Two Another

Two Another are Eliot Porter and Angus Campbell , a musical duo originating from Sydney, Australia. Their kaleidoscopic mix of Electronic, Alternate RnB, Indie Pop and Soul has been heard across the globe since joining forces in 2015, amassing a following of over 1.8 million monthly listeners and over 400 million streams to date, with tour dates spanning across Europe, the Americas, the UK and back home in Australia. 

Now based in Europe, the band’s global origin story lies under the Australian sun with Eliot and Angus meeting in their high school music program where they were taught audio production by hometown dance-music-icons Bag Raiders . The pair quickly bonded over a mutual love of D’Angelo, Daft Punk and Danger Mouse. “Growing up in that golden era of indie, Ed Banger and French Touch, we shared a love of 90s electronica, dance and hip hop, and our parent’s Motown records,” says Angus, “There was a lot to be inspired by.”

The duo’s recordings have since gone on to achieve significant success, accumulating hundreds of millions of streams of their EPs ‘Another Tape ‘ and ‘Two Sides’ , followed by their debut album ‘Back To Us’. WASHINGTON – Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, dropped in on a high school band practice Wednesday as part of a two-day bus tour through southeast Georgia, a critical battleground state that Democrats just narrowly won four years ago.

Harris and Walz paid a visit to Liberty County High School in Hinesville, listening to the marching band perform its school fight song and delivering brief remarks to students and faculty on the first day of their Georgia swing, which will culminate in a rally in Savannah on Thursday night.

“We’re so proud of you and we’re counting on you," Harris told the students, some shrieking with excitement at the sight of the vice president. "Your generation … is what is going to propel our country into the next era of what we can do and what we can be.”

Harris told the students that she, too, played in the band — an aide said the vice president had played the French horn, xylophone and kettle drums.

The visit is part of a two-pronged strategy by the Harris-Walz campaign to make inroads in GOP strongholds and to use smaller, more intimate settings to showcase a softer side of the ticket — which is still relatively unknown by the electorate. Campaign officials believe that in order to beat Republican Donald Trump in the state, they will need more than Atlanta and the suburbs that delivered for Joe Biden in 2020.

Harris campaign communications director Michael Tyler said bus tours offer an "opportunity to get to places we don’t usually go (and) make sure we’re competing in all communities.”

The campaign wants the events to motivate voters in GOP-leaning areas who don’t traditionally see the candidates, and hopes that the engagements drive viral moments that cut through crowded media coverage to reach voters across the country.

Harris and Walz also stopped at Sandfly, a barbecue restaurant outside Savannah, where some of the patrons were teachers. One thanked Walz, a former high school teacher himself.

Tyler said the campaign’s strategy of using informal engagements to reach voters has been consistent from when President Biden was on the ticket, but the nature of the events has shifted along with the candidates. During a bus tour in western Pennsylvania, for example, they stopped at a football practice — Walz is a former assistant high school football coach.

Walz met Harris on the tarmac in Savannah, and the two greeted students from Savannah State University before setting off in their bright blue bus with “Harris Walz” emblazoned in big letters on the side, along with the phrase “A New Way Forward.”

It looks like a regular campaign bus, but this one is an armored U.S. Secret Service vehicle driven by agents that comes with lights and sirens and secure communications. After the first stop, Harris shifted back to her traditional SUV, the bus relegated to the back of the motorcade.

Harris and Walz are also sitting down with CNN anchor Dana Bash for their first joint interview. The interview will air Thursday night.

The Democratic strategy to peel off votes in Republican parts of the state has had some success before. Raphael Warnock, Georgia’s first Black senator, won reelection in 2022 by nearly 3 percentage points — while Biden carried Georgia by only a quarter percentage point about two years earlier — in part by venturing into the deepest red areas. The operatives involved in Warnock's win are now on Harris’ campaign team.

The Georgia trip is a makeup visit from earlier in the month, when the duo was set to embark on a seven-state swing tour introducing the new Democratic ticket . The North Carolina and Georgia legs of the trip got scrapped as Tropical Storm Debby battered the region.

