The Tour Issue Black Onyx Wedge shaft holds the industries tightest weight tolerance for the exacting performance demanded by the best players. Now available in a Black Onyx finish for less glare - a visually striking wedge shaft.  Flexes include S400 & X100.

MODERATE TEMPO

Tempo is not how fast you swing it, it is how you swing it fast. Tempo will affect how you load and unload the shaft and is a big factor in which shaft will best suit you. A player with a quicker backswing and more aggressive transition will have a faster tempo, while a player with a slower backswing and smoother transition will have a more deliberate tempo.

LOW TRAJECTORY

Trajectory is the flight of the ball and the peak height that the ball reaches. A player who struggles with getting the ball in the air should look towards a higher trajectory shaft, while a player who struggles hitting the ball too high should look for a lower trajectory shaft.

Spin is the amount of backspin that the ball has. The designs of certain golf shafts can promote more or less spin so keep this in mind when looking for a shaft to maximize your game.

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

Taper tip shafts should never be tip trimmed because they are designed to discrete lengths. Butt trim taper tip shafts to finished length.

True temper dynamic gold onyx tour issue shaft, share this article.

PINEHURST, N.C. – There seems to be a certain allure to black golf shafts made of steel, whether they are found in putters, wedges or irons.

“A lot of golfers really, really like them,” said Chad Hall, global head of tour operations for True Temper. “We’ve had many (PGA Tour) reps and players asking for this for a long time.”

Hall was referring to True Temper’s new black steel wedge shaft, the DG (Dynamic Gold) Onyx Tour Issue. This shaft, introduced recently in Memphis at the St. Jude Classic and at the U.S. Open, could be a forerunner of more black shafts to come.

“The reason the Onyx shaft will be available only for wedges will become clear in 12 months or so when we make a major announcement,” Hall said. “I can’t say any more, but the wait will be worthwhile.”

The DG Onyx Tour Issue shafts will be available July 14 in S400 and X100 flexes. The shafts are all black – “a liquid cosmetic process with multiple layers,” Hall said – with gold logo and accents.

Except for the color, the black Tour Issue wedge shaft is identical to the Tour Issue wedge shaft that already exists. Tour Issue, in True Temper’s jargon, means tighter sorting tolerances (for example, plus or minus a half gram in weight).

The DG Onyx Tour Issue, available from True Temper Performance Fitting Centers and the Titleist custom department, is expected to sell for about $50 installed.

What’s the difference between True Temper Dynamic Gold and Dynamic Gold Tour Issue shafts?

Jonathan Wall

Welcome to another edition of Fully Equipped, an interactive GOLF.com series in which our resident dimplehead (a.k.a., GOLF’s managing editor of equipment, Jonathan Wall ) fields your hard-hitting equipment questions.

What’s the difference between True Temper’s Dynamic Golf and Dynamic Gold Tour Issue shafts? — Chris Umbrian

You’d be surprised how often I get this question on social media . Then again, True Temper’s Dynamic Gold shaft is the most popular shaft in professional golf, so maybe I shouldn’t be all that surprised. And with Scottie Scheffler winning over the weekend with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue in the bag, the timing feels right to dive into the differences between the Tour version and standard offering.

When the word “Tour” is attached to a product, most recreational golfers immediately assume the club, ball or shaft has special powers that allow, say, Dustin Johnson to crank it 350 yards. In actuality, the difference is usually a slight shape or weight modification that only someone with a discerning eye of hypersensitive feel could pick up on. On the putter side, Scotty Cameron creates Tour-only flatsticks out of high-end materials (German Stainless Steel) that cost far too much to mass-produce.

Graphite irons shafts: KBS MAX

With True Temper’s Dynamic Gold steel shaft (low launch and spin characteristics), there isn’t a difference in performance, profile or material when it comes to the Tour version versus what you’d find on an off-the-rack set of irons. You can differentiate the two models by their shaft bands and weight tolerances.

While the shaft band is purely cosmetic, weight tolerances can alter the overall feel of the club. With the standard Dynamic Gold, the weight sorting tolerance is plus-or-minus two grams per shaft, which doesn’t sound like much. Because the weight can differ slightly during production — and because Dynamic Gold is a weight-sorted product — the standard stiff flex is broken out into three sub-flexes: S200 (127 grams), S300 (130 grams) and S400 (134 grams). With S300 acting as the “standard” stiff flex, anything that comes in over or below 130 grams is deemed to be a lighter (S200) or heavier (S400) version.

