Big Time Rush was a band originally created for a Nickelodeon television series. The band eventually became signed to a record deal after the television series had ended in 2013. They have released three studio albums throughout the short career of the band so far.

They have received numerous awards for the best boy band and best music videos.

I saw Big Time Rush perform live in 2013 at Bristow, Virginia at Jiffy Lube. The concert was performed at an indoor venue so there was limited room for dancing and limited seats for the audience. This did not prevent the concert from being an excellent experience! There were very few props used and the only visual effects were the flashes of light that were shown on the band.

There were plenty of screaming fans at the concert who were very excited to watch them perform, including myself. The passion of the fans and the band made the atmosphere of the building completely awesome. The whole experience of this performance was wonderful and it was pretty fun to take part in all of the cheering that happened, which occurred almost every few minutes. I would recommend this concert to anyone who enjoys boy bands as they are the best currently around!

In June 2020, the band held a surprise virtual reunion to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their smash hit “Worldwide,” resulting in mass hysteria amongst their fans and in the media. In March 2021, all four seasons of Nickelodeon’s  Big Time Rush  were added to Netflix and the band went viral once again, increasing fan demand for an official reunion. Soon after, the band announced they would come together for two special live shows in New York and Chicago, both of which sold-out in a matter of minutes, blowing expectations out of the water and proving the power of the band’s devoted fandom. 2022 saw their North American  Forever Tour  sell out and the band release hit singles “Honey,” “Fall” and “Not Giving You Up.” 2023 promises to be another massive year for the band and fans can expect more news from Big Time Rush soon.

ABOUT BIG TIME RUSH:

Big Time Rush became an overnight sensation in November 2009 when the scripted TV show of the same name launched on Nickelodeon. The show focused on the Hollywood adventures of four hockey players from Minnesota after they were selected to form a boy band. The show became a huge success and later, Carlos, Kendall, James, and Logan came to life as a band off the screen releasing three full length albums and performing across the globe. As the show concluded in July 2013 and after four years of recording music and touring as a band, they went their separate ways but remained close friends through the years.     After 7 years, in an effort to bring joy to their fans during quarantine around the world, the members of Big Time Rush decided to appear together as a group to send a message of love and togetherness. This was soon followed by a socially distant performance of an acoustic version of their smash hit, “Worldwide”. These appearances resulted in hysteria amongst their fans and in the media, followed by BTR receiving 10+ million streams in 2020 alone. Four seasons of the TV show were added to Netflix in March 2021 and have appeared in the Netflix “Top 10” trending titles.     The band finished off 2021 with a performance at iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in Philadelphia as well as 2 sold out shows in Chicago and NYC, capping it off with the release of their first single in 8 years, “Call It Like I See It”.

The power group kicked off 2022 stronger than ever with the launch of their wildly successful, sold-out  Forever Tour,  as well as all new music, including hit singles “Honey,” “Fall,” and “Not Giving You Up.” The  Forever Tour  sold over 300,000 tickets across North America with numerous sell outs including sold-out shows in Chicago, at New York City’s legendary Madison Square Garden and on all dates on their Mexico Tour and will conclude in early 2023 in South America with shows in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile.

In addition to a massive sold-out tour, 2022 also included live performances at the Latin Kids Choice Awards, iHeart Music Festival, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the premiere of their first pay-per-view event,  The City Is Ours , a concert film capturing the band’s sold-out show at Madison Square Garden .

Earlier this month, the boy band announced they would be embarking on another tour only months after they wrapped their "nostalgia" run. Speaking to PEOPLE about the announcement, the band also dished on the release of their highly anticipated comeback project — as well as the sweet support from their significant others.

The Can't Get Enough tour — which was announced on the same day they released their new single "Can't Get Enough" — will kick off on June 22 in Fort Worth, Texas, and wrap on Aug. 12 in Las Vegas. This time around, the band knows the do's and don'ts for life on the road since their reunion in 2021.

"As a band, we've all agreed and we talk about, 'OK, how do we want to go about things? What kind of hotels do we want to stay in? What kind of food do we want to eat?" says Kendall Schmidt , 32, adding that the band as a whole prioritizes their health.

"We carry our own grill," says Carlos PenaVega , 33. "Just one nice grill so that if the food isn't great, we can grill burgers."

Logan Henderson , 33, adds, "That's dad level."

