WATCH: Lorde and Taylor Swift perform ‘Royals’ in ‘1989’ show

MANILA, Philippines – Taylor Swift surprised her Washington, DC audience on July 14 when she brought Lorde out onto the 1989 stage.

“This artist flew 19 hours from her hometown to be here to perform for you,” Taylor hinted to the crowd, before introducing “one of her best friends in the entire world.”

The pair performed Lorde’s song, “Royals,” which, as Taylor mentioned, won Song of the Year at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

Lorde and Taylor were all smiles after the show.

Lorde is just one of many stars that Taylor has brought onstage over the course of her 1989 concert tour.

In London, models Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Martha Hunt, as well as athlete Serena Williams, joined her.

When you perform on the world's largest stages for audiences of over 60,000 strong, a guest appearance next to Taylor Swift is worth its weight in gold. The Swift Squad was mostly comprised of all the artists you’d find on your little sister’s iPod, but with her recent investments in the Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, and now Fetty Wap, Swift's friend portfolio is diversifying exponentially.

T-Swift delights in surprising her fans, and the 1989 World Tour has been filled with them. Just as much as we’re sure she’d like to soak up the spotlight herself, Taylor Swift always seems to be willing to share, making room on stage for anyone she deems worthy. Her special guest appearances range from classic country stars to Billboard champion Fetty Wap .

Here’s a list of all the people Taylor Swift has put on during her world tour.

Swiftchella 1989 - Taylor Swift festival

If you’re a massive Taylor Swift fan, then mark your calendars for the 28th October 2023 , because that’s when the Swiftchella 1989 extravaganza is happening at the McKinley Whisky Park in BGC . The clock is ticking, so you won’t want to miss it.

You can join fellow Filipino Swifties for an unforgettable evening of jamming to Taylor’s greatest hits starting at 8pm. You’ll be singing along to Shake It Off , Blank Space , and maybe even some tracks From The Vault as the Taylor’s Version album comes out the day before.

And since this event is close to the end of October, everyone’s encouraged to wear Halloween or Taylor Swift-inspired outfits to fully embrace a Coachella-like experience.

How to snag tickets

Swiftchella 1989 - how to get tickets

Snagging a ticket to this festival is unlike the harrowing experience some of us have in getting tickets for The Eras Tour. This time, you just need to fill in a form and choose between general admission (P500, ~USD8.81) and VIP (P750, ~USD13.21) tickets, which both include Swiftie-inspired drinks to try out for the night.

In line with this, take note that the festival is allowed only for guests in the age of 18 and above. Make sure to bring your valid IDs as proof.

A Taylor Swift festival for all Filipino Swifties

With all the Taylor Swift events happening in the country, the only thing missing is the queen Taylor herself. This goes to show how much heart and passion our Filipino Swifties have for our goddess, Taylor Swift.

So gather your squad and put on your best red lipstick because Swiftchella 1989 is the place to be this 28th October. It’s a night of music, memories, and everything Taylor Swift.

Don’t miss out on this epic celebration of all things Taylor!

When In Manila Search

Listen up, swifties taylor swift announces 1989 concert dates in asian countries.

Remember how it felt like last year, when Taylor Swift announced the schedule for her Red Tour ? With all the speculation and the rumors going on, many were unsure what to believe–until we heard the good news straight from Taylor in a video (where she mentioned Manila first, BTW!

Taylor has previously announced taking her 1989 tour to Manchester, London, Dublin, Ottawa, Montreal, Washington, Chicago, Vancouver, Seattle, and many other venues that are incredibly far from the Philippines.

But just today, Taylor announced that 1989 concert venues that are closer to home–Shanghai and Singapore! Tickets are on sale on June 30, 10 am.

We are feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. Last year, she announced her concert in the Philippines in the same video when she announced her tour in Singapore. Now, she’s already released details on her Singapore tour–yet there was no mention of the Philippines!

Would she even take her 1989 concert to the Philippines? Or is this announcement a foreshadowing that she will make an announcement about a concert in the Philippines soon? One thing’s for sure. Pinoy Swifties should keep an eye out for her announcement because tickets for her concert are sold out within hours or even minutes! More importantly, her concert for Shanghai and Singapore were announced only today but they go on sale on June 30–giving Singaporean and Shanghai Swifties only a few days to save up!

So, Pinoy Swifties, we may not know if or when Taylor would take her 1989 concert here. But best to save up and keep an eye out for an announcement we are hoping would come REALLY soon.