The easygoing stops were a contrast to a bakery visit last week by Trump's running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance in Valdosta, Georgia, where he struggled to banter with employees while buying doughnuts and one worker asked to be kept off camera.

During an NBC interview Tuesday, Vance said that he felt terrible for the worker.

“We walked in, and there’s 20 Secret Service agents, and there’s 15 cameras, and she clearly had not been properly warned, and she was terrified, right? I just felt awful for her.”

Vance also said Wednesday that he was among those who spoke with Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp after Trump's blistering attacks against him at a rally in the state just a few weeks ago. Trump blamed the governor for his narrow 2020 loss in the state, railed against Kemp for not giving in to his false theories of election fraud and attributed his legal problems in the state to Kemp's not stepping in to stop a local district attorney from prosecuting him .

"I encouraged him to support the president, and he didn’t take much persuasion. He wanted to support the president because he thinks Kamala Harris is going to be a disaster,” Vance said.

Trump changed his tune last week, thanking the governor in a social media post for all his “help and support in Georgia, where a win is so important to the success of our Party and, most importantly, our Country.”

On the eve of Harris’ visit, Kemp told Fox News that Republicans "need to be telling people why they should vote for us, what we’re going to do to make things better than they are right now. And there’s a host of issues that I think you could contrast Kamala Harris and her record."

“To me, that’s what we need to stay focused on, not some dustup from two or three weeks ago," he said.

Meanwhile, the Harris campaign launched a new ad across the battleground states, seeking to tie Trump to the conservative “Project 2025."

The first ad asserts that Trump is “out for control” over voters, juxtaposing Trump quotes with ominous screenshots of the plan. It’s part of Harris’ $370 million in digital and television ad reservations between Labor Day and Election Day.

Led by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, Project 2025 is a detailed 920-page handbook for governing under the next Republican administration, including ousting thousands of civil servants and replacing them with Trump loyalists and reversing the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of medications used in abortions.

Trump has tried to distance himself from Project 2025, though it was drafted by longtime allies and former officials of the Trump administration. Last month, he posted on social media that he had not seen the plan, had “no idea who is in charge of it, and, unlike our very well received Republican Platform, had nothing to do with it.”

Scottie Scheffler gets another two-shot edge in Tour Championship. Can he capitalize this time?

ATLANTA – Scottie Scheffler, who carries a plus-7 handicap, says he might have to give as many as 20 shots to some of his regular pals when he plays at home in Dallas. And, yet, he still doesn’t have to pay out very often.

“I probably don’t lose too many times,” he said, grinning sheepishly.

Incredible to think, then, that the No. 1 player in the world by a wide margin is GETTING shots on the field at this week’s Tour Championship for the third year in a row and hasn’t yet captured the season-long FedEx Cup title on the PGA Tour.

That just sounds messed up. Actually, that just sounds like golf.

Six times a winner on the PGA Tour this season, including the Masters, and also the Olympic gold medalist, Scheffler has to think that the third time is absolutely positively the charm at East Lake Golf Club. The season finale features a staggered-start format that gives the FedEx Cup points leader a two-shot lead over his nearest pursuer when the event begins Thursday.

Two shots over two-time major champion Xander Schauffele isn’t much over 72 holes, but it’s still two shots, and Scheffler has been doing just fine against his professional peers starting out even. Asked if there wasn’t just a small part of him that would welcome trailing for once instead of carrying the pressure of the lead yet again, Scheffler couldn’t say no fast enough.

“Absolutely not. Absolutely not. I want every stroke that I can get this week,” said Scheffler, who fell all the way to sixth last year when Viktor Hovland won the big prize, and finished second the year prior to Rory McIlroy. “I've experienced it on the other side, and I would much rather start a tournament with a lead than start it behind. It's as simple as that.”

It’s probably worth mentioning that Scheffler led McIlroy by six strokes heading into the final round in the 2022 Tour Championship. So a measly two strokes isn’t a very secure lead with 72 holes in the offing. In fact, it doesn’t seem right after the outstanding season the 28-year-old Texan has assembled, but this is the format and he’ll take his two strokes and run with them.

