Collected from hotel on time by our guide whose English was good enough for us to explain that we may need to alter the itinerary due to illness. He was mindful of this throughout the day and arranged transport for my daughter on one of the longer hikes. It was a lengthy walk but worthwhile, but the pace was perfect, covering the key historical and cultural highlights that we had hoped to see. It would have taken us two days to cover the itinerary independently we would have inevitably missed experiences that only locals could share. I've travelled independently for many years, rarely using guides, but on this occasion it was thoroughly worthwhile. I shall certainly use Shimlawalks if I return to the area in the future.

A group of female teachers have taken part in three guided walk/tours with Summit. Each time the tour was well organised, informative and we were very well looked after. The scenery is breath taking, locals friendly and there is so much to see culturally and historically. I look forward to another visit in the future.

The drivers and guides were brilliant - couldn’t ask for more from them in terms of attention, knowledge and good humour. The hotel was very comfortable but cold and gloomy in the corridors. And the long awaited train ride was long and uncomfortable and slightly underwhelming tbh. Ask for an upgrade to First Class if possible. Enjoyed exploring Shimla and learned a lot, so bar a few caveats, would recommend this tour.

Loved the entire experience from beginning to end. Everything was very well organised. I always wanted to visit Shimla and it's beautiful, stunningly rich green mountain, beautiful lakes and timeless beauty. The toy train ride was amazing with beautiful view and walking around shimla with locals was very knowledgeable. Great tour !

Overall it was a good trip. I have a reliable driver for my entire trip myself. The organizer, Mr Sanjeev, did some good suggestions as how to, for a trip to suit my case. Have had some misunderstanding about money at the end but was sorted out ok.

My tour 6 days to Shimla/Manali was a near perfect trip until i was about to catch an early flight out. I was chased to my hotel and asked to pay some extra money due to hotel rebooking which he has never mentioned a few hour earlier when we say goodbye. I guess he was not making enough money but trying this way to charge customers for his miscalculation was wrong. By the way, i did pay more than a normal customer do. And about the trip. It was good, i have a car & a reliable driver for myself. Hotels were acceptable. I have different guides to each of interest visiting place but be bewared of prices when they take you to buy merchandises in a local shop. Overall, a very affordable tour. A bit tiring with long ride but landscape compensating it.

I recently had the opportunity to go on an 8-day tour of the Taj Mahal with a stop in Nepal for some wildlife viewing. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget. First and foremost, the Taj Mahal itself was absolutely breathtaking. The white marble structure, intricate carvings, and stunning gardens were even more beautiful in person than in pictures. Our tour guide Mr.Hemender Singh was very knowledgeable and gave us a thorough history of the monument, making our visit even more meaningful. After spending a day at the Taj Mahal, we headed to Nepal for some wildlife viewing. We visited Chitwan National Park, home to a diverse range of animals including tigers, rhinos, and elephants. We went on a jeep safari and were lucky enough to spot a tiger in the wild. It was a surreal experience and one that I will never forget. Our accommodations in Nepal were also top-notch. We stayed at a beautiful resort in the middle of the jungle, complete with luxurious tents and delicious local cuisine. The staff was incredibly friendly and made sure we had a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of the trip was our visit to the elephant breeding center. We got to interact with baby elephants and learn about the efforts being made to protect and conserve these gentle giants. It was heartwarming to see the love and care given to these animals. Overall, the 8-day tour was a perfect combination of cultural and wildlife experiences. The organization of the tour was seamless, and our tour guide was attentive to our needs and preferences. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the beauty of the Taj Mahal and the wildlife of Nepal. One thing to note is that the tour does involve a fair amount of walking and some rough terrain, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Other than that, I have no complaints about this tour and would do it again in a heartbeat. Day 1 : DELHI – SHIMLA (350 KMS/9-10 HRS)

Day Services : Stay, Dinner & Car After picking from Delhi Airport/Railway station, start your wonderful vacation to Himachal starting from Shimla. Reach Shimla and check-in into the pre-booked hotel for overnight stay. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel. Shimla is renowned for its name as “Queen of Hills” due to its flattering sceneries and colonial heritage which has retained its charm from British India time till now