True Temper's standard Dynamic Gold steel shaft.

Because Tour players are far more discerning when it comes to their clubs, a difference of plus-or-minus two grams can be noticed by a professional. To keep shaft weights as close to identical as possible, True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue is measured to plus-or-minus half a gram, which is as tight as you can get with a steel shaft in the industry.

With tighter tolerances, Tour Issue is offered in just S400 (132 grams) and X100 (130 grams) flexes. There’s no need for sub-flexes. Considering players like Tiger Woods, Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas use Tour Issue in their irons and wedges, it’s easy to see why True Temper keeps shaft weights as accurate as possible.

Onyx gold receives drill permit for king tut project and provides 2024 exploration program update.

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - June 6, 2024) - Onyx Gold Corp. (TSXV: ONYX) (OTCQX: ONXGF)  (" Onyx Gold " or the " Company ") is pleased to announce that it has received its approved Quartz Class 1 Notification for the King Tut Property (" King Tut ," " Project " or " Property "), in Yukon's Tombstone Gold Belt ( Figure 1 ). The Company also provides an update on its preliminary summer exploration plans for the Project, including the newly acquired WEAS claims.

Onyx Gold has received its Quartz Class 1 Notification for the King Tut Project from the Yukon Government. This permit paves the way for the Company to execute its 2024 exploration programs, which include up to 4,900 meters of diamond drilling.

The Company has outlined a comprehensive Phase 1 exploration program for the King Tut Project. This program, scheduled for July, includes geological mapping, prospecting, and rock/soil sampling in the Golden Mask, Ra (formerly WEAS), and Main Tut prospect areas. The results of this program will be instrumental in shaping a potential Phase II diamond drilling program.

Spring data compilation and target generation by in-house staff and external consultants is complete and is under review by Company management.

Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited ("Archer Cathro") has been contracted to provide technical assistance and logistical support for the Program.

"With the arrival of warmer weather and the completion of our Timmins drilling program, our team is excited to shift their focus back to our King Tut property, proximal to Snowline Gold's properties in the Yukon Territory," said Brock Colterjohn, President & CEO. "Our Phase I exploration program is designed to leverage and build upon last year's encouraging results that confirmed widespread gold mineralization across the Main Tut and Golden Mask anomalies."

"We are particularly excited to explore the significantly expanded footprint of the Golden Mask intrusion as well as our recent Ra (WEAS) acquisition. The Ra prospect holds significant gold potential, confirmed by historical work, associated with gold-bearing sheeted quartz veins within an exposed 3 km by 2 km granitic intrusion."

He further commented, "The Phase I program results will help refine and prioritize drill targets ahead of a potential Phase II diamond drilling program later this summer. We look forward to the busy field season and believe this year's programs mark an exciting step towards our goal of unlocking a new gold discovery in the prolific Tombstone Gold Belt."

Permitting Update

The Quartz Class 1 Notification enables the Company to execute exploration programs pursuant to the Yukon Quartz Mining Act and Territorial Lands (Yukon) Act, which include prospecting, geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and diamond drilling (up to 4,900m) across the Property. The Notification is valid until June 2025 and is renewed annually. The active Class 1 Notification for the recently acquired WEAS claims will be renewed in July 2024.

The Company is also working on regulatory authority and community engagement as part of a Class III Exploration Permit application. Receipt of a Class III Permit would enable expanded exploration field camp construction and increased drilling activities with a duration of five to ten years.

2023 King Tut Program Summary and 2024 Summer Exploration Plans

Work by the Company in 2023 focused on a first-ever drill program on the property to test the promising Main Tut and Golden Mask gold-in-soil anomalies, which are associated with two separate intrusion-related gold systems, and the execution of property-wide geophysical surveys, geochemical surveys, and mapping and prospecting programs to refine drill targets and identify prospective areas for future exploration. Results from the inaugural nine-hole 2,123-meter drill program confirmed widespread gold mineralization across the Main Tut and Golden Mask anomalies, including 0.30 g/t Au over 32.50 m in drill hole KT23-005, validating the existence of potential bulk-tonnage reduced intrusion-related gold systems (" RIRGS ") on the Property ( See Company News Release dated November 15, 2023 ). In addition, new airborne magnetic surveying and soil sampling have also significantly expanded the size of the mapped intrusions at both targets ( Figure 2 ).