Which might be a strategy he should consider. Scheffler said he doesn’t approach this event any differently than any other, but there is no tournament that assigns a score to every player before the first tee ball is put in play. And there is no tournament that awards $25 million to the champion. Everyone is gunning for him.

How does Scheffler intend to flip the script this time? Math. “More birdies than bogeys typically helps low scores,” he deadpanned.

“At the end of the day, golf is golf,” he added. “The easiest way to solve an issue that you don't like in the game of golf is to play better. That's really all it comes down to in our game. At the end of the day, if you play good enough golf, it will take care of itself.”

Scheffler has played good enough to again be the frontrunner in the tour’s season finale. Now he has to reward himself by staying there. So, no, he isn’t giving those two shots back to the field. His buddies back home understand.

“It's funny,” Scheffler said. “I feel like a lot of times you get asked in the tournament halfway point like at a major when the cut happens, and it happened at the Olympics and some people were asking, ‘Well, do you like the position you're in kind of being the chaser?’ I was like, ‘No, I want to be winning.’

“You know, this is the best opportunity that I'll have in my career probably to win a golf tournament. I'm starting two strokes ahead of second place. That's a pretty cool place to be, really.”

Yeah, but not as cool as being there at the end.

1 tourist dead, 2 missing in iceland ice cave collapse.

Icelandic authorities searched Monday for two tourists missing since an ice cave partially collapsed the previous afternoon, killing one person and injuring another.

The search, which was suspended overnight when conditions made it too dangerous to continue, resumed at about 7 a.m., Icelandic broadcaster RUV reported. Up to 60 researchers are already on the scene, with more expected to arrive throughout the day, RUV said.

Local police said a group of 25 tourists from several countries were exploring an ice cave at the Breidamerkurjokull glacier in southeastern Iceland when the incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday. Four people were struck by falling ice, with one dying at the scene and another flown to the hospital by helicopter.

Ice caves are a popular destination for visitors to Iceland, with tour operators offering customers the chance to “explore the insides of glaciers” and see the blue color and “stunning patterns” in the ice.

Glaciers cover about 11% of the territory of Iceland, an island nation in the north Atlantic that sits on the southern edge of the Arctic Circle. The largest is Vatnajokull, which covers 3,050 square miles. Breidamerkurjokull is a tongue of Vatnajokull that ends at the Jokulsarlon Lagoon, where icebergs constantly break off from the glacier.

Local news site Visir said the group that was at the cave during the collapse was on an organized tour accompanied by a guide. Most people were outside the cave when it collapsed, Visir reported.

Moving rescue equipment and personnel up to the glacier was difficult due to the rugged terrain, and rescuers had to cut through the ice using chain saws.

The glacier is about 185 miles from a volcano that erupted Friday on the Reykjanes Peninsula in southwestern Iceland.

1 Tourist Is Dead and 1 Injured After Ice Canyon Collapses in Iceland

Rescuers on Monday called off a search for what they initially believed were two other trapped tourists after it became clear that all the visitors were accounted for.

Rescuers in Iceland on Monday called off the search of a deadly ice canyon collapse after they determined that, contrary to initial reports, there were no other tourists trapped beneath the debris, the police said.

Dozens of rescue workers and law enforcement personnel had been combing the Breidamerkurjokull glacier after part of the narrow canyon collapsed on Sunday. Rescue workers had previously removed one seriously injured tourist and the body of another who was killed in the collapse.

“It has come to light that no one was hidden under the ice,” Logreglan a Sudurlandi, the local police force, said on Facebook .

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and another was taken by helicopter to Landspitali, the National University Hospital of Iceland, and was in stable condition, the agency said late on Sunday.

The company leading the tour group had initially reported to the police that there were 25 people on the trip, which included a walk through glacial caves and canyons.

After sifting through all of the collapsed ice and reviewing the company’s books, investigators determined there were only 23 people with the group, and 21 were uninjured, the police said.

