Carnival Miracle is a ship you may not believe when you see... but definitely don't miss seeing it! When we say that Carnival Miracle takes you to another world, we mean that in every sense. Not only does this ship visit stunning destinations, but features incredible onboard spaces inspired by elements of fantasy. Escape from reality as you take in a show at the Phantom Lounge or a dance at Dr. Frankenstein's Lab. To lose yourself in a song, find your way to Sam's Piano Bar. Hungry? You'll find great food all over the place, from the casual fare of Horatio's to the artful eats of the Bacchus and Ariadne dining rooms... not to mention the world-class cuts at Nick & Nora's Steakhouse. At Alchemy Bar ® we make drinks into art, while the laid-back RedFrog Pub ™ has "Caribbean cool" down to a science. And up in SkyBox ™ Sports Bar, we've combined luxury-box comfort with the up-close view from the 50-yard line. Outdoors there's fun to be had, whether you're down for watersliding or up for simply sunning — Carnival WaterWorks ™ has you covered (in water, that is), and the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat ™ will get you relaxing in the sun or the shade, grown-up-style. No matter your age, don't forget: the sweetest way to cap off the day is with a treat from Cherry On Top ™ , our onboard candy-and-more store.

Circle C

What does the “C” in Circle “C” stand for? Well, “chill,” “connect” and “cool,” just to name a few. It’s where young teens ages 12 to 14 go to hang out, meet new friends, and enjoy some pretty awesome activities like dance parties, games, outdoor movies and more, in the special Circle “C” area or around the ship. It’s all supervised by friendly and fun-loving counselors who want your young teens to have the best vacation ever.

Together with their group they’ll enjoy tons of fun-filled, age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, songs, games, toys, dancing, movies and video games. And let’s not forget the extra time you’ll have, since you won’t be waking up and spending most of the day at the office or anything like that. Jogging may not immediately come to mind when you think of things to do at sea, but it probably should. You don’t have to walk on water, you just have to get on a Carnival cruise. After all, if you’re going to jog, you’d be hard-pressed to find a place to do it with a more scenic view, or a more refreshing breeze — both of these are available in abundance when you go for an open-air jog on the upper-deck. Jogging tracks are available on all Carnival ships, and are even padded for long-distance comfort.

Like other Carnival ships, the 2,124-passenger Carnival Miracle boasts activities and entertainment geared toward travelers of all ages. Thanks to a renovation in 2020, the ship features upgrades like Guy's Burger Joint, WaterWorks, RedFrog Rum Bar, BlueIguana Cantina and more. The ship also received a minor refresh to interior and exterior spaces in 2022.

Even with the added venues, a nearly 2-to-1 guest-to-crew ratio ensures service is a priority. And compared to other Carnival ships, Miracle offers a higher percentage of cabins with ocean views. While Interior staterooms provide more wallet-friendly digs, Ocean View, Balcony and Suite category cabins offer more space and scenery. All cabins come equipped with flat-screen TVs and 24-hour room service.

During days at sea, grown-ups can enjoy poolside lounging or the adults-only Serenity Retreat, while kids ages 2 to 17 can play at age-specific programs.  There are also entertainment options like the Punchliner Comedy Club, the SkyBox Sports Bar and the Seuss at Sea program. Once the family works up an appetite, they'll have their pick of the main dining room, the Lido buffet, a specialty steakhouse (for an extra fee) and more.

12 best Panama Canal cruises for a bucket-list trip

Donna Heiderstadt

A Panama Canal transit is a rite of passage for many cruise lovers. Experiencing this marvel of early 20th-century engineering appeals to those with a wide array of interests, from history and politics to colonial architecture and wildlife. Built by the U.S. government between 1903 and 1914, this 50-mile waterway linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans revolutionized shipping by creating an expedited route for the transit of cargo and, ultimately, cruise ship passengers.

Panama Canal itineraries are offered by almost every cruise line. Thanks to a 2016 canal expansion project, a third set of locks can now accommodate larger vessels. It's possible to cruise the Panama Canal on ships of all sizes (from 148 guests to more than 3,000) on itineraries that range from a week in the sun to a six-month world cruise.

Some ships sail a full transit of the canal, from the Atlantic to the Pacific or vice versa. These one-way journeys between Miami or Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles or San Diego visit ports in Central America, South America, Mexico and California.

