We have extended the duration our usual day trip to Longleat and now include their All-Inclusive entry ticket, giving access to ALL the fabulous attractions that it has to offer.  A great day out - we include a tour of the famous Safari Park on our own coach, then you have the remainder of the day to enjoy the Adveture Park, Gardens, Maze, Sea Lion lake cruise, Steam train ride and so much more ... We stay for 7 hours so you can make the most of your ALL-INCLUSIVE Ticket.  Terrific value and an action packed day for all the family!

Depart from Chickerell 07:30 - Portland 08:00 - Weymouth 08:30 - Dorchester 09:00 Arrive Longleat 11:00 - collect your ALL INCLUSIVE entry tickets. We commence our Safari Drive at 11:15, with a stop for refreshments at The African Village (45 mins) Safari Drive 12:00 to 14:00 approx. with commentary of the animals. Arrive at the coach park by Longleat House about 14:15 with the remainder of the afternoon free to enjoy all the other attractions. Park closes at 18:00 - our coach leaves at 18:15 Return to Dorchester 20:00 - Weymouth 20:30 - Portland 20:50 - Chickerell 21:10 Timings may be subject to change depending on traffic particularly in the safari park.

Longleat Safari and Adventure Park is one of the UK’s best-loved attractions. It features an extensive Safari Park and has over 16 attractions, including the Capability Brown landscaped grounds. Stroll at your own pace through the Main Square, jump on board the Longleat Railway, or take a trip on the Jungle Cruise. Don’t miss the attraction Koala Creek. These adorable Koalas made the trip from down under with a pair of Southern hairy-nosed wombats! Lastly, finish the day experiencing the majesty of the animals moving freely across hundreds of acres; including zebra, giraffe, tigers, rhino, flamingo, cheetah and of course, the lions. Drive amongst them from the comfort of your seat on the coach.

Please Note: The use of scooters is prohibited throughout the Longleat Estate.

The coach will be taking an alternative route through the safari park which is designed to allow vehicles to by-pass the monkey enclosure and viewing points are provided.

The enthusiastic keepers offer daily talks so you can get a real insight to how the park is run and how they look after the primates.

Edinburgh Zoo Edinburgh Zoo is set in over 82 acres of wooded hillside and has over 2,500 amazing and endangered animals. Home to the world-famous Giant Pandas, Tian Tian and Yang Guang, this wildlife attraction has lots to keep the family entertained. Don’t miss out on Europe’s largest outdoor penguin pool and the daily Penguin Parade, a must for all visitors.  Edinburgh Zoo is involved in many programmes, such as captive breeding of endangered animals, research into animal behaviour, and many conservation projects around the world.

Twycross Zoo Twycross Zoo is not just a Zoo which all the family can enjoy, but also an award-winning conservation charity. Based in the heart of England and with more than 80 acres of land, Twycross is home to about 500 animals, many of which are endangered. There are around 100 different species of animals including the UK’s only group of Bonobos.

ZSL London Zoo ZSL London Zoo is the world's oldest scientific zoo, originally opened April 1828 for scientific study, it was later opened for the public to enjoy. This great attraction has over 750 animal species to discover, live demonstrations and great exhibits such as Land of the Lions.

Popular Safari Parks to visit by coach

Longleat Safari & Adventure Park Longleat is home to the UK’s first safari park, set in magnificent grounds, it has an abundance of attractions for families to enjoy. Drive through the six and a half miles safari expedition and keep your eyes peeled for majestic lions and playful monkeys. Take a trip on the Longleat Railway or hop on a Jungle Cruise to see a band of lowland gorilla, hippos and sea lions.

West Midland Safari & Leisure Park West Midland Safari Park is located in Worcestershire, the Heart of England. It provides the ultimate drive-through safari experience, over four miles long, getting you up close to the animals. The Park was open in spring 1973, by the famous actress Sophia Loren and is home to over 165 different species including cheetah, elephants and rhinos. This great visitor attraction is also home to a variety of other attractions such as the largest animatronic dinosaur exhibit in the UK and a theme park.

Visiting Longleat Safari Park by Coach in 2022

Longleat Safari Park is one of the favourite coach group destinations for schools, tours, and private groups. The Park is a 900-acre parkland located in South West England. The park first opened in 1966 and was the first safari drive-through to be opened outside of Africa. Over the year's Longleat has grown to be the UK's best safari Park not only because of their amazing animal collection but because of their fun family orientated exhibitions and live events.

Animals you can expect to see at Longleat

African Lion

The African Lion lives in groups called prides and they generally stay in grassy plains or savannahs. African Lions are now extinct in the North of Africa however you will have a rare opportunity to see Lions close up at Longleat Safari Park.

