Snoop Dogg is headed back to the Sacramento area. Here’s when tickets go on sale

Snoop Dogg is returning to the Sacramento area later this year — and he’ll be taking the stage at Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

The 16-time Grammy Award-nominated rapper performed in concert in downtown Sacrament o about a year ago, joining Wiz Khalifa and other hip hop artists on the H.S. Reunion Tour.

Snoop Dogg will perform at The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln on Friday, Dec. 27, the resort announced.

The platinum-selling rapper is set to release his new studio album , “Missionary,” in November.

“We are thrilled” to welcome Snoop Dogg to the casino resort, which is a 30-minute drive from Sacramento, Dawn Clayton, Thunder Valley general manager, said in a Tuesday news release. “We are confident this will be an unforgettable show.”

How to get tickets to Snoop Dogg concert

Tickets for Snoop Dogg’s concert go on sale online for the general public at 10 a.m. Friday.

However, if you’re a rewards member at the casino, you can exclusively get tickets at the casino’s box office at 10 a.m. Thursday.

It wasn’t clear Wednesday morning how much those tickets will cost.

Thunder Valley Casino is located at 1200 Athens Ave. in Lincoln.

Who else is playing at Thunder Valley Casino?

The casino will host concerts from a variety of genres over the rest of the year.

Stolen snoop dogg bobblehead returned safely to kentucky country club.

A country club's iconic celebrity bobble head made a safe return after being stolen last week.

"The Grill at Maywood," a restaurant in Bardstown, shared surveillance photos from last Monday of two men stealing a 3-foot bobblehead of Snoop Dogg.

The restaurant said the men were on a bourbon tour and did not play golf at the club. The restaurant was not able to determine the name on the card that was used for the meal.

The car that the people were driving had an Ohio license plate. The Grill said the men waited for the servers to go into the kitchen before they stole the bobblehead.

In an update Wednesday, the country club said the bobble head made a safe return, even wrapped in bubble wrap.

Tragic Details About Snoop Dogg's Four Children

Snoop Dogg may be one of the best-known rappers of all time, but that's not the title he values most. Snoop views his kids as his most important legacy. "My relationship with my kids is more important than anything," he told Today in 2015. The rap legend, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., wants his three sons, Corde, Cordell, and Julian Broadus, and his daughter, Cori Broadus, to know that he will always be there for them, no matter what. "It's a friendship relationship," he said.

Despite his best efforts, the "Drop It Like It's Hot" singer wasn't able to protect his brood from tragedies and circumstances beyond his control. Snoop's daughter lives with a serious medical condition , which he couldn't prevent. Even though Snoop and his wife, Shante Broadus , did what they could to keep Cori from feeling singled out because of her lupus diagnosis in childhood, they still couldn't control how the lifelong illness would affect her mental health.

Snoop also could do nothing to keep Corde from experiencing the devastating pain of losing his baby son after he was born with a health condition. On the other hand, he could arguably have done more to make Julian, who was born to a different mother, feel more included in his nuclear family. He could also perhaps have communicated to Cordell that he didn't have to pursue sports to earn his love. He did his best, but being a music icon didn't protect his four children from traumatic life experiences.

Cori Broadus has struggled with health issues her whole life

In 20006, Cori Broadus, then just 6, was diagnosed with lupus, an inflammatory autoimmune disease that can affect different organs and cause an array of symptoms. In her case, one of the consequences was hair loss. "I would put a scarf on her," Shante Broadus told W magazine 2021. "And so she wouldn't feel like she was the only one wearing scarves, we all wore scarves with her to make her feel less alone." Cori's condition served as inspiration for Snoop Dogg and Shante's headwear like, The Broadus Collection.

There is no cure for lupus, but Cori got her symptoms under control by undergoing a series of lifestyle changes. That included taking a holistic approach and taking a step back from heavy medications. "I'm just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas," she told People in 2023. "I started working out, drinking lots of water." In just a few months, she noticed a difference. "I've been good, better than I've ever been," she said.

But Cori experienced another health blow in January 2024, when she suffered a stroke. She was hospitalized for days as she suffered from kidney issues. She was released when her CT scans showed no abnormal results. "I'm going home today I can [probably] cry omgggg," she wrote in an Instagram Story (via Los Angeles Times ). Cori didn't say what caused the stroke, but lupus patients are eight times more susceptible, according to WebMD .