Others sail only a partial transit, entering the locks from the Atlantic and cruising into Lake Gatun before turning around and exiting again. These itineraries, sailing round-trip from Florida ports, combine the canal experience with island hopping in the Caribbean.

For more cruise guides, news and tips, sign up for TPG's cruise newsletter .

The array of options means that a Panama Canal cruise experience is possible even if you're short on time or have a limited budget — and chances are high that your favorite cruise line offers one or more itineraries. Most sailings attract couples, typically retirees, but if the timing is right, a Panama Canal cruise can also be a great multigenerational experience.

Here are a dozen of the best Panama Canal cruises to consider.

Holland America's 14- to 17-night Panama Canal cruises

cruise carnival miracle

Holland America offers a variety of Panama Canal cruises , but the most popular itineraries span 14 to 17 nights. They offer a full transit between Fort Lauderdale or Miami and San Diego, Seattle or Vancouver, British Columbia, or vice versa and are offered on multiple ships, including Koningsdam, Zuiderdam, Zaandam, Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam. These sailings call on Cartagena, Colombia; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; and Huatulco and Puerto Vallarta or Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Longer sailings also call on several Caribbean islands.

Who should go : Holland America ships sailing a full transit are popular with retired couples who appreciate the cruise line's consistency and good value. All four ships accommodate between 1,432 and 2,650 passengers and offer signature onboard experiences that include the Greenhouse Spa and the World Stage for evening production shows. The larger Eurodam, Koningsdam and Nieuw Amsterdam feature additional specialty dining options, such as Tamarind and Nami Sushi, as well as popular music venues B.B. King's Blues Club and Billboard Onboard.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises' 16-night Los Angeles-to-Miami cruise

Regent Seven Seas Cruises ' newest ship, Seven Seas Grandeur, debuted in November 2023 and will transit the Panama Canal on several occasions in the next few years. The 16-night Miami-to-Los Angeles (Dec. 13-29, 2024) and 16-night Los Angeles-to-Miami (Jan. 8-23, 2025) transits offer luxurious all-inclusive pampering, plus port calls in Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas and Acapulco, Mexico; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; Corinto, Nicaragua; Panama City; Cartagena, Colombia; and George Town, Grand Cayman.

Plan even further ahead for Grandeur's 22-night Miami-to-Los Angeles transit (Jan. 3-25, 2026) to enjoy additional Caribbean ports of call. From Jan. 25 to Feb. 9, 2026, the ship will sail a 16-night Panama Canal transit from Los Angeles to Miami with an itinerary similar to the 2024 and early 2025 cruises.

Who should go : This itinerary can be a wonderful splurge for a couple seeking to celebrate a milestone anniversary or birthday in a memorable way on a luxurious new ship. Prices start at a hefty $10,099 per person for a spacious balcony suite, but they also include airfare, transfers, gratuities, dining and beverages, Wi-Fi and shore excursions — meaning you'll hardly have any other vacation expenses.

Celebrity Cruises' 11-night Panama Canal & Southern Caribbean cruise

cruise carnival miracle

For a Panama Canal experience that begins and ends in Fort Lauderdale, Celebrity Cruises ' 11-night Panama Canal & Southern Caribbean itinerary is a great option. There's still time to book the Dec. 2, 2024, cruise or the half-dozen almost identical sailings that follow through April 2025. All sailings are aboard the 3,260-passenger Celebrity Beyond and visit Cartagena, Colombia; Colon, Panama; Oranjestad, Aruba; Kralendjik, Bonaire; and George Town, Grand Cayman (Willemstad, Curacao, replaces Grand Cayman on some 2025 sailings).

Who should go : Celebrity Beyond and its Edge-series sister ships appeal to millennials, Gen Xers and young-at-heart baby boomers who appreciate innovative design, entertainment and dining options. The ships are geared toward couples or groups of friends, but families with older teens might also enjoy the onboard vibe. There are no splash pools or waterslides for younger kids, although calls on three Caribbean islands offer aquatic fun.

Windstar Cruises' 7-night Costa Rica & Panama Canal cruise

To explore the Panama Canal region in a relaxed manner aboard an intimate motorized sailing yacht or small ship, check out Windstar Cruises' seven-night Costa Rica & Panama Canal itinerary. Bookable on more than a dozen dates from November 2024 through March 2026, the itinerary is offered aboard 148-passenger Wind Star or Wind Spirit (in 2024 and 2025) and 312-passenger Star Pride (in 2026). The ship will travel from Colon, Panama, to Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica (or vice versa), transiting the canal. Passengers can visit Panama City and Isla Parida in Panama, plus Golfo Dolce and Quepos (for Manuel Antonio National Park) in Costa Rica.