Day 10 AMRITSAR – LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

Amritsar is an ideal city to experience spirituality and patriotism at its best. Our Amritsar sightseeing will start off from Golden temple which is one of the holiest Sikh Gurudwaras in India. Next place to cover will be Jallianwala Bagh where a tragic massacre led by general dyer took place. Other interesting sites to cover will be Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum & ISKON Temple. At Attari border (Wagah Border), feel the passion for unity and patriotism rising. This is a place where you can see security forces of India and Pakistan lowering their flags in respect of each other. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 11 AMRITSAR – DELHI (450 KMS/10 -11 HRS)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and return to Delhi while recalling all the memorable moments of your exotic trip…

TOUR ENDS BUT SWEET MEMORIES ALWAYS REMAINS SAME. Note: My Mastertour have listed maximum number of sightseeing that can be covered in a day. However, few places may not be possible to visit due to heavy snowfall/ Rainfall / traffic jams/ limited time/ closed roads or monuments/ unforeseen incidents then my master tour is not liable to provide any kind of claim on above mentioned or similar scenarios.

Day 2 HIMLA – KUFRI – LOCAL – SHIMLA

After breakfast, proceed to Kufri (22 Kms from Shimla). Kufri is an all season place – winters are packed with snow adventures while the summers are brimmed with colourful meadows. Kufri also has a Himalayan Wildlife Zoo and Kufri Fun Park which will make the trip even more exciting (Entry & Activities at your own cost). After sightseeing, head back to Shimla. In the city we will visit the Indian Institute of Advance Study, also you will cover places by walking The Mall, Scandal Point, Ridge, Gaiety Theatre, Heritage Museum, Lakkar Bazaar, Rani Jhansi Park and Christ Church. Overnight stay will be at your booked hotel.

Day 3 SHIMLA –KULLU – MANALI (250 KMS/7-8 HRS)

Today morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceeded towards Manali. On the way, catch glimpses of Sundar Nagar Lake andPandoh dam, , Vaishno Devi Temple. Near Kullu you will be visiting Pashmina Shawl showrooms and can try your hands at white water River Rafting too. Reach Manali followed by check-in into the hotel. Overnight stay will be in a hotel.

Note : Kullu River Rafting and paragliding will be on your own expenses and subject to weather conditions.

Day 4 MANALI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

After freshening up, enjoy the Manali local sightseeing tour. Start your trip by covering Hadimba Devi Temple and Ghatotkacha Temple. The temples are dedicated to Mata Hadimba (the most worshipped deity in Himahcal) and her son Ghatotkacha. The Clubhouse will be the next place to visit. Here, enjoy recreational activities such as Skating, disco, zipline, TT and much more. Later bathe ourselves in Sage Vashisht’s Hot Springs containing Medical properties. Right across the Hot spring are temples of Lord shiva and Lord Ram where one can pay a visit. Overnight stay will be in a reserved Hotel.

Day 5 MANALI – SOLANG VALLEY - MANALI

Wake up to the sweet sound of nature and after breakfast head towards Solang Valley. This valley is famous for its adventure activities and you can try your hand at Paragliding, Zorbing, ATV Rides, Horse-riding, Trail-rides and so much more. Before indulging in these activities make sure to understand all safety protocols and measures.

Winter Note: During Snowfall Solang valley sightseeing point will be covered if weather, road condition is clear and possibilities of vehicles to reach there, otherwise sightseeing up to Barrier Point will be provided (4X4 jeep Charge Extra).

Optional Tours at extra cost

You can also visit and drive – through the newly built Atal Tunnel, one of the highest Tunnels in the World. This tunnel acts as a gateway to the Lahaul & Spiti Valley. You can make a stop at the North-Portal of the tunnel for an amazing photo-shoot. This option will be at extra cost. Afterwards return to the hotel for dinner and a comfortable stay.