The Company is preparing to launch an early summer Phase 1 exploration program, which will consist of reconnaissance surface sampling and mapping surrounding the newly acquired Ra intrusion located on the WEAS claims ( See Company News Release dated May 9, 2024 ) ( Figure 3 ) and follow-up fieldwork on the Golden Mask and Main Tut prospects based on last year's encouraging results. The results from this program will inform a potential drilling program later in the summer. Archer Cathro has been contracted to provide technical assistance and logistical support for the Program.

About the King Tut Project

The King Tut Project is located 10 km south of Snowline Gold's consolidated Rogue, Einarson and Cynthia properties and is 50 km from Snowline's Valley discovery made in June 2021. At King Tut, past exploration work by a predecessor company outlined multi-kilometer long gold-in-soil anomalies associated with mapped granitic to granodioritic intrusive bodies, and drilling by the Onyx Gold in 2023 confirmed widespread gold mineralization across the Main Tut and Golden Mask anomalies validating the bulk-tonnage RIRGS potential of the Project. The newly acquired Ann Mark Zone of the Ra intrusion in the center of the Project hosts multigenerational gold-bearing sheeted quartz veins within an exposed, 3 km by 2 km granitic intrusion and drilling by a previous operator intersected 1.0 grams per tonne gold over 21 meters (true width unknown) associated with the sheeted quartz veins, along with surface grab samples of up to 20.1 g/t Au.

About the Yukon Gold Properties

Onyx Gold controls a portfolio of greenfield gold properties in eastern Yukon, totaling 227 square kilometers. The King Tut Property is Onyx Gold's most advanced and compelling property in the Yukon, located in the heart of an emerging reduced intrusive-related gold district in the Selwyn Basin. Previous fieldwork identified large-scale undrilled gold-in-soil anomalies in a comparable geological setting 50 km from the Rogue/Valley Discovery, one of Canada's most significant new gold discoveries.

About Onyx Gold

Onyx Gold is an exploration company focused on well-established Canadian mining jurisdictions, with assets in Timmins, Ontario, and Yukon Territory. The Company's extensive portfolio of quality gold projects in the greater Timmins gold camp includes the Munro-Croesus Gold property, renowned for its high-grade mineralization, plus two additional earlier-stage large exploration properties, Golden Mile and Timmins South. Onyx Gold also controls four properties in the Selwyn Basin area of Yukon Territory, which is currently gaining significance due to recent discoveries in the area. Onyx Gold's experienced board and senior management team are committed to creating shareholder value through the discovery process, careful allocation of capital, and environmentally/socially responsible mineral exploration.

Out of the Centre

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery and Museum

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.

WGS 84 coordinate reference system is the latest revision of the World Geodetic System, which is used in mapping and navigation, including GPS satellite navigation system (the Global Positioning System).

Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) define a position on the Earth’s surface. Coordinates are angular units. The canonical form of latitude and longitude representation uses degrees (°), minutes (′), and seconds (″). GPS systems widely use coordinates in degrees and decimal minutes, or in decimal degrees.

Latitude varies from −90° to 90°. The latitude of the Equator is 0°; the latitude of the South Pole is −90°; the latitude of the North Pole is 90°. Positive latitude values correspond to the geographic locations north of the Equator (abbrev. N). Negative latitude values correspond to the geographic locations south of the Equator (abbrev. S).

Longitude is counted from the prime meridian ( IERS Reference Meridian for WGS 84) and varies from −180° to 180°. Positive longitude values correspond to the geographic locations east of the prime meridian (abbrev. E). Negative longitude values correspond to the geographic locations west of the prime meridian (abbrev. W).

UTM or Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system divides the Earth’s surface into 60 longitudinal zones. The coordinates of a location within each zone are defined as a planar coordinate pair related to the intersection of the equator and the zone’s central meridian, and measured in meters.

Elevation above sea level is a measure of a geographic location’s height. We are using the global digital elevation model GTOPO30 .

Hands up if you’re ready to be dazzled! From a ceremony structure designed to float on water to a jaw-dropping reception room with flowers blooming from every service, we’re swooning over every bit of this wedding. If you can believe it, that’s just the beginning. Julia Kaptelova artfully shot every detail, like the ballet performance guests were treated to and snow falling from the ceiling for the first dance! Prepare to be amazed and take a visit to the full gallery .