Who should go : Fans of small-ship cruising who enjoy a casual onboard ambience, are interested in nature and wildlife and wish to sample the regional flavors of Central America should consider a Windstar cruise . All accommodations on the sailing yachts are in snug yet well-designed staterooms with windows but no balconies. Wind Star and Wind Spirit are cozy and social four-deck ships, each featuring a pool and pool bar, a lounge and two restaurants. Star Pride is the better option for those who prefer a more spacious suitelike cabin with a balcony and a larger bathroom.

Silversea's 18-night Fort Lauderdale-to-Los Angeles cruise

cruise carnival miracle

Silversea Cruises ' 18-night Fort Lauderdale-to-Los Angeles transit aboard 596-passenger Silver Moon offers a luxurious and leisurely way to experience the Panama Canal along with top ports in four countries and 10 sea days. The itinerary includes Cartagena, Colombia (where the ship overnights); Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; and Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The sailing takes place from April 1 to 19, 2025.

Silver Moon is one of four Silversea ships to feature the S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) program, which combines regionally inspired dining in S.A.L.T. Kitchen, cooking classes and demonstrations in S.A.L.T. Lab with culinary-inspired shore excursions.

Who should go : Silversea's clientele is mostly mature couples with a luxury mindset and an appreciation for elevated dining with a strong regional focus. They also appreciate the cruise line's all-inclusive ease. An almost three-week itinerary such as this is likely to attract retirees seeking an extended warm-weather escape.

Norwegian Cruise Line's 12-night South America: Peru, Colombia & Ecuador cruise

cruise carnival miracle

There's no "Panama Canal" in this itinerary's name, but Norwegian Cruise Line 's 12-night South America: Peru, Colombia & Ecuador cruise (Feb. 27-March 11, 2026) does a full canal transit as it sails from Miami to Lima, Peru. The 2,402-passenger Norwegian Jade will visit historic Santa Marta and Cartagena in Colombia; Panama City; Manta, Ecuador; and Trujillo and Lima in Peru.

Who should go : Couples and friends interested in experiencing not just a Panama Canal transit but some of the top coastal experiences along the Pacific coast of South America should choose this itinerary. Norwegian Jade is an older, smaller vessel that was refurbished in 2022 and features a top deck more conducive to sunning than thrill rides. The ship also has a surprising number of restaurants for its size: two main dining rooms, a buffet restaurant, a pub-style bar and grill, an Asian restaurant and an outdoor grill on a complimentary basis, plus six specialty dining venues (including a steakhouse and venues showcasing French, Italian and Japanese cuisines) for an added fee.

Oceania's 16-night Miami-to-Los Angeles cruise

Oceania Cruises ' 1,200-passenger Vista — which debuted in May 2023 as the first new-build ship in Oceania's fleet in more than a decade — will offer back-to-back, 16-night Miami-to-Los Angeles (Jan. 8-24, 2025) and Los Angeles-to-Miami (Jan. 24-Feb. 9, 2025) itineraries. Both sailings visit six countries with port calls that include George Town, Grand Cayman; Cartagena, Colombia; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Corinto, Nicaragua; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; and Acapulco, Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico. (The second sailing visits San Diego instead of Ensenada.)

Who should go : Oceania's newest ship offers a great compromise between a small and medium-size vessel and is ideal for those seeking a premium cruise experience with casual sophistication. Older couples especially will appreciate the ship's elegant cabin decor in soft hues of wheat and seagrass, mix of grand and intimate spaces and wide array of dining options. (Two new and noteworthy venues on Vista include Ember for inventive American cuisine and Aquamar Kitchen for wellness-focused breakfast, lunch and dinner.) A more immersive mixology program features curated cocktail menus, indulgent pairing experiences and specialty beverage carts.

Cunard's 26-night Southampton-to-San Francisco cruise

cruise carnival miracle

Cunard's brand-new 2,996-passenger ship Queen Anne, which debuts in May 2023, will make both its first transatlantic crossing and its first Panama Canal transit on this historic 26-night Southampton-to-San Francisco sailing (Jan. 9-Feb. 4, 2025). The ship will first cross the Atlantic and then overnight in New York before calling on Aruba, transiting the canal and visiting Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It will conclude with an overnight in San Francisco.