Day 6 MANALI – DHARAMSHALA (240 KMS / 7-8 HRS)

After breakfast check out from the Hotel & drive to Dharamshala. On the way you can visit Hanogi Mata Temple, Vaishno Devi Temple. Near Kullu you will be visiting Pashmina Shawl showrooms and will try out our hands on white water River Rafting, Paragliding. Reach Dharamshala & transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 DHARAMSHALA – LOCAL SIGHTSEEING-– DALHOUSIE (120 KMS/5-6 HRS)

Enjoy your morning meal, check out from the hotel and proceed to cover sightseeing Mcleodganj and Tsuglagkhang complex. It is the official residence of 14th Dalai Lama which also hosts Namgyal Gompa, Tibet museum, Mclordganj library, cafe and a souvenir shop. Other interesting places to cover in Dharamshala will be Bhagsu Nag Temple & Waterfall, St. John Church, War Memorial, Cricket Stadium and local market. Later drive to Dalhousie. Arrive & transfer to Dalhousie hotel. Overnight stay will be at Hotel.

Day 8 KHAJJIAR + DALHOUSIE LOCAL

Today after a hearty breakfast, I cover Khajjiar sightseeing (22 Kms from Dalhousie). Khajjiar is a place where one can easily spend the whole day by admiring the beauty of sparkling Khajjiar Lake and lush greenery surrounding it. The place is also famous with the name of “Mini Switzerland of India '' due to its similar landscapes to that of Switzerland Later hit the roads to Dalhousie. Later returned to Dalhousie. Visit local sightseeing which will cover Panchpula Waterfall and churches of St. John’s. Other interesting places to cover nearby Dalhousie will be churches St. Francis & St. Patricks, Subhash Chowk and Tibetan Market. Evening return to the hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

WINTER NOTE : In Winters Due to Snowfall Khajjiar Sightseeing will be Subject to Road Conditions and as per Govt Rules & If Possible to reach via Chamba it will be Extra Chargeable on the spot.

Day 9 DALHOUSIE – AMRITSAR (200 KMS/5-6 HRS)

Today after a hearty breakfast check out from Dalhousie and proceed towards Amritsar which is also famous with a nickname of “Golden City”. Arrive Amritsar & check-in into the hotel. Evening you are free for leisure.Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Delhi To Shimla

After pick from Delhi Airport/Railway station, start your wonderful vacation to Himachal starting from Shimla. Reach Shimla and check-in into the pre-booked hotel for Overnight stay. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel. Shimla renowned its name as Queen of hills due to its flattering sceneries and colonial heritage which has retained its charm from British India time to till now.

Day 2 : Shimla Kufri Local Shimla

After breakfast proceed to Kufri (22 Kms from Shimla). Kufri is all season place – winters are packed with snow adventures while the summers are brimmed with colourful meadows. Kufri also has a Himalayan Wildlife Zoo and Kufri Fun Park which will make your trip even more exciting (Entry & activities on your own cost). After sightseeing take the roads back to Shimla. In the city we will visit Advance Study, Also you will cover Places by walking The Mall, Scandal Point, Ridge, Gaiety Theatre, Heritage Museum, Lakkar Bazaar, Rani Jhansi Park and Christ Church. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 3 : Shimla Kullu Manali

Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed towards Manali. On the way catch glimpses of Vaishno Devi Temple, Hanogi Mata Temple, Near Kullu, we will take a stroll in Pashmina Shawl Showrooms and will try out our hands on white water River Rafting too. Reach Manali followed by check-in into the hotel. Overnight stay will be in hotel. Note: Kullu River Rafting will be on your own expenses and subject to weather conditions. Day 4 : Manali Local Tour

After fresh up enjoy Manali local sightseeing tour. Start your trip by covering Hadimba Devi Temple and Ghatotkacha Temple. The temples are dedicated to Mata Hadimba (the most worshipped deity in Himachal) and her son Ghatotkacha. Clubhouse will be next place to visit. Here, enjoy recreational activities such as Skating, disco, zipline, TT and much more. Later bathe yourselves in Sage Vashisht’s Hot Springs containing Medical properties. Right across the Hot spring are temples of Lord Shiva and Lord Ram where one can pay a visit. Overnight stay will be in reserved Hotel.