From About You Decor … Our design is a symbol of dawn and a distant endless horizon. Ahead is a long, happy life without any borders. An international couple, Pavel and Cherry, met in London and have been walking together for many years.

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

From the Bride, Cherry… My husband and I we decided to have our summer wedding in Moscow because the city is where his roots are. As we knew we were going to have the other wedding ceremony in China, we wanted our Moscow one to be very personal and intimate. We’ve known each other since we were fourteen, together with many of our friends whom we’ve also known for a decade.

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

I didn’t want to walk down the aisle twice so the plausibility of my request quickly came into discussion. The open pontoon stage was constructed in order to facilitate the bridal entrance on water, although there were concerns about safety as the last thing we wanted was probably a drowned bride before she could get on stage, picture that! I have to say on that day it wasn’t easy to get on the pontoon stage from the boat, in my long gown and high heels. Luckily my bridesmaids still noticed even though they stood the furthest from me on the stage, and helped me out without prior rehearsal. My girls could just tell whenever I needed a hand or maybe they were just so used to my clumsiness. Who knows 😂

We all love our photographer Julia! She’s so talented and her style is so unique. Our beloved host Alex is exceptional who made everyone laugh and cry. It was truly a blessing to have so many kind and beautiful souls on our big day. Thank you all!

I’m still not convinced this Moscow wedding, captured to perfection by  Sonya Khegay , isn’t actually an inspiration session—it’s just  that breathtaking. From the beautiful Bride’s gorgeous lace wedding dress and flawless hair and makeup to the pretty pastel color palette and stunning ceremony and reception spaces, this wedding is almost too good to be true. Do yourself a favor and see it all in The Vault now!

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

From Sonya Khegay … It was the last day of April and still very cold in the morning. The weather forecast wasn’t pleasing and no one expected that the sun would come out, but miracles happen and light rain gave way to the warm rays.

I love how all the details went together, you could feel the harmony in everything throughout the entire wedding day from the morning until the fireworks.

A gentle look of the bride, elegant but so airy and unique decor, the fresh and light atmosphere of early spring and, of course, true happiness in the eyes. My heart becomes so warm from these memories, it is always a pleasure to see the birth of a new family of two loving hearts.

You really can’t go wrong with simple: a beautiful Bride , perfectly pretty petals , loved ones all around. But add in an amazing firework show  to cap off the night and simple just became downright extraordinary. Captured by Lena Elisseva , with assistance by  Katya Butenko , this rustic Russian celebration is simply fantastic. See it all in the Vault right here !

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

From Lena Eliseeva Photo …  This cozy and warm summer wedding of gorgeous Natalia and Anton was in the middle of June. The young couple decided to organize their wedding themselves, and the day was very personal and touching. I am absolutely in love with rustic outdoor weddings, and this one is my favourite because of the free and easy atmosphere.

All the decor excluding the bride’s bouquet was made by a team of ten friends of the bride and groom. And it was charming – a light and beautiful arch, eco-style polygraphy and succulents, candy-bar with caramel apples and berries – sweet joys of summer.

At the end of ceremony the guests tossed up white handkerchiefs embroidered by Natalia’s own hands.

The most touching moment was the happy eyes of the groom’s grandmother, the most estimable person on the wedding. And the fireworks were a bright end to that beautiful day.

These photos from Lena Kozhina are so stunningly beautiful – as in you can’t help but stop and stare – it’s hard to believe it’s real life. But these pics are proof of this gorgeous Bride and her handsome Groom’s celebration at Moscow’s Fox Lodge , surrounded by vibrant colors and breathtaking blooms . Oh, and the idea of prepping for your Big Day outside in the sun ? Brilliant. See more bright ideas right here !

dynamic gold tour issue onyx

From Lena Kozhina … When we met with the couple for the first time, we immediately paid attention to Dima’s behavior towards Julia. There was a feeling of tenderness and awe, and we immediately wanted to recreate this atmosphere of love, care and warmth on their Big Day.

Later, when we had chosen a green meadow and an uncovered pavilion overlooking a lake as the project site, it only highlighted a light summer mood with colorful florals and a great number of natural woods. The name of the site is Fox Lodge and peach-orange color, as one of the Bride’s favorites, set the tone for the whole design – from the invitations, in which we used images of fox cubs to elements of serving guest tables and other decorative elements with the corresponding bright accents.