Scott Stevens, 49, of Austin, Texas, was exploring the glacier on a separate tour with his 10-year-old daughter right before the collapse. In the aftermath, he said, it was confusing as guides scrambled to figure out who might be missing and who was safe.

“None of us knew each other,” Mr. Stevens said. “We didn’t even speak each other’s languages.”

The tour group — which Mr. Stevens and his daughter joined in the parking lot for one of the island’s popular lagoon destinations — appeared to be a mix of people with previously booked tickets and others who had spontaneously joined from the parking lot, a dynamic that made things confusing after the collapse, Mr. Stevens said.

Because there was incomplete information, the police said, their only option was to continue searching through the precarious debris field to ensure all the tourists were accounted for.

Rescue workers had been using chain saws and ice picks to chip through the ice, as the environment was too delicate to use heavy machinery.

Emergency responders received a call about 3 p.m. local time that a group of tourists with a tour guide were exploring ice caves and canyons on the glacier, when the side of an ice canyon gave way, Jon Thor Viglundsson, a spokesman for ICE-SAR, a volunteer search-and-rescue association, said on Sunday.

Mr. Stevens, who was out of the canyon and in an elevated position above the crevasse at the time of the collapse, said he heard a loud boom, and could see guides tending to a seriously injured tourist.

“It was very surreal,” Mr. Stevens said. Not long after, a tour guide gathered Mr. Stevens’ group together and said there had been a collapse, that people were injured and buried, and that one man was dead.

The glacier is part of Vatnajokull National Park, one of Europe’s largest, spread across nearly 5,460 square miles.

It was unclear on Sunday evening what tour company organized the expedition or how many guides were on the trip.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey , Breidamerkurjokull is an outlet glacier that extends from Vatnajokull, Iceland’s largest glacier, into the Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon .

Breidamerkurjokull is famous for its ice caves. The best time to visit is in winter, according to Adventures.is, an Icelandic tour operator.

Visir, an Icelandic news outlet, reported that tourism companies that have signed a contract with the national park are authorized to organize ice cave trips and glacier walks year-round, and that the park “trusts companies to assess the conditions.”

Max Homa returns to Golf Twitter, promptly claps back at guy accusing him of slow play at BMW Championship

T hursday marked Castle Pines' long-awaited return to the PGA Tour, but it was also a day for another more unexpected comeback: Max Homa is back on Twitter.

The six-time PGA Tour winner and Golf Twitter King had been taking a break from social media. But after two months—which probably felt like the two decades Castle Pines had been away for someone so used to the space—he returned with a vengeance.

Turns out, Homa was hoping the time away from the platform—his last tweet had come on Father's Day—would get him out of his slump. But with nothing better than a T-43 at the Open Championship since then and after opening the BMW Championship with a two-over-par 74, he decided to dust off the X app.

Glad to have you back, Max. But actually, Homa's official return came three minutes earlier when he responded to a posted video hinting that he was being a slow-play problem during the first round at Castle Pines. And in classic Homa fashion, he clapped back about as nicely as possible.

Nice job staying classy out there. Social media doesn't have to be a wasteland of toxic interactions! And Twitter—especially Golf Twitter—is a better and more civilized place when this guy is around.

Good luck with your golf game, Max. And with your glutes.

Lydia Ko Claims Third Major Title at AIG Women’s Open

ST ANDREWS, Scotland — It was another unbelievable moment for Lydia Ko on Sunday afternoon at the Old Course as the 27-year-old birdied the last hole at St Andrews to win her third career major at the Home of Golf.

But it was a wild day of wet, windy, cold golf that ultimately led to Ko’s triumph, one that saw the lead change hands multiple times coming down the stretch in one of the most thrilling final rounds of the 2024 LPGA Tour season.

Ko began the day three shots back of 54-hole leader Jiyai Shin at 4-under, and she made a birdie on the par-4 4th hole to move to 5-under, now within two of the lead. A Shin bogey on three saw the Republic of Korea native slip back to 6-under and share the lead with Lilia Vu. Ko was then one shot back of the pair at that point, sitting at 5-under alongside Nelly Korda.

