss of goods during freight is not common but they do sometimes happen. In the case where a package is damaged/lost during freight please follow these steps:

- document exactly how the package was delivered (if applicable)

- retain all packaging (damaged or not)

- contact us for further instructions (if damaged goods are in a used condition then compensation may be voided)

Please note that in the case of damaged or lost shipments Meredith Metalworks​ will need to process a insurance claim with the courier company at fault. This can sometimes be a lengthy process, in some cases the customer will need to wait until the claim is closed - the customer will be informed of this if applicable. During the claim process the customer may need to be contacted by a third party or the courier company.

Order Returns and Cancellations

To be eligible for a return/refund, your item must be unused/tampered and in the same condition that you received it. Incorrectly packaging of the goods for return shipment may result in damage which can affect the return/refund. If the product is found not to be faulty, the customer may be required to pay the transport or inspection costs (up to the amount of $200). Administrative processing fees may also apply.

- Products are unable to be return or refunded 60 days after delivery. It is the customers responsibility to check and ensure all parts are included and non damaged within this time frame.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial or no refund is granted:

• Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
• Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery and entails a restocking fee.
• Where the reasoning for the refund is out of our control and there is found to be insufficient grounds for a refund.

Refunds (if applicable)

Products are to be returned and inspected before a refund can be processed, we will send you an email to notify you of the outcome of the refund.

If the refund is approved, it will then be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Customers can expect to see the transfer within 14 days, this is subject to bank T&C’s.

Order Cancellation (if applicable)

All cancellation requests must be made via email to [email protected]. (Refunds will not include any applicable card processing fees).

Cancellation requests for unfulfilled website orders, made within 7 days of the initial order date, will be refunded in full. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used. (Refunds will not include any applicable card processing fees)

Cancellation requests for unfulfilled website orders of non-custom products, made within 14 days of the initial order date, will be refunded in full. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used.

Orders for custom End Caps, or those containing customizations, will be assessed a cancellation fee of 5%-10%. Cancellation fee is determined based on the cumulative time spent by Meredith Metalworks staff in curating the documentation needed to process the order and/or fielding inquiries regarding the order. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used minus the cancellation fee.

Cancellation requests for unfulfilled website orders of non-custom products, made more than 14 days from the initial order date will be assessed a cancellation fee of 5%-10% based on the cumulative time spent by Meredith Metalworks staff in curating the documentation needed to process the order and/or fielding inquiries regarding the order. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used minus the cancellation fee.

If the order has accrued programming or proofing time with the design team in preparation for cutting of custom End Caps it will be assessed a cancellation fee of 30% to cover time spent in the processing of the order. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used minus the cancellation fee.

Cancellation requests for unfulfilled website orders of any kind, made 14 days or more from the initial order date will be assessed a cancellation fee of 10%- or no more than $150 based on the cumulative time spent by Meredith Metalworks staff in curating the specs needed to process the order, programming or proofing, and/or fielding inquiries regarding the order. OR 100% of the balance to be provided as a store credit; valid towards a future order. Store credits are valid for THREE (3) Year from the date of issuance.

Snorkeling st pete beach.

Snorkeling is one of the most popular activities around St Pete beach and with good reason. Florida’s beautiful clear waters and wealth of amazing wildlife make it an experience never to be forgotten. It’s great for kids and adults alike and doesn’t require expensive equipment- you can hire snorkels, masks, and fins or buy them fairly cheaply in St Petersburg. Just don’t forget to wear sunscreen- with so much to see down there it’s really easy to get burnt while snorkeling.

You can snorkel on St Pete Beach itself or in numerous quieter spots around Pass-a-Grille, but in order to see the best wildlife head for one of these locations:

General Info

Shell Key Snorkeling Trips Some of the best snorkeling in the St Pete beach area is found at Shell Key, a stunning little island about half a mile out from Pass-a-Grille, and there is no better way to get there than to take the Shell Key Shuttle ferry service. They even provide free snorkels for customer use, along with beach umbrellas and shell bags. As the name suggests, the key is also the perfect place to go shelling. Shell Key is superbly unspoiled, so expect to see a huge variety of underwater wildlife. Graceful stingrays are often seen and sometimes even manatees and dolphins. Because the ferry leaves from Pass-a-Grille, it’s very easy to access from Inn on the Beach.  Bring your own lunch and take plenty of water as there are no permanent facilities on the island.

Snorkel with the Dolphins at Egmont Key and Fort Dade If snorkeling with dolphins is more your style, take a trip out to Egmont Key. Snorkel cruises leave from St Pete Beach daily and private charters are easily available for larger groups. Seeing the dolphins at play is an incredible experience, but there is another treat in store for snorkelers at Egmont. You can actually swim and snorkel over the ruins of Fort Dade, a relic from the Spanish-American War that is now home to octopus and the dazzling array of fish that only Florida can provide.

Located on the top floor of the Inn, the Magnolia is our “Honeymoon Suite” with Gulf and sunset views. This prime one-bedroom suite features the very best of the Inn with a king bedroom, bathroom with over-sized shower, living and dining area, fully sized kitchen, and private balcony.

The unit has cathedral ceilings giving it a spacious feel, and there are lots of windows providing stunning natural light. It's a peaceful, romantic escape just steps away from the Gulf of Mexico.

The Cottage

Next door to the Inn, this tranquil oasis has a large bedroom with a king bed plus a fully equipped kitchen. The living room is complete with seating area, cable television and a DVD player. The bathroom has a large shower. The outdoor deck has plenty of seating and a gas grill - perfect for outdoor suppers.

In 2021, St Pete Beach, Fl landed on TripAdvisor’s Top Beaches in the US list . Needless to say, this resort city is perfect for boaters and beachgoers, and especially for snorkelers and divers. Under these crystal clear waters is an amazing world full of incredible marine wildlife. In this post, we’ll share the snorkeling hotspots around St Pete Beach :

1. Shell Key Preserve

Shell Key Preserve (1,828 acres) is the largest barrier island in this area. It holds the largest sand dollar population in all of Florida. Keep in mind there are no facilities on this preserve, but some boats have super-clean and convenient restrooms and showers aboard.

To get here, you’ll need a boat. If you plan on operating your own boat, pay attention to the local tide charts, and be vigilant when navigating through the shallow waters on the east side.

Scallops, sea urchins, whelks, manta rays, manatees, horseshoe crabs, and starfish will wave hello at you during your snorkeling trip here.

2. Egmont Key State Park

If you’re as interested in history as you are in an adventure, come to Egmont Key State Park , where you’ll be able to know the story of Fort Dade, a strategic point during the Third Seminole War, the Civil War, and the Spanish American War.

Sea turtles frequent Egmont Key State Park’s beach area and a plethora of friendly bottle-nosed dolphins surround Egmont Key. And, they’re NOT shy! This is one of the best spots in Florida to swim, snorkel, and scuba dive with dolphins.

Always follow Leave No Trace; this is such a special place that should be treasured. Egmont Key State Park is only accessible by boat, so make sure to find the perfect boat for your upcoming snorkeling trip .

3. Fort De Soto Park

Featured on Trip Advisor as an amazing beach park in 2009; Fort De Soto Park consists of five offshore islands and keys— St. Christopher Key, St. Jean Key, Madelaine Key, Bonne Fortune Key, and the “main” island, Mullet Key.

It is a major snorkeling location (2.7 million annual visitors) so plan on seeing others here. The marine wildlife here is just as lively! Bottlenose dolphins, octopi, snapper, shrimp, manta rays, fighting conch, seahorses, and other tropical fish are all here.
