About Carly Pearce

Fiercely rooted in the classics, the girl who left her Kentucky home and high school at 16 to take a job at Dollywood has grown into a woman who embraces the genre’s forward progression. Confident in what she wants to say, the committed songwriter has resonated with fans and caught the attention of music critics from Billboard , NPR , Rolling Stone , The New York Times touting 29: WRITTEN IN STONE (Big Machine Records) on their 2021 year-end Best of Lists. Carly performed the collection in its entirety throughout her sold-out THE 29 TOUR and is currently on Kenny Chesney’s HERE AND NOW TOUR 2022. Lighting a fire with her debut album EVERY LITTLE THING and the PLATINUM-certified history making title track, Carly’s 2X PLATINUM-certified “I Hope You’re Happy Now" with Lee Brice won both the CMA Musical Event and ACM Music Event , plus ACM Single of the Year . She picked up her second consecutive ACM Awards Music Event of the Year with Ashley McBryde duet “Never Wanted To Be That Girl,” Carly’s third No. 1 and the third duet between two solo women to top Country Airplay, dating to the Billboard chart’s January 1990 inception. Knowing it’s time to move on, she offers final reckoning of a relationship that failed and a new set of standards for the next time she falls in love with the project’s final single “What He Didn’t Do,” co-written alongside Ashley Gorley and Emily Shackleton. Recently filming “Carly Pearce Inside 29: Written In Stone – Live from Music City” with acclaimed director Shaun Silva at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works, her surprise duet with Wynonna Judd aired on ABC’s CMA Fest special and CARLY PEARCE: TWO NIGHTS AT THE RYMAN October 26 & 27 mark her first headline dates at the iconic venue. Returning to host ACM Honors on August 24, the reigning ACM/CMA Awards Female Artist/Vocalist of the Year and Grand Ole Opry member (fittingly invited by Dolly Parton) is clearly living out her childhood dream. For dates and more, visit carlypearce.com .

About Jackson Dean

Odenton, Maryland native Jackson Dean is a singer/songwriter known for his old school, gritty style of Country. Mature beyond his years, Jackson has a daring and carefree spirit, having moved out at 18 years old to live in a cinderblock, concrete floor, one-room shack on the back of his grandfather’s property with no heat and no plumbing. Bringing that same sense of adventure to his songwriting, Jackson writes both independently and alongside outliers like Luke Dick, classic writers like Casey Beathard and everyone in between. Following the release of his debut collection  JACKSON DEAN , Jackson continues to show people how real music can be with atmospheric, musically forward album  GREENBROKE  out now via Big Machine Records. Featured on the soundtrack for Netflix’s  The Ice Road  and in an episode of Paramount Network’s  Yellowstone , the stomping “Don’t Come Lookin’” is making its mark as his first single at Country radio. James Daykin

Superstar entertainer  Blake Shelton  will return to the road in 2023 for his headlining ‘Back to the Honky Tonk Tour' kicking off on Feb. 16 in Lincoln, NE. Set to join the lineup are reigning ACM Female Artist / CMA Female Vocalist of the year  Carly Pearce  and rising artist  Jackson Dean . Tickets for the 18-date run will go on sale Friday, Sept. 16 and Friday, Sept. 23 ( PURCHASE HERE ). See below for timing and more information.

“There’s nothing like getting out on the road and taking music to the fans,” Shelton said. “I feel just as excited to step on stage and perform as I did the very first time. I know my tour mates Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean feel the same, and I can’t wait for y’all to get to know them better. Break out the hats and boots, ‘cause we’re going back to the honky tonk!”

Blake Shelton

The sad aspect of this news for us Country music fans is that this tour will take place over the weekend in March when London, Dublin and Glasgow hosts the C2C festival, so none of these three artists can be considered for the bill.

Shelton has ranked among Pollstar’s Top 200 North American Tours nearly every year for the past decade. His ‘Back to the Honky Tonk' Tour follows consecutive ‘Friends And Heroes' outings.