On March 5, the band will wrap the South American and final leg of the Forever tour. In those three months, the band will place the final touches on their highly anticipated comeback album (the first since 2013's 24/seven ).

"We're not just looking for hits," Logan says. "Obviously that's great, but we want to make good music that we are proud of and that's literally what we're striving for. That's why it's taken so long."

"We've always been the anti-boy band in terms of the stuff we make," James Maslow , 33, says, adding that they collectively wrote a song they consider to be "an ancient classic" that fans would "expect a boy band to sing" — even though that was never their intention. "It just doesn't follow any guidelines. This one is going to be one to remember."

The three months between tours will also be an opportunity for the band to (sort of) take a break and focus on their individual lives.

Schmidt will be spending time in the studio and planning a wedding with fiancée Mica von Turkovich, to whom he proposed in June .

"I'm getting married this year. That'll be after the tour," he says, adding that he needs to help plan before cracking a joke about his bandmates. "These guys are not invited."

Henderson will spend a couple days at home in Los Angeles before embarking on a European trip to "chill." Meanwhile, Maslow is excited to spend some time at home in Miami.

PenaVega — who's married to Alexa PenaVega and shares sons Ocean King, 6, and Kingston James, 3, along with daughter Rio Rey, 21 months — will spend some time with the family as he's on set filming a movie.

"I'm a workaholic. I'm shooting two movies and then going straight into tour," he says. "But the whole family will be together, so we're just going to just power through it. And my wife gives up so much for me to be able to do this. These movies are with her, so it's a great way for her and me to do stuff together."

Henderson adds, "I think for all of us, we have such high hopes and dreams. Big Time Rush has allowed us to not only do what we want in this industry, but also other things in other industries. So it's just been such a blessing. This whole comeback."

The one thing that makes their experience together that much better is the support from their girlfriends and wives.

"Mica will often wear one of our merch shirts to bed. Which is kind of funny. [She] loves everything Big Time Rush. So we're constantly blasting it," Schmidt says, while Maslow says that girlfriend Caitlin Spears doesn't "electively listen" to their music, "but when I'm gone for a week or two at a time, she does watch the TV show."

He adds, "I'll notice she'll wear shirts I have from movies I've done with my face on it or whatever. It's very cute."

"All our spouses, wives, whatever, they're all super supportive. On tour the four of them are side-stage watching every show. We're super blessed," says PenaVega.

On Friday, April 5, an earthquake rattled the Big Apple.

Next up: Hurricanes are coming.

After breezing past the eighth-seeded Washington Capitals, the New York Rangers will take on the Carolina Hurricanes in a best-of-seven second-round series.

This won’t be the first time the perennial Eastern Conference contenders have faced off in the postseason.

The high-stakes matchup on the road to the Stanley Cup will be a rematch of their 2022 Conference Semifinals; in that go-round, the Rangers came back from a 3-2 deficit to win in seven.

Expectations are high for the Blueshirts to come away victorious this time, too.

If you want to be there to ensure the Rangers defeat the evenly matched Hurricanes and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals — and hopefully the Stanley Cup — tickets are available for all upcoming home games at Madison Square Garden .

For those that want to cheer Igor Shesterkin, Mika Zibanejad, and Adam Fox on in Carolina against Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, and Seth Jarvis, seats can be snagged for all hypothetical away matches at Raleigh, N.C.’s PNC Arena .

At the time of publication, MSG ticket prices start at $329 before fees on Vivid Seats.

$126 before fees is the lowest price we could find for games in Raleigh.

Still looking for a few more details before smashing that buy button ?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about the New York Rangers vs. Carolina Hurricanes second-round series below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Rangers-Hurricanes 2023-24 regular season record

Over the course of the regular season, the Rangers took two of three from the ‘Canes.

In their first matchup, New York won 2-1 at MSG on Nov. 2, 2023 behind goals from Will Cuylle and Chris Kreider.

After that, the Hurricanes came roaring back with a commanding 6-1 victory on Jan. 2. Andrei Svechnikov led Carolina with a pair of goals.

The season series came to a close on March 12; the Rangers shut out the Hurricanes 1-0 that evening.

To advance to the second round of the playoffs, New York beat the eighth-seeded Washington Capitals in five games; Carolina quickly defeated the New York Islanders in five as well.