Okay. Fine. I admit. I’m a HUUUUUUUGE fan of TAYLOR SWIF T. She’s my heroine. I admire her and her music. I don’t really give a damn about the number of boyfriends she has had or will have, as long as she is happy, I support her. And seeing her perform live is a dream come true! And I wanna share with you my experience when I first saw her live last year during the RED TOUR MANILA.

Taylor Swift’s Red Tour Manila

When the RED TOUR ASIA (including Manila) was officially announced, me and my other “swiftie” friends were celebrating! We bought our concert tickets on the day it went on sale. After a couple of hours, the organizers said that it’s freakin’ sold out.  Whew! The preparation began. It’s my first time attending a major concert and I’m not just gonna be seeing someone famous, I’ll be seeing TAYLOR SWIFT!!!!!! Fortunately, Selecta Cornetto was the major sponsor of the event and they were having a promo as well. Of course I joined, not because of the TS Merchandise but because I was hoping to win the “meet & greet” pass. My collection of cornetto lids went crazy. I even pick up those I saw on the streets on the way home. Hahaha.

One early morning on May 2014, I received a text message from Cornetto saying I won a Taylor Swift bag. And I was like asdfghjkl.

I didn’t win the Meet & Greet pass but I’m thankful anyway 🙂

So this is what actually happened in the Red Tour Concert..

The big day came! We flew from Cebu to Manila with my fellow swiftie friends. It was a hot Friday(June 6, 2014)afternoon when we arrived at NAIA Terminal 4 via Air Asia. Our plane parked beside the official airplane of Taylor Swift’s RED TOUR ASIA by Air Asia. We felt more exciteeeeed!!!

Taylor Swift Red Tour Manila – Laagan Kaayo

After we got out of the airport, we checked-in at a small dorm near the concert venue then ready our outfits and banners! I really had fun though.

Taylor Swift Red Tour Manila – Laagan Kaayo

We arrived at the venue around 5pm and the concert will start at 8PM yet. But there were a lot of swifties lining up outside already.

Taylor Swift Red Tour Manila – Laagan Kaayo

Inside the venue. I still remember there was one moment (before the concert started) when Taylor went outside and the crowd saw her and everyone was shouting and I panicked and then I cried and had goosebumps and I was like ljhkfjakshdlkaslfkasjflks.

Taylor Swift Red Tour Manila – Laagan Kaayo

The opening song was State of Grace . GOD I LOVE IT!!!! EVERYONE BECAME INSANE!!! SHE WAS SO PRETTY AND FLAWLESS!!! AND I HAD THESE GOOSEBUMPS ALL OVER ME!!!! I STILL REMEMBER!!!!

I never returned to my assigned seat until the end of the concert. Sorry guards. I need to be close to her. The last song she sang that night was “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”. It was perfect.

This is one of the happiest experience I’ve had in my life so far. I’m really happy to see her live and perform. And I’m begging her to come back here in the Philippines for 1989 World Tour. Fingers-Crossed

Lastly, I wanna share with you guys my one and only descent video of her during the concert. The Red Tour Manila finale. Please watch in HD.

This adds to yet another puzzling debate on whether Taylor’s timely stop is another well-received SG50 celebration. But mere coincidences aside, Taylor Swift has shown us over two nights why she managed to pull in yet another massive crowd on her fourth appearance in Singapore (two sold out 9 000-seater stadiums is no small feat).

But look we don’t want to bore you with words, here’s a simple infographic to tell you what’s what and what went down on Tay-tay’s show at the Indoor Stadium. If you made it to either of the two nights, here are a few figures for you to wrap your head around. We crunched the numbers so you don’t have to!

Forget the Swiftie bracelets and official merchandise for Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, which arrives on UK shores this week. It’s time to brand yourself with nail art inspired by the singer’s music.

Fans are getting nail art inspired by Swift for the Eras tour.

Manicurist Saskia Fenwick has created the ultimate Swiftie manicure . Each nail represents a different album “so it goes Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore/Evermore, Midnights and Tortured Poets Department, ” the nail artist explains. Using a sheer base, Swift fans will be able to recognize the album by each of the nail symbols, from a guitar to her famed red-heart glasses, with just a glance.

Fenwick, who created the Eras-inspired manicure by hand painting each nail, has sadly been unable to get her hands on tickets. If you’re lucky enough to have got tickets for the UK tour, avoid the long lines for tour merch and show off your Swiftie nails instead—after all, who needs another tote bag or water bottle?