The winter transatlantic crossing might not be right for everyone, but the second half of this voyage explores warm-weather destinations with plenty of relaxing sea days for sunning, reading, taking dance lessons and enjoying expert lectures.

Who should go : British cruise line Cunard appeals mainly to older travelers who savor the line's formal traditions. This cruise is for you if you enjoy afternoon tea, dressing up for dinner, gala evenings and dancing to big-band orchestras. This particular itinerary appeals to retirees who wish to visit several cruise regions in one sailing.

Viking's 180-day World Voyage

For the ultimate cruise indulgence, Viking's 180-day World Voyage I includes a Panama Canal transit (on Christmas Day, no less) as 930-passenger Viking Sky cruises from Fort Lauderdale to New York City (Dec. 19, 2024-June 17, 2025). This round-the-world cruise will visit 37 countries as guests enjoy Viking Sky's modern Scandinavian interior decor, soothing LivNordic Spa, two pools (including one with a retractable roof) and six onboard restaurants. Pricing includes airfare, gratuities and complimentary wine and beer with lunch and dinner.

If this longer voyage is sold out, consider the 138-day Viking World Cruise (departing Dec. 19, 2025), also on Viking Sky. This sailing, which travels from Fort Lauderdale to London (Greenwich), visits 28 countries and transits the Panama Canal on the eighth day.

Who should go : With cruise fares that start at $79,995 and $59,995 per person, respectively, these extended adventures at sea require a luxury budget. Viking 's base clientele is mostly retired or close-to-retirement-age professionals who enjoy the cruise line's focus on educational enrichment (via onboard lectures) and serene ambience (there's no casino, and the nighttime vibe is on the quiet side).

50 Best Cruise Ship Water Parks and Private Islands for Kids

A nyone who’s ever cruised in the Caribbean or Mexico knows how hot a day at sea can get. With temperatures routinely hitting 80 degrees and above, being able to cool off onboard your ship is a must. And for families with young kids and tweens, nothing beats a cruise ship water park with water slides when it comes to keeping everyone happy and refreshed on days at sea.

The Best Cruise Ship Water Parks for Kids of All Ages

Plenty of cruise ships have pools and water slides, but not all of them are a good fit for families with tweens or kids under 10 years old. Pools can get crowded, life guards may not be available, and water slides may be too scary or have height limits.

That’s not a problem with the following cruise ship water parks that have just what’s needed for all ages from toddlers to tweens to teens. From smaller water slides, wading pools, and tipping buckets to water cannons, surprise water spouts, and dancing fountains, here are the cruise ships with the best onboard water parks for every age group.

FAMILY CRUISE DEALS: Kids Cruise Free: These 7 Cruise Lines Let Kids Sail Free

Important note: With the exception of Disney Cruise Line , kids on all other ships must be potty-trained to play in these cruise ship water parks; swim diapers are not permitted on most ships.

Splashaway Bay Aqua Park and Category 6 Water Park on Royal Caribbean

Splashaway Bay aqua park from Royal Caribbean is an ideal cruise ship water park for tweens or kids under 10 who love to zip down water slides, splash through fountains, or get soaking wet beneath a massive tipping bucket. There’s also a Splashaway Bay area for little kids at Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay .

FIRST TIME: How to Make the Most of Your First Cruise Vacation

The main attraction at the Splashaway Bay water parks on Royal Caribbean ships are the colorful water slides, the number of which vary by cruise ship. Generally, you’ll find one or two larger slides for kids ages six and older (minimum height is 42 inches) and one small slide for the toddlers. For the big slide, the maximum weight is 300 pounds. There’s also a splash zone with ankle-high pools of water and an array of other water features (think water cannons, whirlpools, and a drench bucket) to get kids wet and laughing.

For bigger thrills, look to the Category 6 water park on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas . At 17,000 square feet, this is the biggest cruise ship water park in the world, and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart. Spread across two decks, Category 6 boasts a number of firsts at sea: the first open freefall slide, the first dueling mat race slides, the first family raft rides on a cruise ship, and last but not least, the tallest drop slide at sea. It’s a truly epic water park that’s most suited to daredevil tweens and teens.