Cori Broadus' struggles had serious consequences for her mental health

When she learned about her stroke, Cori Broadus had a hard time believing she had to face yet another health battle. "I'm only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this?" she wrote in an Instagram Story (via Today ). Broadus' lifelong struggles with lupus and its consequences have taken a toll. And it started early. "My childhood literally got taken away from me in a snap of a finger," she said in an Instagram video.

It wasn't just the painful symptoms that negatively affected her life. The treatments with steroids caused her to gain weight, leading to self-image issues. She also suspects that all the long-term medication she took altered how her body functioned. "I've always been sad, I've always been depressed because I just felt like I have been through a lot," she said in a 2021 Instagram video.

As a kid, Broadus also struggled to understand why her brothers got to live normal, pain-free lives when she didn't. "I'm not saying I wish they had it, but why me?" she wondered. A day before the video, Broadus had revealed in a post that she had attempted suicide. "The last few weeks my mental has not been so great at one point I tried to end my life but you & my family really give me a purpose to live," she captioned a carousel of herself enjoying an outdoor date with fiancé Wayne Duece.

Corde Broadus lost his newborn son

Corde Broadus welcomed his third child, a son named Kai, on September 15, 2019. But the baby, his second with his wife Soraya Love, died 10 days later. "My Son Kai brought so much love and positivity into this world," Corde penned in an Instagram post (via People ). "His energy will live on and these 10 days of love will always be special to us. Let's all cherish life and those we love while we are here." He paired the message with a video of his and Soraya's then-1-year-old daughter, Elleven, kissing her baby brother goodbye.

Corde shared another tribute to Kai two days later in which he shared that Kai died in his arms. "My son did all he needed to do in his 10 days here on earth ... He has now graduated and continuing to do work," he wrote in the since-deleted post (via CBS News ). The couple continues to honor their son, who was born with a congenital heart disease, through a foundation they founded in his name. "I started Kai Heart Foundation after Kai passed to HONOR the wisdom he gifted me on overall HEART health," Love wrote on Instagram .

Corde and Soraya raise funds for different children-related causes. Soraya also hopes to teach her children the importance of giving back to the community. "God blessed us so we can bless those in return," she wrote in a post . In February 2021, Corde and Soraya welcomed another son, Sky.

Julian Broadus felt excluded from Snoop Dogg's life

Snoop Dogg welcomed Julian Broadus with Laurie Holmond in June 1998, exactly a year after he tied the knot with Shante Broadus. That makes Julian a year younger than Snoop and Shante's second son, Cordell, and a year older than their daughter, Cori. But being a son from a different relationship, and one that happened within Snoop's marriage at that, Julian wasn't raised close with his half-siblings or his father.

That's not what Julian would have wanted for himself. When Snoop and his family starred on E!'s "Snoop Dogg's Father Hood" in 2007, he felt excluded. "I'd like to be on the show so I can learn more about my family," he told Star magazine (via HNHH ). "It would be great if we could just hang out with each other. I think we can get there one day." Even if he didn't have the relationship he wanted with Snoop and his kids growing up, Julian became closer to the family as time went on.

In early 2018, Julian celebrated his father's influence in his life. "Paved the way so i can do anything i wanted," he captioned an Instagram photo of Snoop holding him as a baby. In 2021, he also posted pictures with Snoop, Corde, and one of his nephews to Instagram . In the second picture, he is featured holding the baby in his lap next to his father, showing he even has a relationship with the newest Broadus generation.

Cordell Broadus pursued a football career to please Snoop Dogg

Cordell Broadus showed a talent for football in high school, a sport he continued to play in college. In 2015, he joined the UCLA Bruins as one of the country's best receivers. Snoop Dogg, a USC fan, was excited his son was pursuing football. He didn't even care that he was going to represent his team's rival. "I'm going to back him up 1,000 percent. I'm throwing all my USC drawers away," he told ESPN (via New York Post ). "I'm going UCLA 1,000 percent."

Later, Broadus saw that his father's excitement had too big of a role in his decision. "I played football for my father because I thought that was the only way he would love me & be a part of my life," he explained in a 2015 Instagram post. With time and maturity, he came to see that wasn't true. Just six months after signing with UCLA, Broadus quit the team to pursue a career in fashion and filmmaking. That the prospects proved harder than anticipated.