Day 5 : Manali Solang Valley/Rohtan/Atal Tunnel

Wake up to the sweet sound of nature and after breakfast head towards Solang Valley. This valley is famous for its adventure activities and you can try your hand at Paragliding, Zorbing, ATV Rides, Horse-riding, Trail-rides and so much more. Before indulging in these activities make sure to understand all safety protocols and measures. Option 1. You can also visit Rohtang Pass – this will be solely on the discretion of the local & NGT governing authorities and at extra cost. Option 2. You can also visit and drive – through the newly built Atal Tunnel, one of the highest Tunnels in the World. This tunnel acts as a gateway to the Lahaul & Spiti Valley. You can make a stop at the North-Portal of the tunnel for an amazing photo-shoot. This option will be at extra cost. Afterwards return to hotel for dinner and a comfortable stay. NOTE : Kindly inform us to add these options at the time of booking. Note: Rohtang pass is closed on every Tuesday and during snowfall months/days. NGT (National Green Tribunal) has also limited the number of vehicles visiting Rohtang pass in a day. Thus, this sightseeing will be subject to permit obtained on the spot and extra cost (Permit + Vehicle charges). Please Note: Adventure activities will be at your own risk and cost.

Day 6 : Manali Dharamshala

After breakfast check out from the Hotel & drive to Dharamshala. On the way witness the lush green valleys, tranquil waterfalls and spectacular sight of lofty mountains meeting the clouds. Reach Dharamshala & transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 7 : Dharamshala Sightseeing - Dalhausie

After enjoying your morning meal and proceed to cover Mcleodganj where you can cover Tsuglagkhang complex. It is the official residence of 14th Dalai Lama which also hosts Namgyal Gompa, Tibet museum, library, cafe and a souvenir shop. Other interesting places to cover in Dharamshala will be Bhagsu Nag Temple & Waterfall, St. John Church, War Memorial, Cricket Stadium and local market. After sightseeing drive to Dalhousie. The place is also famous with the name of “Mini Switzerland of India” due to its similar landscapes to that of Switzerland. Arrive & transfer to Dalhousie hotel. Rest of the day will be free to explore the local Market. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 8 : Khajjiar - Dalhausie Local Tour

Today after heartily breakfast cover Khajjiar sightseeing (22 Kms from Dalhousie). Khajjiar is a place where one can easily spend whole day by admiring the beauty of sparkling Khajjair Lake and lush greenery surrounding it. Later hit the roads to Dalhousie. On the way back, we will take a halt at Panchpula Waterfall and churches of St. John’s. Other interesting places to cover nearby Dalhousie will be churches St. Francis & St. Patricks, Subhash Chowk and Tibetan Market. Overnight stay will be at hotel. WINTER NOTE: In Winters Due to Snow fall Khajjiar Sightseeing will Be Subject to Road Conditions and as per Govt Rules & If Possible to reach via Chamba it will be Extra Chargeable on the spot.

Day 9 : Dalhausie Amritsar

Today after heartily breakfast check out from Dalhousie and proceed towards Amritsar which also famous with a nickname of “Golden City”. Arrive Amritsar & check-in into the hotel. Evening you are free for leisure .Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10 : Amritsar Local Sightseeing

Amritsar is an ideal city to experience spirituality and patriotism at its best. Our Amritsar sightseeing will start off from Golden temple which is one of the holiest Sikh Gurudwaras in India. Next place to cover will be Jallianwala Bagh where tragic massacre led by general dyer took place. Other interesting sites to cover will be Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum & ISKON Temple. At Attari border (waga Border), feel the passion for unity and patriotism rising. This is a place where you can see security forces of India and Pakistan lowering their flags in respect of each other. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Enchanting Incredible North India

Situated in North India, Himachal Pradesh (Abode of Snow) is surrounded by Jammu & Kashmir on the north; Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh to the south; Uttaranchal to the south east and the Chinese territory of Tibet to the east. The state is mostly covered by the low Shivalik hill range towards the south and the dramatically high trans-Himalayan ranges as you go north. Thus you can proceed from hill-town Dharamsala in the south, at 1700m, to Lahaul-and-Spiti, the northernmost district, at 6500m. This geography and the resultant cool-to-snowy climate, define Himachal’s tourist attractions as well; in fact, tourism and apple-growing run the economy of the state. Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, and Parbati are the main rivers.