Carnival waterworks on carnival cruise line.

Kids of all ages will be dazzled by the brightly colored Carnival WaterWorks water parks found on most Carnival Cruise Line ships. Though the space and design varies by ship, all of the Carnival ship water parks feature one or two water slides, a giant tipping bucket, and kiddie spray zones with fountains and water cannons that are perfect for younger kids.

WATER WORLDS: 14 Best Indoor Water Park Resorts in the U.S.

Most ships have either straight or curling slides, but Carnival Vista offers up the Kaleid-O-Slide . This water slide, geared toward the seven-and-up crowd, takes riders on mats down a 455-foot-long series of twists and turns while zooming through flashing kaleidoscopic lights and visual effects. Even younger kids will appreciate the Dr. Seuss-themed WaterWorks and spray zone on Carnival Horizon , which includes a massive water-tipping top-hat and two water slides. Some of Carnival’s ships also have racing slides that offer side by side thrills for older kids and adults.

Forest Aquaventure Park, AquaPlay, Polar Park, Aurora Borealis Aquapark, and Ocean Cay Aquapark on MSC Cruises

One of the largest water parks for young kids at sea, the Forest Aquaventure Park and AquaPlay area on MSC Cruises offer a full range of amusements for kids, tweens, teens, and water slide-loving adults. There are four slides, including two racing slides with clear sections that extend out over the side of the ship; an easy, open air spiral slide; and a funky slideboard option with neon lighting.

SUNSHINE STATE: 7 Best Orlando Water Parks for Families

For the smaller kids under 10, there’s a large shallow pool with fountains to play under, mini slides to give the kiddos a thrill, spray nozzles for getting mom and dad wet, and a giant tipping bucket. Above it all is an enclosed suspension bridge that might look scary and like a challenge to some of the younger kids, but is as safe as can be.

MSC’s Polar AquaPark, found on MSC Meraviglia and MSC Bellissima , isn’t nearly as toddler-friendly as Forest Aquaventure, which is a good thing for families with older kids and tweens. The water slides here are decidedly teen- and adult-sized, as is the rope bridge. There’s a smallish water slide in the splash zone, and kids under 10 will get a kick out of trying to figure out which is the next tipping bucket to go over (there are lots of them). There are also a few sprayers and a fountain wall for kids to run through.

And the MSC World Europa has an impressive VR-enhanced water park called the Aurora Borealis AquaPark , which is geared more toward teens and adults than little kids. While it does have a toddler-only pool, the overall experience is best suited to bigger kids. The reef-themed Ocean Cay AquaPark can be found on MSC Euribia .

Limited to the eight and under set, the 1,500-square-foot Nemo’s Reef on Disney Cruise Line ships is filled with Finding Nemo characters, countless fountains, pop jets, and spray nozzles. KID-FRIENDLY CRUISES: 7 Best Cruise Lines for Families (and Their Most Kid-Friendly Ships)

For the tweens and kids eight years old and up, the AquaDuck water coaster stretches more than 750 feet, and a parent can ride together with their child on a two-person raft that goes up and down and out over the side of the ship.

In fact, each of Disney’s cruise ships has at least one water play area for younger kids. You’ll find a sprawling water playground called AquaLab themed around Donald Duck’s mischievous nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie on the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, and Disney Fantasy. On the Disney Wish, a very basic splash area called The Toy Story Splash Zone is geared toward toddlers age three and under, while the AquaMouse water slide—for kids (and adults) seven and older—is Disney’s first theme park-like attraction at sea.

Which Cruise Lines Have Private Island Water Parks?

Several of the most family-friendly cruise lines have their own private islands where you’ll find water parks and splash areas of varying complexity.

Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay is a massive water-themed playground of an island sure to dazzle both adults and kids. Among the offerings: Thrill Waterpark with its two towers and 13 slides, plus the Caribbean’s largest wave pool and an obstacle course pool. Perfect Day at CocoCay is also home to the Caribbean’s largest freshwater pool, Oasis Lagoon, which has coves, a swim-up bar, private cabanas, swim-up islands with in-water loungers, and a kid-friendly beach entry.

Disney’s Castaway Cay has plenty of water fun to offer as well. You can snorkel, swim with stingrays, zip down water slides in the water park area, and even run a 5K.