The beloved recording artist is indeed going back to the honky tonk with his latest single ‘No Body'. The track became the most added song at country radio upon impact last month. The song is “soaked in ‘90s country vibes” ( Billboard ), and its official music video features line-dancing at a country bar – complete with Shelton sporting his signature mullet.

For fans who can’t wait until 2023: Shelton will perform “No Body” tomorrow night (9/8) on NBC’s  The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon . He will then take the hallowed stage at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, Sept. 10. Visit  HERE  to locate additional tour dates through the end of the year.

Blake Shelton continues to add to his impressive resume of music with the release of his latest single “No Body.” The song comes on the heels of his album Body Language Deluxe, which features his Platinum-selling 28 th country radio chart-topper, “Happy Anywhere” (featuring Gwen Stefani). Prior to “Happy Anywhere,” Shelton and Stefani celebrated a 2x Platinum, multi-week No. 1 with “Nobody But You,” which has now topped 480 million global streams. The single made its TV debut on the 62nd GRAMMY Awards, where Shelton was also nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for his hit “God’s Country.” The 4x Platinum smash earned the 2019 CMA Award and 2020 ACM Award for Single of the Year. As his award wins approach the hundreds, Shelton remains a force in the industry with ACM (5), AMA (3), CMA (10), CMT (11) and People’s Choice Awards (7), among many others.

Fiercely rooted in the classics, the girl who left her Kentucky home and high school at 16 to take a job at Dollywood has grown into a woman who embraces the genre’s forward progression. Confident in what she wants to say, the committed songwriter has resonated with fans and caught the attention of music critics from Billboard, NPR, Rolling Stone, The New York Times touting 29: WRITTEN IN STONE (Big Machine Records) on their 2021 year-end Best of Lists. Carly performed the collection in its entirety throughout her sold-out THE 29 TOUR and is currently on Kenny Chesney’s HERE AND NOW TOUR 2022. Lighting a fire with her debut album EVERY LITTLE THING and the PLATINUM-certified history making title track, Carly’s 2X PLATINUM- certified “I Hope You’re Happy Now" with Lee Brice won both the CMA Musical Event and ACM Music Event, plus ACM Single of the Year.

Following the release of his debut collection JACKSON DEAN, Jackson continues to show people how real music can be with atmospheric, musically forward album GREENBROKE out now via Big Machine Records. Featured on the soundtrack for Netflix’s The Ice Road and in an episode of Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, the stomping “Don’t Come Lookin’” is making its mark as his first single at Country radio.

About Blake Shelton:

Blake Shelton tour dates didn’t just happen out of high school, Warner Bros. recording artist Blake Shelton left Oklahoma to move to Nashville. Back home at only 16 years old, Shelton had received statewide focus when he won the Denbo Diamond Award, the top award for young Oklahoma entertainers. In Nashville, Shelton was able to get several material published with Naomi Martin Music, Warner/Chappell Music, and Jerry Crutchfield music.

Shelton turned his songwriting into a successful recording in 2001 with his debut single, “ Austin “; the song eventually spent five weeks at number one. “ All Over Me ” and “ Ol’ Red ” followed in 2002, allowing Shelton’s record to go gold. His star power was on the rise and Shelton was as busy as ever. He wasted no time recording a follow-up release and filling up Blake Shelton tour dates. The Dreamer appeared in February 2003, hot on the heels of the Top Ten single “ The Baby .” A third album, Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill, was put forth in 2004, along with a DVD, Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill: A Video Collection. In 2007 he put forth the cleverly titled Pure BS on Warner, came by Startin’ Fires in 2008.