You will have an amazing chance come face to face with Giraffes at Longleat. The park offers one to one feeding for visitors to take part in. The Giraffe is a mammal that originates from Africa, it is currently considered the tallest living terrestrial animal.

Western Lowland Gorilla

Originally found in places such as Cameroon, Central African, and Congo the Gorilla is the largest in the Ape family and is now dangerously endangered. Longleat has a troop of five Lowland Gorillas which are cared for and protected by the Safari staff to ensure we still have a Gorilla population.

Longleat homed the second oldest Gorilla in the world until recently when they sadly discovered he had died during his sleep. The Gorilla was named Nico and still holds lots of memories for the park and staff.

Chilean Flamingo

At Longleat Park, you will find the Chilean Flamingo which is originally from South American territories. These beautiful pink birds will be naturally on display near the wetlands and provide a great opportunity to get the camera out for a photo.

Koala bears

Longleat cares for the only two southern male Koala bear outside of Australia. Due to unpredicted weather and diseases, there is only 100,000 Koala alive. Longleat is encouraging protection and breeding programs for the Koala bears.

Attractions At Longleat Safari Park for Coach Hire Groups

Mazed hedge.

The Mazed hedge is a truly amazing attraction at Longleat Park. Built with 16,000 English yew trees it is the biggest maze in England. The maze offers a great opportunity for group teamwork and fun coordination to complete the task of finding the middle.

Longleat Railway

The Park offers a fun way for groups to view the estate grounds which hold some fabulous scenic views.

Reptile Park

In the Reptile park, you will be able to access the Handling Hall which is only for the strong-hearted if you are comfortable with holding tarantula's and stroking snakes this will be perfect for you.

Jungle Cruise

The Jungle cruise allows you to take a journey across the lake to see the Gorilla Island, feed sea lions, and spot hippos. The cruise is a fun activity to take up when visiting Longleat Safari Park.

Thursday 14 November

A full day at Longleat, our ticket includes a drive through the Safari Park, entrance to the Gardens, jungle cruise, jungle kingdom. On the Safari, you travel through the Deer Park, Wolf Wood, Tiger Territory and Lion Country. We then enjoy the wonderful Festival of Light, a must-see fiesta of magnificent Chinese lanterns, beaming with colour and fascinating structures. There are plenty of food outlets for you to purchase some dinner.

Friday 15 November

After a full English breakfast we have time in the beautiful Roman City of Bath, with plenty of time to shop or sightsee. There are so many places to visit - the Abbey, the Roman Baths and Pump Room (entrance tickets required), the Royal Crescent or Sally Lunn's for a famous Bun. Don't forget there is plenty of room in the coach for all your purchases -In the afternoon we return home to Devon.

A fascinating short break, packed with wonderful things to enjoy and discover with a visit to one of Britain’s finest Elizabethan Houses, and Longleat’s Safari Park with fabulous 900-acre estate.

DAY ONE – Bicester Outlet Village and Arrival

Today we depart from your home area travelling to Oxfordshire and the Bicester Outlet Village. Here you will find an amazing range of shops, many offering luxury goods at bargain prices. There are many opportunities for a drink and bite to eat before we continue to our hotel, where tea/coffee and a biscuit can be enjoyed whilst your luggage is being taken to your room.

DAY TWO – Longleat House & Safari Park

This morning we head for Longleat House and Safari Park. First on the itinerary this morning is the coach driving us through the Safari Park to discover some of the stars of TV’s ‘Animal Park’ in the world-famous Safari Park.  Time to meet from furry, scaly and fethery friends to snoozing Southern koalas to snapping Cuban crocodiles, see how many animals you can spot on the Safari!!  We then have time to wander around the House, Britain’s most astonishing ~Stately Homes.  It was in 1949, Longleat House became one of the first privately owned stately homes to open to the public commercially. Today it is the home of the 8 th Marquess and Marchioness of Bath.  This is a house rich in history with one of the finest private collections in Britain, a real treat for you. A fascinating day.

DAY THREE – Departure & Stratford-Upon-Avon

After breakfast, we make our way to Shakespeare country - Stratford-Upon-Avon. We make a short photo stop at Anne Hathaway's idyllic cottage – the home of Shakespeare's wife, before we go into the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon.  Here we will have some free time to explore this lovely town. Perhaps take a short cruise along the River to take in the many sights and hear some of the history before we start our journey home.

DOUBLETREE BY HILTON, SWINDON

Our base for this short break is the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Swindon. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the town. Features of the hotel are Minsky’s Restaurant and Bar & Café Cino. Hotel facilities All bedrooms are ensuite and have satellite television, radio, hairdryer & tea/coffee making facilities. There are lifts to all floors.