Both Carnival and Holland America visit the 2,400-acre Half Moon Cay in The Bahamas. As with Perfect Day at CocoCay and Castaway Cay, there’s a kid’s water park area here as well. Families can also go horseback riding on the beach and swing with stingrays. Norwegian Cruise Line’s Great Stirrup Cay private island does not have a water park.

Note that not all sailings from these lines stop at their private islands, so if this experience is of interest, be sure to check the itinerary before booking.

Finally! Carnival cruise line has a departing port in Dan Francisco!! I Just got back from Yet another Carnival Cruise. So far this year I've been on a total of four and I have to say each ship is very different so do your homework and research before you go. Overall Carnival is known as the fun ship because they Offer lots of parties entertainment, and the workers seem to be genuinely happy friendly and welcoming all their guest and of course put on a very fun vacation. If possible I would definitely recommend going on all of their ship so that you can get a fill of what you like versus what you don't like. Yes majority of the stores restaurant shops you will find on all of their ships but again each ship is unique and they also Visit different port locations. I'm always very pleased with the service I get with Carnival and will be back again!

Photo of Elaine W.

I had canceled my cruise yesterday, October 20th 2023, and I had purchased the trip insurance that's to reimburse me for my ticket if something came up and I couldn't go. So, I called to cancel and get my money back. I got the sum total of eight hundred and change, Also, that I had to file a claim from a different company [turns out it's *their* company.] It was totally ludicrous. I never actually thought that Carnival Cruise would put me thru that. I have so much on my mind right now including, including my daughter-in-law being on hospice. I dont='t need this. I just want my money back! I paid $2,307.16 I received $615.16

Very understaffed, you could see it everywhere on the ship. Overcharge for excursions that weren't that great, one of our was a disaster and horribly misrepresented. Food was mediocre at best. Too much money to not be better than it was.

Lousy trip on the Dream 11/4-11/12/23! Our 12th on Carnival & last! MDR service was awful, the hub app is a joke, shows were the same as 11/2022, only one funny comedian and the overall condition of our room was lacking. The only positive was our cabin steward, Dewi! She was awesome!

Photo of Dwayne C.

Better than expected. But Carnival still needs to try harder. Seems not enough effort is being made to insure a good time is had.

Carnival is always my top choice. So much to offer both on and off the ship. I highly recommend this cruise line no matter the port. Yes you wait to in a few lines but not a bad super long wait. The food is amazing and so so much you'll surely gain weight.

Because I have to review this as a one star that is the only reason I gave them a one star we just took a trip from San Francisco to Ensenada Mexico. Don't waste your money on this carnival cruise. The trip was on the miracle ship in the miracle ship is an outdated ship that reminds me of old Reno casino. As we were making our way to Ensenada, they decided to paint the ship. It filled the entire ship with toxic paint fumes, which I thought at first were gas, but I found out from the crew. They were painting upstairs in a different area several passengers were complaining and were sick from the fumes. All the billing prices for the cruise were definitely hard to understand and very confusing. The food on the cruise for the Buffay were absolutely disgusting. Not that good in the practice buffets were OK.. after we got into Ensenada we were taken advantage of, and charged, monies that we're not authorized on my account for my American Express. This overall trip is going to keep me from taking another cruise that anytime soon or possibly ever.

We booked a cruise from Carnival in April this year. They took our deposit as well as close to $1,000 in payments. They also sent 15 confermation emails, each one with the booking number, with activities, dining, excursions, etc. They even included a count down to the cruise. The last one I received stated that I only had 8 days until my cruise. However, when I down loaded the app and went to sign in it did not recognize the reservation. When I called Carnival they stated that the system had cancelled my reservation the day after it was made and prior to the 15 confirmation emails. So now I have paid $1,000 to Carnival plus another $1,000 in other trip related items and Carnival is stating that they will not correct their mistake. They confirmed that they never sent any information on the cancelation and again, I have 15 emails confirming the reservation. I would never trust this company or book anything with them.

Waiting to board the Carnival Miracle to Alaska. Been in line over two hours and the boarding lines are barely moving. This is a very poorly managed boarding process. Carnival and whomever they hired for porters/dock management should be ashamed.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Subscriber only, minnesota timberwolves | denver cruises in game 3 to hand timberwolves first postseason defeat.

Aaron Gordon celebrates

Eventually, you run into an opponent that shoots the ball extremely well for a night or gets every bounce to fall its way.