Flash forward a few years and Blake Shelton has matured and come into his own as both an artist, and an authentic performer. He brings a little (ok, a LOT) of his personality to everything he does, from tweeting, to talking in interviews, and especially into performing live. About Post Malone

A 9x diamond-certified GRAMMY® Award-nominated phenomenon, Dallas, TX artist Post Malone regularly rewrites history, blurs boundaries, and incites internet-breaking conversation with every move. Emerging in 2015 with a genre-less brew that inspired a movement, he delivered the diamond-selling “Congratulations” [feat. Quavo], achieved back-to-back #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200, received countless multi-Platinum certifications around the world, and smashed one record after another with his Hot 100-topping hits. In 2022, he pushed boundaries again with his fourth full-length offering, Twelve Carat Toothache , which marked his fourth consecutive Top 5 bow on the Top 200. It also paved the way for his biggest headliner to date, The Twelve Carat Toothache Tour, taking over arenas for multiple dates in major cities throughout the year. He even scored “the highest-certified single in RIAA history” with the 17x-platinum “Sunflower ( Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse )” [feat. Swae Lee], netting the biggest single of his generation. In 2023, he garnered a GRAMMY® Award nod in the category of “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” for “I Like You (A Happier Song)” [with Doja Cat], marking his tenth career nomination in six years.

Three years prior, his 2019 third full-length, Hollywood’s Bleeding [Republic Records], represented an audience and critical high watermark. Not only did it arrive at platinum status and eventually go triple platinum, but it also reigned at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 for four weeks and returned to the chart for a fifth week, making for the longest run atop the chart of 2019 and the first release to do so in over a year. The quadruple-platinum lead single “Circles” seized #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks. It notably occupied a spot on the chart for a record 39 weeks in total. Speaking of making history, he performed a massively popular Nirvana tribute concert on YouTube, raising over $10,000,000 for the World Health Organization in the fight against COVID-19. Hollywood’s Bleeding followed the immense success of the triple-Platinum beerbongs & bentleys , which also landed at #1 a year prior. In the wake of beerbongs & bentleys , Post crushed a record in place for 54 years. He charted nine songs in the Top 20 of the Hot 100, notching “the most songs in the Top 20 of the Hot 100 ever . ” Moreover, he also trounced the record for most simultaneous Top 40 Hot 100 hits with 14.

As of 2023, his catalog comprises the GRAMMY® Award-nominated “rockstar” [feat. 21 Savage” (Diamond), “Sunflower ( Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse )” [feat. Swae Lee] (2x Diamond), “I Fall Apart” (Diamond), “Psycho” [feat. Ty Dolla $ign] (Diamond), “White Iverson” (Diamond), “Better Now” (Diamond), and more. Not to mention, he sold out numerous arena tours and hosted and curated his own mega-popular Posty Fest in 2018 and 2019. It all started with his quintuple-platinum influential 2016 debut, Stoney . With records under his belt that will likely never be surpassed and a generation of artists and audiences worldwide under his spell, Post Malone simply doesn’t stop.

About the 'Back to the Honky Tonk Tour'

This will be a bit of a continuation for Blake Shelton and this particular tour. The 2023 version included 18 dates from February 16 through March 25.

Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean served as supporting acts for that tour.

Fans of Blake Shelton called this tour one of the best he's ever put on. Some of the highlights included amazing lighting and screens, as seen in the video below. There was also a special VIP section available along the extended stage where concertgoers could enjoy drinks served by bartenders during the show.

Touring for Shelton has been limited over the last few years due to his twice-a-year "coaching" duties on NBC's The Voice . Of course, he's off the show now, so perhaps a heavier touring schedule will be in his future.

When was the last time Blake Shelton played in Lafayette?

Our research (and bad memory) shows Blake Shelton has never headlined the Cajundome.

We believe the last time he played Lafayette was for the Cajun Heartland State Fair in 2002.

About Blake Shelton

Shelton has been on the national scene since 2001, launching his career with the five-week #1 song "Austin."

Over his career, he's released 12 studio albums, has had 28 career No. 1 singles, and is a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Shelton has a full award mantel as well, notching the following:

  • 10 Country Music Association Awards
  • 6 Academy of Country Music Awards
  • 1 CMT Artist of the Award
  • 10 CMT Music Awards
  • 8 American Country Awards
  • 7 People's Choice Awards
  • 3 American Music Awards
