A really fabulous tour

We found Rodrigo’s tour so enjoyable and informative. His passion for wine and history was inspiring and we learnt so much from his talks. The tasting was generous and varied and delicious. A really fabulous tour

This tour was a real joy! Rodrigo made our experience so personal and informative, we had a great time. The journey up was spent chatting about Malaga’s history and our shared love of Scotland. At the vineyard we chatted all things wine and quizzed Rodrigo - he has all the answers. We tasted grapes and began to understand more about the history of wine production. After that we travelled to Alora to a local winery and tasted tapas and sampled 6 local wines, all were delicious. An day went spent - would 100% recommend. Thanks again Rodrigo - Olé¡

This was an amazing experience, carefully designed and curated by a passionate knowledgeable Spanish tour guide - Rodrigues. I learned so much about not only wine, but the Spanish history, soul history, ecology and farming today. Finished off by a wonderful wine tasting experience, that was relaxed and fun. If you do one excursion in Malaga, I really recommend this one, to give you a wonderful experience outside of the city. Thank you Rodrigues!

One of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Beautiful surroundings with great wine and tapas. The guide was also very sweet and made us very comfortable despite this being our first wine tour. At the end of the tour he gave us some recommended bars/restaurants, which was also much appreicated!

My wife and I took the Vineyard and winery tour in July and we couldnt recommend it highly enough. The guide Rodrigo is a lovely guy, his friend Estelle also came along on the tour and she was lovely too! Just as we arrived at the meeting point, my wife unfortunately realised she had misplaced some belongings and Rodrigo and Estelle kindly helped us to search, and they very patiently waited for us at the meeting point while we went back to the hotel to search for them. We really appreciated that. Once we got on the road we drove through the stunning landscape and our knowlegable guide explained the local history of the area and how the wine production industry came about which was facinating! You can tell he is passionate and really enthusiastic about the subject. We visited a rural vineyard and Rodrigo even provided bug spray and umbrellas to shade us from the searing July Sun. We even got to taste some of the grapes direct from the vine and learned the difference between the different types of grape. Then we went to a lovely authentic winery and tasted 6 amazing different wines along with some tasty tapas. The wine was so good we bought 2 bottles to take back with us :) Overall it was a really memorable experience due to the personable and friendly guide, as well as being educational and great fun :) Highly Recommended 5 star experience !!!

Incredible journey , incredible wine!!! You have to know Antonio and is wineyard. Mariano is the guys, very interesting trip.

I highly recommend White House Tours – 10 stars! Our very favourite tour in 2023 was with Rodrigo of White House Tours so we contacted him this year to arrange a custom group tour for 4 friends. What a special day and a special man! Rodrigo is truly knowledgeable of Spanish history, culture, and wine making and shared this knowledge freely. We had asked for a trip from Malaga to Ronda, and to include a winery in the day. He went above and beyond. He gave us options for each part of the day and advice based on his understanding of what we enjoyed last year. On the day of the tour, he adapted and even arranged a unique stop to meet an interest one of us mentioned on the drive. Rodrigo’s kindness and friendliness created a day full of special memories. Thank you!

The President and Dr. Biden are delighted to welcome members of the public to tour the White House. Public tour requests are scheduled through your Member of Congress and their Congressional Tour Coordinator. Constituents may reach your Member of Congress and Congressional Tour Coordinator through the U.S. House of Representatives Switchboard at 202-225-3121, the U.S. Senate Switchboard at 202-224-3121, or online at  www.congress.gov/members .

Consistent with prior practices, public White House tour requests must be submitted a minimum of 21 days in advance and no more than 90 days in advance of the requested tour date(s). Reservations cannot be accepted for tour dates outside this 21 – 90-day window.  

Public tours are typically available from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, excluding Federal holidays or unless otherwise noted. If your tour is confirmed, please note that you will be assigned a specific time.  All White House tours are free of charge. The White House tour schedule is subject to change, with little notice, based on inclement weather or official use.

If you are a citizen of a foreign country, please contact your embassy in Washington, D.C. for assistance in submitting a tour request.

Identification Requirements

All U.S. citizens ages 18 and older, and foreign nationals of all ages (including children), must present a valid, government-issued photo ID upon arrival for their tour. Acceptable forms of identification are below.