Or — as was the case with Minnesota on Friday — sometimes you’ll lay a goose egg, as was the case in the Wolves’ 117-90 loss to the Denver Nuggets in Game 3 at Target Center. Minnesota leads the series 2-1.

“I said it before the game, for us to beat a team like the Denver Nuggets, the defending champions, you’re going to have to play better in Game 3 than you did in Game 1 and Game 2,” Karl-Anthony Towns said. “We just didn’t do that tonight and we got to be better. We got to be better next game, for sure.”

For the first time in these playoffs, Minnesota was not the aggressor. It didn’t set any type of tone. It wasn’t the hardest-playing team on the floor. It didn’t move the ball nor bodies.

Minnesota looked far more like the team that got blitzed in its regular season finale by Phoenix than the one that KO’d each of its opponents in its first six playoff contests.

Minnesota committed 16 turnovers while shooting just 44 percent from the field. Anthony Edwards led the way with just 19 points. No one else scored more than 14.

“Just sluggish. Slow pace up and down the floor. Wasn’t where we needed it to be, where it has been all postseason. Decision making wasn’t there. Just general movement, activity wasn’t there,” Wolves coach Chris Finch said. “Thought then we tried to shoot our way after one pass when the game was still there for us. We didn’t want to work very hard for our offense and got a little bit lazy and we missed those shots. We did miss a lot of layups early. Generally when you’re doing that, you’re not playing in the right mindset. Not a lot of good things on either end of the floor, really.”

Game 4 is set for 7 p.m. Sunday in Minneapolis. That contest is suddenly imperative. The series is now guaranteed to head back to Denver for a Game 5, the question is whether it will do so at 2-2 or with Minnesota sporting a shot to clinch the series.

The Target Center crowd will surely be rocking for that one, as it was at the start of Game 3 on Friday. The building was jumping prior to the pregame tip. Loud chants of “Wolves in four” echoed through the arena during the team’s pregame hype video.

But the roars were muted throughout the ensuing 48 minutes of gameplay. There wasn’t much to cheer for. Denver was up eight after the first quarter and never looked back from there.

Denver led by 15 at the break and 27 after three.

Jamal Murray — who was awful in the first two games in Denver, both with his play and response to adversity — was the best player on the floor Friday. The guard finished with 25 points on 11-for-21 shooting, hitting a number of tough shots that rendered Minnesota’s generally shutdown defense moot while also tallying five assists and three steals.

Nikola Jokic tacked on 24 points, 14 points and nine assists.

Minnesota’s offense was non-existent. Through the first two games, the Wolves moved brilliantly without the ball and shared the rock, which led to a number of easy looks.

On Friday, there was no perimeter movement. Denver’s defensive intensity was heightened in what was effectively a must-win game for the Nuggets, but Minnesota made Denver’s job easy.

Friday marked the worst Minnesota has played against the defending champs all season. The Wolves started to unravel late, piling up technical fouls in a complete role reversal from Game 2.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker was upset about a no call late, so the guard got into the official’s face to get a technical foul, then punched a chair on his way to the tunnel. He did return to the bench for the game’s closing minutes. But Alexander-Walker was in clear shoulder pain in the locker room.

Minnesota’s task now is to make sure it looks far more like the team it has been all postseason on Sunday than the one that flopped on Friday. Because if both teams compete and execute at the level they did in Game 3, the Nuggets will win every time.

Perhaps Minnesota’s urgency was lowered after handling the Nuggets twice in Denver and returning home with endless amounts of local and national praise. The Nuggets looked dead in Game 2. Perhaps the Wolves thought they’d roll over.

They should’ve known better. There is no excuse for such a mentality on Sunday.

“We’ve been doing a great job of finding ways to win, especially in Phoenix and here. And you’re playing the defending champions. I think this humbles us, this game, a little bit. It shows that you can’t just expect the same results because we’ve had those results that we’ve been wanting and looking for for six games in the playoffs,” Towns said. “So it’s a great humbling experience, I think, for our team. To understand that this is not easy. Just because we’ve been fortunate to find ourselves on the winning end for six straight playoff games don’t mean that the seventh, the eighth, the ninth, the 10th is going to be the same result.

“I think this is a great humbling experience for us and the defending champions definitely gave us that experience and it’s going to make us hungrier, I think it’s going to make us a better team, I think it’s going to show how connected we are and it’s good for us. It’s good for us, for sure.”