Korda birdied the fifth hole to join the twosome at the top at 6-under, leaving Ko alone just a shot behind, but the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 stumbled with a bogey on six to drop back to 5-under. Korda rejoined Shin and Vu at 6-under with a birdie on seven, and Ko remained one back of the threesome until Shin birdied the par-4 7th hole, moving one ahead of Vu and Korda but two shots ahead of Ko.

Korda birdied nine to tie Shin at the top at 7-under, and Ko birdied the par-4 10th hole to climb to 6-under and again sit one back of the Korda-Shin duo. Korda then surged ahead to 8-under with another birdie on the 10th hole, now one shot ahead of Shin at 7-under and two shots ahead of Ko and Vu at 6-under.

A pair of Vu bogeys on 10 and 11 dropped her to 4-under, and when Shin bogeyed 11 to drop back to 6-under, Ko was now tied for second alongside Shin and two strokes back of Korda. Vu got a shot back with a birdie on 12, and then Ko made birdie on 14 to move to 7-under, now one back of Korda’s 8-under lead in solo second. But Ko bogeyed 15 to drop back to 6-under and once again sit two back of Korda.

Korda then wound up making a double bogey on the par-5 14th hole to slide back to 6-under, leaving Korda, Ko and Shin tied for the lead at the time. Vu re-entered the conversation when she rolled in a birdie putt on 14 to move to 6-under once again, and all of a sudden, it was a four-way tie at the top with four holes to play at St Andrews.

Things momentarily quieted down as rain began to fall at the Old Course, with everyone battling the elements and trying to just make pars in the challenging conditions. After a solid pair of pars on 16 and 17, Ko ultimately came to the last hole needing a birdie to post the clubhouse lead at 7-under while the other contenders worked to find birdies of their own on the last few holes. Ko easily found the fairway on 18 and giggled alongside Alexa Pano as the pair walked over the Swilcan Bridge.

She stuffed her approach shot on 18 to roughly six feet, draining the resulting birdie putt to post at 7-under overall, and Ko then headed to the practice putting green to wait out the finish.

Korda fell away with a bogey on 17, as did Shin, and it was then only Lilia Vu who had a chance to tie Ko and force a playoff on 18. She smashed her drive to just short of the green and knocked her pitch shot to within 10 feet, but Vu uncharacteristically three-putted the last and dropped back to 5-under, handing Ko a two-shot victory.

Considering she was two shots behind on the 16th tee box, it was a bit of a whirlwind finish for Ko, who couldn’t have predicted the insane outcome that ultimately led to her hoisting her third major championship trophy. But it’s a win that will go down in her personal record books as one of the most significant victories of her career, a long-awaited major title that couldn’t mean more to the now 21-time LPGA Tour winner.

“It's been a crazy past few weeks,” Ko said in her winning press conference. “Something that was too good to be true happened, and I honestly didn't think it could be any better, and here I am as the AIG Women's Open Champion this week. Obviously, being here at the Old Course at St Andrews, it makes it so much more special. I just loved being out there this week.”

Two Another

Two Another are Eliot Porter and Angus Campbell , a musical duo originating from Sydney, Australia. Their kaleidoscopic mix of Electronic, Alternate RnB, Indie Pop and Soul has been heard across the globe since joining forces in 2015, amassing a following of over 1.8 million monthly listeners and over 400 million streams to date, with tour dates spanning across Europe, the Americas, the UK and back home in Australia.

The duo’s recordings have since gone on to achieve significant success, accumulating hundreds of millions of streams of their EPs 'Another Tape ' and ‘Two Sides’ , followed by their debut album 'Back To Us'. Their versatility is evident in their remixes and collaborations with artists like Young Franco, Portugal The Man, The Magician, and Claptone. 

On stage Two Another creates an undeniable connection with any audience they are put in front of. The live band elevates the catalog, taking their grooves, musicality and vocal-driven anthems to another level.