"I thought it would be easy to come up with ideas and execute your vision, but it's been the complete opposite," he told WWD in 2020. "Four long years went by." He went back to football, but his heart wasn't in it. He quit again in 2016 and didn't look back. "It took me 12 years to realize [Dad] loves Cordell Broadus the person not Cordell Broadus the football player," he wrote.

Kate Middleton and Prince William Reveal Their End-of-Summer Plans

Kate Middleton and Prince William have been on summer break since mid-July, but William is planning his return to work on Friday, September 5. On Wednesday, they shared that their plans for the final week of summer include catching some events from the 2024 Paris Summer Paralympics in a post to their social media accounts wishing luck to the members of Team Great Britain.

“Looking forward to another few weeks of incredible sport!” they said in a post signed W and C, indicating that they sent it personally. “Wishing the very best of luck to our @ParalympicsGB athletes and all those competing at #Paris2024.”

Though this summer’s Olympic and Paralympic Games are taking place across the English Channel, neither William or Kate traveled to see Team GB compete during the two weeks of Olympic Games. Instead, the royals were represented by Princess Anne, a former Olympian and member of the International Olympics Committee since 1988, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, a patron of British Cycling who was in the stands when the women’s sprint cycling team took home a gold medal. But as the games came to a close earlier this month, William (sporting a vacation beard) and Kate j oined Snoop Dogg and David Beckham in a video congratulating Team GB on their successes.

Over the weekend , the couple were photographed on their way to Crathie Kirk, the parish church closest to the Balmoral Castle, where the family is visiting with King Charles III and Queen Camilla. But next week, William will make his return to royal duties to attend an event for Homelessness: Reframed , an art show at the Saatchi Gallery organized by his charity, Homewards.

The royals will be represented at the Paralympic Games by Sophie’s husband, Prince Edward, who has been patron of the British Paralympic Association since 2003. To mark the beginning of competition on Thursday, the prince released a statement wishing luck to Team GB’s competitors.

“To all members of the Paralympics GB team heading for Paris, whether athletes, officials or staff, I want to wish you the very best of luck at the Paralympic Games,” it read . “Particular congratulations to all athletes on being selected: you now have the chance to compete against the very best in the world and, indeed, to win. More importantly, we want you to go out there to achieve your best, to make us proud and to inspire the next generation.”

The overall show was 5.5 hours so it was good value from that perspective. Kudos to the long line-up. I've seen Snoop perform about 10 times. The good thing is that his overall stage presence was fairly long and he touched on many songs, albums and artists and he made a decent effort. The bad part is that he shortens all the songs by about half, to ensure he can cover more songs (which I think is fine), but also speeds the bpm of songs which makes them a bit disorienting to those that know the songs and lyrics. I didn't love the dancing girls personally but that is a matter of taste. Wow, since he stopped wearing Adidas, his wardrobe style ranking has sure dropped a quite a few levels! ; )

Show was great whole way thur cant wait till next show see you again what day I can remember is I saw you come through with a Letterman's jacket on and then you walk over to the side and you took it off in like a white tent and you came out on stage in the sweat suitthat CUZZ I was like oh my God he's going to be so hot and then I watched the whole way the whole show and I was like this dude didn't sweat at least one time LOL great show please come again.

Well, it was great to see him do so many hits, (and I actually really admired the athleticism of the 2 pole dancers on the stage). However, it really felt like he was phoning it in. The show was 1 long medley. I don't think he performed 1 song from beginning to end, and there was definitely a lack of energy on the stage. But, ya know what? My friend and I agreed; if anyone has earned the right to do that, it's him at this point in his career. Now, if I had paid $150 or $300 I would've been pissed and felt ripped off. But the for the $60 I paid, it was fine. We enjoyed the show, and I always enjoy going to the Concord in Chicago - it's a great venue: best acoustics anywhere, plenty of elbow room even for sold out shows, and plenty of bars with little or no waiting.

Snoop Dogg has announced the rescheduled 2023 dates for his ‘I Wanna Thank Me’ UK and Ireland tour. The hip-hop icon will kick off the arena jaunt at Belfast’s SSE Arena on March 14, followed by dates in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Dublin, Leeds, and Birmingham.

Snoop will be joined by his peers and collaborators Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound, Obie Trice and D12. Irish rap duo Versatile are also hitting the road with the icons of the West Coast scene.