FOREIGN NATIONALS

• Alien Registration Card
• Permanent Resident Card
• U.S. State Department Issued Diplomatic ID Card

A U.S. driver’s license is not an acceptable form of identification for foreign nationals. No foreign-issued state IDs, foreign-issued driver’s licenses, expired passports, photocopies, other transmissions of these documents, or other forms of identification will be accepted. Individuals without acceptable identification, or whose identification does not exactly match the information previously registered, may be denied entry.

Getting Here

Use of public transportation is strongly encouraged, as there is no parking available on the White House complex and street parking is limited. The closest Metrorail stations to the White House are Federal Triangle (blue and orange lines), Metro Center (blue, orange, silver, and red lines), and McPherson Square (blue, orange, and silver lines).

The White House Tour entrance is located in Sherman Park at 15th Street NW and Alexander Hamilton Place NW. If arriving by rideshare, use the White House Visitor Center (WHVC) as the drop-off address. The WHVC is located at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20230, which is one block from the White House.

Restrooms are located at the White House Visitors Center, located at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20230. There are no restrooms available once you arrive for your tour.

Accessibility

The White House tour route is wheelchair accessible. Visitors who wish to use a White House wheelchair should notify a U.S. Secret Service officer upon arrival.

Guide animals are permitted in the White House.

Health and Safety Guidance

Guests who receive a confirmed tour reservation will be issued a White House Tour Pass ahead of their tour date containing pertinent health and safety guidance.

Know Before You Go

• Tours are self-guided and last approximately 45 minutes
• Eat a snack and stay hydrated prior to arrival.
• Dress for the weather, knowing you will be outside before your tour.
• Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
• No late arrivals are accepted.
• All guests must be previously registered via the RSVP link provided by the White House.
• Please silence your cell phone and refrain from phone calls during the tour.
• No flash photography or video recording is permitted during your tour.
• Visitors may call the 24-hour Visitors Office information line at 202-456-7041 for latest updates and information relevant to White House tours.

I’m Rodrigo and I’ve just turned 37 years old. I’ve been travelling the world since my early twenties and have lost count of the amount of places I’ve been. I’ve travelled in style in my older years and on a shoestring when I was younger. I think being thrown from culture to culture so often I subconsciously discovered how important it is to be in the company of a friend. And that has become my driving goal.

I want everyone on my tours to feel great, at ease, to learn, get the odd surprise, and most of all, fall in love with how the Spanish live. In love with our food, culture, and character.

I want to spend my life helping other people to discover the deepest treasures of Andalucía, escape the tourist areas and reaching the purest untouched areas of Southern Spain.

Here at The White Houses Tours team we are united by a passion for discovery. It was when I was working in Montserrat, Antigua & Barbuda that I realized the importance of getting involved in the most local part of everywhere you visit. Tour of the white villages of Andalusia

The province of Cadiz has its own white villages route, with 19 stops: Arcos de la Frontera , Bornos , Espera , Villamartín , Algodonales , El Gastor , Olvera , Torre Alháquime , Setenil de las Bodegas , Alcalá del Valle , Prado del Rey , El Bosque , Ubrique , Benaocaz , Villaluenga del Rosario , Grazalema , Zahara de la Sierra , Algar and Puerta Serrano . As well as the whitewashed houses, you can see archaeological sites, castles, little churches and memorable mountain landscapes. Each village has something to make the trip worthwhile: Setenil de las Bodegas has its curious cave houses built into the rocks; the white houses of Grazalema stand out against the green of the Natural Park surrounding it; Arcos de la Frontera has impressive viewing points... Depending on how much time you have, you can adapt the route to suit your interests.

Nature, local cuisine, crafts… Authenticity

Visiting the white villages also brings you to some fabulous scenery. Your trip could take you through the Serranía de Ronda , Los Alcornocales Natural Park or Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park , with ravines you would never expect to find so close to the sea. These areas are great for hiking, and you can spend the night in unique hotels and guest houses, such as a converted windmill. You can find artisanal goods (for example, Ubrique is well known for its leather workshops) and try the local cuisine with dishes made to be enjoyed at leisure, savouring every bite. For instance, the artisanal cheeses , local pastries such as buñuelos, dishes like migas or gazpacho , the traditional mollete bread rolls, or organic wine from Ronda. You can take these tours at any time, but we would recommend spring and autumn, when the temperature is milder. And a final tip for experiencing the white towns: don’t over-plan. Let things happen. Take your time discovering traditions, meeting friendly people, visiting artisan workshops, and reaching the places where everything seems perfect. It’s too good to rush!