Given its mountainous nature, Himachal can best be understood in terms of its valleys. In the southern Kangra valley, Dharamsala and sister town McLeodganj are the focus of the Dalai Lama’s Tibetan government-in-exile. In western Himachal lies Chamba Valley, with Dalhousie, a British-time hill station. Towards the east, all the way to Tibet lies the Kinnaur region, which was off limits for tourists till 1992 and contains villages and lifestyles that are still untouched by modernity. In the centre, the Kullu valley is famous for its apples, producing about 9000 truckloads of them every year. Here, Manali town is a good base for adventure sports such as paragliding, skiing, river rafting and trekking. December-March are good months for winter sports or to see the snow. The northernmost Lahaul-Spiti district is isolated, snow-bound terrain accessible only between July-October, with some well-preserved 1000-year old Buddhist monasteries and culture.

Himachal’s capital Shimla, developed by the British in the mid-19th century as a hill station that helped them escape hot summers, is full of colonial architecture and churches. Shimla makes a good base for less-crowded hill destinations such as Chail, Kufri, Narkanda, or Kasauli, all located at comfortable altitudes of 2000-2750 metres.

In the days before independence, Shimla was the most important British hill station, and in the summer season became the summer capital. The British in 1819A.D first discovered Shimla, but it was not until 1822 A.D that the first permanent house was erected and not until many years later that Shimla became the summer capital. The name Shimla is derived from the Himalayan Goddess Shamla a synonym of Kali.

Dalhousie is named after the British Governor General of the 19th century Lord Dalhousie. The town’s height varies between 1525m and 2378m and is surrounded by varied vegetation. Dalhousie has charming colonial architecture, including some beautiful churches. The spectacular snow-covered Dhauladhar Mountains are also visible from this enchanting town.

Chamba, the land of antiquity, art and scenic beauty, is a wonder in itself for every visitor. Situated at the height of 996 m. above sea level on the south bank of the Ravi River, the ancient Pahari capital was founded in 920 A.D. by Raja Sahil Verma, who named it after his favorite daughter Champavati.

Chamba valley is noted for the magnificence of it’s scenery-touching the fringe of the Shivaliks and having three well-defined snowy ranges, the

Dauladhar, constituting the outer Himalayas, the Pir Panjal or the mid Himalayas, and the Zanskar range or the inner Himalayas.

Dharamshala

Set against the backdrop of the dramatic Dhauladhar Mountains, Dharamshala is perched on the high slopes in upper reaches of Kangra Valley. It is charming town with elegant bungalows nestling in thick coniferous forests. Dharamshala is also the home of Dalai Lama, spiritual head of Buddhists. Little Lhasa is an enchanting world where spinning prayer wheels and fluttering prayer flags spread the message of peace and universal harmony.

Kullu Valley

Kullu was once known as Kulanthpitha, which means the end of the habitable world. Beyond rose the forbidding heights of the Greater Himalayas, and by the banks of the shining river Beas, lay the fabled ‘Silver Valley’. The ‘Silver Valley’ has nature’s treasures that lie carelessly scattered as flowers on the high meadows.

The Valley of Gods, as the Kullu Valley has come to be known, if perhaps the most delightful region in the Western Himalayas. Situated on the banks of the river Beas, Kullu, the headquarters of the district, serves as a nerve centre of the valley and is the starting place for a number of treks.

Manali is the Northern end of the Kullu Valley and is the main resort in the area. It is beautifully situated and there are many pleasant walks around the town. Surrounded by towering peaks at arm length, Manali’s major asset is its proximity to the snowline, never more than few hours drive from the town nestling at comfortable 2050meters. It is the center of the flourishing orchard industry a popular honeymoon destination and trailhead for numerous treks.

Kinnaur, Spiti, Lahaul

Lahaul and Spiti are two remote Himalayan valleys of Himachal Pradesh lying on the Indo-Tibet border. Strange, exciting, primitive, these valleys are incomparable in mountain scape, in the rugged beauty of their rocky escapements and the splendor of their snow covered peaks.

Kinnaur is one of the most scenic but less known districts of Pradesh Located on the Indo-Tibetan border, it is surrounded by Tibet to the east, Garhwal Himalayas to the south, Spiti valley to the north and Kullu to the west. The Satluj River, which rises on the southern slopes of Kailash Parbat near Mansarovar in Tibet, flows through the Kinnaur valley.