Meanwhile, Snoop and Dr. Dre have collaborated on a new album called “Missionary.” The hip-hop idols have teamed up on their first new music in three decades.

It takes two: exploring elvis costello’s collaborative albums.

He spilled in October: “Me and Dr. Dre have been working on an album for the past two months.”

Asked about the sex position moniker, he replied: “The first album was ‘Doggystyle’…”

The album title confirmation comes after Eminem shared a snap in the studio with the pair in September and captioned it: “Just a few bros…hangin out.”

Snoop and Dre reunited earlier this year for an epic performance at the Super Bowl halftime show – along with Eminem , Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar . And following whispers that the pair were in the studio, Snoop told Entertainment Tonight : “We’re cooking up a little something. I don’t wanna talk about it too much, but we’re back together again.

“It’s been 30 years since we worked on a record, and we’re doin’ something, we’re workin’ on something.”

Snoop shot to fame in 1992 when he featured on Dre’s debut solo single, “Deep Cover” and his solo LP The Chronic .

Earlier this year, Snoop bought Death Row Records, the label that launched his career. The rapper – whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr – acquired the company from MNRK Music Group for an undisclosed sum.

The 51-year-old megastar said in February: “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value. “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me.”

Snoop Dogg’s UK and Ireland 2023 dates are:

March 14 – Belfast, SSE Arena March 15 – Manchester, AO Arena March 16 – Glasgow, SEC Hydro March 21 – London, O2 Arena March 26 – Dublin, 3Arena March 27 – Leeds, First Direct Arena.

This year’s senior superlative for “Most likely to go on a co-headlining tour” goes to Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Too $hort, Warren G, Berner and DJ Drama .

From July 7 through Aug. 27, the hip-hop icons are taking off on their 33-concert ‘High School Reunion Tour’ that will take them to arenas and amphitheaters all over North America.

That includes three stops in New York and New Jersey.

First, the sextet will drop it like it’s hot at Camden, NJ’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on July 30. Then, “The Next Episode” will take place at Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on Aug. 2.

Finally, Snoop, Wiz and co. will land at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Aug. 4.

Snoop isn’t the only artist staying active on the ‘High School Reunion Tour.’

Earlier this year, Khalifa dropped “Star Power,” his ninth studio album.

Over the course of 23 tracks, the 35-year-old reckons with fame, freestyles over 8-bit and soul samples and adds a few bangers to his rap repertoire in the process.

American rapper and West Coast legend, Snoop Dogg will be making his presence felt in the UK once again as he announces a seven-date tour for March 2023, as part of his rescheduled UK and Ireland tour.

The long-time king of rap royalty was forced to cancel previous UK dates for 2022 due to "unforeseen scheduling conflicts, including family obligations and upcoming tv and film projects."

His newly announced tour dates form part of the rescheduled dates which will see Snoop and support acts including Warren G, D-12, Versatile, The Dogg Pound, Obie Trice, and Xzibit crew play to over 20,000 fans at that Manchester AO Arena on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Original tickets remain valid but fans can also join the pre-sale waiting list here and pre-sale tickets will go live at 9am on Thursday, December 22 via Ticketek and Ticketmaster . General sale tickets will launch at 12pm the same day.

This year, Snoop Dogg has been busy with the formation of the supergroup Mount Westmore with fellow rap stars E-40, Too Short, and Ice Cube. The hip-hop veterans showed that they are very much still at the top of their game with the release of their debut album 'Snoop, Cube, 40, $hort'.

The rapper also collaborated with DJ Drama on the album Gangsta Grillz: I Still Got It' as well as releasing 'Snoop Dog Presents Death Row Summer 2022', two 'NFT Drop' albums and his latest LP, 'BODR'.

As one of the best-known figures from the gangsta rap era of the 1990s, Snoop and his music have long been considered the epitome of West Coast hip-hop culture.

With many fans still loyal to him since his early days and a new generation of hip-hop devotees keen to hear more, tickets are likely to sell out quickly for his only dates in the UK for 2023.

Today, entertainment icon and rapper Snoop Dogg announces High School Reunion Tour with Wiz Khalifa, Too $hort, Warren G, and Berner featuring special guest DJ Drama. Produced by Live Nation, the massive 33-city tour kicks off on Friday July 7 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver making stops across the U.S. in Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston and more before wrapping up in Irvine at FivePoint Amphitheatre on Saturday August 27.
