What To Expect

Enjoy a sightseeing dinner cruise along the Potomac River and Washington, DC's beautiful waterfront, departing from Gangplank Marina at 600 Water Street SW. This excursion covers the Potomac River with fascinating views of DC's famous monuments and the city's historic waterfront.The Odyssey is a modern dining ship with three exquisitely decorated glass atrium dining rooms, offering amazing river views of the nation's greatest monuments from every table. These inner dining areas offers plenty of comfortable seating with large picture windows to see the sites. There is also an open-air observation deck (reminiscent of the European canal ships) and dance floors. The Captain and crew greet the guests as they arrive and the ship's photographer will record the moment for each party, if desired.For the 3-course dinner, there is a tasting trio, entrees and desserts. To begin, choose from roasted summer vegetable salad, rock shrimp spheres or whipped goat cheese. The fun begins at Rowe’s Warf in the City where you will be greeted by the friendly Captain and Crew as your board Odyssey of Boston . Once onboard this beautiful ship, you will be escorted to your table. You may order a cocktail and appetizer from your Server, or head out to the deck and take in the views of the Boston Harbor Skyline. After the ship is underway, your Server will return to bring you an amuse-bouche and take your first and second course meal options. My husband and I went on the cruise Sept. 16th. There were about 200 people on board. We had a great time! The service was very attentive. We were told we could enjoy our cocktails and eat whenever we liked. We picked from 5 or 6 appetizers and entrees and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the live band as well as seeing the skyline of Boston outside from the top deck. We appreciated the fact that all the people were dressed up. • Question: Is the Odyssey Wheelchair Accessible? Answer: Yes. The Odyssey has a deck and restrooms that can accommodate most standard-sized wheelchairs.
